The Infection Journalsby Lil_Miss_RarityChaptersDay 0: Before The ApocalypseDay 0.5: Destruction of CivilizationDay 1: Camp OutDay 1.5: In HeatDay 2: A New CompanionDay 0: Before The ApocalypseWe just heard that a SE cargo plane blew up. Our spies tell us that it was carrying some kind of gas container. Princess Luna has ordered me and my squad to go and scavenge the plance wreck for the gas, but I don't really expect it to be intact. No pony here does. 2 miles away from Appaloosa 1600 We found the wreckage of the plane. It was surrounded by a barely thick fog of green. Expecting for this to happen, me and my squad put on our gas masks and moved in. The mask made my breathing louder and made my breath hotter and it was fogging up the lenses. The green fog was much harder to see through as we walked closer to the plane. As we got closer, blood began to appear on the dirt, but there were no bodies. It was strange. I took the safety off my gun and aimed for a hole in the side of the plane. I switched on my LED light attached to my helmet and looked inside. Everything was out of order. Boxes were all smashed and stripped of its contents, as if somepony opened it and took everything in it. Wires hung off the top of the plane, giving off sparks and making it difficult to navigate the wreck. Fires quickly spread throughout, making it even more difficult to navigate. The impact and the fires seem to have destroyed anything valuable. I knew it was a waste of time, but did they listen? Fuck no. As we left through the opening in the side, we noticed that the gas cloud was heading Appaloosa. The gas began to engulf the city. We began running to the city, praying that there were survivors. Unfortunately, there wasn't. There were nothing but bodies on the streets. Something was not right. The gas didn't reach the city yet. Why are they already dead? Some bodies were hanging from windows, the mares died doing the laundry. All these innocent ponies, dead, minding their own business. It brought tears to my eyes. But I tried to keep it in. For one, it could fill up my mask with tears. The gas began to flood the city in gaseous liquid. I began to hear some smashing sounds behind me. I looked behind. A figure was walking towards me. It appeared to be a pony. It was limping, focusing all it's strength on one leg. I was getting a little freaked out. It was a colt. About 20? 30? He had a brown curly mane and grey fur. But as I looked closer, I began to realize there was blood all over him. There was blood coming out of his mouth and eyes. His eyes were red as well. I began to step back. My team noticed and walked next to me, aiming their rifles at the colt. The pony suddenly jumped and grappled me to the ground. I tried to push him away, with no success. He was ridiculously strong. He tried to bite my face. Blood was covering my mask. My unit immediately began trying to get the colt off. One grabbed the pony and pulled him off me. He had the colt in a headlock position, trying to stop him. The colt did a complete 180 with his head. The soldier's eyes grew wide with fear. The colt bit at the soldiers mask. The soldier tried to keep the mask on, but the straps gave away and he was left without a mask. He began gasping and coughing. Blood came out of his mouth as well. He grasped his throat. And then fell to the ground. Another soldier cried out, "Light that fucker up!" Next thing I knew, bullets whizzed past me and struck the colt multiple times. The colt fell to his knees, then stood back up. I ran up to the colt and tripped him. He smashed back onto the ground. I pulled my knife out of its scabbard attached to my front leg and stabbed him right in the side of the head. He was still moving. I groaned in frustration. I twisted the knife and pulled it out. The colt finally died. "Mother fucker! What the hell was that!?" We then checked on the soldier. His fur was beginning to burn away, revealing his rough and jagged skin. His face didn't even look like one. I looked away, trying my best not to gag. I grabbed the soldier above my shoulder and began carrying him out of the city to bring him back. My squad doesn't normally take casualties, so his death hit us all without warning. But I swear I could feel the body moving. NLR Capital, Ibex Empire 2100 hours We gave the soldier a quick memorial. His name was Pipsqueak. Funny name for a elite soldier. As I held onto his tags, I noticed that they weren't the same from the others that are given to the soldiers. It was dark blue and had the princess's cutie mark on the background. The normal ones had the NLR insignia on it instead. There was also a message scratched into it. "To my favorite soldier -Luna" I suppose they had a connection. After the memorial ended, the body was carried over to the hospital, where it would be examined. I decided to give back the tags to the princess. The halls were completely covered with insignias of the NLR and colored completely in light and dark blue. Rows and rows of soldiers were lined up on two sides of the hall. At the end was a huge black door. Two elite soldiers guarded the door. Their uniforms blended in with the door, making them difficult to see at first