The Unexpected Saviour
Chapter 9: Rage and Serenity
Previous ChapterNext ChapterChrysalis gasps and says, “Sweet Celestia, Rainbow Dash. Don’t sneak up on us like that.”
“Anyway, everypony, we gotta wake Twilight up. TWIIIIIIIILIIIIIIIIGHT, WAKE UU-UUP!” I yell.
Twilight jumps and swivels her head around. “Hey, RD.” Twi says sheepishly.
“What’s up, Twi? Seems you had a good time while I was gone.”
She opens her mouth to explain the visitor, but I cut her off. “We had a good time studying. Right, Twilight?” I say.
She doesn’t answer. “Right, Twilight?” I repeat forcefully. I chuckle nervously.
“Yeah, Jackson. We tested his blood after-” I shake my head just enough to be noticed by Twilight. “After he got a splinter.” She lied.
“What, Twilight?” Chrysalis said, surprised. “I thought Jackson let-”
I cut Chrysalis off. “I let Chryssi know more about me and vice versa.” I lie.
‘Damn, these girls don’t like lying at all. That’s going to get me killed’ I mentally note the obvious.
“Umm . . . yeah that’s right. We just talked about ourselves, after they were done studying his blood.” Chryssi said.
‘Wow! Nevermind about Chrysalis, she’s a natural liar. Sweet! I’m saved’ I think joyfully.
“Wait, why did you need me to test your blood the way you did then? I didn’t need to have wet daydreams. That’s what your blood did to me. After I went oblivious, that is.” She said shyly yet harshly.
‘sheeeiiit, I’m so dead. . . wait what? Wet daydreams, while being oblivious? Ooh, money chance!’ I think. My opportunity mindset jumps in.
“I just got a great idea! It seems my blood is an aphrodisiac when the cells are magically charged. We have to do more tests to find out other properties my blood has.”
I cut my wrist with magic, let some blood gather on my wrist, and seal the incision. I then gather all the blood into a ball with magic and levitate it into the air.
I pull out all the liquid in the blood. The blood orb in front of me gets much smaller and dries out quickly. The dried blood ball is as big around as a standard bb for a bb gun. I reach up and grasp it in my hand.
I walk outside and look at a tree that is in the distance. The tree looks to be about as big as an oak leaf from the distance I see it.
I wrench my arm back behind me, intending to throw the orb. I swing my arm around release the orb. I guide it at the tree with magic. I watch the tree closely.
After a few seconds, the whole tree just disappears with a reddish flash. The grass on the way to the tree bends back in a wave. The wave is approaching at a fast pace.
When the grass wave hits us, there is a resounding boom and a sickly cracking sound. The tree has been exploded by my blood.
I walk back into the library. I sigh, in amazement as well as disgust.
“Okay, now we know that another property of my blood is explosiveness when dried out. Take note of this, Twi. And the princesses hear nothing of this. Got it?”
“Blood is . . . explosive . . . when dried. Done. Wait, what? Jackson, I have to send my friend reports to the princess.” She complains
“Yeah, I know. But if she hears of this, she’ll want to use me as a weapon. To kill changelings and any other being considered a threat to her little empire. It’s something us humans call Tyrant Celestia.” I say. I then proceed to explain the types of Celestias to the ponies surrounding me.
“First there is Tyrant Celestia.” I explain who, what, and why Tyrant Celestia is.
“Second, there is Trollestia.” I explain what trolling is and why Trollestia isn’t good to be around.
“Third, there is Molestia.” Finally, I get to the easiest to explain but hardest to believe. The rapist princess.
At the end of all the explanations, Chrysalis rushes to the bathroom, probably to throw up, and RD and Twilight argue that their leader would never do anything along the lines of the three alternate Celestias.
“There is no way the princess could do any of that weird stuff.” Rainbow’s argument has no real data or confirmation.
I shrug her argument off with a, “Well, you never know”
“Even if Tyrant Celestia does happen, I doubt she won’t have me as her star student.” Twilight pushes a point.
“Twilight, if you do something TC doesn’t like, she will have you executed. No joke.” I say with my expression serious.
“If Molestia comes into existence, which I doubt that will happen either, I would just be happy to be closer with the princess” she states with one good argument so far out of three possible.
