The final wish

THE SPARK

It was a normal day for Dream Caster.  she woke up went down stairs and ate breakfast and kissed her mother Fluttershy and her father Somber goodby and went off to school.  she liked her parents she talked to her mother when she was going through changes and she would always talk to her father for guy questions.  but the one thing she never talked about was love.  love was the one thing she could never talk about.  and the one thing she wanted more than anything was a stallion to hold her on Hearth Warming day.  Some stallion to kiss her under the mistletoe and to sit by the fire with.  Dream trotted into school like she did every day.  "hello Dream"   "how ya doin?"  "nice mane Dream i like what you did".  "thanks you guys"  she would often say back but these were all nothign compared to what she felt when she saw him.  the stallion she always wanted and more.  his name was Flare Spark.  a handsome red stallion with golden hair with streaks of orange and  red.  he was kind caring nice and best of all he was one of her closest friends.  she trotted up to him "h-hey Flare"  her voice soft and timid as it always is when she is around him.  "hey there Dream!  how are you today?"   he asked in a voice that was almost to cheery.  "i-im fine how are you?"  her stomach flutters as she thinks about letting hi mknow her true feelings towards him.  "im fine thanks for asking.  oh and i have some good ne..."   the bell rings and Dream sighs half in relife, half in frustration that she didnt get to hear the good news.  "oh sorry gata go to class.  see you at lunch ok?"  "y-yes at lunch"  her stomach flutters at the thought of him telling her that he likes her or some other good news along the sort.  Dream sits through many boring classes such as math, science and her favorite gym.  she was always at the top of the class in flying speed and running.  then she went to lunch were she sat with her friends.  "oh my gosh did you hear about what Flare Spark said earlier?" said her friends Flower Dancer.   "yes i was very surprised"  said her  other friend Teal Splash.  "w-what did he say?"  Dream asked holding back the excitement and hope that she had in her mind.  :oh what if he said he likes me and was going to ask me out?  what if he really will be my special somepony on Hearths Warming!" she thought to her self.   her friend looked at her and said "he said he was going to"  the bell rings and once again cuts her off from hearing the news.  she couldnt concentrate for the rest of the day.  all she could think about was what he might have said.

when she got home she kissed her mother and father.   "how was school?"  Fluttershy asked in a soft voice.  "it was fine just really boring"  Dream replied in her voice that was almost as soft as fluttershys.   "did you learn anything?"  somber asked as he trotted out of the kitchen and kissed fluttershy on the cheek.  upon seeing this Dream got a little bit embarrassed and she blushed slightly.  "y-yes i did father.  i learned about science and chemical reactions" she said with some excitement.  "i find it very intresting" she smiled.  "ah science i remember that class.  how was music?"  Somber asked with much curiosity.  "oh r-right music"  she quickly tried to think something to say since she was not paying attention in that class.  "it was fun we just practiced how to smoothly mix tracks together" she smiled and nodded.  "your going to be a great DJ just like your father one day i just no it"  Fluttershy said as she nuzzled Sombers cheek softly.   Dream blushed and thought back to Flare Spark.  "th-thats what i hope to be one day"  she said with all honesty.  she really did like her fathers job as a DJ and she loved music just as much as her father does.  "i hope you do to sweetie" Somber said in a cheery voice as he russtled her mane.   "DAD!"  she groaned as she fixes her mane. "you know i hate it when you do that. you know i spent 15 minutes getting this the way i want it"  Dream said looking at her father is annoyance.  Somber laughs and kisses her cheek.  "i know thats why i do it".  Dream sighs and smiles as she trots into the living room and sits down helping Dream with her language home work.  "i never understood how you of all ponies got so good at laguage darling.   you were always so shy and could hardly say a sentance without stuttering but now your helping our little filly get all A's.  you never fail to amaze me flutters"  Somber says as he goes into his music studio and works on his newest remix. fluttershy blushes as Dream groans and giggles.  "mom" Dream said in a very annoyed tone.  "yes Dream?"  Fluttershy says as she looks over the home work.  "can you please tell daddy to stop calling me a little filly.  im 13 im not little anymore".  Fluttershy nuzzles her cheek and kisses her "sweetie you could be 39 and you would still be our little filly".  Dream smiles and kisses back "ok fine but can you at least make him stop rustling my mane".   "yes i will tell him to stop that".  Dream smiles and then goes back to her home work but is unable to concentrate because she still cant stop thinking about Flare Spark.  "are you feeling ok sweetie?  you seem kind of out of it"  Fluttershy asked after a while.   "y-yes im fine.  im just ready for winter break".   Dream says and Fluttershy seems to buy it but deep down she just wants to talk to Flare Spark.
