Episode 1 - Part 2 - " You will buy something ?"
Welcome to part 2, this chapter will introduce another main character and a side. I will try to get the plot going on more on this one, so you can get to "explore" the characters better and the setting. Thank you for reading.

The market area was sure full that day, not that it wasn't necessarily empty any day but this day had a high quantity of ponies in it. The market area was in a "giant" circle, the road had became a big circle with all the stores at the limits of the circle, except for one empty spot at the end of it that seemed where the road began again. The stores were set in tents, to small cabins to just a simple table with stuff on. All at side of each another at the limits of the circle.
Hank walked into the area, and looked around, turning his head left and right. When he spotted the exit at the end of the circle, his first movement was to start walking towards, as it was his objective to get home before anything odd hap-
" Hey !" Yelled a familiar voice at Hank.
" Huh ?" Hank started to look at his left,right, back, front, but no sight of who was calling him. Even for a second, he thought that he had imagined that. " Who is this ?"
" Aww...It's me, Zeek ! And...up-here !" Said Zeek, flying above Hank with his wings. He was holding the book that Hank dropped on one of his hooves.
Hank looked up and just couldn't believe in that, it was that crazy pegasus again !
" Damn it ! What the heck you want from me ?! Can't you see that I'm trying to get home in PEACE ?!" Yelled Hank at the flying Zeek, that was landing at his front.
" Well...Ok, its your right-" Was saying Zeek, changing to a normal face as Hank cut him.
" You damn right " Said Hank offensively, staring at Zeek's eyes. " Why in the name of science you would keep following me ?!"
" But..." Now Zeek had a sadness at his face, " I just wanted to give your book back..." Said Zeek as he showed Hank the book with the silver lock.
Now, suddenly, Hank felt like an big idiot. That pegasus was just wishing to give one of his most dear books back. Since when he had became so ungrateful ?
" Oh, huum..." Hank had no words now, he simply lost his them as he saw how offensive he was with Zeek. " Thank you, Zeek ? Its Zeek, right ? " Asked Hank, grabbing the book with his magic and putting back in his bag.
" It's Zeek, thank you" Answered Zeek, now getting his smile back. He was glad to do the right thing, especially with a new in town. " But can I ask you something ?".
" Well, I..." Hank thought for a second if he should go on with the talk, since he was just trying to escape from Zeek a few moments ago. But he soon came with the conclusion that the only way to thank Zeek was to give him answers " My name is Hank."
-" Hehehe, that a name that sounds alright. So, can I show you around ? This time I will be decent, I promise !" Asked Zeek, making up a cute sad face. " Please....?"
-" Humm, well, you sure are an insistent one" Hank started to quickly think in the offer, even if it was a very simple one. He would be exposing himself, yes, but at another hoove...he sure would love the information that Zeek could bring. With deep sigh, Hank answered " Sure, why not ?"
" That one is Zack Big's store. He sells foods of all kinds" Said Zeek, pointing with his hoove at a cabin with the sight " Zack Big's big store"
Hank was getting amaze of how much were in that market. There was a store selling used objects for a "fair" price, for example, a simple wheel-chair being sold to a small pony and his very old granny for a reasonable price. The other stories not only sold things but services, to fixing to relaxing treatments. It was no surprise that there was many ponies in there, that place was fabulous !
" Wow, this all is sort of new to me. I never saw so much in one place" Said Hank, scanning each store with his eyes, until they stopped at one in specific. "Hummm?"
" Green Way is a wonderful place to live, I moved here years ago. I was little by the time, as I remember. " Kept Zeek talking as he didn't noticed Hank stopping on the place. " My parents moved in search for better places to stay and-" Zeek kept talking until his voice wasn't in reach anymore to Hank.
Hank glared at the little tent with a small orange pony, with a red mane and tail. The tent had a sight on the top it " Thoughts for Sale", The name had caught Hank's attention as he started to walk towards the tent. There was nopony around or in, except that lone little pony, that had pretty smile on his face as he saw Hank coming closer.
" Hello Sir ! Welcome !" Said that little pony, that now Hank could see that it was a girl. " Are you here for thoughts ?" Asked her as Hank looked at the stuff around her. It was simple things, like cereal boxes and apples but was still odd.
" Are you selling these things ?" Asked Hank to the little girl as he was slightly confused.
" Oh no, these are thought" Answered her as he grabbed a small cereal box " This was when a pony thought about hunger. Soo I placed it here to expose it" Explained her as still it didn't made a lot of sense.
" Look,kiddo, you are not making sense. Explain again, but better " Said Hank, now curious of how that worked.
The little girl got up and walked at Hank, she stopped when she was at his front. " I was born special...I can see special things about ponies when I think of something in specific about them. For example, choice something that you would like to hear about." Asked the girl as she sits down, still looking at Hank. " Please, sit down".
Hank slowly started to sit down, when he was done, the little girl picked his hooves . " So, tell me...what you want me to think about it?" Asked her, now with her eyes closed. Maybe it was nothing but Hank was starting to feel odd, like if something was inside of his mind. But since he had started it, he couldn't stop it. " Think about...myself"
An odd silence took over both of them, as Hank was just expecting her answer. He didn't knew if she was lying or anything but since he saw that tent, he felt the will to check it out, so there wouldn't be anything wrong, right ?
" You...you are interesting. " Said the girl, still not opening her eyes. " I see...a lot of things, I can see you. You are running, running from many flying creatures. You are scared but goes on. Your mind is full and it seems that it holds secret things. Things that you want to keep it locked... I want to open it but, it doesn't open" Hank was starting to feel dizzy now, almost size " argh...look, we be-" He was soon cut by the girl " Wait !...I see something ! Its big ! I hear a female laugh, but a evil one. She busted into green flames and...and...She saw me ! AHHHHHHHH !!" The girl fell down, completely blacked out.
Hank felt sick, dizzy and almost about to throw up. That girl really messed with delicate things in his mind ! But as soon he came to his senses, he saw the little girl on the ground, showing no sight of movement. " Hey ! HEY ! " Hank placed her head on his lap and started to gently tap her cheek. But she wasn't showing any sights of movement, she was breathing but not waking up. " Come on ! Wake up ! Dang it !"
" What is going on here ?" Said a female voice behind Hank as her shadow was on him.
Hank quickly turned at at her, and what he saw was beautiful. The mysterious female was tall unipegasus, with white skin and blue mane and tail. Her blue eyes shinned like crystal as her cutie mark was a rose with moon behind it. She would be perfect if it wasn't for one thing, her face was very worried.
"Please, help her !" Hank said, almost begging, feeling guilty for causing that to her, a mere child.
" Humm, handle her over. Please " Asked the unipegasus in a sweet voice.
" Al..alright, but please, make her wake up !" Asked Hank again as he handled over the girl to her hooves.
" Hummm" She started to check everything on her, her pulse, her eyes and others. Soon, she looked at Hank, coming to the conclusion " She is asleep...".
" But why ? For how long ?!" Yelled Hank, now worried that she may never "wake up".
But that panic was soon faded away as the unipegasus simply said " Talia is like this. If she stays in that mind-state for too long, she consumes all her energies. So she is just taking a nap..."
" Talia...? It's that her name ? Well, she will be fine ?" Asked Hank to her, looking at Talia.
" Yes, she will," Guaranteed her as she walked into the tent and placed Talia on her blankets " There we go..." She pats her head and walk out to Hank " She will be fine, don't worry. You can relax." She said with a smile on her face.
" Alright...Whew...It was just so scary, she just fell down and didn't moved" Confessed Hank to her, slowly getting better.
" Yes, it isn't the first time that she does that, but it won't be the last, probably. She is a good girl, all that she needs is ponies that understand her "powers" Said her as she looked at the sleeping Talia. " Anyway, you must be Hank. " She looked at him with a smile. " Glad to finally meet you."
Hank was confused, how she knew him ? " How you know me ? " Asked Hank to her.
" Well, Its because I was expecting you in the town. I'm P-"
A yell stopped them both in surprise " WAAAAIT !!!" and a something landed very hard between them, almost making a hole on the ground. " Arrgh...bad landing. Bad. "
" What the...?" Asked Hank to himself as the dust went off and it revealed Zeek, all dizzy on the ground. " Oh ! Zeek! I almost forgot about you."
" Hehehehe...arrgh....I...I'm veeeeeery memorable...Why you didn't followed me ?!" Asked Zeek, still dizzy but trying to get up.
" Oh you, Zeek. Hehehehe" Said the Unipegasus as she started to help him up. " How you feel ?"
" ohhh, I don't know...mommy ? its that you ? " Now Zeek was just talking non-sense as he was too much out of himself. The land was that hard.
" Wait. Let me fix him. " Said Hank, as placed one of his bags down and grabbed something. " It works, trust me." Hank said as he took out a small black baton.
" You are not going to hit him with that, are you ?!" Asked the unipegasus with a worried face. " Look, I will fix him with magic !"
But before she could do anything, Hank pressed a button on the baton and it became quickly opened, becoming some sort of umbrella-like object. "Step aside, I always wanted to test this on somepony" Said Hank as he got at front of Zeek and pressed the another button. Suddenly, the "umbrella" began to spin very fast at front of Zeek's face. And it kept like that for a whole minute.
"How does that is suppose to help ?" Asked the unipegasus, now very unsure of what Hank was doing with Zeek.
" Just watch...just...watch. " Said Hank in a low tone, almost like asking to the baton to work.
" arrgh...Wait, where I'm ? " Asked Zeek as now he was back at his senses. "What is that ? " asked him as he looked at the machine.
" IT WORKS !" Yell Hank happily " EUREKA !" He quickly pulled the machine down and looked at Zeek " How you feel ?"
Zeek rubbed his chin. " Ok now, I guess. My mind feels so clean right now..." He smiled at Hank " Thank you, Hank."
" That is just incredible ! How does it work ?!" Asked the unipegasus at Hank, looking at the machine.
" awww, look..." Said Hank in a slow tone. A little shy as a smile was on face, he never saw someone thanking him.
" Come on, we all want to see how it works ! " Said Zeek as he placed his one of his hooves at Hank's shoulder.
Hank started to think if that was a good idea. For a side, it could be good to share new ideas and show to the ponies his intentions but...
" Look, guys..." Said Hank in a sad tone." No, not just yet. Sorry, this machine is too advanced for you all to understand..." He looked away in shame.
