Harry Potter: Into Darkness Part 3

The students and staff of Hogwarts stood nervously in the room. Severus Snape then walked in with Mayu Cantina trailing behind him. Maya stood near the window behind the table and Snape stood at the edge of the platform at looked at the students and staff before him.

“Many of you are surely wondering why I have summoned you at this hour. It has come to my attention that earlier today, Harry Potter was sighted here in this castle.” Snape said “Now, should anyone…student or staff attempt to aid Mr. Potter…they will be punished in a manner consistent of their transgression. Furthermore, any person found to have knowledge of these events who fails to come forward will be treated as equally guilty.” he then began to walk down the row of silent people “Now then, if anyone here has any knowledge of Mr. Potter’s movements this evening…I invite them to step forward. Now.”

Nothing happened. Suddenly Harry stepped forward from the crowd which caused some to gasp.

“It seems, despite your precautions, you have a bit of a security problem headmaster.” he said.

With that, Ron, Hermione, the ponies, Madeline, Jennifer, John, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Tonks, Lupin, Remus, Fred and George Weasley, Rosie Karenina, Catalonia Phoenix, Aberforth Dumbledore and Wilson Samara walked in.

“How dare you stand where he stood?!” Harry continued “Tell them! Tell everyone! Tell them how it happened that night! How you looked him in the eye, a man who trusted you, and killed him!”

Snape pulled out his wand. The students and staff backed against the wall but Minerva McGonagall pushed Harry out of the way. Minerva and Snape stared at one another then Minerva fired fire spells but Snape dodged all of them. Mayu took this opportunity to escape in a plume of smoke. She shattered the window and as Snape dodged Minerva’s last fire spell he followed after Mayu in his own plume of smoke.

Everyone cheered happily and clapped as Minerva walked to Harry.

“I presume you have a reason for returning Potter, what is it you need?” she asked.

“Time, professor.” Harry said “As much as you can give me.”

“Do what you have to do.” Minerva said “I’ll secure the castle.”

Harry turned to walk away.

“Potter.” Minerva said.

Harry turned to her.

“It’s good to see you.” Minerva said.

Harry smiled. “You too, professor.” he then walked up to Neville “Hold the fort down, Neville.”

“Aye.” Neville said.

Students chattered to each other as they ran up and down the stairs. Harry ran up them.

“Harry!” Ron yelled.

Harry turned to see Ron and Hermione.

“Hermione and I have been thinking.” Ron said “It doesn’t matter if we find a Horcrux.”

“What do you mean?” Harry asked.

“Unless we can destroy it.” Hermione replied.

“So, we were thinking…” Ron said.

“Well Ron was thinking.” Hermione said “It was Ron’s idea. It was completely brilliant.”

“You destroyed Tom Riddles’ diary with a Basilisks fang right?” Ron asked.

Harry nodded.

“Well, Hermione and I think we know where we might find one.” Ron continued.

“Okay, but take this.” Harry said handing them a map of Hogwarts “So you can find me when you get back.”

“Where are you going?” Hermione asked.

“To look for the diadem!” Harry responded walking up the stairs.

Ron and Hermione looked at each other then walked away. Luna Lovegood, however, saw Harry run up the stairs and follow after him.

“Harry! Harry!” she called out.

“So, let me get this straight, professor” Neville said walking beside Madeline, Minerva and Fillius Flitwick with Ginny, Lavender Brown, Colin Creevey and Catalonia Phoenix “you’re actually giving us permission to do this?”

“That is correct, Longbottom.” Minerva replied.

“To destroy the bridge? To blow it up? Boom?” Neville asked.

“Boom!” Minerva replied.

“Wicked.” Neville said “How are we going to do that?”

“Why don’t ask professor Phoenix” Minerva replied “As I understand she is well acquainted with both fire and explosives.”

“I can bring it down!” Catalonia said.

“That’s the spirit! Now go.” Minerva said.

Ginny, Neville, Colin, Lavender and Catalonia ran to the direction of the back bridge leaving Minerva, Madeline and Fillius on the stairs that led to the courtyard.

“You do realize, of course, we can’t keep out Voldemort forever?” Fillius asked.

“That doesn’t mean we can’t delay him.” Minerva said.

“What are you going to do?” Madeline asked.

“You’ll see, Miss Jones.” Minerva replied.

Minerva turned and recited a spell. Suddenly the statues around Hogwarts fell from their places and became alive. They then began marching towards the main bridge.

“Hogwarts is threatened!” she ordered “Man the boundaries! Protect us! Do your duty to our school!”

The statues walked across the courtyard and to the bridge. Madeline stood completely astonished.

“I’ve always wanted to use that spell.” Minerva laughed.

“I-I can see that.” Madeline said still astonished.

Fillius Flitwick joined is fellow professors in the courtyard. They held their wands up high and began reciting spells. Twilight and Rarity nodded to each other and held their heads up and magic flew out of their horns and joined the wizards magic.

They were creating a shield.

The shield formed in no time and encompassed the entirety of Hogwarts (which was at least the size of a small town). Everyone then got to their positions and waited for the impending battle.

Harry ran up the empty staircase of the tower. Luna Lovegood was not far behind.

“Harry!” she called out “Wait! I need to talk to you!”

“I’m a bit preoccupied at the moment.” Harry said.

