The Sentinel of Equestria

"This may seem like a hollow victory", Said Princess Celestia, "But I assure you, the sacrifices made during this war against The Plague were necessary, especially the one made at the battle of Canterlot, for on that day, we lost our hero, our protector, our Sentinel."

She closed her eyes for a second and paused, shedding a tear, "If it weren't for Rocky the human, the disease would've erradicated the entire population of Equestria, and maybe spread beyond that."

The Princess was talking to a large crowd of ponies, gryphons, minatours, zebras, and the other races of Equestia that were gathered in the remains of Ponyville, they were scarred both physically and emotionally. They were armed with makeshift weapons and custom battle armour, happy that it was all over, even though they didn't know there was an alien in their world that saved them, only the ponies knew.

"And because of his heroism, we've made a memorial in his honor." When she said that, two pegasi removed the veil covering the winged biped surrounded by 5 other figures, they were in honor of certain ponies who also gave their lives in the war, (I'm not gonna say who.). The crowd, including Celestia, made the ground tremble before them as they stamped their hooves and bowed in honor of their unknown hero.

On the pedestal of the memorial read these words, 'I will fight, not for myself, but for the land I love, for the great nation of Equestria!'

And with that, Celestia dissmissed the group of mixed yet united creatures that populated Equestria, then looked towards a certain mare, "Don't worry my dear, we still have some work to do, but we won, isn't that good news? We won! Rocky has done the impossible, Equestria would have fallen if it weren't for him."

The mare then looked up at the statue and said to herself, "Don't worry Rocky, I will fight for you and my friends, you will never be forgotten by me." And the mare now joined Celestia and the two walked towards the mountain where Canterlot used to stand, going to finish the fight, to honor the fallen, to fight for the land they also loved, for the nation of Equestria!
