Flutter Sparkle gave a sigh of bliss as Fluttershy changed her diaper on the changing table in the day care.

It had been about a week since her first visit to the day care and she found visiting the place of likeminded ponies that shared her diaper lifestyle was a nice addition to her daily routine.

Since then she had meet all of Twilight’s friends and had become more comfortable with her diaper dependency than ever before. Bravery and her had become extremely good friends as well, they had both slept over at each other’s houses a few times that week and Flutter found him to almost be like a caretaker to her.

“There we go, all done sweetie.” Said Fluttershy, giving Flutter Sparkle’s diaper a pat to tell her to get up.

“Thank you Fluttershy.” Said Flutter Sparkle, getting down from the changing table and looking around the room to see what to do next. She decided to try the indoor swimming pool out in the room next door.

She had noticed the pool the second day of her visit while walking to the day care room and decided now was as good a time as any to give the pool a try. It was the same as any other pool she had seen before. A large in ground pool with a shallow and deep end, but this one was much more foalish.

Things like tiny animal graphics decorated the walls and the inside of the pool, and pool toys were scattered everywhere. And of course everypony’s butts were adorned in adorable swim diapers with mares sporting pink ones with purple accents and stallions sporting baby blue ones with dark blue accents.

Flutter Sparkle walked over to the locker room that was next to the pool room to get changed into her pool attire. Swim suits, goggles, water wings, rafts, and other pool toys were available to buy here as well as swim diapers were available at a table inside the room with the locker a short walk away to put everypony’s cloths and diapers in while they swam.

Flutter Sparkle walked over to the booth and asked for a pool diaper which, after giving the sales pony her size and two bits, was handed to her with a warm smile appearing upon the purple pony’s face. She reminisced upon her fillyhood of such a thing adorning her flank when she swam as a filly. She also remembered it was the reason she had not gone swimming for a number of years since she had felt so embarrassed about anypony seeing her as she grew older still wearing the things around her waist.

Such a fear though was not felt in Flutter Sparkle’s heart now though as she walked over to an available locker and pulled the key out of the key slot. Opting to diaper herself in the swim diaper instead of having a caretaker put it on her since she had just had a change and did not want to wait in line and have to take longer to start her dip in the pool. She sat down on the bench and untapped her diaper, stepping off the bench and then grabbing the pink, poofy swim diaper and slide it up in-between her hind legs.

Feeling her legs pushed a little farther apart then they were just a few seconds ago, she put her diaper, shirt, and skirt into the locker and locked it with the key, putting the elastic rope the string was attached to around her hoof to hold on to and trotted out into the pool area. She walked over to the ramp that led into the pool and slowly but surely, eased her way into the water.

“This feels so nice.” Thought Flutter as she the water creep over her fur until it reached half way up her body, leaving her back above water and her belly submerged.

She started by lifting her legs up and paddling, getting use to swimming again and finding she was still pretty good despite not doing it for so long. She then went on her back and did some back strokes, enjoying the fluid movement she was making in the water. Other ponies glanced over at her, impressed by her skills at swimming.

“I can’t believe I haven’t done this in so long.” She thought, swimming around the square that was the shallow end of the pool.

She eventually grew tired of her swimming alone and looked over to see her friend Pinkie Pie swimming around as well and decided to paddle over and say hello.

Pinkie was certainly energetic when Flutter has first met her. She had been the most active and juvenile it seemed out of the other adult foals at the day care. Building with blocks and running around playing tag seemed to be her favorite activities.

“Hi Pinkie!” Said Flutter as she approached the pink party pony. She was wearing a one piece swim suit that did a poor job of hiding the bulge of her swim diaper underneath. On the front, her swimsuit said, “Party Princess” in big pink letters, while the rest of the outfit had pink polka dots and had pink frills on her butt all in different shades of pink.

“Hi Flutter! Finally decided to give the pool a try huh?” Said Pinkie.

“Yeah. I wish I tried it sooner. I forgot how fun swimming can be.”

“You know it!” Said Pinkie enthusiastically. “You wanna play Mareco Ponylo with me?”

“Oh yes! I haven’t played that in years!” Said Flutter.

The two adult foals got started, with Pinkie being the seeker and Flutter the swimmer. The two giggled as they played, their swim diapers making it a bit difficult to move around, which only made them giddier.

“Mareco!” Said Pinkie, awaiting Flutter Sparkle’s response.

“Ponylo!” Said Flutter Sparkle.

Pinkie lunged in the direction she heard the voice come from and caught Flutter Sparkle, sending the two ponies under the water, both popping up again moments later in a fit of foalish giggles.

“You’re pretty good at this Flutter. I’m usually able to find most ponies after 3 ponylos.” Said Pinkie Pie.

“Well I was the best at the pool back in Manehattan. Guess I haven’t lost my touch.”

