Despite knowing that nothing ever would obviously help her move on from her loss, Pinkie decided to let her friend, Dash give a try anyway to bring the smiles and giggles back in her because she got to admit that it isn't really fun being sad all the time.

"What do you want to do, Rainbow?" she sniffled as she blew her nose for the second time.

"First of all, you need to eat, Pinks. You are nothing but skin and bones. You need to have some meat in ya; and sweets ain't gonna help with your appetite this time." she replied with a serious look on her face.

"If you say so." Pinkie didn't argue back. She was too exhausted and sad to even argue about anything. Rainbow led Pinkie out of her room which was the first time in months since she got out of the place. As the two friends went downstairs, the Cakes looked at Rainbow Dash in awe as the pink pony was right by her side, despite her hair still deflated and droopy.

"Oh my gosh! You coaxed Pinkie out of her room! How did you do that?" Mrs. Cake asked in astonishment.

Rainbow Dash shrugged. "I don't know, probably cause I'm too awesome? I"m just kidding, Mrs. Cake. I took Pinkie out of her room to take her out to eat since she haven't been eating anything lately." she finished with a sound of worry in her voice as she glanced at Pinkie's frail skinny body. The Cakes seemed to notice that as well.

"That's good to hear, Rainbow. Pinkie really needs to eat since she hasn't been eating any of the food I keep giving her." said Mrs. Cake worriedly.

"We'll be right back, c'mon Pinks." For the first time ever in a couple months after Gummy's death, Pinkie Pie stepped foot outside of the Sugarcube Corner.

"Whatcha wanna eat Pinks?" asked Dash.

"I really don't know......hay?" the pink pony replied hesitantly.

"Well then, hay it is. We can go to Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack has a bunch of hay besides apples."

As Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were on their way to Sweet Apple Acres, ponies were staring at them as if they were some foreign, extraterrestrial aliens from space. Some looked shocked, while some looked happy while some looked compassionate.

"Hey, Pinkie Pie." said a pony.

"You're finally out of Sugarcube Corner after all those months." said another.

"I'm really sorry for your loss. I hope you feel better soon. We will all be waiting for your smiles and giggles to return to you in no time!" said another one.

Pinkie gave everypony a small genuine smile and thanked them for their understanding and compassion.

"It really means alot to me, everypony. Hopefully I can move on from my loss.." Pinkie trailed off as doubt flooded her mind whether if she can do it or not. Oh poor Pinks.

Anyways, Pinkie and Dash finally made it to Sweet Apple Acres so that she can eat something which is hay.

"Hey Applejack!" she called for the rodeo pony as she was nowhere to be seen.

Just in a flash, an orange pony with blonde hair and a cowboy hat popped outta nowhere.

"Howdy do, Rainbow Dash!" she said, her Southern accent slipping in as usual.

When she noticed Pinkie was outside for the first time in months, AJ couldn't help but feel overjoyed about it.

"Long time, no see Pinks." she smiled warmly and then that smile turned to a sad frown when she noticed Pinkie's awful state.. "Man, you look horrible like a little ole frail rat, sugarcube. You need to have some food in your system and I have just the thing!" she added as a light bulb with ideas popped up from her head. She walked back into the barn for something while the 2 ponies waited. A minute later, Applejack came back with a wheelbarrow full of hay of all kinds. Yellow, chocolate, apple-flavored and plenty more but mostly it was yellow.

"Damn, AJ! You have alot of hay!" Rainbow Dash squeaked in astonishment.

AJ chuckled. "Of course, Captain Obvious. I do live in a farm ya know."

"Oh, I forgot." Rainbow Dash felt really stupid after that realization.

"Enough chit-chat! Dig in, sugarcube!" AJ turned to Pinkie as she beckoned her to come.

With no hesitation, Pinkie gulped down on the hay like a bear wolfing down on a bunch of salmon.

