Trixie's Uprising

Out Cold

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

I ran my hooves under the cold water of the sink. Whispers flooded my ears, but all I heard were faint whispers. This spiked my curiosity. As do, I have a problem with just letting mysterious things go. I left the sink water running for less suspicion and trotted over to the side of the stall, standing on two hooves to make sure I wasn’t seen. I gulped in a deep breath to hold myself in as tight as possible.

Words slowly became clearer with every second of air released. My lungs felt like a vacuumed sac, like those cleaning bags. My head swam, but I hear the words now.

“That was a close one!” Spoke softly a familiar voice.

My curiosity now was now its peak; I didn’t know who, but I could hear movement of eight hooves. There were two ponies in the stall. Now I HAD to know what was going on.

“I can’t believe that stupid Trixie filly actually fell for it!” Another voice said snidely.

“GASP!” Slipped out of my muzzle, as I realized who those ponies were now…

Just then, I heard a loud “POP”, everything slowed down… as if time itself was bending to match the rhythm of my heart beat… I felt so… relaxed?

Suddenly a burst of colorful light surged into my eyes. Rainbow spectrums blinding me, but yet I insisted to purge forward.

I tried to move forward, but I wasn’t in control. A shivered ran down my spine, and moved my front hoof to see it so it would reassure me that this was reality.

Stunned, I couldn’t move at all! I was in utter darkness, nothing like reality at all.

Time shifting, light bending, no movement, and worst yet, has just begun. A film of color and shapes danced all over my field of vision, and then they all connected. They formed an image.

The image was me. Only I wasn’t me, I was younger me. Then, everything played, like a movie clip. I could tell where I was!

I was right in the animal control vehicle, and then a shard of pain shook through my hind leg…

Memory slowly fading back to me, I realize I had just rammed into the cage locket. My vision scanned randomly, but I couldn’t control it.

My vision slowly gazed upon my cannon, covered in blood and still to be known a long cylinder with a brownish tint. My coat spread swelling around the open wound.

Uncontrollably my gaze fell to the cage door. My vision slowly dissolved, like mist breaking apart.

Suddenly, like as if I was torn from space and placed in a new area, I found myself leaning on an old building.

It was dark out and the chill of the humid night made my coat matted and damp. It was so cold... so unbearably cold. Yet, my hind leg was on fire with a burning sensation of immense pain.

Without my permission my young body stammered and limped down the alley.

It looked familiar… I just… couldn’t put my hoof on it. The pain kept stinging, but I couldn’t turn my head to look or cry out, I just had to suffer…

The night chill breezed through my mane. It felt amazing, but the nagging pain in my leg kept making me lose focus.

I just wanted to drop on the stone brick road and curl up and die.

I limped to a dumpster, and leaned on it, relaxing my body. The cold metal of the dumpster cooled my body, but my leg still felt hot.

I started trotting toward a place that would be fit to sleep at. My eyelids felt like the sandpony gave no mercy.

I slowly inched closer to an alley with a load of garbage bags that looked like a really good pillow.

Suddenly my leg caved in, though I wasn’t actually in my past life, I felt the pain.

I wanted to scream my lungs out, but of course my luck would be that the animal control car would have came back and found I had fell out of my crate.

Soon after I scrambled onto my hooves, my body got unusually hot.

I was burning up all over my body, the pain was gone, but the surge of hotness was unspeakable.

My stomach started rumbling, and well… I won’t speak of what happened next…

The smell was awful, like a rotten apple… avoiding the smell, I found a nice shell of bags. I hesitated, but then found a comfy spot.

I limped up the mountain of garbage bags, and triumphantly sat on the softest looking bag. Oddly, it smelt really good. For once I thought I understood clean freaks.

I stretched my horrifyingly leg out to rest on a broken bench. It felt great to rest my leg, but I couldn’t stay awake long…

Slowly my eyelids closed and I was into the sleep realm… Though I wasn’t in control of my young body, I just stared into empty darkness.

For what seemed like eternity, I finally awoke.

Even though I was a street pony, sleeping on a pile of bags, I felt great when I woke up.

I just realized that my leg didn’t hurt anymore. I did a quick 360 scan around.

Sure enough; was not where I fell asleep at! I was in a alley, yes, but I wasn’t where I really was… I was on the stone right next to a wooden fence.

Something tugged my flank! I jumped backwards to see the mysterious tug.

… Nothing was behind me. I thought maybe I’m going insane?

I did another look around, but only found a dumpster, and a crate as well as an opening to escape to if I needed.

I waited a few more seconds… Nothing.

Then I realized I was weighed down, but it was hard to tell because I was still sitting. I scanned my head to look down from my shoulders to my plot…

I was wearing a purple cape. Though it did look nice, I quickly took it off. Holding the cape with two hooves, I pulled it into my vision. I followed every crease and fold on it, then I stumbled into a yellow slip of paper.

I literally jumped up, and for a split second, I swear I tasted a cloud.

I fell back to where I was, but it looked only an inch or two away from where I launched. Something wasn’t right… I was standing fine on my bad leg.

I stiffened myself and turned to look at my blue tinted leg. Everything was the same before the time I pushed it hard in the wrong way in that animal control truck.

This broke my tiny heart, to know I looked so much like a rat fest that animal control took me in.

My leg was pristine and better than before! Actually, come to think of it, my leg looked clean… I checked the rest of my body. All of it was clean, even my blue-purple mane. I looked like an actual pony again! I jumped with joy this time.

Though I may have looked like a fool, I literally beamed with glee. This was the first time I have ever seen myself as a filly without dirt, or grim on me.

I settled down after about three minutes of just playing around with my clean body.

I got really close to the note, but I already knew I couldn’t read. Now I know what it means,

But the symbols back then I described as “Celestia has answered your prayers.”

I pulled the cape back to me and put it back on; I thought at least this will give me warmth.
