Chapters Doctor Who: Return to Earth
RRRR!!!!! RRRR!!!!!! RRRR!!!!! RRRR!!!!!! RRRRR!!!!!! RRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Hold on tight!!!!" The Doctor yells, and the TARDIS explodes into the Doctor's home Universe with a red ball of light, sending the occupants inside the vessel spiraling around on the floor. "Almost done!!!" The Doctor yells again, and then, the TARDIS jolts once more, causing the Doctor to hit his head and black out. The TARDIS calms down. When he comes to, he looks to his arms. He actually has arms. He stands up, and gladly realizes that he's got legs! He looks around the TARDIS. Still the same TARDIS as after he regenerated from his tenth incarnation.
He then looks to Derpy, and finds not a grey Pegasus, but a blonde woman with golden eyes... but no clothing. "Oh!" The Doctor turns his head away, and then notices that he to, his nude. "Oh, God. I'm afraid to look at Spike..." He says to himself, and turns to the TARDIS console.
"Could you open the Wardrobe, Dear?" The Doctor says, and a door opens up to his left, and he walks into it. He looks around, and picks out the exact suit that he wore with the Bow tie. "Ah. Much better. Thank you, Old Girl. Could you fit my friends with something matching their looks, and scan them for their personality? Fit them with something that will go with that, too."
The Doctor walks out of the Wardrobe to find his friends dressed. "Ah. That's better. I'll go see where we've landed." The Doctor pushes the TARDIS doors open, and finds himself in an open field. "Ha. Perfect." He turns an goes inside the box. "Wake up, friends! We're in my Universe!" The Doctor says as he bangs on the TARDIS's floor, causing his companions to wake up.
The three companions jump up in the air and come back down, not noticing their new bodies. Derpy had light skin and is wearing a grey shirt with blue jeans and black sneakers, and her hair is done up in a braid. Twilight's hair was virtually unchanged, having the same style and colors, but her head was lacking the horn. She was wearing purple jeans, white sneakers and a purple vest over a white long-sleeved shirt. She had slightly dark skin.
Spike had green hair done up in a spiky Mohawk, he was wearing a black shirt with a purple jacket, and black jeans with blue sneakers. He was a pale little kid, somewhere around ten or twelve. "Doctor?! What- Where- Human!!! I'm a human!!!" Twilight says with a mix of excitement and fear.
"What- Doctor! We're here!" Derpy says as she notices her body. She stands up and runs over to the Doctor, and embraces him tightly. "Ha ha! You did it! You got us here safely! Well, sort of, the TARDIS console is a mess, but still! Look at me!"
The Doctor lets go of Derpy. "Ha ha! We're here! And look at you, Ditzy Doo! You look like a twenty year old woman!" The Doctor turns to Twilight. "And look at you, Ms. Sparkle! You're approximately eighteen or nineteen in this Universe! And little Spike! Look at you, quite the Devil, and believe me, 'cuz I met the Devil. You're just a kid!" The Doctor turns and walks to the doors of the TARDIS.
"Welcome, my friends..." The Doctor says as he pushes the TARDIS doors open. "To Planet Earth!"
Doctor Who: Return to Earth
The Doctor's three companions stare with mouth agape at the beautiful planet before them. The lush green grass stretched out in countless miles all around them. It was noon, and the sun's rays made the already bright green grass even brighter. "That's... beautiful!" Twilight says, stumbling out of the TARDIS, still not used to her new legs.
"And this is only a small place on this humongous planet! Equestria is way more beautiful than this, but still... there's a lot of beauty on this world... Anyway! Names! I'll be Doctor John Smith. Derpy... How about Kate? I like Kate, what do you think?"
"Sure!"
"Okay, then! Twilight?"
"Um... Ashley?"
"Ha ha! That's a good name! Now, what name do you want, Spike?"
".... I don't know! How am I supposed to know what names they have here?!"
