Today is just a fine evening in Ponyville, everypony is either playing, hanging out, or just being alive. Although one strange person arrives from the field. A tall boy around a young age with shaggy cobalt colored hair, he also carries an acoustic guitar on his back. He stops to look around the scenery and sighs.

"Ive traveled for days in every province I could think of, Manehattan, Hoofington, and Phillydelphia but none of them want to hear my music. What is wrong with my music?"

He sits on the fence and looks at his acoustic guitar, he sighs once more and continues walking to arrive in Ponyville.

As he walks through town he gets lost and just decides to ask for directions he sees two girls sitting on a bench, and decides to go up to them.
"Excuse me, but are you two residents of this town?" as he says rather gingerly.

"Hmm? Oh! Hello there new pony, well yes, we are residents of Ponyville, Im Bon Bon and this is my best friend; Lyra"
"Hello there" she stops to get up and examine him a bit.

"Uhhh is there something wrong?"
Lyra goes wide eye and trots off in another direction.

"Uhhhmmm did I say something?"
"No ,no Lyras just.....excitalbe" Bon Bon shakes her head and runs after her friend and leaves Cobalt behind.

"Well that could of gone weirder, well I guess I can just take a walk around the area".

He sets off first to just go sight seeing and he came across a small grove that has butterflies flieing all around. He sits down to admire the sight and looks at his acoustic and begins to play a small gentle, relaxing tune.

Nearby two voices are talking one rather timid and the other a bit full of it. Two girls; one wearing jean shorts ,with a light blue jacket ,and rainbow hair ,with blue tennis shoes and light blue wings, the other a yellow dress with ,pink hair and ,pink slippers, along with her yellow wings.

"Wa, wa , wa wait Fluttershy? Do you hear that?" Fluttershy stops and listens.

"Y-yes I do, wait which direction d-do y-you think thats coming from R-rainbowdash?" she says this by hiding behind her friend.

"I think its coming froooom.....that direction" she points to the left of her self.
"O-Oh no not my butterfly grove!" Fluttershy exclaims and runs towards her grove.

"Wait! Fluttershy wait for me!"
As she says running behind her practically tripping on some branches.
Eventually when they reach the grove they stop to see Cobalt sitting on a stump playing his guitar and every butterfly sitting either on his shoulder,head, or on a branch near him.

They crouch near a bush and start whispering back and forth.
"Fluttershy who is that?"
"I d-don't know R-rainbowdash, I hope my butterflies are okay though"
Rainbowdash shakes her head and looks back out and is lost in the music.

"H-he's really good at playing his guitar though, don't you think Rainbow?"
"He's very good, not so bad looking either, heh heh" as she says smirking.

Cobalt opens his eyes and looks at all the butterflies and one lands on his finger.
This butterfly is a rare one though, it has blue gem like wings and a white body, this butterfly flies up to his shoulder and sits there.

"Well I guess I've made a friend, huh?" as he says petting the butterfly.
"Although I guess I could name you....Lien"
As he says this he turns around quickly to hear a branch crack and practically jumps off the log to see two people watching him.

"O-oh my, w-we didn't mean to scare you."
"Yeah we just heard your music from nearby" as Rainbowdash and Fluttershy come out of their bush and introduce themselves.

"Im Rainbowdash, best flier in Equestria and future Wonderbolt" as she says with the utmost confidence.
"I-Im Fluttershy" as she says at the most lowest of volume"

"I- Im sorry but I didnt quite catch that"
"I-I Fluttershy" as she says a little bit higher atleast enough for him to hear.

"Well its a pleasure to meet you Rainbowdash and....." he pauses just to look at Fluttershy for a minute and he almost freezes.

"Fluttershy, sorry I kind of spaced out, Im Cobalt."
It seems almost Fluttershy herself spaced out, more then usual.

She clears her throat and gets back to reality.
"Oh well umm you were in my Butterfly Grove, and me and Dashie were just coming here to make sure the Butterflies had food.

"Oh Im sorry I didn't mean to intrude, it's just this place gave me the inspiration I needed to play music again"
"How so?" Rainbowdash asked while looking at his acoustic.

"Well the beauty of this area is just amazing, the subtlety of the scene makes a great relaxing feeling it almost feels like its a..." Fluttershy cuts him off by taking the words out of his mouth

"A Garden of Serenity and Peace."
Cobalt looked at her and smiled at how she knew.

Cobalt looked at the sky and noticed it was getting pretty late and he should probably be getting some sleep. Even though he never bought a home.

"Well I better be heading home, I guess I'll see you two girls later." as he says this he picks up his Acoustic and bows.

"We'll see you tommorow right Cobalt?"
As Fluttershy and Rainbowdash asked.

"Well of course you will." He then exits out of the grove back into the town and sighs to the fact he does not own a home.

One man bumps into him dropping a large assortment of papers and notes. He wore a brown jacket and a white shirt with slick brown hair along with loafers and slacks. He stood up and looked at Cobalt, he had a very slick accent.

"Oh I am so sorry, I was badly in thought with my new inventions."
He lifts up Cobalt by the hand and brushes dust off his clothes.

"Ah. You must be new to Ponyville, I'm Doctor Whooves, welcome to Ponyville."
He says that by offering a hand shake.

"Its nice to meet you Doctor, by any chance do you know of a motel or hotel around here I can go for some rest."
As he says handing him some of his notes and papers.

"Wait you don't own a home well come along with me I have extra space, and if you'd like a few extra bits I'll be sure to pay you if you be my assistant."
"Well I guess I could, I've honestly have nothing else to be reliable on, plus its free so thank you Doctor"

"Don't mention it well enough dilly-dallying around lets be on our way now."
They arrive to the Doctors house and they enter, everywhere there is stacks of papers and loose machine parts along with a what Doctor Whooves described it as a Tardis.

Cobalt shrugs and lays on the nearest couch and flops down.
"Goo'night Cobalt, I'll just be downstairs in my lab if you need me!"
"Alright Doctor! and thanks again!"

Cobalt looks at the ceiling and falls asleep slowly.

Cobalt awakes in a dark room and looks around scared half to death, he somehow turned into a filly and countless laughters from every direction and insults of his music.

"Cobalt's music will never surpass Octavia or Vinyl Scratch."
"Cobalt should just give up, no one likes his music anyway"
"Oh look how cute a Unicorn who cant even make a decent song ahahahaha!"

"AAAHHHHH!
Cobalt wakes up in a cold sweat and breathing heavily.

It was a dream.
