I'll Comfort You

After walking down the street for only a minute, I felt like all of my energy has been drained, even though I only sat on the bench of the train the whole morning. "Thank Celestia, I'm finally back at my own house." I muttered as I opened the door of my house. "Home swe-." I trailed off as soon as I saw how messy my home was. Empty canned drinks at the coffee table, couch stained with drinks and some chairs at the kitchen has been brought to the living room. I saw all of my friends in front of me, staring at me blankly.

"Looks like Pico went home earlier than expected." said Berry as he walked up to me with a sheepish smile. "So..." Berry rolled his eyes. "How was the trip?"

"Did you bought something for us?" Cool Joe asked as he jumped out behind my friends, causing his sunglasses to bounce of a bit, showing a bit of his eyes. I have never seen Cool Joe's eyes before, heck, I even tried to lift his sunglasses up when he was sleeping after our last Heart's Warming Eve party, but I still didn't get to see what his eye color is. Must be classified. Now back to the story. I could see Cool Joe's face with a hint of pride on it. All of us gazed at Cool Joe. "I guess not..." Cool Joe slowly backed away with a sheepish smile. I returned my gaze back to Berry.

"I thought I told you to prepare my house for the Heart's Warming Eve party?" I asked Berry.

"Well I told Cool Joe, Quick Write and Enigma that you will be gone for a whole day, and Cool Joe here." Berry pointed to Cool Joe as he reasoned with me. Enigma and Quick Write moved aside to show the hiding Cool Joe behind them. "Thought that it might be a great opportunity for a party."

"This isn't really helping me." I facehoofed myself. Amabel walked up beside me, pushing Berry out of the way.

"You've been standing at the door for a half a minute, what's the problem?" Amabel asked.

"Just some friendly problems." I replied as I rubbed my temples in a circular motion, hoping that the headache that I suddenly felt would go away. Amabel faced my friends.

"Oh, you must be Pico's friends." Amabel smiled at my friends. All of my friends, except Berry, jaws dropped. Amabel tilted her head. "Is there something I said?" Amabel raised her eyebrows.

"They're always like that when they see new things in there eyes." I smirked.

"So they haven't seen a mare yet?" Amabel chuckled.

"What I meant to say was, that they haven't seen me with a mare. Except the time when they took a photo of me with my mother on our graduation day." I walked towards my friends. "Excuse me guys, I'm guessing that Berry told you I am gone for a whole day but didn't told you who I am going with." the three of them nodded. I glanced over my shoulder to look at Berry. Berry just gave me a sheepish smile. I returned my gaze back to my three friends in front of me. "I'll tell you all about it after I have rested, since It has been a long day."

"Don't you mean, a long night?" Berry asked, accompanied by a small chuckling. I glanced over my shoulder again to look at Berry.

"Don't think that I would be forgetting about this." I warned him. Berry nodded with a grin on his face. I pushed my friends on to my sides because they are blocking the stairs. Hearing the stairs creak as I walk upstairs gave me a bit of a headache, which slowed me down. After that I finally went inside of my bedroom, walked slowly towards the bed and then threw myself on the bed. I felt so relaxed, planting my face on the sweet, soft bed. I suddenly heard several knocks on the door. "Come in!" I yelled without even bothering to lift my head up. I heard the door open and some hoovesteps moving towards me. I glanced slowly behind me and saw Amabel.

"Don't worry about your friends Pico, they said that they will clean it up." Amabel said with a smile.

"If only you know my friends." I said in my thoughts.

Meanwhile downstairs

"Okay, okay... Here it goes." Berry said as he prepared himself to throw the can into the bin, which Enigma is raising up in mid air. "And then he shoots." Berry threw the can and it went inside of the bin.

"Goal!!!" Cool Joe and Enigma yelled in unison.