“You won’t find it where you’re going.” Luna said “You’re wasting you’re time!”

“Well talk later. Okay Luna?” Harry said.

“Harry!” Luna said.

“Not now!” Harry said.

“Harry Potter, listen to me!” Luna ordered.

Harry turned and looked at her.

“Remember what Cho said?” she said “‘No one alive has seen it.’” Isn’t it obvious? We need to talk with someone whose dead.”

Harry blinked in surprise and then noticed the blue glow of the shield. He walked up to the window and Luna stood beside him.

“Impressive, isn’t it?” she asked.

Harry nodded and turned to Luna.

“Alright, how do we do it?” Harry asked.

“Follow me.” Luna said up the staircase.

Harry followed. She led through a door to a walkway that overlooked the side of Hogwarts.

“I think it’s best you talk alone.” she said walking away “She’s very shy.”

Harry walked through the courtyard then found a secluded part of it. The ghost of Helena Ravenclaw turned to see him. He blinked to make sure he wasn’t taking drugs.

“The Grey Lady.” Harry said “The ghost of Ravenclaw tower?”

“I do not answer to that name.” Helena said flying away to another corner.

“I’m sorry! It’s Helena, isn’t it?” Harry asked “Helena Ravenclaw.”

“Are you a friend of Luna’s?” Helena asked.

“Yes.” Harry replied “She thought you might be able to help me.”

“You seek my mother’s diadem.” Helena said.

“Yeah.” Harry said.

“Luna is kind. Unlike so many of the others.” Helena said “But she was wrong. I cannot help you.”

She then flew to the window and gazed at the sky.

“No! Wait! Please!” Harry yelled as he ran after her “I want to destroy it!”

Helena’s face turned to concern.

Voldemort stared over the cliff ledge, Bellatrix at his right side, Chrysalis to his left. His vast army of Death Eaters stood behind him. They were 2,000 strong with Chrysalis and her 200 Changelings. He smiled wickedly. He chuckled as he gazed upon the school.

“They never learn.” he said “Such a pity.”

“My lord” Jack said “Shouldn’t we wait?”

Voldemort turned and stared at the man and nodded to Herod who shot Jack in the head killing him. Voldemort then turned his attention to his target.

“Begin.” he ordered.

The Death Eaters raised their wands and beams of magic flew out towards the school like missiles. Chrysalis and her Changelings did the same. The beams of magic flew towards Hogwarts and hit the shield with a sound like lightning and thunder.

As the besieging continued, Herod gulped nervously.

Oh, dear Catalonia, please be safe. he thought.

Inside the shield the sounds of the magic hitting the shield sounded like muffled explosions.

“Helena, you want to destroy it too. Don’t you?” Harry asked.

“My mother swore to destroy it many years ago.” Helena said “A strange boy with a strange name.”

“Tom Riddle.” Harry said.

“But he lied.” Helena said.

“He’s lied to many people.” Harry said.

“I KNOW WHAT HE’S DONE!!!” Helena roared “I KNOW WHO HE IS!!! HE DIFFILED IT!!! WITH DARK MAGIC!!!”

Harry jumped back and gulped. Helena gasped as she realized what she did and turned her back to Harry and she cried softly.

“I-I didn’t mean to yell at you.” Helena said.

“It’s alright.” Harry said as he walked up to her “But I can destroy it. Once and for all. But only if you tell me where it is. Tell me where he hid it. Please.”

Helena turned to Harry.

“It’s here. In the castle.” she said softly “Where everything is hidden. If you do know, don’t ask. But if you do not know, you need only ask.”

“Thank you.” Harry said.

He then turned and began to ran but then stopped at the door and turned to Ravenclaw.

“Be safe, Potter.” she said.

“You too.” Harry said.

He then ran off and Helena smiled and vanished away.

Kingsley Shacklebolt and Remus walked through the rigidity bridge in the south tower followed by Dean Thomas.

“Dean, tell professor McGonagall me and Remus will handle this side of the castle.” Kingsley said

Dean nodded and began to walk away. Kingsley noticed the explosions on the shield.

“Hey Dean!” he said “Tell professor McGonagall we might need some more wands on this side or some of that Madeline lady’s Muggle weapons.”

Dean nodded and walked away.

George and Fred looked at the exploding magic around them.

“You okay, Freddie?” George asked.

“Yeah.” Fred replied.

George chuckled. “Me too.”

Ron and Hermione stood in front of the door of the Chamber of Secrets. Ron then gulped.

“Open.”* he said.

The door unlocked and opened.

“How did you…?” Hermione asked.

“Harry talks in his sleep.” Ron said “You never noticed?”

“No, of course not.” Hermione replied.

The two then began to walk in.

The Quidditch Arena burned down and blazed with fire. You could see it even behind from the trees that lead to the back wooden bridge of Hogwarts.

The bridge hung over a vast valley nearby the lake. It was almost the mile long. On it, near the edge stood Neville. He then heard the sound of yelling and looked towards the end of the bridge.

Scabior and his entire army of Snatchers (which were 300 in number) ran towards the bridge yelling as they did. Three Snatchers ran right into the shield and were disintegrated. Scabior and the other 298 Snatchers stopped running and stood where they were.

Neville laughed. “Sucks to be you, eh?!”

Scabior growled at Neville, hatred in his eyes.