glance. I walked up to door. The two guards saluted, then stepped aside. The ancient door opened, making a horrible, metal screeching noise as it slowly opened. Princess Luna was on her bed. Her mane was long and flowing. I saluted in place. She looked up and nodded, implying that I was allowed to talk. I handed her the tags. She picked it up with her magic. She covered her mouth with her wings. She began to tear up. "You knew him, ma'am?" "For a long time, I did, when my sister and I were... Actually sisters. Now, we're enemies. I never wanted this." "Remember, princess. She brought this on herself." "I understand. I just can't believe that we're going at each other's throats." Tears were slowly going down her chin. She wiped them away, then took a deep breath. "On a more serious note, did you find anything at the crash? What happened to him?" I quickly conflicted my thoughts with weather to tell her or not. "No, princess. Everything was destroyed in the crash. And the soldiers' mask sustained damage after he fell and he accidentally breathed in some of the gas from the plane." "Very well. Get some rest. If we uncover anything from the body, you'll be the first to know." "Yes. Princess." By the time I got to the soldier barracks, the rest of my team was either reading, sleeping, or cleaning their equipment and gear. As soon as I entered, they jumped to their hooves. "Did you tell the princess about that 'thing'?" "No." They looked as if I was completely insane. "Why?" "I just couldn't tell it to her." "C'mon, Mist. Those things could threaten not just the military, but all of our families and friends. If we don't inform the princess, the military won't be able to make any move fast enough to help for shit." "I know, I know. Look, let's just try to stop thinking about it and gets some rest. We got scouting routines tomorrow." While I was in a deep sleep, a loud beeping noise sounded. Then a voice came on the intercom. "Sergeant Mist. You are needed at the hospital." I dragged myself out of my bunk and slowly walked towards the hospital. Because mostly everypony was asleep, there was no need for light. It was completely black, apart from the exit signs that illuminated a faint green light. I used the locater attached to my suit to help myself find the hospital. After running into countless walls and tripping over my own hooves, I finally made it. I let out one last yawn and went through the door. Inside, there were doctors and nurses scrambling to different places. They all seemed to be wearing mouth masks. They don't normally don't wear mouth masks. I grabbed a passing by doctor by the shoulder. "Hey, what's going on?" "That soldier you brought back? His body is infected with some sort of disease that we've never seen before. And to top it off, the body's missing. We're trying to find it." "You really think the body would just get up and walk away?" "Well, what do you think happened to it then, smartass?" "Just go find the body." "Aye, aye, corporal punishment." then the doctor ran off. After hours of searching, one of my soldiers, Sonar, contacted me. "Mist, I think I found the body. But it looks like it's... Walking? What the hell? HEY, PIPSQUEAK!" "Turn on your helmet cam. I need to see this." "Copy. Switching now." My HUD made a small screen on the top right corner of my glasses. It was showing the first-pony view of Sonar from his helmet camera attached to the side. At first, I couldn't see much. It was too dark, but after a while, my eyes began to adjust. I saw the walking figure. It was Pipsqueak, but wasn't he dead? There seemed to be something coming out of his mouth. Sonar began walking towards Pipsqueak. "Hey! Who told you you could come back from the dead?" He looked at Sonar, than he suddenly sprinted at him. "What th-!" Pipsqueak grappled Sonar to the ground. He was trying to bite him. Sonar was keeping his head away by pushing it away, but judging from how much his hoof is wobbling, he won't be able to keep it away for long. I ran to Sonar. I pushed past miles and miles of ponies to get to him. By the time I got to Sonar, Pip was already biting into his neck. I guess he's still dead, because when I entered the hall, Pip continued to eat up the soldier, not noticing me. I knew that saving Sonar wasn't an option now. I ran back to the entrance to the hall and locked it. I then ran to the command center, then flipped the switch that was made in case of a biological attack. In this case, it looked like the most logical thing that was happening at the moment. A loud siren sounded and, on the huge base status screen, it was showing that most of the doors were being locked down. Then, a recorded message played. "Attention, a biological attack is occurring inside the base permises! All personell are to evacuate the base immediately! Do not forget to equip a gas suit! This is not a drill!" I could only hope that everypony could get out in time. Sgt. Mist 5th Battalion 6th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed Day 0.5: Destruction of CivilizationNightmare Base, Ibex Empire 2100 I could not have been more wrong. As soon as I managed to pull the command center door open, the intense heat