"Not bad..." Quick Write muttered. "Now watch this." Quick Write picked up a can on top of the coffee table and then distanced himself away from the bin. "One... Two... Three..." at the count of three, Quick Write threw the can and hit Enigma on the head, which caused Enigma to fall on the floor. "That was a nice shot." Quick Write gave a sheepish smile.

"Looks like you should stick back to those pencils." Cool Joe said while chuckling.

"I meant to hit Enigma's head." Quick Write protested.

"Yeah well whatever dude." Cool Joe walked towards Enigma. "Looks like you hit him pretty hard." Cool Joe poked the spot where the can hit the now sleeping Enigma.

Back upstairs

"I guess so, but I knew they would clean it up." Amabel said as she sat on the bed beside me. "You told me that you're gonna show me some of your pictures when you were still a colt." Amabel scratched my backside.

"Just let me rest for a bit, I'm still tired." I muttered, still not raising my head up.

"Oh come on, you didn't let me rest on Manehattan. So it is time for you to repay me." Amabel pushed me off the bed. I fell down on the floor onto my backside with a loud thud.

"Okay fine." I stood up. Amabel smiled at me. "Just go get the picture above my cabinet." I pointed the cabinet. She nodded and then trotted towards it. I laid my back down onto the bed again. I sighed for a moment, trying to get some air. After a few seconds, Amabel returned with an album. "Lay your back down beside me." Amabel passed me the book as she tried to make herself feel comfortable beside me. I gave the book a blow to remove some of the dust. "You ready?"

"Sure." I opened the album. On the first page revealed some pictures of me when I was still a foal. "You're so cute when you were still a foal." Amabel cooed. She took her time on analyzing the pictures before moving onto the next page. A certain picture quickly captures her attention. "Who is this?" she pointed a picture of me with a colt beside me. A colt with green eyes, green mane and tail, with a brown colored fur.

"That's my brother." I murmured.

"What's his name?" Amabel grabbed the album and then scanned through the pages, hoping to see more pictures of him.

"I don't know." I grabbed the album away from Amabel and then flipped it back to the second page. "I have never asked my mother what his name is. When I was still a colt, I got separated away from my brother." I touched the picture of me with my brother, smiling in front of the camera.

"What happened?"

"After I finally had a brain to think, I always asked my mother if she knows where my father and my brother is. All she replied to me was that they had been in a horrible accident as they rode a carriage." a tear started to form on my eyes. "After what she had told me, I studied hard to show that even without my father... I could... I could..." I tried to hold my tears from falling off of my eyes. "To show ponies that I could stand on my own hooves without any father." I couldn't hold my tears that time anymore, so streams of tears ran down to my cheeks. "I didn't care about my brother as much as my father. All I ever asked that time was what kind of father was he, and surely he replies with the word good, caring and a nice stallion."

"Then your father must be a really nice stallion then." Amabel wiped my tears away.

"No, you're wrong." Amabel raised her eyebrow. "Before my mother passed away, that time is after I have graduated college. She told me the true story about the lost of my father and my brother. She told me that my father left me with my mother after they have fought about my father, sleeping with another mare. My father took my brother with him, and then left us. Before I could even ask my mother what my brother's name was... She... She... She pas-passed out." I gave Amabel the album and then covered my face with my front hooves. She laid the book beside her and then she comforted me.

"Don't be sad. Without this happening, you could have not reached this far." she whispered to my ears. I removed my front hooves away from my face and then stared into her eyes. I quickly gave Amabel a kiss, and it was the deepest one I could ever give to her. I know now that she is the one who could make me happy, the one who would comfort me. I placed my front hooves behind her neck. I forced my tongue inside of her mouth, trying to explore her mouth deeper. I felt the pain in my heart, slowly fading away. I needed all the comfort that I could get from her. After a minute of tongue fighting, we both released from the kiss. A trail of saliva connected from my muzzle to her muzzle.

"I want to forget about my pain." I whispered to her.

"I'll take care of it." Amabel nuzzled me and then flipped the blanket over, covering both of us. Hiding our next actions to the eyes of the world, specially the readers.
