It has been 5 years since Naginata saved Scootaloo from the Rainbow Factory and 10 years since he became her father. But Naginata is never the same stallion by night. After quiting his dreaded job in Cloudsdale he decides to try and settle to a quiet life with the mare of his dreams. While tensions are high in Canterlot and the Crystal Empire, Naginata's life will change drastically. When he is recruited by Princess of the Night as her personal guard after an array of assassination attempts how will he fare.
After being sent to help protect Luna, she is sent as the delegate from Canterlot to the Crystal Empire. They will soon find that a conspiracy to over throw Cadence has been brewing. With Shinning Armor out on an excursion, Naginata must request the help of the Mane 6 and a few others to find the conspirators. But will he be able to protect both princesses or will it all go up in flames.