from the fires doused my face with a hot wind. Good thing I had my goggles on. I could hear the screams of help. Gunshots rang throughout the entire base. There was blood everywhere. Bodies laid, pieces of them bitten off, letting their insides flow out. I gagged multiple times that day. My headphone shouted out voices from soldiers on the same channel as me. "What the fuck are these things!?" "I don't know! Just shoot the fuckers!" "Light that mother up!" "It's got my leg!" "GET IT OFF OF ME!!" "AGHHHH!!!!" I knew I needed something to protect myself. Luckily, I found a pistol, along with a couple of shots. Picking up the pistol brought me a little comfort. That is, until someone spoke something into the mic. "Everypony! Listen! Guns will not do shit! Only shots to the head will kill them! That or bash the bastards in the head!" I began to panic at that point. The only thing going through my mind was escaping the base, maybe even the country. Saving anypony was not a priority. As I traveled towards the outside of the base, I began to notice that more and more soldiers had bullet wounds, not bite marks. Then it hit me. When panic strikes my brothers and sisters, they turn against each other, just to survive. They must have been killing each other to escape, just to get attacked later. As I got closer to the exit, the more I began to hear a sound. It sounded like screaming. The outside wasn't any better than inside. Everything was on fire or covered in blood. It was horrifying. Everypony was biting each other. It was so weird. Everything was normal a second ago. It was amazing how much something can change so fast. Just above, in the clouds, flying choppers flew past the city and came back around. They were not NLR reinforcements, but SE raid ships. They were attacking the capital! Another alarm sounded, but the screaming covered most of it, so not many heard it. The automated defense systems were not firing on the raid ships, which was strange. Now the "things" were the least of our worries. "We got SE raid ships! Shoot the bastards down and get the civilians out of here!" But as the manual turrents began firing, the ships caught fire and crashed into the field just outside the capital. "What the hell happened? We didn't even hit them!" "The infection must have spread into Equestria too!" "Do you really think this could spread so fast?!" "It doesn't matter! They're down! Call in some air ships! We need to get the fuck out of here!" "Roger!" Just as the two gunners got off, I felt a force push me to my belly. I was pinned. I turned around and saw a pony trying to bite me. I tried to keep it away. All it tried to do was to kill me. It was as if all its purpose in this is to kill every living thing on Earth. I remembered that I had my pistol on me, but it was a 079 Bluebird. The Bluebird was only a personal defense weapon. It was not made to kill a living being, let alone a dead being. But, it was the only thing I had. To make it even worse, I was risking letting the bastard get me. But I couldn't think straight at the moment. I just went for the pistol and repeatedly fire at its head. Blood was coming all over my face. Miraculously, I killed it. I quickly pushed the body away from me and got up. I then hear engines. I looked up. NLR blimps were arriving, ready to evacuate the capital. I dashed for the airport, where I expected the blimps to land. But when I got there, I was surprised to see that there were no blimps on the dock. I looked around. Most of the buildings were too tall for me to be able to see past anything. I decided that the only way to see where the blimps were was to climb up the Dock Observation Tower. Luckily, I'm a pegasus, so I did not need to walk up to the top of the tower. As I flew above the buildings, I saw the blimps. They were opening fire on the ground. I couldn't tell if they were shooting at the things or survivors. Either way, it was my only way out of this shit-hole. I flapped my wings as fast as I could to go as fast as possible. The blimps were taking off. In no time, I flew into the blimp. But when I looked back, a cute mare was still left behind. The blimp was lifting off. The mare would never make it in time. She had a huge pink bow on her head. Her mane was rounded and dark red. She had yellow fur and had a emblem of a filly in front of a blue shield background as a cutie mark. She looked really cute. She was struggling to get to the blimp. It began opening fire on the things behind her. They were close to hitting the mare. So I flew off and grabbed her. I then tried to get back with all my might. With my last ounce of strength, I threw her up. She landed on the door safely, but not so much for me. I grabbed onto the edge, dangling between safety and death. I was too used up to pull myself up. The mare I saved pulled me up quickly. I was surprised by how strong she was. I was breathing hard. I looked up at the mare I rescued. She gave me a huge hug. "Thank ya kindly, soldier!" "It was *huff* nothing. Where you from?" "Ah used to work at Sweet Apple Acres in Ponyville, but now ah work as a cowpony coach." "Cool..." I looked back down at the capital. The only thing that ran through