A Payment of Happiness - Appetizer

I never felt so sleepy in my entire life. I woke up later than my normal wake up time. As I opened my eyes I saw Pica smiling at me. "Wake up it's already morning." she pulled me up.

"Why are you up so early?" I asked to her.

"Well I want to return the kindness of what you did for me yesterday." I can see the excitement in her eyes. I noticed that she was wearing an apron. "What's with the apron?" I pointed the apron she was wearing.

"So I won't be messy while cooking." she nuzzled me.

"Wait, since when did you learn how to cook?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Lots of cooking books down stairs." she rubbed my mane.

"When did you started reading the books down stairs?" I moved a bit closer to her.

"Do you really want to know?" she gave me a weird smile. I simply nodded "If you want to know when, first you'll have to come closer." I moved closer to her. "Put your ear near my muzzle." I followed her command. "I started reading when-," she suddenly stopped and start to nibble on my ear. I jumped out of surprise and then fell down on the floor. She laughed as she saw my shocked and blushing face.

"You could have just said it to me straight." I rubbed my ear.

"Where's the fun in that." she continued laughing. "I started reading books at 6:30 A.M." she finally stated her answer.

"So you read that early just to learn how to cook?" I stood up from the ground.

"Well just as I told you I want to pay you back from the kindness you did." she nuzzled my cheeks.

"Well you don't have to go through all of that trouble just for me." I hugged her.

"I guess you really do have feelings for me." she hugged me back.

"It's just a hug of appreciation." I released from the hug.

"Well it feels different from me." she grinned at me. As she escorted me downstairs I saw the outcome of her reading all morning. The food she prepared looked appetizing.

"You've really outdone yourself." I would have gave her a thumbs up if I only have fingers.

"A breakfast is not enough to pay back what you have done for me." she gave me a weird smile. I took a seat near the table and then started munch the food she made. The breakfast she made was delicious.

"The time you spend reading really paid off." I smiled at her.

"Yeah but it's not enough to pay for what you have done for me yesterday." I raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" she slowly moved closer to me. "What are you planning to do?" she didn't respond as if she did not hear anything. "Pica what are you planning?" she sat near me and whispered.

"That was just the appetizer you still haven't got the main course." I swallowed a lot of air as she tried to blindfold me. "Don't worry it will be worth it."
