A Christmas with Myself

Snows Fall

As we head on to the hospital I started complaining. "Do I really need to go?" I sounded like a little foal. She answered with a simple nod. "I already told you I'm fine." I tried to showoff by stepping my right hoof really hard. She just ignored me. After a few more steps I felt the pain building up on my right hoof. I tried to walk without my right hoof again.

"Told you, you need to go to the hospital." she chuckled a bit after seeing me walk on 3 hooves. After resisting the pain for 3 minutes we finally reached the hospital. We went inside the hospital. Pica talked to a nurse. She has a pink mane and tale. Her fur is pure white and she has a red cross cutiemark. "Where can he get a check up cause he broke his right hoof?" Pica pointed her hoof at me but still facing the nurse.

"Well since most of the doctors are busy I could do the check up." the nurse led the way to the X-ray room. "By the way the name is Redheart." she introduced herself as we walk to the X-ray room. We entered a room as large as Twilight's bedroom. "Stand still while I operate the machine." Redheart instructed me. "Oh and can you please move to my side to avoid any problems." she said to Pica. After Pica walked towards Redheart a flash of light struck my eyes. "Done, the only thing to do now is to wait for the scan just sit at the lobby and we will bring the results to you." Redheart escorted us back to the lobby.

"Told you it isn't bad." Pica said to me.

"I know, I just don't want to go to the hospital that's all." I replied.

"Or you're just afraid that you might get an operation." she chuckled.

"Yeah sure." I smiled at her. After waiting for a few minutes Redheart rushed towards us.

"Sorry for the inconvenience but the results might take a while because a pegasus needs some focus attention." Redheart was sweating.

"Why?" I asked Redheart.

"He broke a lot of bone." she gave me a sheepish look.

"We'll just wait for the results here." I replied. I saw Redheart rush towards the intensive care unit section.

"Looks like Thunderlane made it to the hospital." Pica said to me.

"Yeah." I chuckled a bit. "Maybe I should apologize since it's Christmas." I looked at Pica.

"You could if the staffs will let you in." she pointed a staff that is guarding the door to the intensive care unit section.

"Maybe not." I gave Pica a sheepish smile. After waiting for hours Redheart finally walked towards us.

"Sorry if it took so long but here it is." Redheart said while handing the results to Pica.

"Thank you and merry Christmas." Pica said to Redheart with a smile. Redheart nodded as she walked back to the intensive care unit section.

"We'll just check it when we get home." I told to Pica. We head out of the hospital and it was already dark.Just in time that the snows were falling. "Well would you look at that, just at the right moment." I looked at Pica. She was amazed like a little foal seeing snows fall. I chuckled at her. "First time seeing snows right?" I asked her.

"I know a lot about snow but I have never seen one." she replied.

"How could you know a lot about it?" I raised an eyebrow.

"How could I walk?" she replied.

"Good point." I laughed. We went back home and went upstairs. We sat on the bed and opened the envelope that contains the result. "Doesn't look pretty serious to me." the x-ray picture shows that the bones in my right hoof are unaligned.

"What are you talking about can't you see that your bones are unaligned?" Pica gave me a concerned look.

"All I need are some rest and this bone will straighten up." I gave her a smile.

"I hope so, if your bones are in a serious case it looks like you won't be receiving your gift." she looked down.

"What gift?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You could find out tomorrow since it's Christmas tomorrow." she smiled at me.

"Fine." I put the envelope on top of the table near the bed. We laid down on the bed and went to sleep.