“I’ll say. Hey! You wanna try going off the high dive board? It’s really fun.” Said Pinkie with an excited grin.

Flutter Sparkle looked over at the diving board at the deep end. A few ponies, mostly stallions, were doing tricks in mid air before landing in the water.

She had never gone off a diving board before, preferring more quiet games with friends then ones that involved risk.

“I don’t know Pinkie. It looks really high.” Said Flutter with a slight jitter.

“Please! You’ll love it. I’ll even go first to show you there’s nothing to be scared of.” Said Pinkie with pleading eyes.

Flutter Sparkle sighed. She didn’t want to make her friend sad. Plus maybe it could be fun.

“Well okay, if you say it’s really fun.” She said.

“Yay! Come on then! I’ll race you to the ladder!” Said Pinkie swimming off toward the ramp to get out of the pool with Flutter Sparkle not far behind her.

Upon getting out of the pool Flutter Sparkle was surprised to find that besides the wetness in her diaper from her wetting it a few times, the rest of the diaper had stayed dry inside. Whatever company had designed them had certainly kept an eye on quality as well as looks.

Pinkie and Flutter then continued on toward the ladder of the diving board, waddling all the way there and up the ladder until both ponies stood atop the diving board.

“You just gotta have fun with it. Here, watch me!” Said Pinkie Pie, galloping toward the end of the board and jumping off the end and doing a cannon ball into the pool, making a big splash.

The pink party pony emerged from the water moments later with a bright smile.

“See! Nothing to it! Come on down!” Said Pinkie, swimming over to the side of the pool to allow her friend avid room to do her own stunt.

Flutter Sparkle stood near the ladder, almost debating going back down it and chickening out. It seemed much high on the board and she was a bit scared being up on the board by herself now. But she couldn’t disappoint Pinkie Pie. She was her friend after all.

Closing her eyes, Flutter Sparkle galloped toward the end of the board at full gallop and jumping off, deciding to do a dive like she had seen the adult stallion foals doing earlier. She dove straight down, with both her front hooves together and her forelegs placed above her head. Her elegant form falling into the water with a splash.

Flutter Sparkle then swam to the water’s surface and breathed in fresh air.

“Pinkie was right. That was really fun. Exciting too.” She thought.

Flutter Sparkle’s thoughts were interrupted though by the loud laughing of her friend at the side of the pool who was almost in tears.

“What’s so funny Pinkie?” Asked Flutter Sparkle with a confused look on her face.

“Ha ha, nothing. I just wasn’t expecting to see a full moon in here. And during the day at that!” Said Pinkie, continuing her laughing spree.

“Full moon?” What are you talking abou-” Said Flutter Sparkle as she suddenly realized she felt a complete wetness around her waist and crotch that hadn’t been there before. Upon looking down she found her pink swim diaper was no longer around her bottom and made a startling realization.

Unlike herself the stallions that had been doing dives earlier had swim trunks on over their swim diapers which had prevented them from flying off by having the water pass over their trunks and not inside the waistline of their padding like Flutter’s had.

Without a cover over her diaper the force of the water had been so strong entering the absorbent garment that it had forced it right off her butt and hind legs to be floating next to her in the water.

The other adult foals had taken notice of Flutter’s now bare hindquarters on display for all to see and began laughing along with Pinkie Pie at her predicament.

Flutter Sparkle began to blush bright red at the humiliation she felt with everypony looking and laughing at her. She grabbed her swim diaper and began to try and put it on while in the pool but finding it quite difficult and began struggling trying to get her legs into the holes which only made the other ponies laugh more at here.

“Oh great. Now I’m a big joke. How am I ever gonna come back here again? Everypony will just laugh at me,” She thought, tears starting to well in her eyes. She was about to start full on crying when a voice suddenly rang out through the room.

“Alright everypony give it a rest.” Flutter Sparkle turned around to find Bravery swimming right beside her. He was wearing red swim trunks and had a whistle around his neck.

“Now we all know it’s not nice to laugh at other ponies. You wouldn’t want everypony laughing at you would you?” Asked the stallion to the other swimmers.

“No…” Said the other ponies looking down guiltily.

“That’s right. Now I want you all to apologize to Flutter Sparkle right now ok?” Said Bravery.

“We’re sorry Flutter Sparkle.” Said the other ponies.

Flutter Sparkle blinked the tears out of her eyes and gave a small smile. “It’s ok everypony. It was a little funny.” She said, giggling about how funny she probably looked without a diaper on in a room of otherwise diapered adult foals.

“Alright then. Let’s go get you a new diaper now shall we? Said Bravery, leading her over to a ladder at the side of the pool. The two ponies got out and began walking towards the locker rooms where Flutter Sparkle sat on a bench while Bravery went and got her diaper out of her locker, Flutter Sparkle deciding she had enough swimming for one day.