There was a silence between them as all that "climax" had been destroyed by Hank's refuse. The unipegasus's face was now a soft sad smile. As with Zeek, his lips turned a little down, but suddenly, they came back up, forming his smile.
" He is shy ! " claimed Zeek as he laughs enjoyably. " He just don't feel ready to show. But that is fine, buddy !" Said Zeek as he started to pad Hank's back. " You can show it later. Anyway..." He turned to the unipegasus " I'm doing what I was requested. I swear !" Said Zeek, in a very ashamed face.
Hank was stunned by how Zeek was silly, what he could not understand was why he was like that. It was some trauma of infancy that made him have some trouble ? Maybe ? But Hank's attention soon got took away to the unipegasus, as now he was doing the math about her identity.
" Wait...you are -" Was saying Hank, quickly cut off by the unipegasus, who placed her hoove over her chest and rose her head up.
" Yes, Im Princess Victoria Rose Moon, legit relative of Princess Celestia and loyal representative of Green Way city !"
" Yeah, that is right, " Continued Zeek as Rose placed her hoove down " She knew of your coming and she asked me to get you home safety, but it seems that I'm doing bad job....hehehe " Said Zeek in a shameful tone. " Sorry !"
" That is ok, Zeek, lets say that thanks to you, I was able to meet Hank personally, which is for me, a unique experience." Said her, cheering him up.
Hank watched them for a second and asked in a suspected tone " Why I'm a "unique experience " ? " He kept his face straight and serious.
Rose turned her face at him. " Oh..." She turned her attention completely to Hank now " Because you are a different kind of unicorn. Most unicorns would relay on magic, but I only saw you relay on science. That is very new and I enjoy new things." Rose completed her face with a smile.
" That is right ! You are so new ! I never saw anypony being so smart ! I imagine what else you can do ! " Said Zeek, looking at Hank with an impressed smile. " You can cure diseases ! You maybe can even create the next generation console! "
Hank just didn't wanted that for him, he didn't wanted to be famous. What he wanted was to do good with his knowledge, he knew ponies that would abuse of that intelligence and use that for evil intentions.
He quickly started to denied everything that Zeek was saying. " No, no, no ! Look ! I won't make the next generation console. Why would I do that ? And curing diseases isn't easy ! It isn't easy being who I'm ! " Now Hank was almost yelling at them. "Why don't you two just leave me be ?! I.DON'T.WANT.FRIENDS !! " Hank quickly stormed away from them, thinking about what he had just done.
" Is he like this ...?" Asked Rose to Zeek with a mix of worry and shock on her face.
With a sigh, Zeek answered " Sort of, but we can fix him ! All he needs is a chance of getting out of the cocoon! Look, he is going home, right ? Then we shall do this..." Zeek placed the mouth close of Rose's ear as he started to talk about his plan.
Hank was now thinking if he had done the right thing by just being so offensive with them, but he couldn't help it, that was him. The genius but anti-social mind. He had his reasons to not to trust friends. Friends, to Hank, weren't real, maybe a close one but that was the limit, nopony would really join you in anything until the end...nopony.
" I better just buy some food and get to home..." Hank turned back just to check if Zeek or Rose were after him, but they weren't. Hank concluded that they simply gave up and left him alone. He wanted to be alone but there was always something inside of him that asked more, he just didn't knew what was it.
As he was looking at the tents, thinking about Talia's condicion, Hank noticed a tent with the sight " Everything at Anytime". The tent had a green, big earth pony as the merchant. Hank thought that it would be simple and walked straight to it.
" What you need ! At anytime ! Please, come everypony ! Come ! " Yelled the green merchant to the ponies around, but with no big lucky to attract anypony. Suddenly, he turned his sight at Hank, noticing him coming. " Yes ! Welcome to my store ! Where you can get everyt-
" I know, I know ! " Said Hank, trying not to sound very mean, but just wishing that he would just be quite or at least stop with that phrase.
" Ohhh, we got a tough one, I, Hammer, got what you need ! " Said Hammer as he lowered down and brought a small machine that seemed to be an exotic vase, with two holes, one big one and one small down." We got a very rare and exotic Arabian coffee maker and fries maker ! " Claimed as he grabbed a potato and placed the device's hole on it. With a quickly sound, he took it off and there was fresh fries on the potato's place. " See ?!"
Hank was not impressed but he thought that Hammer would soon stop if he just got "impressed". " Oh man, I never saw that being so easy !" Said Hank, making up a perfect impressed face.
" It will not break ! " Hammer taps it on the table and it breaks in two. " It will n...it broke." Hammer's face was pure frustration as he thrown it away. " Wait ! Just don't go! I will show you something so rare that your eyes will pop out of the face faster than the wind !"
Hank had started to ignore Hammer as he noticed a pure white earth-pony, with a black mane and tail, grabbing an apple from Hammer's deposit. The pony seemed a little too skinny for his very young age, he seemed very hungry. With a quickly turning he noticed Hank looking straight at him.
Hank could simply snitch the little boy...but " OH, I was just so curious about your wonderful stuff. Could you please go on ? Without taking the eyes away from me ? " Said Hank, with the intention of distract Hammer and help the boy escape with the apples.
The boy didn't got that at first but when Hank did a sight to him get out with his hove, he noticed that Hank was trying to help him. He waves thankfully at Hank and turns around to leave. But, right when he was about to get out of the tent, one of his apples fell off his back and made a noise as it stroke the floor.
" Still go....wait, what was that ? " Asked Hammer, despite of Hank's attempts of distracting him, he turned around and spotted the boy. " THIEF " Yelled him as he start to chase after the boy.
The boy was trying use the crowns of ponies as his advantage but he wasn't fast enough as Hammer grabs his tail. " Let me go, I promise that I won't do it again ! Don't hurt me !" He yelled as he got in a defensive position, dropping his fruits.
" You annoying pest. Nobody steals from me ! If you want, buy it !" Said Hammer, in an aggressive tone, even if he wasn't the violent type.
" Hurt him and you will regret !" Yelled Hank behind of Hammer, with his horn shinning green.
Hammer turned back in fear. " Alright, dear friend, lets not make this violent. I just wanted to talk with the boy. It isn't the first time he steals from me ! "
Hank started to think about what to do, as he turned his head away. Soon, he came to his conclusion. " Here, I'm paying the apples" Said Hank as he took some coins off his bag and placed on Hammer's hoove. " Now leave the boy, I will talk with him. "
" You are a good guy, friend, Im not the violent type, you know, " Said Hammer in a very honest tone. " Its that I'm pretty big and I scare ponies easily. But believe me, I wouldn't hurt a fly !" He started to walk back at his tent. " The name of the boy is Liko, he has no parents and lives by stealing. Try to put some senses into him, perhaps you are the one to do it.....OH ! And don't forget to come back ! " Concluded him as he came back to his work.
Hank collected all that information in his mind, as he felt in the need of help Liko, even if it was going what he wanted. He just felt..."connected" with him, he understood what was being "rejected". " Hey, Liko, are you ok ? " Asked Hank as he walked at the little pony on the ground. The pony kept looking down in silence. " No need to be afraid, I want to help you." Hank grabbed Liko's arm and helped him up.
Now that he was up-close, he could see that Liko had now a scratch on his left arm, maybe in result of the fall when Hammer yelled at him. Liko kept silence and looking down.
" Can I see it ? " Asked Hank gently as tried to grab Liko's arm. But Liko quickly pulled the arm away from Hank." Come on, Im trying to help here, Liko. Please..." He could tell that Liko had a classic case of being tricky to new ponies....didn't that sounded familiar to Hank ? With a sigh, and now talking really seriously, Hank started to talk again. " I know you are afraid. I can feel it. But running away won't help it. You got a trouble, everypony does. But trust me, I will help you. You remind me in my past. We share a lot like..." Hank turned around, looking down. " But if you don't wish my help. I won't make you, its unfair with you. But you must know that you are not alone, Liko, you got potential...just like I do..." Hank started to walk away from Liko.
" Wait !" Yelled Liko as he ran at Hank. "...Its really hurting..." Said Liko as he refereed to his arm. " Sorry for being mean..."
Hank stops for a second and smiles as reverse psychology always work. "humm..." He quickly turns around. " Alright, but behave yourself. Ok ?" As soon Liko nodded, Hank's horn shinned and his magic entered into Liko's scratch. In seconds, it was fully gone. " There we go. See ? It was that bad ?"
" No ! Wow, that was great !" Said Liko, very impressed by that. " Thank you....aww...."
" Hank. That is the name"
" Thank you, Hank. I... I'm sorry for being mean again." Said Liko, looking at Hank with his cute black iris eyes.
" Hey, that is fine. You should stop saying "sorry" too much. " Said Hank as he patted Liko's head. " Soo tell me, my little pony, where you live ? "
" Oh my Equestria...! " Said Hank, in shock of how awful Liko's place was.
His "place" was nothing more than just living under a bridge of wood, with a few scraps of food and a small makeshift bed.
" its not so bad as it seems, really. " Said Liko as he walks around his little home. " I have fresh air, when it rain I can have free water and I live by asking for money on roads and...stealing. " Liko had a little difficulty in admitting the " Steal" part, as he knew that Hank didn't approved.
" Its fine to admit, better than lying. Which for me, is one of the worst crimes. " Said Hank as he walked at Liko, looking around. " But this place isn't right for such special pony like you. With dirty, diseases and...ewww, rats."
" Me ? Special ? oh no no no no...." Said Liko as he waved his head left and right. " I'm not special, ponies around call me a rat-pony, dirty coward and a lot more..." He looked down in shame. " And I agreed with them sometimes. "
Hank could relate with that, not the thief part but at the part of being "not accepted" by the community. In his past, many of his experiences included rejection. "Hey ! Now you hear me out, my little pony ! " Said Hank, very seriously, as he grabbed Liko's face and turned it at front of his own face. " You are NOT a coward. You are brave, you just need to use that braveness to right things. Not steal ! Don't hear the others, because they judge too much for what we are ! We are DIFFERENT ! That doesn't give the right to be bulled and pushed around ! Now, I will change your life even if its the last thing I will do ! " Capiche" ?! "
" Cap...capi....Alright." Said Liko, a little scared but totally absorbed into Hank's words. " But what you going to do ?" Asked Liko as Hank dropped him.
Hank already knew what to do with Liko. He deserved a home, with a healthy setting. " Im going to put you int he orphanage..." Said Hank in a cold tone.
A silence took over as Liko's face turned to happiness to pure fear. " NO!! I DON'T WANT IT !" Yelled Liko as he started to walk back in fear.
