Amica and Mary

As Amabel and I walk down the sidewalk, I could feel a crowd following us. "Looks like we caught some attention." I thought to myself. I glanced over my shoulder as I walk. I saw two mares following us. I moved my muzzle closer to Amabel's ear. "I think those two mares behind us are following us." I whispered to Amabel. Amabel glanced over her shoulder and then stopped. She turned around to face the two mares. She scanned the unicorn and the pegasus mare.

"Is that you Amica and Mary?" she muttered.

"I told you she was Amabel." the unicorn said to the pegasus beside her.

"It has been a long time Amabel." the pegasus said to Amabel with a smile. Amabel hugged the unicorn and the pegasus.

"I missed you girls, so much." said Amabel as she hug the two mares tightly.

"Um... Who are they Amabel?" I asked Amabel. Amabel released from the hug and then faced me.

"These are my two best friends." Amabel dragged me closer to them. "This is Amica." Amabel pointed the pegasus with a whute fur and a violet colored mane and tail. "And this is Mary." Amabel pointed the unicorn with a yellow fur and an orange colored mane and tail.

"Uh... Hi." I waved at the two mare with a sheepish smile on my face.

"Are you Amabel's new coltfriend?" Amica asked. I raised an eyebrow at her. "Oh, Amabel didn't tell you about her old coltfriend?"

"Oh uh, Amabel told me, it is just that-." I gazed at Amabel. I sudden thought of what might be the outcome if I told them that Amabel is not my marefriend. "What I meant to say was yes." I dragged Amabel beside me and then wrapped my hoof around her neck. "I am his coltfriend." I smiled at Amabel. Amabel's face blushed. "Buck, buck, buck, buck, buck." I thought to myself.

"Well, we hope that you would take care of Amabel the right way, unlike the last time." Mary said.

"I can't believe that Samphy could even do that to Amabel." Amica raised her voice.

"Samphy didn't mean to cheat on Amabel, he ju-." I was stopped by the curious look on the three mares faces. "What I meant to say was, why don't you two come along with us so that you could catch up with Amabel." I gave them a sheepish smile. The two mares nodded slowly. I turned my head to Amabel.

"Right..." said Amabel with eyebrow raised.

"Oh, no need, it would be better for the both of you if we stay out of your way." Amica said. Amica faced Mary. Mary nodded.

"If you two are sure." I said to the both of them. "Why don't the both of you come to our Hearth's Warming Eve party so you two could have time to talk to Amabel? And I bet Berry and Enigma would love to meet the both of you." I smiled at the two mares.

"Sure, where is it gonna be held?" Mary asked.

"At my house, on Ponyville, Amabel and I will be leaving Manehattan tomorrow morning, you two could come along." I replied.

"Sorry, we can't, but you could just meet us at the Ponyville train station at 5:00 P.M." Mary smiled at us.

"Okay then, meet you at the Ponyville train station tomorrow in the afternoon." I shook hands with the two mares.

"See you both tomorrow." they both said in unison as they walk away. We waved at the two mare, walking away. I faced Amabel.

"How long was the last time you saw your friends?" I asked Amabel.

"Seven months." Amabel replied without facing me.

"Well, now that's done, we should now go to the amusement park." I wrapped my hoof around Amabel's neck.

"Hey Pico." I raised an eyebrow at her. "Is it true that you are my coltfriend?"

"Uh..." I felt my self sweating. "Think Pico, think." I thought to myself. "Yes..." I said to her with a sheepish smile. Amabel faced me and then gave me a smile.

"Okay then, lets go to the amusement park." Amabel grabbed on to my right front leg. I nodded.

"How could I escape this after Hearth's Warming Eve?" I said timidly to myself.

"What did you say?"

"I said that we should head to the amusement park because I think it is already at four." I scratched my head with my other hoof. Amabel nodded. We turned around and then walked down the sidewalk like a couple. "Not a couple." I thought to myself.
