Above all else

When I woke up from my somewhat pleasant slumber I was in a room with stained glass windows and a giant throne at the end of the hall, weapons still on me.

You know being the only human here you'd thing they would have you strapped down a table ready to cut you open

I took a double take on the room and found that on the other end there were 2 giant doors that looked at least 12 feet tall in comparison to me.

While I was still looking left and right and up and down I didn't notice the giant white pony come from the other end I was looking at. I heard the shoes or whatever it was wearing and turned around quickly to identify the noise.

What I saw was a giant pony that had a horn AND wings on it, also some fancy get up like golden shoes and a tiara placed on her flowing mane. She then spoke in a motherly voice that was pleasant to hear.

Another female

"So you're the one that has been causing trouble lately," she said this in a tone of comfort and not anger like I thought she would.

I was confused and asked her,"you're not angry with me?"

"Why no, why? Should I be?"

"Well no it's just that being the only creature here on this planet I just thought you would be trying to kill me right now."

She chuckled at my statement and continued to speak,"It is true you're the only one of your kind here, but we won't harm you."

"What do you mean by, we?"

And with that six other ponies came into the room.

Oh shit....

What I saw were the same ponies from earlier that tried to kill me, but this time 3 new ponies that I hadn't noticed before were there too. One Pink with a pink mane, another one was white with a rather stylish purple name, the last one was undeniable shy with a coat of yellow and pink mane.

The two ponies I had banged up before had casts on the areas that I had damaged. The cyan one had a cast on her wing and also on her hoof that she so recklessly punched my shield with. The orange one had a bunch of gauze on her left front hoof that I had sliced open.

The white one spoke again,"I believe you owe them an apology for your acts towards them."

"like hell I will! They attacked me!"

"Yes, but was it not you who attacked my student first?"

Student?

I remembered about throwing my javelin at the purple one for means of food. I mentally face palmed myself and then stood there looking at the ground trying to avoid there gaze.

"Im sorry..."

The purple one spoke up.

" what was that?"

She was enjoying this so much

"Im sorry..."

"Still can't hear you."

She now put up a hoof to her ears indicating I wasn't loud enough for her.

"IM SORRY"

They looked phased at first, but then looked at me knowing they had won.

The white one spoke yet again.

"Well now that that's settled I would to introduce myself, I am Princess Celestia."

Oh great royalty

"May I ask what yours is?"

I don't know why, but my gaze instantly went to her ass as I squinted my eyes to look at the tattoo thing on her butt.

She instantly noticed this and covered herself with a wing

"It's not polite to stare."

I was reeled back and then processed what just happened. I looked at a Princess's ass and lived to tell about it.

Thank god

"Oh well its just that the thing on your butt..."

She looked back and saw the thing I was talking about

"Oh this?"

She promptly placed a hoof on her hind quarters

"Yes that.."

"This is my cutie mark."

"A cutie what now?"

"A cutie mark."

She could tell I was hopelessly lost in what she was saying and started to explain.

"Cutie marks are things in this world that help us identify our natural talent. Like mine for example is a sun indicating that I raise the sun everyday."

She said this in a matter-of-fact tone.

"I see..."

"Well now that that is settled won't you please tell us your name."

The seven ponies then moved there heads closer to me thinking I was going to mumble again.

"My name is Nave."

"Do you have a last name?"

"My mentor gave me the last name Valgar, but im not entirely sure."

"What do you mean? Didn't your parents give you a last name?"

I then stared at the floor again remembering that I didn't know my parents.

"Oh.."

She saw that the words "parents" didn't work around me, after a couple of seconds of awkward silence she spoke up again.

"What happened to them?"

"I-I don't know exactly... I grew up with my mentor and he never said anything about my parents. Hell I don't even know if HE knew who they were."

"I see.."

After a few more seconds of more silence the lavender one spoke up.

"Well now that we know your name let us introduce ourselves."

"Im Twilight Sparkle"

The yellow one spoke, but very softly and almost not audible.

"Im Fluttershy"

Cuteness overload

The third one was the white one.

"Hello darling, my name is Rarity."

Oh great a royal wanna-be

The fourth one was the orange one from. I gave her a weak smile as she gave me a glare that screamed "blood will be spilled."

"Im' Applejack"

Farmer/Hillbilly

The fifth one was the cyan winged one that hurt her wing, she too looked pretty pissed. Yet she spoke in a cheerful voice.

"I'm Rainbow Dash, fastest flier in all of Equestria."

So this place is called Equestria huh?

The last one was a pink one that looked more than excited to see me.

"Umm... hi?"

"OHMYGOSHANEWCREATUREICANTWAITTOTHROWAPARTYFORYOUAREYOUFROMSPACEORSOMEWHERELSEIREALLYREALLYWANTTONOWYOUKN-"

She was cut off by Twilight with a hoof in her mouth.

"Please Pinkie Pie don't scare him, even if he did attack us..."

Oh great a grudge holder...

"No its fine she doesn't scare me at all in fact I thing its kind of cute that she enjoys me here."

"Really? Are you serious?"

"Oh course I am"

"Well ok then..."

"Good now what?"

I looked back at Celestia who was watching us the entire time.

"Well now i'd say Its time to go to bed my little ponies."

"What?"

I looked outside to see the moon had already risen and was at its full glory in the night sky.

"how did it get there so fast!?"

"Luna must have done it a little early tonight, but close enough to were no one would notice."

"Wait who is this Luna you speak of?"

"Why she is my sister of course and the Princess of the night."

Double royalty huh?

By the time I was in reality again Twilight and her friends were already leaving saying their goodbyes to the princess and shuffling out the door, I also heard Pinkie shout something on the lines of.

"We'll have that welcoming party sometime soon ok?"

Celestia was standing behind me and then spoke.

"Well now that that is settled won't you please come with me?"

10 Minutes Later

"Nave I have to something to ask you."

"Yes and what would that be?"

"Would you like to see who your parents are?"

"What you can tell me!?"

"Well yes I can If you want me to."

"hmm... I-I'm not sure I want to know who they are... they abandon me when I was just a baby! WHO DOES THAT!?"

My tone started from excited to nervous to anger in about 10 seconds flat. (hehe see what I did there)

"No need to get angry Nave I already know who your parents really are and why they did what they did."

"I'll consider it right now i'm just tired, beating up ponies isn't the easiest thing in the world you know."

She gave a angry glare on the mention of basically beating up her subjects. Hell I couldn't blame her she was just being protective.

"Follow me, you can sleep in one of the guest suites on the top floor. Oh and another thing could you please keep your weapons concealed I don't need one of my guards trying to trample you thinking you're trying to kill me or something absurd."

"Ok, but just for the record I bet I could beat any of them."

She laughed at my remark as we continued towards the top floor.

Guest Suite

Celestia had just left my room and I was now laying on the bed that had much more space than my old bed did.

Yeah the one that's burnt to a crisp

As I lied in the bed I had one thing on my mind and that was should I know who my parents were? Or keep it a mystery?

I thought about this until I drifted off into the sandman's heavenly realm of sleep.