" Huh ? Why you scared ? Orphanages aren't scary. They are places where special ponies, like yourself, can find a home ! Don't you want a home ?" Asked Hank, looking at Liko like he was staring at a puzzle.
" I...they, they scare me !" Yelled the little pony, shaking.
" Could you tell me why ? " Asked Hank as he wanted to hear one good reason.
"...This book. " Said Liko as he went to his bed and grabbed a book under the dirty pillow.
Hank stared at the cover of the book on Liko's arms. " Let me see it. " Said Hank as he gave his hoove to Liko put the book on.
" No...I...I..."
Hank's ears lowed down. " Don't you trust me ?...I want the better for you."
Liko said nothing, just placed the book on Hank's hoove as he looked away.
The cover of the book was almost like a horror one. It had a big green monster under a bed and it's furred hank coming out, to grab the innocent pony on the bed. The title was " The Orphanage Monster". Now it was answered why Liko was afraid.
" One stupid fantasy ? " Asked Hank, now very seriously.
" it is NOT fantasy ! Give me back ! " Liko tried to grab the book back as Hank lifted the book up to avoid him to reach. " Its mine !"
" Who gave you this trash ?! "
" Its NONE of your business !"
" Now it is ! Tell me !"
" NO ! She said that the monster will get me if I do tell !"
" Who ?!" Asked Hank, as now he could see that Liko's fears were born from an external influence.
" I...I..."
" ....There is nothing to be afraid...."
With a deep sigh, the little pony answered " Her name was Gilda...she was a griffin." He looked down as he kept going " I met her almost like I met you. She was kind to me, gave me food and showed me how to be "cool" and steal well..."
" Go on."
" One day, I heard her writing in a book, some sort of diary. When she was distracted. I took that book away and started to read. It was full of words filled with hate against her " best friend " Rainbow Dash.
That name echoed in Hank's mind as he knew her from somewhere. As far he remembered, her name was mentioned as to be " The winner that saved the Wonder Bolts with an epic Sonic-Rainbow". But he didn't cared that much, what he cared was about that Gilda. "What else ?" He asked.
" There was mentioning of other ponies, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Apple Jack, Rarity and Fluttershy. They all were responsible of Gilda losing her best friend and making her "not cool".
" From what I heard until now, she has a funny "definition" for what is "cool".
" All that happened in Ponyville, close of here. Suddenly, she saw me and yelled a lot with me....She said bad words and when I mentioned about going to an orphanage, she laughed and said that nopony would like to have a "waste" like me...Then, the next day, she was gone and she left me this book..." Now Liko was about to cry.
Hank had to admit, that was very sad, that Gilda was incredible abusive and manipulator. He stared at Liko as he really wanted to "meet" Gilda and give her a taste of her own "poison" .
" She never came back ? No clues to where she went ?"
Liko sniffed as he took a few tears away from his face. "No...I think that she already done what she had to..." Now Liko exploded into tears." She is right ! Nopony would like a horrible "waste" like me ! I'm ugly and bad ! I don't deserve a family !"
Hank said nothing, just ran at him and pressed Liko against himself in a hug. He could feel the tears on his skin as Liko cried more. He was waiting Liko get it all out.
" There there....Im here. I personally think you are incredible."
" Why ?! How I know you are not like her ?!"
" Because I'm here to change your life...! And it will be right now !" Said Hank, looking at Liko's eyes. " Trust me..."
" H...how ?! " Asked the little pony, getting a little better but still in tears.
Hank separated himself from Liko and grabbed the book. " First we must destroy your fears. " He placed the book on the ground, went to his bags and grabbed a laser device from it. " Here..." Hank turned at Liko and offered him the pistol-shaped device. The "pistol" was blue and had 3 little bulbs on it's both sides.
" What is that...?" Asked Liko, curious and almost stopping crying.
" The instrument of your freedom from the monster ! You must destroy the book, the source of your fear !"
" But he will come to get me ! " Said Liko, almost consumed by fear again.
Hank quickly taped Liko's back. " Want to have a family ? School? Friends ? "
Liko remained in silence, and in a surprise of moment, he had fully stopped crying. Now he had a straight and determinable face. " Yes...give it to me".
Hank smiled at the little pony grabbed the device from his hoove and aimed at the book. Keeping his eyes on it, Liko was just aiming, not pressing the trigger or anything.
" Come on, I know you can do it ! I believe in you !" Yelled Hank at Liko.
" Take that !! " Yelled Liko as he blasted the book several times with fast and deadly aim. " I'm NOT afraid of you !"
The book was now in fire, with all it's pages turning into ashes and marking Liko's victory over his fears.
" Gilda ! You don't scare me anymore ! I will be happy ! I will have a family ! I will have friends ! I'M FREE FROM YOU !" Yelled Liko at the sky, almost expecting Gilda to hear it somehow.
Hank rose Liko up with his magic. " You did it ! " Yelled Hank as he throws Liko up and down, laughing with him.
" You ready ?" Asked Hank as he looked at the brand new Liko.
Liko was now clean up, with an excellent smell and with a brave face.
" Yes. I know what I will do now. I will make friends and find my cutie-mark !"
" That is the spirit, my little pony ! " Said Hank in a very proud voice.
Liko looked at Hank for a brief second and hugged him very hard " Thank you, Hank....".
Hank hugged back, as he felt love in that hug. " No need to thank me. Look, anything bad that happens,you send me a letter or go see me. Ok ? " Said him as he stroke Liko's head gently.
" Thanks...for everything. And you will hear from me, don't you worry....See you in town ? " Asked Liko, as he now started to see Hank as an example, an idol.
" Hehehe, yeah, see you. Now go, rock their world ! hehehee !" Said Hank as he pointed to the orphanage.
Liko quickly ran away as he couldn't believe how a unicorn that he just met had became almost a brotherly figure to him. That was the magic of friendship to him. With a quickly knock, he met the owner of the orphanage, Miss Sunlight, and began his new life...with a lot more to come to him and to experience on.
" When I get my cutie mark ?" asked him to one of the in-mates, Talia.
"When you know what you will be when you grow up...."
" Oh man...how I'm tired. " Said Hank to himself as he was walking in the empty roads in the night full of stars. " I hope Liko will be fine...Nah, I'm sure that he will beat this world, don't making the same mistakes as me..." Hank looked slightly down as he remembered his many mistakes of the past. Mistakes that maybe had costed lives. That was the reason he was in Green Way, to forget...something that he wasn't doing well at it.
Being with Liko really helped him have a satisfied feeling in his body, that warm feeling of pleasure when you know you done the right thing.
The streets were oddly empty, with no other pony on sight beyond himself. " Where is everpony ? " Asked Hank to himself. It was like he was in a ghost town now, the houses seemed desert as the streets. That was really odd. Hank could feel that nopony was around, but his real question was to where they were.
Suddenly, he started to feel followed. With a quickly turn, he see nothing beyond the dark streets. " Hello ?! Who is there ?!" asked Hank, now in an angry tone. As expected, no answer. " If this is a prank...!" But Hank felt that it wasn't a prank, at least not the stalker. He was the kind of being followed and it was never a joke. " Leave me alone ! " Yelled Hank as he started to run away towards his house and feeling the stalker flying over him with a annoying wing noise.
Then, Hank noticed his house at the end of the road, in the middle of a big circle area with many other houses in random places in the circle. His house was big, three floors, red paint, six windows and with a white door. It said that it was used to hold as a warehouse for deposit but it was abandoned after one of the workers said that the place was haunted. That didn't scared Hank, the place was cheap and it was a gold opportunity that he couldn't let it go.
" Almost there...almost there !! " Yelled Hank as he felt him and the stalker getting close to their goals. The wind sounds were getting louder and louder as it was almost driving him nuts. " Leave me alone ! I don't want to come back !" Yelled Hank angrily as he stroke himself against the door and he fell down on the ground. He was safe.
" Home sweet ho-" Hank was getting up when he was cut off by the lights going on and a flash hitting his face...blinding him as he fell on the ground again.

Hank's vision was all blurred, all he saw a light and several shadows towering over him. This is it, he had been caught by them. This new start had already been finished for good.
" Look what you did, you almost blinded the poor guy !" Said a familiar voice.
" Hey, it wasn't me who turned on the light so fast that he almost had a seizure!" Said a strong but familiar voice.
" Can you boys give some space to him ? He is coming to his senses" Said a female familiar voice as a shadow got closer to his face. " Hank, are you ok ? Can you hear me ? "
Hank simply didn't knew what was going on. " Leave me...alone" Said him in a weak tune. " I won't...come back."
" What is he talking about ?" Asked an unfamiliar voice.
" No idea. Hey ! Maybe that baton thing that he used on me will work on him !" Said one of the shadows. " I will just grab his bags an-"
At the exact moment that Zeek grabbed Hank's bags. the unicorn came to his senses and quickly grabbed Zeek's hove. " Nopony...touch...my...STUFF !" Said him in a very angry and threatening tone, with a very wild face.
" Arh ! Hank ! You are ok ! Look, It wasn't me. I just turned on the lights. It was to Hammer take the picture AFTER I turned the lights !" Explained Zeek, almost like ignoring Hank's threat.
Hank's vision was clear now, beyond Zeek, he turned his head and saw a enormous group of ponies in his house. Some on the floor, some pegasus flying, some on the stairs. It was like the whole city was there. " Wh...wh...what is this ?!" Asked Hank, shocked to see so much ponies in one place, his OWN house !
" Its your Welcome Party, Hank, we invited the whole town," Said Rose, walking closer to him. " Sorry for the scare but you are ok, right ? " She had her same friendly smile but with a touch of worry.
Hank's eyes turned to Zeek, who was still trying to get his hove free. " Sorry..." Hank opened his hove and allowed Zeek go. " I just don't like ponies to get my stuff with my authorization." Said him in a restrict face, as he remembered his escape. " I just thought...." Said Hank as he turned to the door. There was nothing outside...was it all that feeling of being chased not real ? Hank remained in silence, confusing everypony.
" Hank ? You're alright ?" Asked Zeek, with a worry voice and face. " You just thought what ?" Even with that, Hank stood staring to the emptiness of outside, almost expecting something to pop in from the door. " Haaaaank ?".
" Hank! " Said Rose as she poked his head, trying to get attention. "There is something wrong ?" Everypony was staring silently at Hank.