"Good point. I'll use the TARDIS's Translation Circuit to put some knowledge in your brains." The Doctor walks into the TARDIS and presses some buttons, and then the three Equestrians suddenly know everything that happened to the Earth in the last five centuries.
"There we go! Now, Spike, name?"
"... Brian."
"Hm... You don't really look like a Brian, but, whatever you want. Brian! Brian! B-B-B-B-B-Brian! Ha! That's a funny name!" The Doctor laughs, and goes back into the TARDIS. "So, where to? Oh! I know!" The Doctor pushes some buttons and pulls some levers, and the engines whir.

"Aha! There we go! 3:40 A.M. on Friday 31 August 1888 on a street called Buck's Row! And if I'm right... There should be an awesome party going on down the street! Let's go!" The Doctor says has he leads the now humanized ponies and dragon out of the TARDIS. "Come on, this way!"
The TARDIS crew turn a corner, and find a gruesome sight before them. A police investigation. The Doctor couldn't see what they were standing over, but he assumed it wasn't good. "Derpy, Twilight, Spike... Stay here, and do NOT. Move." The Doctor says, taking out his Physic Paper and walking up to the lead detective.
"Hello! I'm Doctor John Smith, I was sent by the local police of London to inspect the body and bring it in for an Autopsy. Who are you?"
The detective looks puzzled, and answers. "I'm Inspector Frederick Abberline, and who are you?"
"I told you. Doctor John Smith- Did- Did you just say Frederick Abberline?"
"Yes... Why?"
The Doctor's face goes pale as he realizes his mistake.
"DERPY!!!! TWILIGHT!!!! SPIKE!!!! GET TO THE TARDIS!!!!" The Doctor runs towards his friends and grabs them, and they rush towards the TARDIS. Once inside, the Doctor takes to the console and looks at the exact date. "Yeah... Looks like I've made a mistake. Look into the memories of the 1800's London..."
The three Equestrians tap into the historical records, and when they find what they wanted, they wish they hadn't. "Oh, my Goddess... Some sicko really did that?!" Twilight growls as the Doctor looms at the controls, wanting to flick a switch and send them back, but before he could...
"We've got to get that guy!" Spike says, prompting the Doctor to stop in his tracks.
"We can't Spike. The lives lost at the hand of the Ripper are fixed points in time. We can't stop him now. That was only one of five, spanning out across several months. We can't, or else Time will collapse, or the victims will end up dead, anyway. There's no point."
"I thought that's what you did! You help people!" Spike yells.
"Listen here, Spike. You do not tell me what to do. I have a lot of rules , and right now is not a good time to find out why I have so many...." The Doctor walks back to the controls, and then has an Idea. "But... If we travel to the point of the last murder... We could catch him AFTER the deed was done, but I don't know if Jack's identity never being revealed is a fixed point. I'll take the risk, but do NOT mess with ANYTHING historical!"
"Got it!" Spike says with a determined look on his face.
"Ugh... Well... Let's go get Jack the Ripper."
Doctor Who: Return to Earth
"Doctor," Twilight starts.
"Hm?"
"We're going after a murderer. A mad murderer."
"Yes, yes we are."
"And yet all we have is three humans, an alien, a blue box and a metal rod you call a Screwdriver." Twilight says, and walks towards the doors of the TARDIS.
"H-Hey!! Don't insult my Screwdriver!" The Doctor says, walking after Twilight with Derpy and Spike following behind him. When they walk out, they find that the body has already been taken to wherever the police took it. "Okay... One murder down... four to go. Let's get back to the TARDIS..."
The Doctor turns and heads to the TARDIS with his companions not far behind him. "Spike, look into the memories of Jack's murders. When did the last one take place?" The Doctor asks the humanized Dragon, Spike closes his eyes as he enters the TARDIS and concentrates.
Jack the Ripper...
Murder...
Sliced open...
Gutted...
Unholy...