“Wow, I would never have guessed Twilight Sparkle would be a filly-fooler.” Rainbow chuckles. Twilight glares at her.
“And third, if Trollestia is as bad as you say she is, I could put up with a few practical jokes.” She states, glaring at RD. That is the bad argument of her tirade.
“Oh, Twilight. You don’t know how bad Trollestia is.” I pull out my phone and show her a video I recorded with my phone.
(Here’s the video, peoples and ponies)
Her eyes widen to plates as she watches the video on my phone. “Oh Celestia, that is horrible. Why would she do that?” she asks me after the video finishes.
“One word, Twi; Trollestia.”
Twilight falls silent and sighs.
“And those three twisted Celestias are why we need to keep everything that happened here today a secret. Thankfully, only you and Chrysalis know what really happened today.
“On another note, since people have thought up evil Celestias, others have thought up good Lunas. One Luna I like the thought of very much is Gamer Luna. She plays video games all day. I believe there is a Gamer Luna in this reality, according to RD, although in no other reality I’ve heard of is there a Gamer Luna in it.” I joke.
“Well, if you ever wanted to meet Luna, you’d have to meet Celestia first. Unless Luna seeks you out herself, that is.” Twilight states.
“Well, I don’t want to meet Celestia very badly at all, so I hope for the latter.” I say. “What time is it?”
“It’s about 10 pm.” A voice says. I spin around to see the princess of the night in the doorway.
‘sheeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiit . . .’ I think with an inward sigh. ‘There is no way this is gonna be good.’
“We heard you were talking about us. Our night hears all.” Luna tells me. “We also heard about thy’s forming of a herd. We would consider it a great honor if thy were to accept us into thy herd.”
Everypony’s jaws drop. Except Luna’s, obviously. I close my mouth and formulate a few question in my head.
“First, princess Luna, I have some questions to ask you about your sister and a few about you. May I ask the questions?” I ask apprehensively
“Proceed with the questions, Jackson Tyler.” She replied.
“Okay. First, does your sister, Celestia, ever say random or do random things that make ponies angry?” I infer the traits of Trollestia in my question.
Luna giggles. “Jackson Tyler, We know what ‘trolling’ is. We invented trolling.” She says. “And no, our sister does not troll anypony, as far as we know.”
“Good. One out of three denied. Does she ‘enjoy the company’ of many ponies a day?” I do finger quotes when I say ‘enjoy the company’.
“We do not interfere with the personal affairs of our sister, so we do not know if she is Molestia or not.” She replies
“Ok, two down. You probably already know my last question. Is she ever power-hungry or overly commanding?”
“She may exhibit a few traits of Tyrant Celestia. We don’t really look into that. Now, Jackson Tyler, we know thee are withholding information from us. Show us all what thy has been withholding from us.” She requests what I knew she was going to ask for.
“Ok fine, but no passing out, screaming or squealing. My brain cannot take that right now. Hold on a second.” I turn to look towards the bathroom. “Chryssi! Are you okay enough to come out of the bathroom!?” I shout.
“I’m coming, my treat” Chrysalis answers.
“Chryssi? My treat? Who are you-?” Luna is stunned speechless. Chrysalis had left the bathroom. Chrysalis looks around with a small smile and her eyes stop on Luna. She frowns. Her eyes flare with anger. Her horn glows sickly green.
I jump in front of her before she can do anything. “Wait, Chryssi. She isn’t here for you; she’s here for me.”
Chryssi looks around me and glares at Luna, who is still stunned. I pull Chrysalis’s snout in front of my face and look into her eyes as deeply as I could. I was trying to pierce her soul with my gaze.
It worked.
Her expression softened and she smiled, her horn fading. She frowned again.
“You said she was here for you. I don’t want to lose you.” She tells me, tearing up.
“Oh man, sorry, I actually meant ‘she was here to talk to me.’ Sorry for improper wording” I apologize. “Hey Luna, you were wanting me to show everypony something?”
She started and looked around almost frantically. Then she calmed, stopped, and thought for a second.
“Yes, thy was going to show us something.” She answered.
“Prepare to have your minds blown!” I say, with a dramatic grin.