Bravery dried her up a bit with a towel then lifted her legs up and slide Flutter Sparkle’s diaper under her butt, taking extra care to put baby powder all over her diaper area and bottom before lifting the diaper front between her legs and refastening the tapes, completing Flutter Sparkle’s change back into her thickly padded diapers.

“There ya go. All set cutie.” Said Bravery as he moved off the bench to allow Flutter to sit up and get off the bench herself.

“Thanks Bravery. I really appreciate it.” Said Flutter, the two friends sharing a hug as a show of thanks.

It was at that moment caretaker and adult foal saw Pinkie Pie enter the locker room.

“Hey Flutter. I just wanted to say I’m supper dopper sorry I laughed at ya.” Said Pinkie with a frown on her face.

“That’s alright.” Said Flutter Sparkle. “It was pretty funny actually.”

The friends giggled a bit thinking back to the awkward moment.

“I guess I should look into buying a swim suit next time.” Said Flutter Sparkle.

It was then that the chiming of a clock was heard and the two adult foals and care taker looked at the clock to find that it was now nine pm.

“Looks like it’s time to close up shop.” Said Bravery. “You girls have a good night and I hope to see you both here tomorrow.”

“Good night Bravery!” Said Flutter and Pinkie, both giving the caretaker a hug.

Both ponies went to the locker room to change, Pinkie taking her swim diaper off and depositing it in the waste basket while Flutter Sparkle opted to keep her swim diaper on. It wasn’t wet and she figured she might as well keep it on until she used it instead of wasting it. Plus she did like the color.

The friends then went to their respective lockers to grab their things before hugging goodbye and heading back to their respective homes.

As Flutter Sparkle walked home, she couldn’t help but smile at all her great experiences she’d had over the past couple days. She had made so many new friends and knew she’d likely make more at the day care in time.

Upon arriving home, she made herself a sandwich and walked up to her room to eat it, just realizing she had been so happy she had forgotten to put on her shirt and skirt in the changing room. Instead, she had carried her cloths and regular diaper on her back instead. She had walked the whole way home in just her pink swim diaper. Even stranger, she couldn’t remember anypony giving her strange looks that she had passed on her way home.

As she reached her room she placed the plate with her sandwich on it on her nightstand, laying in bed and picking up her sandwich with her magic and nibbling on it as she reflected upon all this.

Had nopony really noticed her diaper as they walked past her? And how had she forgotten to put her cloths on before leaving daycare?

She had probably been so excited when she was with Pinkie that she had just forgotten to put her cloths on when she was in the locker room, but she was so surprised her inhibitions had not shown themselves to tell her to cover her padded tushie before going out in public. This was all easy for her to understand, but why had nopony else even noticed?

She had to have passed at least a dozen or so ponies on her way home, not to mention Pinkie Pie. Had none of them even noticed her diaper? She thought about each pony she had pasted on the street. None of them even seemed to give her second look. A few had even given her a warm smile and nod as they passed by her.

The thing that seemed to surprise her the most though was that she wasn’t at all embarrassed about what she had done. Before she would’ve been so embarrassed if anypony saw her in her diapers but now she just felt…normal?

The fact that other ponies had seen her padded didn’t seem to bother her in the least. She still felt she should’ve put her cloths on just for normalcy sake but not to cover her padding. Her perception on her cloths had changed from something she used to cover her incontinence to something she just felt looked nice on her.

As she finished her sandwich she gazed out her bedroom window in thought as Celestia’s sun began to set below the horizon.

Being at the daycare had seemed to make her worries disappear about her bladder and bowels. How other ponies felt about her didn’t seem to matter now that she had friends that accepted her for it.

She smiled and chuckled at the situation. Who would’ve thought that all she needed to get over her insecurities would be a group of friends by her side to make her feel self worth? It felt good. Great even.

She knew her new friends would forever be by her side, and she planned to do the same for them. She felt for the first time in her life that anything was possible. All of Equestria was at her hooves with a world of possibilities. And she planned to take advantage of those possibilities.

But not right now. Now the day was over and it was time to go to sleep. But first, a diaper change. She had wet her diaper while she was deep in thought.

She chuckled and she felt her wet padding between her legs. “You’re not going to bother me anymore.” She said with confidence as she got up and went to gather her diaper supplies.

“This must be how other ponies feel.” She thought as she untapped her wet swim diaper and tossed it in the trash. “This must be the true meaning of friendship.” She smiled at this thought and finished diapering herself and headed off to bed, a spring in her step.

Yes after a little over 3 years the final chapter is finished. Believe it or not I wrote different parts of this chapter over those three years. Finding inspiration was very difficult until yesterday when I suddenly figured out how I wanted the story to end in a way I felt made sense. I hope you all enjoyed the ending to Flutter Sparkle’s story.
