The Reason

I woke up without feeling any pain on my right hoof. Pica's massage really helped me a lot. I looked around and saw Pica sleeping beside me. She was holding on to my left hoof. Unlike the last time she held on to me I just waited for her to wake up. I watched her sleep. I whispered to her ear "We may be the same but I'm not as cute as you when I'm asleep.". I chuckled a bit as I saw her ear twitch.

"That's because I am cuter than you." Pica suddenly opened her eyes. "And besides I'm a mare." she looked at me and smiled.

"Why do I keep forgetting that you're a mare?" I teased her.

"Really funny." she pushed me off bed. I ended up on the floor.

"That could have been hurt but if it weren't for your help." I smiled at her.

"You know me, always trying to help you." she chuckled.

"Yeah sure." I grabbed her right hoof. "Always trying to help." I dragged her down. She landed on the floor next to me. Specifically on my left side. She laughed so hard. I looked at her laughing face. I moved my right hoof closer to her face. She stopped laughing as soon as I touched her face with my right hoof.

"Is there something on my face?" she asked. I suddenly snapped back to reality.

"Oh nothing." I stood up  "Lets have our breakfast." I helped her stand up. We went downstairs and had an ordinary breakfast. She didn't talked much that time. After we finished breakfast I told her to wait for a few moments while I prepare the pencil and paper.

"What are we gonna do with a paper and pencil?" she raised an eyebrow.

"I told you that we're going to write our wishes in a paper then hang it on the Christmas tree." I smiled at her. I grabbed some papers around the library and 2 pencils. I went back to Pica and passed her 3 papers and a pencil. "I want you to write your wishes but don't show it to me I'll just be reading it on Christmas day." I instructed her.

"If you say so." she covered her paper with her left hoof. I went back to the living room because that's the only best room to think.

"Now what?" I thought to myself. After moments of thinking I finally had an idea on what to write. After I finished writing I hanged them on the Christmas tree with some hook. I went back to check on how is Pica going. "Hey you do-." I didn't get to finish my sentence as I saw her looking down on the paper with a sad face. "What's wrong?" I moved closer to her. She snapped back to reality and covered her paper.

"Oh nothing." she smiled at me but I still could see the sadness on her face.

"Sure, anyway are you done yet?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Not yet, I'll just hang them when I'm done." she looked back at the paper. I sat near the table and waited for her to finish. After 3 minutes she finally stood up and went to the living room.

"Hope that makes you happy." I said quietly. After she finished hanging her papers she walked beside me and asked what I was doing. "Just making a fruit salad and a mango float." I looked at her.

"Well then let me help you." she grabbed a bowl and the ingredients for the fruit salad. "You go make the mango float I'll make the salad." she smiled at me. After we finished making the salad and the mango float we put it inside the cooler with some ice.

"Now all we need to do is wait for it to freeze." we went to the living room.

"Shouldn't you be going to the hospital?" she asked me.

"I don't need to." I looked at her.

"It's important to get your right hoof checked." she gave me a worried look.

"Okay." I looked at the clock and it was 12:00 P.M. "Just let me take my bath and yours too." After we both took our bath I grabbed my saddle upstairs. "Wait for me at the door downstairs I'll just check my saddle to see if there's something missing." she nodded and went downstairs. "Looks like I got everything I need." I closed my saddle and looked around the bedroom. I saw Pica's scarf on the bed. "What's the point of buying Pica things if she would disappear tomorrow." I thought to myself. I grabbed the scarf and head downstairs. "Pica you forgot your scarf!" I yelled to her as I walked to the door.

"Almost forgot." she gave me a sheepish smile. She tried to wear the scarf but it looks like it isn't going so well.

"Here let me help you." I helped her wear the scarf right.

"Thank you." she looked at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"You're welcome." I smiled at her. "And that's why I need to do anything to help you have a real life." I thought to myself as we walk.
