Those That Were Not are Now

Chapter 5

After a few hours I had been introduced to the rest of the mane six (although I did not tell them I was from another place entirely) and a few other towns ponies like Ditzy, Lyra, Bon-Bon just to name some. Pinks accompanied me the entire time helping me walk around because I was weak after my mini asthma attack.

"What a great night it has been! This is the best Party I have ever been to and it was planed by us!" I was so happy with the outcome of the party and also really tired even though I had taken a nap a few hours before.

"I loved every moment of it Andy!" Pinks seemed like she was having as much fun as I was.

"But you have spent the entire time helping me walk around and get introduced. You haven't even gone onto the dance floor all night and that's your favorite thing to do!" I commented.

"When somepony new is here its my duty to make sure they have a good time!" She said with the stare of a solider and a salute with her right fore hoof.

"Pinks that seems like a huge task you've put upon your self, do new ponies arrive often?" I asked as she helped me walk over to a nearby chair to sit down.

"Well no, the last pony to arrive was Twilight and that was like... a year ago I think." She sat in a chair next to me and turned it so it was facing me.

"Well how many people live in ponyvill?"

"Somewhere around two hundred or so."

"Seriously only two hundred? That's so few though, the small town I was from had at least a few thousand In the surrounding area."

"A few thousand!? How do you support so many!? WAIT... I BET YOU HAVE THE BEST PARTIES EVER!!" She was confused and excited at the same time.

"I have never been to one, but parties put on by college kids are pretty crazy, probably to crazy, some people get into fights and do things that they would normally never do."

"That's no good. Who in their right mind would fight at a party?"

"Crazy or drunk people."

"Crazy people? What do you mean? And did you say college? I thought college students were supposed to be... Studious and stuff."

"I can't really explain crazy people, but college people. Tons of people go to college, not all go to learn though some go just to party with others."

"Seriously! That's so... actually for once I have nothing to say."

"Speaking of school how does that work here?" I was curious if I would have to start going again.

"Well how old are you? School goes by age, school ends at ten years old."

"Cool that means ive been out for four years! No more school!" Pinks giggled a little at my excitement.

"Were the same age! When were you born?" she asked while examaning me closely.

"Well I was born in October of 1997."

"I was born the second month after the begining of spring 987 years after Nightmare Moons banishment."

"What's the average age around here?"

"Well most of us here in town are around twelve to twenty three."

"What about the rest of your friends? How old are they?"

"Twilight is sixteen, Rainbow is fifteen, Rarity is sixteen, Fluttershy is fifteen, and Applejack is seventeen."

"So that makes you the youngest oh the group?"

"Yup, I don't really mind though."

"Geez we've been talking for like thirty minutes. Time sure does fly when you having fun eh Pinks?"

"It does doesn't it. I sure am tired." she yawned and slowly blinked.

Taking a good look around for the first time in thirty minutes I saw that a lot of ponies had left already, in fact the only ponies left were Twilight, Fluttershy, and Flare. Twilight and Fluttershy were talking while Flare was asleep in his chair using Fluttershy as a pillow.

"Hey Pinks I'm real tired I think I'm gonna go and find a cloud to sleep on or something."

"Awwww, ok... I guess I'll see you tomorrow." She seemed sad that I was but reluctantly I got up and walked over to the door.

When I opened it I was meet with cold fall night air. Seeing how it was now slightly windy and the air was super cold I thought it best not to sleep high up in a cloud with my asthma and all. After a second or two I closed the door and walked. Back inside and up to Pinks who was cleaning up party stuff.

"Pinks I don't think it would be wise for me to sleep outside now with the wind and cold. So I was gonna ask if I could possibly sleep in here?"

"Sure Andy you can sleep here!" She looked excited that she would be able to spend more time with me.

"Thanks a bunch Pinks!"

"Pinkie Pie, me and Fluttershy are going home now and I just wanted to say thanks for the awesome party." Twilight had walked over and I hadn't noticed.

"It was all the more awesome because Andy here helped me plan it!"

"I didn't do to much, it was mostly Pinks who did the planing."

"Well then thank you both for this party. See ya around you two."

"Cya Twilight"

"Bye Twilight"

Her and Fluttershy with Flare on her back walked out of the shop and closed the door behind them.

"Well Pinks I am beat. Do you have any spare blankets I could use to make a little bed out of?"

"What? You weren't thinking I would let you sleep on the floor were you?"

"Well you only have one bed room here and it's yours."

"Oh you silly you can sleep with me in my room."

"Umm Pinks are you sure? I mean... well..."

"It's fine Andy, no bother at all."

"I could sleep on the floor In your room."

"No no no you deserve a bed."

"Ok... if you insist."

Her mane puffed up just enough to be noticeable but I did not say anything about it.

"So... ahh... What now?" I inquired.

Pinks looked around at the trash on the floor.

"Well we should clean up this mess first."

"Alright sure."

The trash proceeded to be picked up by me and Pinks.

"Ok now I'm tired." I said in a weary voice while punctuating the sentence with a yawn.

"I'm positively pooped, sleep sounds amazing right now." Pinks looked like she was about to fall over from exhaustion.

"To the bed!" I said

After turning off the lights and locking the doors Pinks and I walked up the stairs and to her bed room for an amazing night sleep.

"Oh bed Accept my humble embrace!" I said as I walked over the bed and climbed in. Pinks let out a soft giggle and walked over other side and climbed in with me. I rolled over to face her and we talked a little about how her and her friends defeated Nightmare Moon and Discord after a minute or two I fell asleep.

--- The Next Morning  7:57 AM

I woke up but did not open my eyes, instead I let out a groan of morning distress which had awoken the pillow I had my face pressed against. It started to nuzzle me and I got confused as to why my pillow was nuzzling my face until it groaned with the same morning frustration I had. Me and Pinks ended up opening our eyes at the same time and were now staring in to each others eyes. In hers I saw grogginess which was going away to reveal that she was embarrassed. Her cheeks flushed red and she pulled her head back a bit. I could feel that my cheeks had gone red too.

"Umm... I... Uhhh... Why were our muzzles pressed together?" I asked trying to act like it was no big deal.

"Well... We did fall asleep next to each other." Pinks was looking less embarrassed now but her checks were clearly still red.

Right as I was about to say something else Rainbow Dash stepped into the room after opening the door.

"Well... What do we have here? Anyone care to explain?"

"Ok umm... I know this looks weird but..."

"It looks like you slept with my best friend." she stated blankly.

"Dashie we weren't doing anything we just woke up like this." Pinks was still hugging me under the covers but she was talking to Dash.

"Sure you weren't, gee I can't wait to tell the rest of the girls you two are a couple and only after one day too." Dash looked like she had hit a jackpot or something.

"Seriously, I didn't want to sleep out in the cold so I asked Pinks if I could sleep at hers for the night." Man, Dash's teasing was annoying. You would think being in Pinks home at like eight in the morning I would be safe from scrutiny.

"So are you gonna leave or what Dash?" I was still tired and wanted to sleep.

"Why should I leave?"

"Cause I'm still tired and I want to sleep." Dash was just being a jerk now.

"Dashie could you please go away I want to sleep too." Pinks was still hugging me but I offered no resistance in fact I hugged her back, no resistance from her.

"Alright I'll go but don't be surprised if everypony looks at you different from now on." She said this with a sly grin as she walked out. "Have fun 'sleeping' you two." That last statement irked me to no end.

"Ohhh Dashie can be so cruel some times, well I guess we can go back to sleep now."

"Hurrah!!"