In a quickly snap, Hank came back to reality as he shaken his head left and right. " OH ! ...aww...it was nothing," Said Hank as he turned to Rose, Zeek and the rest of the crown. " I just thought I saw something outside, just...that." Concluded him as he closed the door slowly with his magic.
Hank just hated the fact that Zeek and Rose made this party, he hated even more that the whole city was there, he hated even more the fact that they did that to make "friends". In fact, there wasn't one thing that Hank enjoyed in that all. But what could he do beyond just lock himself in his room, ignore the sounds and made up that they didn't existed ? The only good thing of being locked away, was that he had time to set his room up.
" Hummmm" Hank looked at the room, it was big, had woody walls, a bed and a window at the end of the room. " I liked the space, gives me freedom to make my mini-lab here " Said Hank with the intention of build a mini-lab in his room and the main lab would be downstairs, in other room. " Just need to a little help from science" Said Hank, with a grin on his face as he took a few tools, a few of laser, out of his bag.
" Hey, Hank ! " Called Zeek, knocking at his door. " You gonna miss the party. Everypone wants to meet you! Hank ?" Zeek started to knock in a musical way. " Hank, Hank, Haaaank ! Hank, ank, ank, aaaank ! Hahahhah ! Wasn't that funny ?" Asked Zeek at the door, expecting answers.
" Go away, I'm busy !" Yelled Hank at the door, while working hard on changing his room to a high-tech one.
" Come on, Hank ! Rose said that she wanted to dance with ya ! She finds you cute."
" That is a lie and I can tell ! " Said Hank angry now. How insulting would Zeek get ? He could tell if a person was lying or not, it was....one of his abilities.
" Alright, I guess I mistaken the "cute" with "interesting" but still, its good ! You shouldn't waste this chance of making friends! " Exclaimed Zeek to the door, getting worried by Hank's sake.
Now Hank was done with all that bullshit, taking his protection helmet off, he turns to the door and yells.
" ALL PONIES HERE ARE CRAZY !! YOU ARE CRAZY, ROSE IS CRAZY ! NOTHING ON THIS CITY MAKES SENSE ! I FEEL ALL MY KNOWLEDGE BEING SUCKED AWAY WITH YOUR PRESENCE ! I CAME HERE FOR PEACE ! AND THAT IS THE LAST THING I'M GETTING HERE ! WHY DON'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE ?!" Hank had to stop for lack of air.
There was no dialogue after that, Hank was expecting Zeek to reply with some silly answer but nothing came. The only thing making noise was the heavy party outside his room but no dialogue back.
" Zeek ?..." Asked Hank, feeling that he shouldn't had done that. " You ok ? Look, I'm just stressed...So much happened to me and..." Confessed Hank, feeling better in taking that all out. " And...I think I'm in danger. I think you all are in danger. " Now Hank was looking seriously at the door, expecting Zeek to reply. " I'm running away from...bad things. Things that will put this city in grave danger...I feel guilty but what I can do ? I'm more than you think I'm !" Declared Hank. " I'm......look, I'm sorry that I was mean to you since I got here. All I want is to stay in peace, I find that in being alone, like a bee away from the hive..." Hank sighed. " Do you understand now, Zeek ?......Look ! I know It was bad but ignoring me like that is just childish !....ZEEK !? " Hank opened the door with an angry face. " ARE YOU HEARING ME, IDIOT ?!" Yelled Hank to the air as there was no Zeek. Hank's face turns from angry to timid as everpony looked at him. " Awww..."
" Hehehe, there's the high roller !" Said one blue earth-pony in the crown as the others started talk as well. Mentioning good things about Hank and all.
" Look, I'm sorry, I ju-" Hank was soon cut by Rose, going out of the crowd, in Hank's direction. Only now he noticed that she was wearing her loyal rings and crown. " Huh ?"
Her smile was sweet as she turned to everpony. " Today, we celebrate in the name of our new resident ! His name is Hank ! " Everypony cheered as she continued. " And he is special, because this one is a genius ! " Hank's cheek got red after hearing that, he never...saw somepony doing that to him. " He have all the mechanic and science knowledge that anypony could possible wish "
" Hehehe, look, you are making me stay out of words. " Said Hank, looking away, in shyness.
" I said that he was shy !" declared Zeek somewhere in the crowd.
" Yeah but that is the mark of a great mind, and we shall expect a lot from him. Isn't that true, Hank ? " Asked her, turning her sweet blue eyes to Hank.
" Aww...." Hank was looking now at everypony....all those faces, so happy, so delicious..." Ye...yes..." Nodded Hank " You all shall expect great things from...me and my coming. An...aww...party ?" When he finished his sentence, all the ponies went nuts and started partying again. Hank turned his face away in result of that. " Ignorant creatures..." Said Hank in a very low voice.
" What you said ?" Asked Rose, at his side, with a confused face.
" Huh ? oh ! Nothing...I mean, "great creatures". That is what I said. " Explained Hank with a fake smile.
" Oh, right...I thought that you called us"ignorant creatures", but of course, that would been very odd from you." Somehow, Hank could tell that she knew what he said and was just "hiding" the fact for some reason. He had forgot that she was from loyalty and their were pretty powerful, even in hearing.
" I guess I will come back at my room now..." Said Hank as he turned to his room and gave a few steps to it's direction.
" Wait ! " Said Rose, now with a worried face. " Look...I can sense your feelings, they are not good. I can help by cleaning your mind- " She was going to put her hoof at his shoulder but he quickly pushed it away.
" Don't touch me ! I don't need your help ! " Said him in his offensive tone. Turning to her. " I never needed ! Now I would be very happy if you just turn around and leave !".
Rose's face was now sad, her blue eyes seemed to stare the ground. " Alright then...just wanted to help you, Hank..." Said her as she turned around. " see you..." Concluded her as she left him into the crowd.
Hank just cursed himself as saw how horrible he was with her. " Stupid, stupid !" Said him to himself as he closed the door. " I wasn't made to be enjoyed ! I'm a hated being ! I will always be ! " Yelled Hank to himself as he came back to work, with a tear failing from his eye.
A few hours later, Hank noticed that all the noises stopped and he heard the front door closing. He started to wonder if everypony was gone. " That early ?" Asked Hank to himself as he looked at the digital clock at his wall. "Oh man, 2:02 AM, time flied when you work for science". It was late, but Hank didn't felt tired. In fact, he was very satisfied. But still, he wanted to see it how the house was. Curious about that, he slowly opened his door. " Huh ? "
The house was now empty, the place was clean and all the mobile were at the place. Hank was expecting the house to be a mess but the ponies actually "fixed" everything before leaving...that actually meant something for Hank.
" At least they are not party monsters, not the irresponsible kind. " Said Hank as now he could finally walk freely in his new house. Yes, its been a long trip full of weirdness but finally, it was over. " Home, sweet, home ! Just me..." Hank tapped the wood wall with a satisfied smile. " And you..."
After walking around his house, Hank decided to start to build his main lab at the reading room. The reading room was a big rectangular room with a long table at the long wall. There was a couch at side of the entrance, good for relaxing, and a small table at side of it. " A spot for reading, perhaps ? " Asked Hank to himself as he could see him sitting there, reading a book, smoking his pipe with a hot delicious chocolate on his hoof.. At both small sides of the rectangular, there was a window and at the other, a fireplace. His house was pretty beautiful, and Hank knew that with a smile on his face.
" Humm, let's start by placing the module here, " Said Hank as he placed a small gray metal device on the long table." And the chemical fusion can stay th-" before he could kept talking, he felt watched. Like someone was behind him. Hank's mind began to fill with possibilities, one of the party ponies ? Maybe, but odd in the fact of no warning. His stalker ? Highly probably, since now he was alone and the city was asleep.
Hank couldn't see it, but he knew that, whoever was, it was coming. He had to act, now ! " Stay...away...from ME !! " Yelled Hank as he turned around with his dart gun and shoot at the neck of the creature. The darts held a dangerous poison, that would paralyze any creature in it's reach, another of Hank's "toys".
" ARGH ! What the...?! What was that for ?! " It wasn't the stalker, it wasn't a pony...it was a dragon. Not a baby one, but not an adult one. It was a teenage dragon as his size was a little taller than Hank's. His scales were slightly dark blue with yellow line on his back and tail. He seemed very pissed off, by the simple fact that Hank just shot him with a dart. " Man, how it hurts !" Yelled him as he took it off.
Hank didn 't knew if that dragon was a threat, hell, why would a dragon be at his house ? It should be gone with the crowd ! That smelled very bad to Hank. " Shhh...relax and enjoy the trip that the poison of frogs can produce in your nervous system !" Said Hank as the dragon fell down, completely out. Hank sighed as he knew that an interrogation was at hand. " Great, where will I do the interrogation !?" Asked Hank as he suddenly glared at the couch. " Idea...!".
" Argh....my head..." Asked the dragon as he was slowly coming to his senses. " Whe....huh ?" He noticed that his legs, arms and wings were tied up to the couch in some sort of laser chains. No matter how hard he pushed, it didn't broke. After ten tries, he finally gave up.
" I see that you are awaken, Mister Oversized Lizard !" Asked Hank as he came into the dragon's sight, holding a small brick-sized black device, with a small antenna at the end of it.
" HEY ! WHY YOU KNOCKED ME OUT WITH A DART ?!...I do admit that the dream that I just had with that poison on was good but...really, waking up chained is not the best way to come back to reality ! "Yelled the dragon as he tried to break the chains again.
" Hummm, because I think that you might be a spy." Hank walked at him, and got inches from his scaled face. " Are you a SPY ?!"
" Aww...no, I'm not spy, My name is Scaler ! " Said Scaler in a serious and sarcastic tone.
" One way to prove it ! " Said Hank as he placed the device at Scaler's neck. " Tell me facts !" Ordered Hank in a angrily but over-the-top way.
" My name is Scaler." The device's screen shinned green as it was a lie detector.
" Be more original !"
" Alright ! Ok....I was born in the Everfree florest...in a rainy night of winter. " Scaler sighed sadly as he kept going. "Never met my parents. A couple of ponies adopted me, I grown up at the city. Now I live by my own, but I still visit my parents. I work here as a librarian an-"
" Stop stop stop !" Said Hank, confused as hell. " What you said ? You work here ? " Hank asked while looking at the screen, showing a green sight. " That is not possible !" He was now shocked.
