Prologue: Memories

My name is Ditzelle Hooves, and people often call me Derpy, i am a Pegasus living on this town, Ponyville, and i am very different to anypony here. Why? Easy, my eyes, my curious eyes are almost always pointing at different directions. People ask me how can i see with them, but the truth is that i can see like everypony can, it's not a problem for me. The other trait is that, disgracefully, i'm always clumsy and careless, but it's not my intention, i just have very, very bad luck. I am not trying to destroy everything that is on my eyesight, it's just that.... I-i don't know, it just happens! Everypony always scream at me. I offer my help and they say "N-No thanks! It's fine! it's fine... you... go and help.. emmhh... that other pony!"
I remember the incident with the Town Hall, well, i have to recognize that, it was a part of my fault, but i just tried to help! I really tried to help, to be helpful, to prove that i can be a hardworker and loyal pegasus...
"In the name of Celestia, just sit there and do *nothing*!"
I tried to hide my sadness after that. I felt as if i just destroyed the building, i just wanted them to see that i can be useful, but i ruined it.
Oh well, life is sad when you are Derpy Hooves. I've hear that there was a chimera-like spirit, Discord, causing troubles on Ponyville. Well, he was very strange, a bunch of... animals together, like a joke. But i think that is the fact of his behavior. I wish i could do something... I-i don't know, these 6 ponies are always doing heroic things and stuff, i'd like to be a highlight too, but not for destroying, instead for doing something special.
Oh well... Eh, I repeated it... I think i must check it, i must prove it by myself. I can't sit on my hooves and leave things like this! It is not acceptable! I believe that Discord has a bit of light on his... creature heart.. Emmhh... whatever he is, Mmhh... Draconequus?
So be it, i'll check the statue and look if i can bring him back, however it's possible. It will bring me problems, and if he brings chaos again, i'll enter to a sad exile, i fear it, but it... it worths a try! It worths it! And i shall put an end to this.
But... It would make her sad... It would make Golden Harvest sad. She is my only true friend. And i like her very much! I don't want to get her in a trouble, and less, if I am the cause of the problem. I don't know, she's always loyal at me, even through all the times i stole her food, all the times i crasehd on the orchard (Thankfully, I didn't destroy it yet), all the times i... i ruined everything! I think that i am a disgraced, everytime broking something, if it isn't the town hall, is a shop, or a piano, or whatever.
But Golden Harvest was always there to defend me. She is a laborious and noble friend, i would love to reward her, but i could do nothing but just destroy, destroy and destroy. Oh yeah, that's me, Ditzelle Destroy, how unfunny, "Come on Derpy! we must demolish this building, would you help us?", That's right, Miss Destroy.
Someday the other ponies will see that i am like everypony! or i'll disappear trying, whatever happens first.
I'd like to remember this moment, for the greatness!
Chapter 1: Release

"Are you sure about it, Ditzy?" asked Golden Harvest.
"Absolutely" replied Ditzelle "Derpy" Hooves. The gray mare was dressing with an special and shining white dress. The gala was coming soon, and she was invited with her friend, surprising everyone. So, they bought their dressed from Rarity, and they prepaired themselves for that great event, on Golden Harvest's house, were, also, Derpy lived.
"I didn't expected the invitation from the Princess itself, it was a great event, But why are you wishing to ruin it? Why do you want to wake Discord? Don't you remember what he did?
"I do! But i don't think that he is the only responsible of that!"
"Oh, yeah, and my mane is green and my mark is a flower, Ha ha." said with sarcastic tone.
"Hmph, don't joke about it, it's a serious matter! You know, that would choose the fate of all Equestria!"
"Fine, don't get mad now..." sighed Golden, "Okay, okay, i'll stay by your side."
"I thank you, my friend. With sky's bless, we will do something for the world"
"Yeah... we will" Said nerviously, just before to fix her black dress. The truth is that Golden Harvest is Ditzelle's best friend. Golden Harvest was always loyal to her, she was always faithful and she always defended her from the critics. Through it brought her a lot of problems, she never separated from Derpy.
"And here comes our carriage, are you ready?"
"Y-yeah, i am..."
