"...ah, yes, right there will do nicely."

The two broad and muscled earth ponies carefully set down the last shelf and looked back to the burnette unicorn instructing them. "Thanks, hope you don't mind me trying to straightening the aisles so much I have a crazy obsession with symmetry, you know?" she smiled at them one pony shrugging in reply, blushing she directed them to the counter "Please have a snack after all your hard work, I baked some peanut butter blossom cookies, have some if you like!" To that the rugged ponies perked their ears and trotted to the counter mumbling their thanks through mouthfuls of crumbs, she gave them a small smile and headed to the corner with stacks of cardboard boxes waiting to be unpacked. Taking a box cutter in her magic grip she opened her first shipment and examined the contents.

Inside there were brand new comic books of different genres, with a quick look back to the two movers to ensure they weren't watching she took a quick and quiet sniff of the comic. Ah, Heather Blossom loved the smell of new comic books in the morning, she'd have to rank it up there with the smell of new book, cookies fresh out of the oven and lavender perfume. Looking at its cover she read the title An Angel's Cap, that had to be a good sign! This was one of her favorite comics, one of the first, in fact, that she had read on her own.  She then looked at the rest of the packages in anticipation, along with the arcade games behind them, Today's finally the day, my grand opening!

Blossom had been working towards this goal for years now, to set out on her own and start the business she hoped would fully satisfy her. She had many doubts but refused to think of them, she couldn't think of any real place where she would be more content then a bookstore filled with all of her favorite things: comics, books, and video games. Though sometimes Blossom figured she would be happier in a book then reading it, in her heart she longed to see far off places, have a real adventure, explore places unknown like Daring Doo! Another day another dungeon! she thought to her self then sighed a bit sadly but turned to the aisle with a bright smile.

She opened the remaining boxes and levitated the remaining comics and books to follow her to the middle of the shop where they circled her as she looked about, at ease. The two earth ponies watched unmoved, they were no strangers to magic, they even had alicorns in their fair town, nobles at that! What could this little unicorn do to impress them...? Blossom closed her eyes and embraced the magical energy as it began to lift her, she slowly opened them once more, to the surprise of the earth ponies they were completely white and glowing. She smiled as a clipboard and quill were summoned before her she cleared her throat and began.

"...Equestrian History..."

Suddenly an entire aisle was shelved with books, all pertaining to the subject she had announced,

"...Magical Self-Help Guides..."

This time half an aisle was filled with references for magical use, Blossom continued calling subject after subject, genre after genre until every last aisle was packed with enough comics and books to satisfy even Princess Celestia's faithful student. Heather finally drifted down to earth and her eyes returned back to honey brown, the earth ponies looked in awe a cookie falling out of one's mouth,"You could do that, but you couldn't set up your own aisles?" one inquired dumbfounded

"...They were heavy..." she replied bashfully. The two earth ponies looked at one another blinking then looked back to her speechless, she quickly thanked them for their help and let them take the remaining cookies with them as a friendly gesture, as they left she sighed and went to the counter.

She looked around her store, it was odd thinking is was actually hers, this was everything she wanted, maybe everything she ever needed. She thought that and frowned staring out the window, if that was so why didn't she feel...satisfied? She  had hoped the empty feeling she had would go away once she was fully settled but it remained. She didn't quite understand it, she wondered if she was sick, depressed or cursed but the only explanation she could surmise is she did not feel fulfilled like something was missing, something that would...tie it all together. But that was silly, what could be missing? Now Blossom did as she always had done when she felt this way: she dreamed.

No, she didn't go upstairs to her cozy apartment and nap under her Wonderbolts blanket or take a snooze in her warm rocking chair. She simply stared out the windows eyes in a daze and let her mind wander, she went to far places, tomb raiding with Daring Doo, to flying in the dragon migration, and then down below to explore the world of the sea ponies. Blossom dreamed on hardly blinking, she was so enveloped in her mind that she didn't hear the door open, or the clopping of hoof steps nearing her. Finally Blossom was awoken when she heard a sudden loud voice say:

"Hey! Nice shop you got here!"

She nearly jumped out of her coat as she blinked to see a dark coated and light-blue maned pegasus smiling at her apologetically "I'm sorry I didn't mean to surprise you, just noticed that we had a new store on the block." he said. Heather smiled embarrassed note to self install a bell above door...and try not to daydream on the job "Oh no, I'm sorry, I should have been paying attention. Some first impression I'm making..." the pegasus smiled heartily and looked around her shop giving a low whistle.

"This is some shop you've got her you've got everything!" he said

"Thanks, but really I just filled the place with stuff I wanted to keep my self busy with..."

"Really? Could have sworn this place was made for someone I know..."

Blossom took a deep breath, this could possibly be her first customer, or her last if she blew it, she needed to be as hospitable as possible, "So, I didn't quite catch your name...?" she asked, he looked back to her and widened his eyes,

"Oh! I almost forgot! My name is Winston, and you?"

"My name is Heather Blossom, and Welcome to Blossom Books!"