" I work here as a librarian at the books section that you didn't checked, you should do it. I'm too gentle for a dragon but I don't get abused for pure mix of fear and respect from the ones close of me." Scaler's face turned to a smile, a grin. " The real invader is you. You probably had read some old sight at some old announcement and been fooled. So, unless you want to hurt your in-mate, I suggest you to free me so we can know each another better ! " Scaler finished with a victorious smile.
Hank couldn't believe, was he really fooled ?! " That is not true ! That is n-" the screen turns green, ending any last stand. " true....I WAS FOOLED ! " Yelled Hank as he made a very angry face. Almost jumping in the air in rage. It was so good to be truth ! " WHY THEY MADE THIS PARTY THEN ?! WHY NOPONY TOLD ME !?"
" Because they thought you knew it ! And the party was because of your coming. Look, I knew you were coming, well, sort of. I was introduced to you at the party, pretty unsocial unicorn aren't ya ? " Said Scaler with a disapprove face. " And I come to see hello and you knock me off ! " Scaler didn't knew, but Hank was destroyed inside.
"....But..." Hank started to think to where he could go now. Live at the streets ? What would happen to Liko without him ? It was fair but...not fair at the same time. Hank knew what needed to be done. " Sorry..." Said Hank as he went to the table and grabbed a laser pistol.
" Hey ! HEY ! NO !" Scaler tried to get off in panic as Hank aimed at him. " NO!!!!" Yelled Scaler, closing his eyes and getting ready as the energy blast flew out of the gun.
With the same laser sound repeated 5 times, Scaler felt his limbs free again. He moved his arm as he slowly opened his eyes. His heart was beating very fast as he realized what Hank had done. " Wh...why ?"
" Because you won, I'm the invader...I will get my things and leave. Sorry for the disturbance. " Said Hank, looking down and trying to hide his heavy sadness. " Sorry again. " Hank started to walk to the stairs when Scaler landed at his front.
" Wait wait wait wait ! " Said Scaler while looking at Hank's face. " Who said that we can't...you know...share the house ? Its big, we can stay peacefully. " Scaler wasn't going to allow Hank to leave to the "cruel" world outside. It was not his nature to just ignore.
Hank thought in the proposal,it was surely good. The house would still be his, he would just need to handle Scaler, which shouldn't be really hard, at least for him. But he started to think in the bad side, even if there was almost no bad side.
" I...I don't know."
" Come on, man ! I always wanted a company here. You know, a lot of ponies come but they always leave. We could share ideas and more ! We could be friends !"
That word flew around Hank's mind like a bird he was trying to catch. Everywhere he went, somepony or dragon wanted to be his friend. With the exception of Liko, he wasn't really interested in anypony ! " Look, I..." Hank kept silence, still in doubt.
Scaler giggled. " I will see that as a yes. Well..." He yawned, showing all his sharp teeth. " I will go to bed, it was one hell of a hard-core party...Sleep well, partner !" Said Scaler as he went upstairs..
Now there was no turning back, it was "yes" and Hank would have to deal with it. He tried to take the bad possibilities away as he turned to Scaler. " Scaler !"
Scaler turned at Hank, looking downstairs with his smile. " Yes, Hank ?"
"......Thank you. " Said Hank in a legit meaning of that phrase. He was glad to finally founded a home, even with an evolved lizard in it.
" Nah, don't thank me. Welcome to the neighbor !" Said Scaler in an calm tone. " Well, good night Hank.I hope we can share a lot tomorrow. "
The word "tomorrow" echoed in his ears as he thought in the future. " Alright, be ok..." Hank started to go upstairs as Scaler entered in his room in the same corridor. " Tomorrow..." Would he be ok ? " Tomorrow" Hank wanted peace, Green Way didn't really gave that to him but he still had hope that it would come. " Tomorrow. " Said Hank one more time as he entered in his room, closed the door. He looked at Cassandra, still on his arm.
" Cassandra ?"
"Yes, master ?"
"....Good night."
" Good night, master, want me to read you a bedtime story ? "
" Nah..." Said Hank as he covered himself with the blanket on the bed. " That is all."
" Yes, Master." Said her one last time before shutting off for the night.
As he turned off the lights, he started to wonder how things went since that day started...met new ponies, helped a pony to have a place to stay, survived at parties, kept his secrets down and was still alive. One moment still bothered Hank, it was the chase part, now without the party and all and with the moonlight illuminating his bed in the darkness, he could think it better about it. Was it all a dream ? Or...they were there ? Somehow, Hank knew that in the next days, he would have the answer. It was the start a new phase in his life, he just wished that it didn't ended bad.
Hank stared at the dark sky, full of stars, as the moon had a reflex in his eye. " I know you there..." Said Hank as he slowly closed his eyes and made himself go to sleep.

" We will never stop..." Echoed a tricky voice outside the window as two big eyes shinned in the dark of the night. "Hahahahahaha..."

One week after the first episode...
With a big and load yawn, Scaler the teenager dragon, was awake. Feeling comfortable in his bed, he thought seriously to don't leave the bed.
" Ar...Got to open the library..." Said him lowly to himself as he slowly got up and took the blanket off him. His room was the same size as Hank's but just without any modification, unlike Hank's that seems to be a completely different room. With all the high technology and all...Scaler really didn't got that much from him.
Hank was decent as in-mate, but very quiet. Almost all the time, he was locked in his room, building "stuff" that he said that Scaler would never understand for being a "over-sized lizard". That name really didn't bothered Scaler anymore, since he thought about it and concluded. " I AM an over sized lizard...".
As he went to the bathroom to get clean up, he wondered why Hank loved sugary foods so much. Not that he ate all the time, in fact, he barely saw Hank eating anything, which was very weird. But when he saw him eat, it was always something sugary. Cupcakes, pies, ice creams, donuts, even sugar itself. When he asked why Hank loved that stuff so much, he simply answered " I just like it. Something wrong with it...? There is something in sugar that satisfy my needs....very...aww..."special" needs...Now could you stop asking so I can eat my damn cupcake ?". It was normal a pony enjoy sugar, hell, even him liked sugar but Hank had simply a fascination for it.
Other thing he started to wonder, as he started to read his list of duties, was why Hank had an imaginary girlfriend called "Cassandra". He always seems to demand something from her, thought, it was very cold. " Cassandra, show me tactics of how to avoid enemies.", " Cassandra, show me the maps.", " Cassandra, tell me a joke, a GOOD one this time !", " Oh Equestria...I need a cupcake now ! Cassandra ! Tell me how to make cupcakes ! " and a ton of others like that. Hank also seemed to feel followed, always looking back, always keeping his watch on windows and doors. When he asked Hank why, he simply said. " Because you never know when it will strike...what will be....when will be...you never know."
As Scaler opened his door, scratching his back as he yawned again, he wondered why Hank was so mysterious and confusing to understand. He had many theories but his mind soon came back to reality as he stopped at the kitchen, looking at Hank on the table, eating donuts. " Morning...".
Taking a bite from his donuts, he turned his eyes to Scaler, keeping a normal face. Oddly enough, in the first days, Hank never seemed tired, but yesterday, by the morning, he could barely move. When Scaler tried to help, Hank pushed him away from him, yelling. " DON'T TOUCH ME, YOU DIRTY LIZARD ! THIS IS MY TROUBLE AND I WILL FIX IT !". Hank didn't came out that day, but this day was different. He was perfectly fine, the only different thing was a strange necklace on his neck. A very simple one, a blue band holding an octagonal golden object. " Morning." Answered him before Scaler could ask anything about the necklace.
Scaler stared at the necklace as he went to the chair to sit down. " Good necklace. Where you bought ? " Asked Scaler, not really trying to fool Hank but to at least get a clue from him. Not that he suspected his friend but...he just wanted to know more about him and, maybe, even help him.
" I made it last night...sorry for all that "scene". it wasn't me. " Said Hank as he took a bite on his donuts, taking his attention away from Scaler.
" That is fine, bro !" Said Scaler with a friendly smile. "What you exactly had last night then ?" Asked him.
Hank ate the last piece of the donuts and looked at him as he was grabbing his coffee. " Allergic Reaction" Said him calmly as he started to put sugar in his mug.
" Oh ok....ok....I mean, our doctor, Miss Heal-Well, taught me a lot of things about allergic reactions. " Said him as he was making a sandwich with hot chocolate. " Good to see you're fine..." concluded Scaler as he took a bite in his sandwich.
Hank glared at him, as if trying to read his thoughts. Scaler really wondered why he was doing that. Hank stayed like that for a whole minute until his face turned normal again as he started to drink his coffee. " Right....thanks." When he was done, he placed the mug on the table and looked at him. " What you going to do today ?" Asked Hank, " Stay here again receiving ponies with books ? ". Said Hank in a somehow odd way, as he disliked too much company.
" No, I mean, not because you scared a few off by turning one of the reading rooms in a high-tech lab bu-" Scaler was quickly cut by Hank.
" Foals liked it !" Justified him, lifting his hoof at his face level.
" Yeah but most of the costumers didn't..." Scaler sighed as he remembered all that confusion. Including lasers and very complicated explanations of "How a cupcake poorly made can choke you to death ! ". " Well, but today will be different !" Said Scaler as he his voice took a more positive tone. " We gonna deliver books ! "
Hank's eyes took a confused tone. " What you mean ?"
" Hum...how do I explain ? Ponies come to me and they reserve one determined book that they won't be able to read it here. They can do this also by sending me a letter. " Explained Scaler as he was almost done with his sandwich. " So I deliver the books to them. " Finished Scaler as he took the final bite. " Simple, no ? " Asked him as he looked at Hank with a satisfied look.
" Yeah...pretty simple." Said Hank as he went to get another mug of coffee with sugar. " And why you said " we " ? "Asked him, now glaring at Scaler.
" Well, now we are partners. We could help each another out. You help me and I help you. "
" Ok...one, I'm not your partner and two, in what you could possible help me ? " Asked Hank in a daring way.
Scaler really started to wonder in what he could be helpful. Even when he tried very hard to find a gap in Hank's work that he could fill, he wasn't that lucky. After giving up, he looked at Hank with sad eyes, feeling useless to him. " I don't know...You need help in something ? I will help in anything !" Somehow, Scaler knew that he would regret saying that as a big grin filled Hank's face.
" Anything ?"
" Aww....Yeah. Anything. " Said Scaler, feeling that he made a mistake.
" Well, deal with little animals and bugs as my guinea pigs in my genetic modification is good. But there is always a moment when you require...-" Hank took a drink in his mug. " something bigger...".