Ripper....
Phantom...
Demon...
Jack... The Ripper...
Spike awakes with a gasp and finds himself on the floor of the TARDIS, his friends surrounded him, all with worried looks on their faces, except for the Doctor, who was over at the controls of the TARDIS, looking for something. "D-Doctor?! What happened?!" Spike asks.
"You collapsed, Spike. I thought that was obvious. Aha! There it is!" The Doctor says and pulls out his Sonic Screwdriver, which had apparently been lost. "I dropped it when you collapsed. You startled me, Spike. You had me worried. Now, anyway, what went wrong?" The Doctor says as he scans the small kid.
"You're fine, just some backlash from the memories. Now, what time was the last murder?"
Spike thinks, and then replies.
"About 6 A.M. on Saturday 8th of September 1888 near a doorway... In the backyard of 29 Hanbury Street." Spitalfields." Spike says, bringing a hand up to his head. The memory backlash had given him a headache. The Doctor gets to the controls, with Derpy helping him out.
The engines whir, and when they stop, The Doctor looks outside to find the TARDIS in a backyard, with no one around, except for a young woman, who was lying on the ground. "Is she okay?!" Spike asks with noticeable concern. The Doctor doesn't answer, and walks up to her.
The Doctor closes his eyes at the sight before him. A dark brunette, light skin, with her throat cut and torso mutilated. Her night gown was drenched with blood, as was the area around her. If she wasn't in this state, the Doctor would have gone as far to say she was quite beautiful.
"No, Spike. She is certainly not okay. She's the final victim. Now, we go to the police. Derpy, get into the TARDIS and cloak it, second button, third row. Spike, you and Twilight head to the police, report a body. I'll stay here and remain unnoticed."
A body was found in a backyard, 29 Hanbury Street. She was identified as Mary Jane Kelly. The woman was aged 25 at time of death. Cause being determined.
Investigator Frederick Abberline.
"Now, what Doctor?" Twilight asks as they walk around the streets of Whitechapel.
"We look for Jack. Granted, we'll probably fail, but it's worth a shot, right?" The Doctor says, and turns a corner to a man in a black coat brush past the Doctor's shoulder, and rush off. "Oi! You could say 'excuse me!'" The Doctor scolds as the man walks off.
"The human race gets rather rude at times, doesn't it?" The Doctor says as they continue to walk. They stopped at a small restaurant down the street to get something to eat, though they didn't have any money. The Doctor just walked to the nearest bank and used the Physic Paper to pose as a person who had an account there, and took about a hundred dollars from them.
After they ate, they set out for the killer. "I've been involved in murder plots before, and the killer usually sticks around the crime scene for a little, to spy on their handy work. If Jack is one of those criminals, then we could find him." The Doctor states as they head back to Mary Jane Kelly's death place.
Once there, the four spread out to look for anyone suspicious.
Twilight was walking along the left side of the house, when she did spot someone. She approached him, but ran off. "Hey! Stop!" She yells, and runs after him. He runs through an alley way, and Parkour's up a nearby building, jumping off window sills and swinging off of pipes. Twilight tries to do the same, and nearly falls to her death a few times, but manages to get up, just in time to see the man jump off.
"No! Get back here!" She yells and runs over to the edge, and without thinking, jumps off. She lands safely in a pile of trash, but doesn't see the man.
"Rats..." She says, and prepares to walk back to the Doctor, but is grabbed around her waist, and is gagged with a peice of cloth, and all of the sudden, is draped over the man's shoulder.
Twilight tries to yell "Let me Go!" but it comes out as a muffled tone.
The man chuckles. "Sorry, little lady, but you're mine, now..."
The only response Twilight has is a muffled scream: "Doctor!!"
Doctor Who: Return to Earth
"Where the heck is Twilight? She should be back by now!" Spike says, with a mix of irritation and worry in his voice. The Doctor scans the area for her bio-signature, but it seems she's not in withing a two mile radius of the TARDIS. The Doctor keeps trying though, but every time comes up with nothing.
