Rainbow Dash moved away from Cloudsdale to a small town called Ponydale in order to escape her destiny as a vampony Slayer. When she arrived in Ponydale, she met two new friends: a shy pegasus named Fluttershy and her best friend, a baby dragon named Spike. However, she also met her new Watcher, a stuffy unicorn named Twilight Sparkle, who told her that Ponydale High is located above a mystical point of evil energy called a Hellfoal. Then, Rainbow found out that a powerful vampony called the Lord of the Vamponies was planning to break free from his eternal prison and destroy Ponydale. As she struggled between school and the constant threat of the Lord of the Vamponies, Rainbow began to crack under the pressure. Soon, the night when the Lord of the Vamponies was prophesied to rise came, and he rose up to take over Ponydale. However, Rainbow and her friends faced him and his army of vamponies at Sugarcube Corner and defeated them. Finally, a powerful alicorn named Nightmare Moon arrived in Ponydale, bent on taking over all of Equestria.