Scaler had no idea what he meant with that. " Genetic what ? How that includes me ? "
" Simple, I help you in your job and you become my guinea pig by your own will."
" Wait ! That is gonna hurt ?!" Asked Scaler, very serious and a little scared now.
" Come on, these days of mine are over. " Said Hank as he drunk from the mug. " This "modifications" are simple...Its to make things better to the subject. For example. " Hank's eyes stared at his wings. " Your wings."
" What about them ? "
" Would like them to be bigger ? " Asked Hank as he went to them and poked.
" They will get bigger with time..." Said Scaler in defense of his wings. His wings were the normal size for his age, but he always felt small compared to adult dragons.
Hank nodded in a sarcastic way. " Yes, yes, sure, sure. Anything you say. " Hank walked to the sink as he cleaned his empty mug. " What I'm saying is that I make "modifications" for good causes. Imagine...aww..." Hank stared at a picture of a bunny on the wall with a smiling yellow pegasus. " Imagine...poor mister bunny" Said Hank as he approached the picture." He is sick but there is no cure..." Hank passed the hoof on the pegasus's image. " Imagine the owner, what a tragic situation...".
That talk was really creeping Scaler out as his iris shrunk down a little.
" When suddenly ! Me, Hank ! Came for the rescue ! " Said Hank as he turned around to Scaler in proud position." Then I, after a very complicated process that your sub-evolved brain won't understand....the bunny is now cured and now immune to any similar diseases. " Hank went to the table and rose his hoof. " THIS...!" yelled Hank as he punched the table, making everything on it shake. " Is progress...Progress is the real meaning of my work ! To UNDERSTAND...To PRODUCE...To make it....Perfect." Finished Hank, staring Scaler, who was almost hiding under the table. " Do you understand now ? "
Scaler just wanted Hank to stop that "evil scientist" talk " Yes ! Yes ! Progress and produce...! Just don't hurt me in one of those tests ! "
Hank grabbed a plate with his magic. " Good...there is no problem then ? " Asked Hank as he was cleaning the plate in the sink.
" N...no..." Said Scaler, getting off under the table.
Unknown to Scaler, Hank had a big grin in his face, with the sunlight from the window against it.
" This is boring...!" Said Hank as they both walked on the streets with two bags full of books, one for each. Hank had an annoyed face as he felt used.
" No, this is sharing. " Replied Scaler, waving to a random pony that was waving to him. "Hi ! "
Hank sighed. " ...Hi...."
" Can you at least do better ?" Asked Scaler as they both came back to walk.
" No, this waving thing sounds dumb. " Said Hank coldly.
" No, they're not ! You see, everything you do, counts in a friendship." Said Scaler with a smile.
" Friendship is stupid..."
" Come on, Hank..."
" No, and I would enjoy if you just stopped talking about that ! " Said Hank in his classic offensive way.
Scaler didn't replied, only sighed as he saw the first address. " Maredona street, house 225." Said him as they both stopped a few foots away from the door of the beautiful house.
" Let me handle this, ok ? " Said Scaler to Hank, serious. He didn't wanted Hank to ruin that.
" Fine, I will just stay here talking to Cassandra. " Said Hank in a cold tone.
" Aww....hi Cassandra. " Said Scaler to the air. " Give Hank company, ok ?.........................Alright, thanks !" Scaler went to the door as Hank wondered what the hell was that about.
" Cassandra...?" Said Hank to the device on his hoof.
" Yes, Master ?"
" Look for the definition of...."friendship". " Asked Hank.
" ...."Friendship", event that is defined when two or more friends share affection for each another."
Hank wondered what was the meaning of that. " What is..."magic" ? I always wanted to hear what was that. "
" ...."Magic"....Sorry, Master, I find almost not complete definition of that word. "
" Huh ? What you mean ? I DEMAND you tell me ! "
" Sorry, Master....The closest thing I founded to a definition is "Special ability that many beings can execute, especially unicorns. Related to many other factors in the creature itself." This is all." Finished the voice.

" Cassandra, she is sure pretty, but oh, don't let me keep you. Keep talking with her. " Said him in an understandable smile.
Hank had finally figured out what the heck Scaler was talking about. Making a very angry face, he yells. " THAT IS MY PORTABLE PULSE COMPUTER ! NOT MY IMAGINARY FRIEND ! "
Scaler make a huge surprise face. " OOOOOOHHH !!....." He saw that he screwed up. "...Sorry...." Said him, looking down.
" Next time, call yourself "crazy" !" Said Hank, still pissed.
" Sorry ! How was I suppose to know that was this mambo-jumbo thing ?!" Yelled Scaler in his defense.
" My creations AREN'T "mambo-jumbo thing" !" Yelled him back.
" Whatever ! they are still confusing ! " Yelled Scaler, almost out of himself.
" That is the reason I don't share them ! Your kind is so ungodly stupid !!"
"....Take it back ! " Yelled Scaler, grabbing Hank's neck hard and making his claws get sharp. " TAKE IT BACK !"
" ARgh, no !" Said Hank, trying to get free but Scaler's grip was too strong.
" YOU ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO DEAL WITH IT ! "
" Cassandra ! Defense mode ! "
The device went mad, letting emergency sounds out. " ATTENTION, REPTILE. RELEASE MY MASTER OR YOU FEEL 1000 VOLTS IN YOUR BODY !" The voice was now very aggressive as the screen was red with a white skull on it.
".....Fine" Scaler released Hank as he look down. He was shocked that he almost wounded Hank. " That is what I'm, one big stupid lizard....!" Said him almost in tears.
Hank rubbed his freed neck as he noticed that. He saw how both had gone too far in that, nopony had won, there was only loss. " Scaler..."
"....What ?"
" .....I'm sorry...."
" What you said ? " Said him, looking at Hank.
" I'm sorry, alright ?" Hank tried to stay calm and put.
Scaler denied with his head. " No, Its me who are very hot head...and stupid. "
" Look, you aren't stupid." Said Hank as he started to pat Scaler's wings. " A little hot head and distracted...but its nothing that its impossible to fix. "
Scaler smiled as Hank smiled back. " Friends ?" Said Scaler as he gave his hand to Hank to shake.
Hank hesitated for one second as he thought of so many things. But soon, he came to the conclusion that if he will want to know the meaning of "magic" he would require: " Friends..." concluded Hank as they shaken hoof and hand.
" This is the last house...!" Said Scaler in a victorious and happy tone. They delivered a lot of books, around 30 by Hank's calculations, and gained a little money each delivery, but putting all together, they had a lot of money.
" About time, its almost night ! " Said Hank as he stared the dark bluish sky. He knew that it was there, the one that followed him. He felt it. " .....I know you there..." Said him lowly, almost to himself.
" What you said ?"
" Oh, nothing, nothing." Guaranteed Hank as his attention came back to Scaler. " So what about this house?"
They were both meters away from a familiar house.
" The orphanage !" Yelled Hank in surprise. He would see Liko, finally.
" You been there before ? "
" Aww...sort of, its a long story." Said Hank, trying to hide that whole story of Talia, Liko, Gilda and stuff. " Who is the one we are going to deliver the book..." Hank looked at the cover of it. " The book " Daring Do and the forgotten relics" ! " Said Hank as he stared at the cover of Daring Do flying after a relic in the air.
" .......Her " Pointed Scaler to the board around the house. There was a white pegasus with purple mane and tail, her cutie mark was a star in a triangle. She was reading " She is a teacher of the young ones..." Sighed Scaler in a very deep and expressive way as his eyes shinned with the sunset.
" Right, should we go to her ? Can't we get in the orphanage first...?" Asked Hank but the answer didn't came. " Scaler?"
".........." Scaler was simply out of himself as he stared the pegasus.
" Scaler ! Wake up !" Almost yelled Hank as he whipped Scaler's butt with his magic.
" OUCH ! What was that for ?!" Scaler didn't stopped rubbing his butt.
" You were staring that pegasus all the time. I just brought you back. What happened ? "
Scaler made a worried face as he realized that Hank said the truth. " Aww...nothing. Let's ju-"
" You love her..." Said Hank in a discovery tone. " You love her ! "
Scaler simply was stunned, how he knew ? " Please, Hank, I beg of you. Don't tell !! " Said Scaler, almost begging.
" There there..." Hank pats his head in a comfortable way." I just...know things about love. I know when its close. Hehehhe. But don't worry, your secret is safe with me. "
" You promise ? " Asked him, almost tearing up.
" Yes, I promise !"
" Pinkie-promise ! "
" Huh ? Pinkie what ?" Asked Hank in a confused way.
" Its a promise that you cannot break...CANNOT ! " Said Scaler, getting up.
" FOREVER !!!!!!! " Yelled a goofy female voice very far away.
" What the ....?" Hank looked at the source of the yell but he accepted that it was way too far, probably from Ponyville. "...Alright. I will do it. " Said Hank.
" Alright, say this with a hoof on your chest." Said Scaler cleaning his throat. " Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye."
Hank sighed at the lines, they were so different from the original version. But he had no choice, with the hoof on his chest, he said "Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." The seal was done. " Speaking in cupcakes, can I have one later ? "
" Of course...! Her name is Dawn....isn't that the most beautiful name you ever heard...?" Said Scaler with a smile now. " So...aww...you can check inside and stuff. I will take this one." Said him in a very shy way.
" Hehehehe, alright, you big lizard. " Said Hank with a giggle. " Go get her. " Hank gave the book to him and left inside.
" Bye ! " Said Scaler as he sighed deeply. " Alright, Scaler, this is it. For ONCE, don't be weird and be romantic..."
" HANK !!" Yelled Liko as he ran to him for hug.
" Liko ! Look how you grown up ! " Giggled Hank as now Liko looked different. He seemed fed and properly taken care. Hank rose him up with his magic
" No, I didn't..." Said Liko, looking at himself.
" Well, you sure did, look how big you are now ! " Said Hank as he hugged Liko. Liko hugged back very happy. " Oh my Equestria, how strong you are now !" Said Hank, joking around.
" Now that stupid monster won't have the courage to come face me ! Hahahaha ! " Laughed Liko as Hank placed him back to the floor. " Want to see my new friends ?!"
" You got friends ? Already ?" Said Hank in surprise, even if it shouldn't. " Wow, that is so great, who they are ? "
Liko grabbed Hank's hoof, dragging him away. " Come on, I will show them. We are at my room playing " Catch The Spy" ! ". Said him.
