Above all else

I woke up to the sun shining in my face and the wind coming through the window that was barely open. I looked around expect to find my mentor next to me and shout my name only to remember the events that happened last night.

Oh right...

I walked down to the main throne room to see it being transformed into what looked to be a matrimonial scene. I walked around quickly to find Celestia and to ask to ask what the hell was going on. I spotted her with a quill being levitated by her golden aura and a checklist also levitated in front of her face. I cleared my throat to get her throat to get her attention, many of the ponies were now staring at me wondering what in Equestria I was.

"Why hello, Nave. Nice to see you slept well."

I gave a face that screamed "what are you doing to this place?" She seemed to catch on quite quickly.

"Oh this well you see my Royal Guard Captain is getting married today! Isn't it wonderful!"

The ponies around me were now muttering to each other, I could make out some of the sentences they were saying such as,"what do you think it is?" or, "Is it dangerous?" and also, "does even speak?"

I was getting more frustrated with the ponies around me and also for Celestia forgetting to tell me such an important event.

"I DAMN TOO SPEAK AND WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS EARLIER!?"

"Nave please calm down I didn't tell you yesterday because you said you were tired so I didn't want to try and tell you about this."

I felt a wave of guilt come over me.

"Oh I did say that didn't I..."

My voice died down and the ground suddenly became very interesting. Celestia cleared her throat to get me to look at her.

"Nave now that you are well rested I assume you have an answer to my question I asked you last night?" I looked back up and spoke to her again, "I have been thinking about and... Yes will you please some me?"

She smiled,"Please close your eyes," I did what she told me to and I felt her horn come in contact with my head. I saw a memory unveil inside my brain many people all gathered around a one woman holding a child, but the woman was different from the others, she was... an elf. I also saw a man standing next to her smiling at the child before her. The child was asleep and looked content not giving a care in the world.

My eyes were flooded with light when I opened them and I saw Celestia standing in front of me. I was confused as to why see showed me this.

"Why did you show me this?" She looked surprised at my reaction,"Nave, those were your parents." What she said made me widen my eyes and look at her with a surprised face. "Those were... my parents?" I asked her in a hesitant voice, she nodded. "So i'm an elf?"

"Half elf to be exact, but yes you inherited all the traits your mother had."

"Wait so doesn't that mean I have elven magic within me?" She perked her ears up at my question. "Why... yes that would mean you inherited her magic... hold still for a second." She lowered her head and her horn lit up, then I was veiled in her golden aura.

She took a step back as she stood at attention again when she finished examining me. "Nave... you have... an infinite magic source." I put a smile on my face and then asked her, "well that's good right?" "Yes, but while it is a blessing to have that much magic it is also a curse, that must be took over your body when you got here." I was astounded to here that, "Wait that's what caused me to have all that energy?" "I believe so."

As I was in my thoughts to what she just told me she abruptly started to cloud my thoughts as she spoke,"I also forgot to meant that your father was a well known swordsmen of a land in your world known as Gondor. That might be why you're so good in the art of the spear." I forgot about my thoughts and ran up to her and spoke like a kid who had just received a gift, "My father was a man of Gondor!?" She stepped back when I quickly ran up into her face, "Yes Nave he was."

I couldn't contain my excitement as I jumped in the air, but this time I felt a little more power in my legs as I began to launch off the ground. I almost hit my head on the ceiling that was about 20 feet overhead. Everyone in the room stopped and looked in amazement as I leaped in the air. I mostly got myself off guard when I looked down and saw how high I was. It wasn't long before I came back down and landed on my feet and went into a squat position. I began to stand up and inspect myself.

Not a scratch on me... How in the world did I do that?

"Nave I think the magic is starting to have an affect on your body." She quickly lowered her horn again as she inspected me. She was soon finished and began speaking again, "Nave the magic is starting to run through your body like wildfire!" She quickly ran and picked up a statue with her magic and placed it in front of me. "Try to pick this up." I was hesitant at first, but then thought oh what the hell, might as well try. I placed my hands on the sides and started to push with all my force upward. The statue easily came off the ground without a problem leaving me dumbfounded. As I was still holding the statue I started to talk, "So does this mean i'm some kind of super human?"