Fortunately, after all the hay got into her system, Pinkie's mane and coat had slowly turned brighter. It wasn't really bright enough like the normal color she was but it was getting there. Dash and AJ grinned with hope knowing that Pinkie will soon get back to her normal self.

"Thanks for the hay AJ!" Pinkie smiled as parts of her had begun to puff up a little bit. "It's so good! I was starving!"

"Anytime, Pinks. I would do anything to help you get better again." she said warmly as she patted the pink pony on the shoulder.

Pinkie giggled as her color kept turning brighter bit by bit.

After lunchtime at Sweet Apple Acres, Rainbow Dash decided to take Pinkie Pie to Cloudsdale as she gave her a pegasus pony ride up to the sky for a nice view of Ponyville. She was a little heavy, according to Dash but she really didn't care. She flew her to certain places that earth ponies never knew about which fascinated the pink pony. Then Dash took her to Winsome Falls for relaxation and view of the rainbow waterfalls as she flew through the falls.

"Oh my gosh, Dashie!" Pinkie cried excitedly as she gazed at the falls in wonder and excitement. "They're soooo beautiful!" she giggled as her color rapidly gotten even more brighter and her hair puffing up like crazy until the sparkles in her eyes have now gotten back to where they were.

"I know right?" Dash beamed as she halted. Pinkie hopped off her back and began hopping around the wonders of Winsome falls.

"Pinkie Pie! You're better!" Dash cried excitedly as she saw Pinkie's happy and joyful nature have returned to her.

Pinkie grinned. "You bet it did!" she giggled. "Thanks so much for being there for me and helping me, Dashie. It really means alot." she said as she pulled Rainbow in for a hug and planted a friendly kiss on her cheek for appreciation.

Rainbow blushed. "Ah, it's nothing Pinks. I just want you to feel happy again and move on from Gum..." she stopped herself realizing that Pinkie might probably not have gotten over Gummy yet.

Pinkie's ears started to droop a bit.

"Please don't go back to that state again, Pinks. We don't like seeing you like this, I want you happy again. I know Gummy was really important to you but remember what I said back at Sugarcube Corner?" she pleaded hopefully as she looked at Pinkie in the eyes, hoping that the sparkles wouldn't disappear again. "And I'll help you move on from Gummy."

Instead of going back to the depression state, Pinkie instead gave Dash a genuine smile.

"Aw, Dashie. I already moved on from Gummy even though I really miss him."

Dash's ears perked in shock. "Really?!"

"Yup!" she beamed. "You hung out with me, showed me all these cool things and it made me forget everything about Gummy. You did everything you can to help cheer me up and move on from Gummy. It really means alot to me, Dashie. That's what I like about you, that you keep on trying and trying which is what you did!"

Dash couldn't help but feel a little heat of red puffing up her cheeks as she smiled sheepishly.

"Ah shucks, Pinks. You really know how to make me blush like crazy." She giggled. "And well that's awesome! From now on, whenever you need anything, just come tell me. I'll be here to help you get through it." she winked.

"That's a deal! Cross my heart and hope to die! Stick a cupcake in eye!" Pinkie did her little pinkie swear which was the most adorable thing ever according to Dash.

"Tell ya what?" Dash smirked with a flame of competition in her eyes. "How about I race ya to the nearest waterful? whoever gets there first, wins!"

"Okey dokey lokey!" Pinkie chirped cheerfully as she began to sprint.

Dash flew past her leaving behind her signature rainbow streaks. As she flew, she suddenly began to have thoughts and goosebumps about the pink mare. Throughout her day with her, Dash couldn't help but feel protective and loving towards her more than a friend would do. When Pinkie's sparkles and giggles starts to get back in her, Dash felt a bunch of butterflies in her tummy and joy in her mind because she was the one who brought them back to the pink pony. When she looked at Pinkie Pie deeply in the eyes earlier, she literally got lost them as these new feelings of a possible love for the pony begins to develop.