my head was where the princess was and what would happen to the NLR. I saw choppers coming in to pick up small numbers of survivors at a time. The panic must have been reaching everypony. As one of the helis took off, some grabbed onto the bar. The unbalanced weight made the heli veer out of control. The heli hit another chopper that was taking off. The out-of-control heli smashed off the other chopper's tail, which made the chopper crash into the survivors, probably killing about a dozen. It was a horrible sight to see. They were willing to risk the life of others just to save their own ass, only to die soon enough. As we flew further up, I saw a couple of NLRA fliers going over the Moon's Crossing Bridge. It's the only way to get to the capital without flying. Moments later, a huge explosion ignited in the middle. The bridge snapped in half. I was shocked. "What the hell are they doing!? There were thousands of survivors on that bridge!" In my head, I could hear the screams of the innocent. The colts. The mares. The fillies. All of them. I was going insane. The mare looked at me with concern. "Ya ok?" "Uh, I'm fine." She was so cute. Weird, but the fire reflecting her eyes just complemented her looks. I must have been showing it. "Yer face is gettin' red. *giggle*" "Oh. Say, what's your name?" "Ah'm Applebloom. You?" "I'm Mist." "Pleasure to meet ya." I soon got some shut eye. Luna knows how. Perhaps I'll wake up to find this is all a dream. A bad dream. That I'll find myself looking up from my bunk. Sgt. Mist 5th Battalion 7th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed Day 1: Camp OutUnknown Unknown I woke up to find myself looking at trees. The Sun's rays were barely squeezing through the tiniest gaps in the leaves and shining on my face. I tried to sit up, only to have a sharp pain strike my stomach and my wing. My stomach was bloodied and was wrapped in a white bandage. I looked behind me. My wing was all ruffled up, broken, and bloody. The wing guard that was made to protect our wings during combat was gone. It must of been blown off or something. I then began to smell burning flesh, fur, and metal. It was disgusting. I turned and saw a huge ball of fire in the field. It was a blimp crash. It was the blimp we were riding in before. What happened? How did I sleep through all that? Where was Applebloom? At least, I found the answer to the last question. She was finding plants in the forest. As soon as she saw me, she dove on me and almost knocked me off the crude bed. "Ah'm so glad yer ok!" "I'm fine! What happened?" "Those dad gum things bit one 'o the pilots. The pilot attacked us, includin' the other pilot. The blimp crashed into that field just outside of th' forest. Have no idea how in tarnation ya stayed asleep." I rubbed my head and looked around. It looked so normal, other than the flaming blimp. It was as if the infection didn't reach here yet. Later, Applebloom placed a bowl in my lap. It was filled with what looked like mashed up leaves with some sort of liquid in it. As soon as I ate it, my body instantly wanted to spit it back out. If I had to eat this everyday to live, I'd rather be dead. "Please tell me we aren't staying here." "Don't worry. I got a route mapped out fer us." She then pulled out a map. There were two circles. One was circled over a forest where I supposed we were. The other was circling Fort Armor. Fort Armor was a huge fortress named after Captain Armor of the Royal Guard. It was a abandoned SE fort during the early years of the civil war. It was a ideal place to survive. From the outside, it was impenetrable. From the inside, however, anypony inside was a sitting duck. Applebloom continued to talk. "If we find that th' locals 'er th' walkin' dead, we could head back to Zavrios. But we gotta watch out fer th' earthquakes. It's Ground Shakin' season over there." Zavrios is famous for their earthquakes. There's a approximate of 25-30 earthquakes in the country alone every 5 months. But because of the constant earthquake threat, they city is also the safest from natural disasters. The Sun was setting over the horizon, making the Sun much brighter and more beautiful. "Reckon we made camp here fer th' night?" "That'll probably be best, yeah." As we set up camp, I felt a chill go down my spine, like we were being watched. The Fringe, Eastern Zavrios 2000 hours We set a little fire to warm ourselves up. Throughout the night, we told each other stories about our foalhood. Appleblooms's was a lot more interesting. She says she was the little sister of the element of honesty. Now that's a relative! Applejack, I think her name was. She says that she died while bucking for apples in a storm. She was too stubbron to go inside, and she continued to buck the apple trees in the intense rain and wind. A lightning bolt struck a nearby tree, which crushed her. Applebloom's voice became more quiet as she continued with the story. I held her hoof. She looked at me with sad eyes. She scooted away, blushing. "I'm sorry..." "No, no... Ya shouldn't be..." "Out of curiosity, do you have a crush on anypony?" Applebloom looked back and her face got even redder. "Well, I did." "Who?" "Spike." Huh? Who