Celestia chuckled at my question, "somewhat of one, yes." "What do you mean somewhat of one?" She looked at me with a smile on her face,"well with my training I can show you how to control your magic." I was excited that I could do such things, but didn't want to wait to be able to do them. "Do I really have to?" I then placed the statue back in its previous position. "Unless you can magically learn how to control them in one night yes." I just grumbled at her and looked away.

She then remember what she was going to tell me earlier, "well anyway Nave I already told you about the wedding take place tomorrow, but I forgot to meant the 6 ponies that you... met are coming to this wedding to, so I deeply encourage you to try to get on there good side. Also while you're here come and help me set up for tomorrow."

I happily agreed and then began the to help move things and set things up all with the help of my newly found magic.

I worked and labored myself for about 4 hours before Celestia came back and told everyo- er, everypony to go and have lunch. I was on my way outside too, but was stopped by Celestia's big white hoof, "you can come eat with me if you'd like." I happily agreed and followed her to what seemed to be a dining room with stained glass windows and other fancy things laying here and there.

I sat at the nearest seat next to Celestia and waited for our lunch to arrive. In the that time two new ponies joined us they were shocked to see me at first, but hey who wasn't? There names were princess Cadance and Shining Armor, the ponies that were married tomorrow. They were happy to meet me even though I wasn't one of them I knew I would became great friends with them.

We sat there for almost another 5 minutes or so before another pony came in one with the same coat as Celestia, but had elegantly made blonde hair that draped down his shoulders much like mine, only mine was almost a white color and it had a finely made metal cuff to hold my hair back.

He saw me and I gave him a friendly smile what happened next was unexpected,"My Celestia what IS that THING." I shot him a death glare only to have him give me a more disgusted look. Celestia spoke up before I could say anything, "Hello Blueblood this is Nave, he is a human from another world."

He still looked disgusted at me, "well whatever it is, It's HIDEOUS." I rose from my seat and slammed my hands on the table and stood up, causing him to flinch a little. Celestia put her hoof on me to make me sit back down. "Blueblood I will not have you speak to our guest in such a tone," Celestia said calmly. I reunited my butt with my chair, while Blueblood had his gaze set on me.

I heard a bell signaling the arrival of the food and a couple of unicorns came in and were levitating the plates in the air. They set the plates down, one for each of us, and pulled off the silver dome that covered the plates. My mouth was drooling considering I hadn't had food since yesterday morning and it showed as my stomach started to growl loudly.  "Sorry i'm just a little hungry...."

The domes came off and what was laid on the plates was a variety of plants and vegetables. My once smile turned into disappointment and Blueblood was the first to notice this. "What's wrong peasant? You should be grateful were feeding you."

I just scowled at him and turned to Celestia. "I can't eat this," I simply said. "And why not?" she said confused. "Vegetables are disgusting, I need meat." She was drinking some tea while I said the last sentences and she nearly spit it out as I told her my thoughts. "You eat meat?" She asked in a nervous tone. "Yes, but I don't eat ponies or horse meat. Only chicken, cow, and pig meat."

She breathed a sigh of relief, "well we may have some meat left over from when the griffons came to the council we have every month..." I smiled, "Great! No nasty greens for me~" Celestia rolled her eyes while smiling.

After lunch was over blueblood quickly left and went to where ever ponies like him go, while I on the other hand went to go back to work on the wedding decors.

After hours of lifting heavy objects and jumping to make banners stay in place in high places I was exhausted. My body wasn't used to elven magic yet so it hurt to use it. I simply sat down and looked at the work I had just finished It looked quite nice if you ask me, then again this was a royal wedding. It was already dark and Luna's moon was already high in the sky (something I had learned during lunch). I stood up stretched a little and then proceeded to walk back to the room I was camped in.

I had removed my gear and set it next to me on the floor and quickly got under the heavy blankets. I looked up at the ceiling with my hands behind my head and sat there for a moment pondering what I was going to do tomorrow when the wedding was taking place.

Probably seating in here considering no one has seen me yet

I sat there for a few more minutes before the sandman took me to his heavenly land called sleep.