Hank just smiled as he loved to see Liko so happy, it reminded him of his infancy. Not the best kind of memory for him.
" Hi....h...hi !" Said Scaler to Dawn.
" Hey, Scaler ! Its been a while ! " Said Dawn, giving him a hug. Her smile was driving Scaler nuts. His heart was fast as an engine. " You're ok ?" Said her a little worried in reaction of his silence.
" Aww...bl...bu...buttful day, isn't it ?" Said Scaler, incredible confusing but trying to be romantic.
Dawn just got weird out by that and asked. " Buttfull ?"
Scaler noticed his mistake. " NO!! I mean...what a "BEAUTI-FULL" day..." Said Scaler, his scales of the face were apple red.
" Oh...alright. I must had heard wrong. " Said Dawn, nodding with a smile. Her eyes quickly turned to the book on Scaler's hand. " It is that it....?"
Scaler looked at the book and used that time to "make" a plan. " Aww...yeah ! " Daring Do and the forgotten relics", what an epic kick ass book ! " Said him, almost with nothing else to say.
" Well, it is. Foals love it. Its a example of braveness ! " Said her in a gentle tone.
" Yeah yeah...." Said Scaler as he just keep looking at her beauty. " Its beautiful..."
Dawn kept her smile for a few seconds before she noticed something wrong with Scaler. " You're ok, Scaler ? Aww...can I see the book ?....Scaler ?" Said her as Scaler was in his day-dreaming state.
" Baaaaaaaaahh...." Said Scaler lowly, out of himself. Suddenly, in a flash of a second, he came back to reality. " OH ! Aww...here !" Said Scaler as he gave the book to Dawn, trying to quickly fix his mistake.
Dawn had an odd face as she grabbed the book, the way that Scaler was acting was really weird. Another awkward silence started, but Dawn quickly stopped it. " So, you want to come inside ? Have a cupcake ?....maybe join me in reading the book to the foals ? "
Scaler had enough of his weirdness, he just wanted that "torture" to stop. He knew that he was screwing up any chances he got with Dawn by doing that all." Yes yes ! lets go ! "
" I told you that he was real !" Said Liko as he was just showing Hank off to everypony in the orphanage.
Talia, the earth-pony, knew Hank as well but at most of the time, she remained quiet. Hank founded that odd, he was expecting them to have a dialogue of what happened at the market, a week ago. " Good for you..." Said her in a calm but restricted tone.
" Talia...? " Said Hank, looking at her golden eyes. " Do you remember me ? " Asked him, expecting her to had forgotten about him.
Talia looked away. " Yes, I do..." Said her as Liko got between the two.
" You two know each other ? " Asked him in a happy tone. That was fantastic for him, two of his best friends already knew each another.
Hank's eyes turned left as he thought of how to define " know each other" in the right way. " We can say that..."
" That is so awesome ! " Said him as he turned to Talia. " Had you ever did your " mind reading" thing on him ? "
Hank could feel that Talia had something against him, maybe it was because she knew of his secrets, even thought she said that they were in a safe.
" Yes...once...Didn't ended well. " Said her in a cold way. It was way too odd a foal keep doing that sort of voice.
" What you mean ?" Asked Liko, now wondering his mind off.
" Look, Talia. " Said Hank as he interrupted them. " Here ! I forgot to pay you." Said Hank as he grabbed some money with magic and offered to her." And as my apologies, here. " Hank gave a small bonus.
Talia looked at the money, sighed and grabbed. "Thanks..."
" I told you that he was a fair unicorn !" Said Liko in a proudly voice. He sure saw Hank as a hero, an idol. " Anyway, Talia is like that, but she is awesome when you know her. Don't worry." Said him to Hank.
" I know, little pony, I know." Said Hank as he patted Liko's head. " Anyway, who was the another friend ?" Asked him, both trying to get the attention away from him and to know who Liko was strolling around with. " One is Talia but there is still another one. "
" Well, he is upstairs with the others. " Said Liko as he pointed to the stairs.
" Why ?" Asked Hank as he looked at it.
" They are waiting Miss Dawn tell them the new adventures " Daring Do". Said him in an enjoyable smile. " I love the stories."
Hank thought a little about it, this day was sure full of all kinds of coincidences. " Right...so lets go upstairs ! "
Scaler was following Dawn upstairs, keeping the eye on her beautiful coat as they walked.
" - Then I stopped at the cliffhanger, the foals love it and hate it at the same time. But its the kind of thing that makes them wish for more. What you think, Scaler ?"
" Aww...yes yes ! " Said Scaler, being almost in his day-dreaming state." Foals and cliffhangers are awesome...kick ass...."
Dawn stopped at the end of the stairs, a simple wood door." Well, I think that the foals will like your presence. You are big and strong, and foals identify with that." her smile filled her face.
" Oh yes yes....I'm big and strong just for yo-" Scaler quickly shaken his head" I mean ! Them. its gonna be fine. What could go wrong ?"
" ARHHH !! MY GOD ! THEY GOT ME !! " They both hear coming from inside the room.
" Oh Celestia! " Yelled Dawn as she ran in with Scaler, both worried that somepony was hurt.
What they saw just made them laugh.
Hank was on the ground, being attacked by the young foals. He was just playing along.
" OH no ! The ponies got me ! "
Liko, who was on his back, yelled " He belong to us now ! The Cutie Mark Seekers ! Ahahahahhaha ! "
Talia was the few that was on the ground, she had a soft smile on her face, even if she wasn't interacting.
Scaler cleaned his throat. " Aww...Hank ? " Said him as a heads up that they were there.
Hank turned to them but there was a pink female foal on his face. " What ? Scaler ? Is that you ? "
" Yeah, we are...aww...here to the story !"
The foals looked at them, very happy. " STORY TIME !! " Yelled them together as they jumped off Hank.
" Whew..." Said Hank in relief as he watched them all sit down in a circle. " Thanks, they were "taking" me over. " Said him as he joined Scaler and Dawn.
" You're really good with foals, aren't you ? " Said her in a friendly tone. " What is your name ?"
Hank was looking at the foals chatting. " Hank...just that. I came with Scaler "
" Humm..." Said her in a wondering tone. " Alright then. you two are friends ? " Asked her as she went to the middle of the circle.
" You can say that..." Said Scaler as he felt a litlte jealous. Not that Hank had feelings for her, because he made more progress in one sentence than himself in a whole talk.
Now Dawn's attention was all on her foals. " So...Who wants more "Daring Do" ?" Asked her as she clapped.
The room was filled with very happy foals. As that happened, Scaler noticed Hank's horn shinning for some reason, even though he wasn't doing any magic.
" The End " finished her as she closed the book. All the foals were now on the floor, sleeping, a few with the hoof inside their mouths. She looked at Hank and Scaler, who had watched the whole thing. " Can you guys help me take the kids to their beds ?
" Yes. We will. " Said Scaler, trying not to awake the kids.
" Sure, just let me finish this Applecitter and cupcake..." Said Hank as he ate and drunk them together. He had left to get a lunch before she was done.
Scaler just founded that mix so confusing, it would be ok if it was a normal food with that drink but no, it was sugary food with sugary drink.
With both ate and drunk, Hank looked at them. " lets go."
The three started to work together to take the foals to their bed. Scaler carried three on his arms, Dawn carried two to three on her back while she flew over and Hank carried five with his magic and two on his back.
After a long time, putting all the foals on bed. Hank was left alone in Liko's room.
"....You are so good to me, Liko. You have no idea..." Said Hank to the sleeping little pony. " Good night. " Said him as he patted Liko's head one last time before leaving the room.
Dawn looked at Hank. " So you are this Hank that Liko talks so much ?"
" Suppose so, its a long story but here is the short version. I helped Liko, he is happy now and he now see me as some idol. "
Dawn giggled. " He said that he is going to make a fan-club of you. Hehehehe".
Scaler, at the instant that he heard that, giggled too. " So popular with the foals, huh ?" Said him, in a ironic tone.
" Hey ! Come on, lets be mature about this. He will soon forget about me..." Said Hank in a sad tone.
" He won't. Trust me...Liko is here a week and already started a group called " The Cutie Mark Seekers" Said Dawn, rolling her eyes.
Hank had heard the name but really didn't thought that it was serious. " Really ? what is about ?" Said him in a curious way.
" Him, Talia and Joe Star are dedicated to make the good, bring justice and find their cutie marks." Answered her.
Hank thought that it was such ridicules intention but he soon swallow his harsh words as he looked at Scaler. " Seems legit. Can we go ?"
Scaler began to sweat. " Now ? You mean...now ? At this second ?"
" Yeah, right now. I'm so full of love that I want to take a break of it. " Said Hank in a, somehow, both ironic and non-ironic way. He starts to go downstairs.
" He is nice, he just don't know it." Said Dawn with a smile to Scaler. " Believe me, he will soon get off that."
" aww...y...yeah ! I'm sure of it ! " Said Scaler trying to sound tough but failing miserably.
" Well, thank you for bringing the book. I will stay with it a little longer but I will bring it back."
" Ok....." He kept in silence before deciding to make the ultimate act. " Dawn....you....you want to...you know." Scaler makes a sight of leaving.
" What ? "
" Me and you, out...an...but not out " outside". I mean out....-"
" You are inviting me for a date ? " Said her in a sweet voice.
Scaler swallowed his fears as he came with the final word. "....Yes..."
Unlikely of what he had believed, Dawn kept her sweet smile. " Alright. You can pick me up tomorrow at 5:30 PM." she goes to Scaler's face. " You are a very sympathetic dragon" She kissed his cheek, with Scaler passing out right after it." SCALER !"
" Argh...." Said Hank as he was dragging his reptile friend to their house. " That is what you get for not knowing what you are dealing with it, Hank..." Cursed Hank to himself.
After a long walk back in the night, Hank was finally back in his dear house. He turns to the Scaler. " Hey, potato sack ! WAKE UP !"
" Yes ! YES ! I do ! " Yelled Scaler." Where is Dawn ? How I got here ? "
" I don't know. Maybe its because the one here had to carry you and your scales all over the way back ! " Said Hank, pretty angry.
" Sorry...but she accepted, didn't she ?! "
" Yes...yes, she did !" Almost yelled Hank. " Now, if you excuse me, I'm full with all this. Good night ! " Said Hank as he went upstairs.
Scaler sighed as he started to get up. He started to walk when he heard Hank's scream from his room. " HANK !! " Scaler flies upstairs and stops at Hank, staring into his room.