"Either she's gone shopping with a new friend, or Jack's gotten hold of her." The Doctor says, still scanning for her.
"How can you be so sure?" Derpy asks, just outside the open TARDIS doors. The Doctor again scans, but finds nothing. He hits the screen with anger, and sits down in the middle of the floor. "Doctor?" Derpy looks inside to find the Doctor sitting down playing with a Rubik's Cube.
"Hm? Oh! Yes! Twilight. Ripper. Bow tie." The Doctor says as he throws the Cube over his shoulder, unknowingly hitting Spike on the head, who responded with a loud howl of pain. "Sorry! Anyway, if Twilight's been captured by Jack, then we need to hurry. I won't like it if she's one of the un-canonical murders." The Doctor says has he walks out of the TARDIS, locking it when Spike and Derpy are outside with him.
"Okay, here's the plan... We need to come up with a plan." The Doctor says with a serious expression on his face. Derpy just stared at the Time Lord, and Spike let out a chuckle. "What? We do need to come up with a plan." The Doctor says again.
"Uh... We go searching for Twilight?" Derpy says, and the Doctor jumps with excitement.
"Ha ha! That's brilliant! Best plan I've ever heard!"
Derpy has a dumbfounded look on his face. "... Uh... Okaaayyy....."
The Doctor snaps his fingers, and the TARDIS locks itself. "Let's go find the Ripper!"
RRRR!!! RRRR!!! RRRR!!!! RRRR!!!
The Doctor rushes out of the TARDIS with the Sonic Screwdriver glowing and whirring in his hand, the green glow lighting up the dim night of Whitechapel. It had begun to rain, though it was only a drizzle. Spike had tried several times to breath fire and warm up a little, but being a human kid he was unable to.
"We're getting close. Hold on, Twilight!" The Doctor says, with a half-smile on his face, he runs a little faster in the direction the Screwdriver told him. They ran for several minutes, passing a park, a church and a few homeless families. Being nice, the Doctor gave them the leftover money from dinner.
They kept on running, getting ever so closer, when the Screwdriver stopped. "What?!" The Doctor exclaims. It had never done this before, why was it doing this now? "Work, you piece of junk! Work!" The Doctor says in a mix of fright and anger. If the Screwdriver had stopped working, then they couldn't find Twilight.
"Come on! WORK!!" He yells, and throws it against a nearby wall. He sits down on the wet road, and places his head on his knees. Spike walked up to the Screwdriver, and picked it up. He shakes it a little, and it turns on. The Doctor sees the green light, and grabs it from Spike.
He looks form the metal rod to the Human Dragon. "How did you- Spike- What?!" The Doctor looks at Spike for a long while. "There's something different about you, Spike..." The Doctor once again scans for Twilight, and find that's she's just around the corner.
"YES!!! Derpy, Spike, let's go!!!!" The Doctor runs off for Twilight, with Derpy and Spike behind him.
"Something different about me...?" Spike questions. They soon arrive at a nice looking house. It had a few windows, a patio, all of the basics. The moon in the night sky reflected off the windows. The rain had stopped, and raindrops fell from the edge of the roof.
"According to my Screwdriver, yes."
Doctor Who: Return to Earth
Twilight was bound against the wall, gagged with a dirty cloth, and her hands and feet were chained together. She couldn't do anything. Without her horn, she was powerless. She struggles a little, but it's no use. "Try as much as you want, girl. You can't get out." The Ripper says in a raspy voice from the shadows.
Twilight spits out the cloth. "When my friends get here you'll be sorry!"
She was then met by a fist to the face and the cloth back in her mouth. "Keep trying. You're just making this more fun, for me." Jack reaches into a drawer and pulls out a knife. It looked as if it was sharpened recently. When Twilight saw it, she knew she was in trouble.
