Loneliness

Previous ChapterNext ChapterYou finally manage to crawl your way up to the very top of the staircase. Apparently this was the most you've ever been tired in all your life, despite how fit you are. You collapse onto your back with a flop.
"Yeah! -pant- I have -pant- climbed every -pant- single -pant- one of you bastards!" You cheer about your recent victory against the stairs, gasping for air. It was quite the victory, but it cost you dearly.
After you've quickly recovered from your small rest, your attention is brought to Celestia's door. You catch a second wind as anxiety and fear wash over you. You're reminded of Celestia's rumored condition, estrus. Apparently it makes a mare really needy.
If she was really in heat and craving meat, wouldn't she just ask a guard. Or a suitor for that matter?
You giggle at your innuendo, but its humor dies quickly as you reluctantly raise your shaky hand and knock on the door. You hear a small gasp and a door closing. Your curiosity is stirred.
"Princess Celestia, is everything alright?" You ask her, making no attempt to hide any affection and fear in your voice.
"Hmm? Oh yes! Everything is just fine!" She calls you by name. "Please come in!"
Something doesn't sound right about her voice. You enter Celestia's chambers. They're empty. Your heartbeat is beginning to rise. You cry out for Celestia. The fear in your voice is thick even you can hear it.
"In the...bathroom. Don't fret!"
There were several flashes of light coming from the bathroom, combined with the jingle of unicorn magic at work. You tilt your head with curiosity and walk toward the bathroom door. You hear Celestia growling in frustration behind the door.
"Celestia, should I come by tomorrow?"
"No. You're...here now! Took you long...enough to get here...why bother going back down?"
The long pauses Celestia was taking had your suspicions aroused and your curiosity dying to know what laid beyond that door. Your instincts told you not to open that door. Your conflicting emotions eventually bear down on you.
"Celestia, do you need my help with anything?" You ask her. While your not in any position to do any lifting you want to help your princess with, whatever she is doing.
"Actually..." Another flash of light, Celestia curses and her voice reverberates in the bathroom. "You can help me, just stand out there and think of a human female!"
You take a step back, mostly in confusion. You have a couple of thoughts for why Celestia would need something like an image of a girl. You naturally ask her why.
"Reference material..." Another flash of light in the bathroom. "It would help out a lot!"
You're not one to disobey royalty, so you think of a female. She isn't anything special, just a generic human girl. Pink shirt, blue dress and blonde hair in pig-tails.
"Got something?" Celestia yells through the bathroom door. You reply with an "Uh-huh."
The familiar jingle of unicorn magic fills the air and a weird sensation occurs. It feels like something is inside your head, crawling around looking for something. It is very uncomfortable and somewhat painful. You make a few grunts in pain and clutch your head. The sensation ends and your senses slowly come back to you. Celestia speaks to you again but her voice is muffled by the ringing in your ears.
"That female wasn't good enough, she needs more...features." Celestia repeats to you. Her voice sounded slightly annoyed. You aren't sure what she meant by 'more features.' You think of another girl. Much more different than the previous one.
"Alright Princess, I think I've got one this time."
You brace yourself for the sensation of what can only be mind-reading. The jingle of unicorn magic rings again and the sensation returns, though its more careful and less painful now. Celestia must've remembered where to look in your brain. She let's out an impatient growl.
"This'll never do. Time to do it my way. Brace yourself, this may sting a little."
You were caught off guard by the sudden stop in the sensation but it returns yet again however, Celestia is showing less care this time and is salvaging your brain for whatever she is looking for. You yelp twice in pain, clutch your head and fall to your knees. The way comic books depicted mind-reading was much more preferable than this way.
Celestia continues to dig around in your brain via mind reading spell. She searches every nook and cranny inside your mind trying to find whatever she is trying to find. Celestia stops searching and brings up an image of a human female. It's not one that you thought she would need and the fact that she can force you to think about stuff was somewhat disturbing. The image of the female that Celestia forced you to think was even more so. You occasionally thought about it when you got lonely.
"This is what I was looking for!" Celestia exclaims. You swallow hard and all the blood drains from your face.
The hum of unicorn magic gets louder and a sustained flash of bright light through crevasses in the door's structure forces you to cover your eyes. The bathroom door begins to open.