And so they were, the cart didn't take so long to arrive. As soon as it did, they boarded their special carriage. Carefully, so their dresses wont get any remainder of dust or dirtiness.
The travel didn't take too long, but it made both mares anxious. Derpy just wanted to see it, to look at it, to put an eye on it, to watch, to touch, to talk, to dialogue with that stone image. Instead, Golden was looking at Derpy's eyes, thinking about her, thinking of her misadventures, the troubles she made, and the things she did, but she was devoted to her, devoted to show everyone that she doesn't mean to do that, that she is different to what they think. The true reasons remain on Golden Harvest's mind, althrough she says that she and Ditzelle are nothing more than just friends, some people start to suspect that it goes far beyond that.
So was it. Golden Harvest and Derpy lived together since 4 years ago. The circumtances are that, because Ditzelle's clumsiness, her house was just gone, that was, just gone. Crashed, broken, collapsed, demolished, or whatever you could say, at long as it is related to destruction, to things going completely destroyed, and a gray-mare mayoress screaming, "Ditzy! What have you destroyed today?"
Oh, completely, their encounter was some sort of post-disaster. Golden remembers it as if it was yesterday. She remembers the crossed-eyes mare touching her door, with her face of "i wasn't! i swear it", Golden just sighed knowing that she caused a new disaster.
"I... i just don't know what went wrong! I was baking muffins, and then, the next i remember was a dark sky with a lot of stars!... mind if you allow me to accompany you... til i get a new house?"
What a trouble, what a mistake, what a problem, what a comdemn. Well, everypony would think like that, but Golden didn't, and instead, she just placed herself on Ditzelle's side, and, with all the pain and risk it would bring to her, she allowed the gray pegasus to stay in her home. For first time on her life, Derpy felt that she was understood, and it filled her heart with joy and happyness.
Of course, Ditzelle couldn't be a lazy girl, and Golden required her help, so she did, Golden and Derpy worked together on the orchard. Surprisingly, Dierpy hasn't destroyed the building yet (just caused some damages), instead, thanks to her work, Golden Harvest's orchard increased its productivity, and it brought even more benefits to the earth pony, the productivity increased and the harvest season was one of the best on her life. Yes, she enjoyed it, and she enjoyed how that gray pegasus showed her that she can do the things by the right way, and not only reduce .them to debris, Yet, it was a surprise when Ponyville knew about Golden's fate, but it was even more unexpected to see her house and her orchard standing, not yet transformed on ruins of wood and hay.
Derpy, on her side, what thinking about the stone statue, Yet, so magnificent and so humiliating at the same time, She felt that it was waiting for her, that it was waiting to see her, and Ditzy felt that it was fair and necessary, and that's was how it had to be, But also, she had to know the reasons of his appareance, Why was he like that? or why was he there? It occupied her mind and filled it with questions, and she watched for answers.
Finally, the carriage stops in front of the castle. It allowed them to get down and walk through the entire royal passage.
"Oh, saint mares, it was pretty boring, if you ask me." said Derpy Hooves.
"Uh? What? It was faster than i thought!" replied Golden Harvest, while she was adjusting her dress, "Emh... mind if i give you an idea?"
"Speak, my friend, speak! Whatever you can do to help, it will be useful."
"Shouldn't we go to the gala first and, at the middle, see the statue. You know, that's going to be a boring party..."
"Of course, i wanted to check the statue first but... your plan sounds logic, and it makes sense, so yeah, we shall try it"
Golden sighed with relaxation, "I hope it worked."
"Oh yeah, it does work, now let's go! The party awaits us."
And they did, and they walked to the castle, and the tried to figure how not to look so impressed for that majestuosity. But, with every Ditzelle's step, the voices sounded at the distance. "Oh no! here she comes, run! run for your life!", "Did the princess invite that pegasus? What happened with her?" "It's clear, the Princess wants to build a new castle, and she invited her to demolish it! Ha ha ha!"
Derpy could just growl, but Golden was there to calm her down.
"Don't listen to them, they're blind, they can't see the great mare you are, You know? You're worthier than them...."
"T-thanks..."
As the mares passed through the way, the teasings from other ponies came, and taunted Ditzelle to explode and quit, but Golden managed to make her ignore them, and peacefully enter the royal castle.