She tried to say "You're a sick and twisted monster!" But it came out more like "MMGDGSS DG mmf!" Jack laughed and grabbed Twilight's shirt, and pulled it up. "Mmf!" Twilight gasps as Jack's blade touches her stomach. Twilight tries with all of her might not to struggle. That blade could kill her in an instant.
"It's a shame, really. All of my other victims never struggled. At least, after I made sure they knew that they couldn't escape. But you, you never gave up. I'll make sure you go in the most PAINfull way!" Jack says as he plunges the knife deep into Twilight's belly, causing her to yell in pain, with a little blood coming out of her mouth.
Tears stream from her face as Jack moves the blade through Twilight's body, cutting her open. Just before Jack was done, however, the Doctor, Derpy and Spike burst through the door, surprising Jack, causing him to take the knife out, blood spilling from Twilight.
Spike jumps onto Jack, knocking him to the ground. As the two struggle, Derpy swipes the knife and cuts the lock on Twilight's bounding, causing her to fall into the Doctor's arms. "Oh, my God, Twilight! Derpy, hurry, get her inside the TARDIS!" The Doctor activates the screwdriver, causing the TARDIS to appear before them.
"The medical center is down the hall to the left take a another left first door on the right!" The Doctor says quickly, and grabs Spike off of Jack. "Well... Well... Well... If it isn't the famous Ripper himself..." The Doctor says, circling Jack with the Screwdriver pointed at him.
"Yes... I am the Ripper... And who are you?"
"I'm the Doctor."
"Doctor Who?"
"Exactly."
"That's a very odd name."
"You have an odd occupation."
"Oh? And what do you do for a living?"
"Travel. Stop sick, disgusting freaks like you."
"Well, that's not very nice!" Jack lunges at the Doctor, knocking him off his feet, dropping the Screwdriver and hitting his head on the floor. "Huh. With all the stuff you talked about, I thought you would last longer. Oh well." Jack grabs his knife, and creeps towards the Doctor, but is again tackled by Spike.
"Ow! You stupid little kid!" Jack stabs Spike's arm, and pushes him off. "Well, you guys didn't last long. Goodbye." Jack raises his knife over Spike's heart, aiming to kill. Just as he prepares to swing, he is hit full-on by Derpy's body, knocking him over, and also knocking off his hood, revealing his face...
Jack wasn't human. He was a green, slimy alien, with bulging white eyes. If not for the eyes, the Doctor would have said he was a Silurian. Derpy screams audibly, and quickly gets away from the alien. The Doctor, however, approaches him. "Derpy... Spike... Meet Jack the Cuperalla."
"Cuperalla?" Spike and Derpy say in union.
"Cousins to a race known as the Silurians. They inhabited the planet before humans did. Anyway, Jack... What should we do with you?" The Doctor leans close to the Ripper, who swings a punch at the Doctor, but is stopped by Derpy.
"Why did you do it?"
"I was hungry. Searching for the perfect meal. Those women I've killed... They were close, but not quite there. When I smelled the girl in purple, I smelled perfection. I let her chase me until far enough away from you, and then, I got her. Then you came back and ruined everything!" Jack says with a crazy look in his eyes.
"Look, Jack. I can get you to a planet where you can co-exist with another species. All you have to do is agree to change your diet and never do this again." The Doctor says, much like his previous incarnation used to do. Jack thinks this over for a little.
"No."
"Then I'm sorry, Jack." The Doctor rises, and grabs Jack. "I gave you once chance. Now, you're done." The Doctor drags Jack into the TARDIS, and ties him up.
"W-What are you going to do with me?!"
The Doctor doesn't reply as he activates the TARDIS, causing the engines the whir. When they die down, the Doctor grabs Jack yet again. "I'm sorry. I really am." The Doctor says, and opens the doors of the TARDIS, revealing the black void of space.
And Jack the Ripper was never found.