was this Spike? "Who's Spike?" "A dragon." A dragon? I've heard of interspiecies relationships, but a pony and a dragon? That's unheard of. "A dragon? Those things are huge!" "Nah. He was a baby dragon. He was th' assistant of Twilight Sparkle, th' element of magic." I remembered reading about her before. "Did?" "Well, he grew up so fast, 'n ah never got to show mah feelin's fer him." "I'm sure he would of liked you too." Applebloom's eyes lit up after that comment. Her smile grew from ear to ear. "Do you like anyone now?" "Yeah. One." "Who?" Applebloom hugged me tightly. "You." Sgt. Mist 5th Battalion 9th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed Day 1.5: In HeatThe Fringe, Eastern Zavrios 21:46 I only got a second to rest, as Applebloom was still in heat. When mares are in heat, they cannot think straight and are driven by their lust. So stopping them was nearly impossible. Applebloom got up and sat on top of my lap. Applebloom took off my combat glasses and face mask and threw it into the dirt. She began to kiss me again and again. Each kiss went lower and lower until she reached my stomach. Applebloom began to remove my armor. While she was removing my armor to expose my inner body, she continued to kiss me. Soon, my stomach was fully exposed. She began to playfully nibble at it. It felt funny until she accidentally nibbled at my wounded part. "Ow!" "Oh mah gosh, ah'm sorry!" Afterwards, Applebloom became bored of my stomach and went even lower to my thighs. She removed even more of my armor. When she removed my crotch guard, she tossed it aside, exposing my colthood. Her eyes glowed at the sight of it. Her hoof left my waist and then gripped it. She began stroking me slowly at first, but faster after each minute. My hoof located her wet slit and I began to rub it mercilessly. She began to breathe hard. The campfire made her flank warm. I rubbed faster without a moments notice. She let out a quick and mildly loud yelp. "Careful there, partner. You'll get yer turn. But fer right now, lemme concentrate on this." Applebloom got off the log we were sitting on and kneeled between my back hoofs, giving herself a better view and a more comfortable postion to continue. She breathed lightly and began part two. She now began to teasingly rub my top. She began to giggle as it throbbed harder than before. When she decided I had enough of that, she opened her mouth slightly and let my shaft enter her mouth. The feeling of her warm, moist mouth was amazing. Her head continued to bop my shaft. As she continued to suck me greedily, her hoof pumped away at it. The other finds my sack and she began to fondle it playfully. I looked down at her. As if she knew, she looked back up at me. Her bow was close to falling off, but I think she knew. I closed my eyes forcefully and began biting my lower lip. She knew what was about to happen next. She sucked and stroked harder. Reaching my climax, I grunted loudly and felt my seed explode into her mouth. She moaned in delight and swallowed me up. The last bits leaked out and she took my entire length down her throat. Once I finally stopped, she slid my colt hood out inch by inch until it popped limply out of her mouth. She didn't lose a single drop. I was impressed. Feeling that I should return the favor, I placed a DRM, or Deployment Ready Mattress, on the dirt, than patted on it. Applebloom wiped her mouth, smiled, and laid on her back on top of the DRM. She then teasingly began to rub her entrance. "Well, what're ya waitin' on, cowboy?" I crawled over her and kissed her this time. My hooves searched high and low, until they found what they were looking for. One grabbed and massaged her breasts while the other played with her flank. Applebloom made cute little moaning noises as my hooves danced around her breasts and belly. But they were quickly replaced by panting as I shoved my hoof into her marehood. I was surprised by how loose it was. I guess she's done this before. And a lot too. With a single, long kiss on her belly, I kneeled down between her fore hooves and draged the tip of my tongue along her thighs. My mouth opened and I let my tongue slide across the surface. She began to moan and pant even louder and faster. She grabbed onto her breasts to relive some of the tension onto something else. By that time, I was fully erect. Applebloom suddenly wrapped her fore hooves around my face, forcing my face to slam right into her marehood. She began to breathe quicker and quicker. She tried to say something, but she was breathing too much for me to understand. I stopped and held her hoof. "Applebloom? What's wrong?" "It's *hng!