Lifting a Soul
Finally Manehattan

"Oh buck, an earthquake!!!" I suddenly yelled as I awaken from sleep. I looked around and noticed that I was still inside the train. "Must have dozed off." I thought to myself. I peeked out of the window beside me. "Train must be going down a rocky path, that must be the reason I yelled that there is an earthquake." I chuckled. I glanced at my other side and saw Amabel. Amabel is still resting her head on my shoulder, and probably asleep. I wrapped my hoof around her. "There, wouldn't want you to fall off my shoulder as we pass the rocky path." I said to her quietly, trying not to wake her up. After the train has passed the rocky path, I slowly raised my hoof off of her. I heard her grunt in disapproval even though she is asleep. "Fine, if you don't want me to remove my hoof." I placed my hoof around her again. After five more minutes, Amabel finally woke up.
"Where am I?" Amabel asked as she raised her head up.
"We're still inside the train." I removed my hoof off of her.
"How long, and are we there yet?" Amabel rubbed her eyes.
"I don't know, and I'm sure we're almost there, just rest for a moment." she nodded. She laid her back on the seat and rested her head on my lap. "That's not what I meant." I rolled my eyes.
"There's no bed in here right?" Amabel gave me a sheepish smile. After a few minutes the train slowly stopped at the train station in Manehattan.
"Amabel, we're here." I said to her. I looked down to her and noticed that she is fast asleep. "Amabel?" I rubbed her belly softly. It made her giggle a bit. "Just wake up already." I sighed. The conductor walked towards us.
"I hope I'm not disturbing the married couple, but the train has already arrived its destination." said by the conductor.
"You got it all wrong." I said to the conductor. "You see we're not-." I looked down to Amabel. Amabel's eyes were open, and it seems like there was tear a forming on it. I turned my attention back to the conductor. "We're still couple." I gave the conductor a sheepish smile.
"Sorry if I were mistaken but please, the train has already arrived." I simply nodded. I looked down to Amabel again.
"Come on Amabel." I said to Amabel. I helped her stood up on the floor. I grabbed my saddle and then checked if there might be something I left before Amabel and I left the train. "Have you ever been in Manehattan before?" I asked her as we walk out of the train station.
"I have, once." Amabel replied.
"Does it include Samphy in it?" I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Not really." Amabel gave me a sheepish smile. I just rolled my eyes. We finally reached the hotel where we are supposed to stay for a night. The hotel isn't really as exclusive as like the hotel me and my friends stayed when we went to Los Pegasus, now that hotel was too extravagant. We walked towards the hotel reception counter. "Can we rent two rooms?" I asked the pony who was handling the hotel receptions.
"Sorry, you two can only share one room since this hotel is filled up because it is Hearth's Warming Eve." the pony replied. I sighed at the answer of the pony.
"Okay then, one room for a day."
"A day will cost you 8 bits." I reached for my saddle and then brought out 8 bits.
"Here." I handed my bits to the pony.
"Room 16 in the second floor." the pony smiled at us. We walked to our room after the pony gave us the key to our room. I opened the room and saw that it was just like a small house. The living room was just in front of us, the bathroom is near the kitchen which is also near the living room and there was a door beside me which is probably the bedroom. I opened the door beside me and saw that the bedroom only has a single bed made for two ponies. Amabel walked slowly to the bed and then laid her back on it.
"Come on Amabel, we are not in Manehattan to just lay our back on the bed." I said to Amabel.
"Just let me rest for a bit, my back hurts." Amabel replied.
"How can you have fun if you only lay yourself on the bed?" I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Well, you can have the ride of your life on me." Amabel gave me a sheepish smile.
"Oh come on, I have big plans for you." I walked towards her.
"I still don't wanna."
"Stop acting like a foal already."
"Just let me rest."
"Don't make me beg." Amabel turned around. "That's it, I'm begging." I stand on my knees. "Come on Amabel." I turned her face towards me. "Please..." I gave her the best sad face I could ever make.
"Okay, fine." she stood up on the floor. "Since you went through all that trouble just for me." she reached her hoof towards me and helped me stood up.
"Of course, I would do that just for you." I said to her with a smile. "Or atleast, because Berry suggested." I thought to myself. We went out of our room and out of the hotel. "Don't worry, you're going to have so much fun, just wait and see." I said to her as we walk down the sidewalk.