" What happened ?!"
"...My....room. Somepony broke in ! " Yelled Hank as he showed his room all screwed up. Hours and hours of were destroyed. " MY ROOM ! PEGASUS-FEATHERS !! " Yelled him as he ran in, checking everything.
" Hey ! Hold that dirty mouth ! Was something stolen ?" Asked Scaler, looking in the room.
Hank checked ever corner, expect all the damages to his equipment, everything was there.
" Wait..." Said Hank as he noticed something missing. He ran to his bag and pulled a safe the size of a hoof. The door was completely dissolved by a strong acid and it's object inside was gone. This made Hank's heart stop for a second as he saw how dangerous that was now. If they had that, all Green Way, Ponyville, Canterlot even the whole Equestria was in grave danger.
" Hank ? You're ok...?" Asked Scaler, not having any idea of what was going on.
" Its....its all ok. " Said Hank as his eyes slowly turned to him. " I expect you do your end of the bargain and be mine subject for tests...but we will worry about that tomorrow. Now I got things to do..." Hank made a sight with his roof to Scaler, asking him to leave.
Scaler sighed. " You sure ? I can't help ?"
" No, just...act like this didn't happened. Ok ? "
".....Ok..." Scaler looked down as he left the room and closed the door.
Hank knew that they got something incredible powerful in their hands now. Something that he wanted to destroy, but didn't had the courage. " They will be back, and now with the CV-2 in their hands. " Hank stopped for a moment, thinking in the future that he was predicting. " I don't think that even Celestia or the Elements of Harmony can stop it...." Said Hank as he went to his table, with the intention of build something, but this time, for the sole purpose of defense. They were back and they wanted one simple thing...

Episode 1 - "Warm Welcome" Part 1
Welcome ! And thank you for reading this series. It is supposed to follow the show "cannon" but a few "mistakes" might appear in the way so don't mind it so much.
The story happens in the city of Green Way, the neighbor city of Ponyville, the cities are similar but overall, while Ponyville have more population and popularity, Green Way stands out as well for it's well productions. A city rich and very worth living. But many things will happen now, especially with Hank, Zeek, Rose and Scaler. Secrets will be revealed and the magic of friendship will shine again.

"Alright...is this map right ? Green Way is...up-ahead ! ...I guess."
Hank couldn't believe how unlucky he got since he started this "journey" to Green Way. Green Way was the neighbor city to Ponyvile and both fed each other's needs. Green Way's half apple supply came from Ponyvile, specifically from "Sweet Apple Acres". Ponyvile's other needs like technology came from Green Way.
Hank giggled ironically as he thoughts of the name of that city. Green Way was called like that for it's "green" progress,fast, all forward, awkward name indeed but he didn't actually cared. Even if technology aren't the biggest source of profit, it was the best that he could do.
Hank was a relatively tall brown unicorn with black mane and tail. His eyes were green emerald. His cutie mark was a book with a small red thunder on it. He didn't had a friendly face, however, that hid his incredible brilliant mind. Hank Q.I expanded itself very far as he knew high level science and mechanics.
However, his social skills were way far too rusty and flawed. It wasn't that he didn't liked other ponies, it was that they just didn't had the "brain power" to understand him and his projects.
Hidden to everypony, Hank hid a lot of energy based weapons,hidden mostly in his bags on his back. Not he was actually proud of building dangerous devices but he lived in danger, dangers that he wished that would leave him alone. His dream was to make his genius be worth something, to change something for good, which hasn't been lately...
After hours and more hours of pure walking in roads and woods, Hank was starting to convince himself that the map that he was using had something wrong. He looked at it again in frustration and came with his conclusion.
"Hummm...why I'm wasting time with this piece of paper with words and drawings ?" Asked Hank to himself as he throws away the map and opened his bag in a flash.
With a grin in his face, he took off a small around device. The machine was more like a bracelet, but a big metal one with a lot of buttons. Pressing a big orange one, the device opened and Hank puts on one of his hooves, closing it.
"Now to program this thing...again," Said Hank as he started to press a few buttons on the device, taking serious care. "Ok...now this, putting the coördinates, the tracking program. Code 4252, C-A-N-L-N-G".
Suddenly, the screen on the device came to life as it talks in metallic female voice.
"Morning Master. What I can do for you today ?"
"You can show me the local map," Then Hank's eyes then turned diagonally, as he came with another request. "And maybe tell me a joke."
"Right away, Master." Said the device in the same tone.
The screen filled itself with images of many versions of the same map, few showing different statistics. With all that information, the way to the city was clear as crystal. A smile filled Hank's lips as he just couldn't live without technology and Cassandra.
"Thank you, Cassandra. And my joke ?"
"What the cell said when it entered in a bar ?" Answered the machine right away.
Hank knew that one, and that it was a horrible one. Cassandra wasn't well programmed to make jokes, even if that wasn't very important.
Hank sighed in frustration.
"Remind me: " Give you a better joke program. One that actually is WORTH listing".
"Yes, Master."
"Thanks, that is all". Said Hank as he pressed a red button and the screen went black.
With that set and done, Hank was back at walking with his bags on his back. His surroundings were now deep jungle, with a touch of swamp, but beyond his dirty hooves, he was doing just fine.
The animal sounds were really making a show around but Hank wasn't the kind to be scared that easy, he had his reasons. The city was not far away and he would be soon there.
4 hours later...
Hank welcomed himself as he stepped into the roads of the city. The place was full of all the ponies of ever kind. Big, small, all colors and cutie marks of all types.
However, they were going to their own destinies, and Hank wanted to do the same. Walking in the area, he noticed that he was at the center of the city and that the house that he bought was located at side of the market area, so he was doing progress. The house was abandoned, according to the advertisement that he had read about it.
As he was thinking about, almost day dreaming in his own little world, h-
"HELLO !! WELCOME !" yelled a mysterious pegasus behind Hank.
"AHHHH !!!" Yelled Hank as he jumps on the air in pure panic. He quickly turned around to the source of the yell. It didn't took long as his face was just inches of a gray pegasus's smiling face.
- "Welcome, pal ! You new here !?" Said the pegasus, not bothering with the scare that he had just done to Hank.
Hank separated his face from the pegasus as he was so pissed off. How dared that insane creature just scare him like that ? For a moment, he wanted to pull out his laser pistol and scare that weirdo off,
"IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE, WHAT WAS THAT FOR !?" Yelled Hank, incredible angry, at the pegasus.
The silly pegasus, that had black mane and tail and a NES controller as his cutie tail, kept his smile as Hank backed off. The weirdest thing about him was that Hank had simply NO idea where he came from.
"It was to welcome you to the town, Princess Rose Moon asked me personally to help you to be shown around the city."
That did a little more sense but Hank wasn't satisfied with that information.
-..."How you got soo close of me without me noticing ?" Asked him, suspecting of something.
The pegasus had let out a giggle. Ok, Hank started to find that oddly creepy now.
"I just teleported !" Said him as announced a big news.
Now that might been one of the most impossible things that he ever heard in his life of discoveries. That pegasus had no horn, he couldn't possible produce magic.
Hank started now to think if that pegasus thought that he stupid or something, of course he could see his cutie tail, he just wasn't what it meant.
That name was just plain stupid for Hank. First of all, there was no "Masters" in the world, at least for Hank. And how "game" and "master" could be used in the same sentence ?
" Game Master"?" Hank made an odd face at him. " What you mean with such name ? You pretty much doesn't seem to be master of something."
"Yep, since I was a little, I was FASCINATED with games." Said the pegasus as his eyes got taken away from Hank and stared at the air in a dream-like state. "From the simple NES to the modern, at least to its time, Nintendo 64 ! Of course, I played all the games on all the consoles !" Kept on the pegasus, now turning back at Hank. " I got adapted to any gameplay, to any controller, any graphic...One day...I became ONE with them ! "
For Hank, he had done it. That pegasus had done it ! The limit of his patience had been broken by all the impossibilities that he had just heard.
-"....Wooooooow, just wow...You must be one of the CRAZIEST ponies I ever saw in my entire life !" Yelled Hank, in a hurtful way. He really hoped that would make the weirdo go away.
The pegasus winked with his left eye as he disagreed with his head. Hank didn't seemed to be that lucky to get away from him.
"They always say that, but look !" Said him as he walked backward a little. He sure wanted to show something to Hank.
" What you doing ? Can I just go ?" Asked Hank, tired of waiting his "chance" of leaving.
" No ! Wait ! Just wait one second...its coming !" Guaranteed the pegasus as he forced his eyes to open very widely. And, in a surprise, they got quickly red and focused. In a blink of a eye, a 8-bit sword flied out of them and exploded into the air, making 8-bit sounds as they vanished without a trace.
-"See ?!" Laughed the pegasus in pure victory as he got back to his normal position, looking at Hank's reaction.
Hank was just speechless, that wasn't possible by anyhow, or was it...? Nopony around them seemed to be slightly "effected" by that amazing stun ! It's like that happened all the time...
"Th...that is just plain impossible !" Yelled Hank at the pegasus.
A victorious and trustworthy smile filled the pegasus face as he spoken.
"Hehehehe, they also say that after see it. They don't believe, I show to them and they freak out," Said the pegasus as he started to walk back at Hank. "But trust me, when you get used to here, this power of mine will be more than just an everyday occurrence..." Suddenly, his eyes opened in shock as he noticed himself getting out of subject. " Oh look, I was changing subject! Sorry ! I came here to show you around, not myself."
First minutes in the town and he has already met with the impossible...and that wasn't a good sight for him. All he wanted was to get home and stay away from that pegasus.
-"...Just leave me alone. Im NOT interested." Hank turned around and started to leave the pegasus who was still insistent in having his attention.
-"...YOU CAN CALL ME ZEEK ! OK ?" Yelled Zeek as he was hoping that Hank would say something or at least wave back.
Hank didn't replied to the weirdo. He just kept walking and walking away, in direction of his destination. As he was pretty far away, Zeek started to wonder to himself the why of no answers.
-" ...Humm, maybe he didn't heard me," Said Zeek, lowering his ears in disappointment. As he started to walk away, he noticed something shiny on the ground. Zeek looked at it and saw that it was a book with a silver lock, almost like a diary. " Oh no ! He must had dropped from his bag when he jumped on the air...I must retrieve it to him ! That is what a good friend do !"
Zeek closes his eyes and disappear in a 8-bit flash as he followed Hank towards the market area.