I unfurl my wings with a flourish. Assorted reactions assault my ears, from gasps to saucer-eyes.
I grin and chuckle at the reactions my wings induced.
I fold my wings back in after a few moments and look at Princess Luna. “Were you expecting that? Or was there something else you wanted to see?” I grin suggestively. “Naw, I’m just kidding. And you don’t need to see that anyway, you silly pony. Not just yet” I chuckle.
The look on Luna’s face . . . -gasp- PRICELESS! It was a mix of desire, disgust and shock.
I chuckled again. I stick my tongue out playfully while grinning widely. The shock on Luna’s face increases.
I chuckle yet again. ‘Oh, I love how my humor works,’ I think. ‘I’ll never feel depressed again as long as I stay here.’
“Yes, I think so too. You forgot about me, you know.”
“What the hell? Who’s there?”
The scene before me swirls into nothingness. I see a dark form swirl into view. It looked like me except he had pure black irises, and pupils that were blood red. His outfit was out of a dark fantasy of mine. All black clothing with a black zip-up hoodie for hiding my face
I gasp. “Oh god I remember you. Rage, my insecurity all through junior high and high school. Why are you here? I left you on Earth. I want to be happy here, without you.”
“Don’t worry; I will balance you out.”
Another voice says to me. A light figure swirls into existence, emitting energy that lightens my mood instantly. ‘Damn you Rage, pissing me off like that.’ I think.
I look at the second manifestation and smile. She calmed me instantly.
Rage spoke first. “What are you doing here, Serenity? I was doing good pissing him off until you came along” His voice sent shivers up and down my spine.
“I am here to induce Serenity in Jackson, hence my name.” she replies, perfectly level-headed and mellow. Serenity’s voice is light, and hearing it makes you feel like you are listening to a choir of angels singing you gently to sleep on a fluffy little cloud. What I might be able to call something similar to heaven.
“Okay, well, why are you manifesting for me now? And where am I? I need to get back to the ponies at the library” I say.
Rage answered first. “I am here to tell you that if you are not careful and you get angry, I will seize the smallest chance to take over your body and use your body to harm whoever pissed you off. It might end up to be a blessing someday.”
Serenity spoke after Rage finished with his warning. “I will help to balance out your mind, and support your well-being when Rage takes over. In simpler terms, I will help reclaim your body if he takes over too much. I am also here to tell you something, too. If you ever get severely injured, as in certainly going to die, I will heal you to the effect of reclaiming your life from the jaws of Cerberus himself. The downside is every time I heal you at that speed, you lose years from your life.”
“Okay, I now relatively understand why you two manifested. Where am I? You didn’t answer that question yet” I say.
Rage answered impatiently. “We’re all in your mind like a dumb three-person party, with no décor or anything. It gets boring in here without you. You used to talk to me every day, without realizing it. It was good then. You exploded that one day in junior high. Good times, huh? I was the driving force of that anger. I didn’t change your eyes when I utilized myself to explode at them. I am your anger manifested into reality, but I’m not stupid. You would have been taken away and tested for stupid shit. I then would have to have broken you out, getting you severely injured in the process, therefore cutting five to ten years off of your life from Serenity’s advanced healing.” Rage explains.
“And I am really only here for physical healing and calmness.” Serenity adds. “I cannot heal mental wounds; that will be up to you to heal those.”
“Can I go back to reality now? It’s been nice, but I need to prevent worry from happening to all the ponies in the library right now” I say, feeling worried already.
“Fine, but I will want to speak with you soon, alone. Send him back.” Rage says.
Instantly, I feel the hardwood floor against my left cheek. I open my eyes and get up onto my knees. Luna, Twilight, Rainbow, Chrysalis, and Spike are staring at me.
“What? It isn’t okay when a guy is dragged into his consciousness by manifestations of his stronger emotions?” I ask.
As I say that, unbeknownst to me, my two manifested emotions leave my body and reveal themselves.
Everypony’s mouths drop. I look behind me.
“Oh, great! Now the whole gang’s here! Everypony, that is Rage.” I point to Rage with my thumb. “The other one is Serenity. They are the manifestations of emotions I just mentioned a second ago.”