* nothin'..." I gave her a sour look. "Alright. Ah just didn' wanna be done yet... Ah was close..." "Well, then let's finish with a bang." "Alrighty then." Applebloom got up and waited for me to sit down. As I sat, Applebloom sat on my lap again, only this time, facing me. She put her hooves around the back of my head. She was on my lap, but not fully sitting down. I put my hoof on her chin. She held it, took a deep breath, then sat down. My shift penetrated her beautiful, wet clit. Applebloom let out sort of a painful-moan. "Are you ok?" "Harder..." I gripped onto her fore hooves and began to thrust into her, every time letting a moan come from Applebloom. "Aaah! Hoo doggy! Mmmmmph!" She put one hoof behind her head while she put her other in the air. Her fluids kept washing over my colthood. I knew she would eventually cum. "Applebloom! Nnngh!" She froze in place as I shot my hot stream inside her. Exhausted, her head collapsed onto my shoulder. She wrapped her hooves around my neck and curled her body against mine. Affectionately, I looked into her eyes and our lips met again for the last time, letting your tongues meet in the middle. The Fringe, Eastern Zavrios 23:01 hours I got more wood for the campfire. As I sat down, Applebloom laid her head against my shoulder. I wrapped my hoof around her body then kissed her on the forehead. For a few moments, there was silence. The only noise was the cracking of the firewood. My voice broke the silence. "You know what?" "Huh?" "I'm glad this is all happening." "Huh? Why?" "I never would of met you if this never happened." We hugged. But then we decided we've seen enough of each other for the night. I kicked some dirt into the fire, which quickly extinguished it. I crawled onto my DRM and tried to get some sleep. But it was difficult. I must have been moving around a lot, because I heard her voice through the total darkness. "Ya can't sleep neither?" "Nope." "Here, ah'll help." Something pushed against my side. I openend my eyes to see another pair. It was Appleblooms's eyes. They were shining and were big. She turned and faced the other way. I put my hoof around her body and that actually helped me go to sleep. "Goodnight, AP." "G'night, sweetie." I looked at her. I liked that she called me that. I let my head fall onto my pillow. I fell asleep with a smile on my face. Sgt. Mist 5th Battallion 9th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed Day 2: A New CompanionThe Fringe, Eastern Zavrios 0800 My body was hurting all over. I guess I was still moving around a lot. I looked at my body. There was a huge spider on it. "HOLY SHIT! GET IT OFF ME!!!!" I swiped it off and tried to crush it. I missed, but I managed to kill it. I was still shivering. Applebloom still managed to sleep through all that. She was hudled into a ball, probably trying to stay warm. I searched through my pack for a blanket. Luckily, I found one. I put it on top of her. She suddenly smiled. I smiled too. I then started a campfire and looked through my pack again for something to eat. Nothing. But then, out of nowhere, a sudden noise pierced my eardrums. I looked into the fields. The blimp wasn't on fire anymore. But there was something inside it. It looked like a deer. Which meant food. I found my armor on the floor from last night and looked for my combat knife. I had no wilderness survival training in the Air Force, but I don't think it would be too hard. But my knife throwing skills are pretty much flawless, as long as they don't move. But there was no way I could kill it from the open. I had to sneak around it and attack it from inside the blimp. The deer remained in place, unaware that its life was about to come to a complete halt. I drew my knife back, ready to throw it and pierce the animal's heart when a loud shriek blew up the sky. The noise frightened the deer away. I kicked the blimp in frustration. After a few seconds, I ran towards the direction of the scream. It came from a small house. The front door was broken down. Fearing the worst for whoever was in the house, I entered. Already, I saw a casualty. A young unicorn laid against the wall. A huge piece of his neck was missing, bitten off. He was dead for no more than about 10 minutes. I could tell because his body was still warm and blood was still coming out of the wound. Looking around a bit more, I thought that the house was abandoned. I was just about to leave when I heard crying. It was coming from a nearby closet. I opened it, only to be struck by a cloths hanger. My head was spinning in pain. "Oh oh my... I'm so sorry..." "Yeah, it's fine..." *GASP!* "Behind you!" I twirled around and saw another one of those things walking towards me. Except because of the assault on my head with a cloth hanger, my vision wasn't as good as it normally should be. I could tell it was a "thing", but other than that, it was too blurry. I just swung my knife around, which was a pretty bad mistake. Swinging the knife around only gave the thing a opportunity to tackle me. Luckily, I managed to push the head away from me, but it was extremely strong. I wouldn't be able to keep it away much longer. I could feel the blood from its mouth dripping onto my face. It smelled horrible too. Both made my hooves that much weaker. My hooves were about to release. But then, I heard a clank, then the thing suddenly collapsed onto my body. I struggled to push the body off and get up. My vision was clear by then. The thing's head was bursted open from behind. I looked around and saw a cute pegasus. She had a slik, slightly curly pink mane with yellow fur, just a little lighter than Appleblooms'. She was gripping onto a pot. She was shaking, sweating, and breathing hard. She just stood there, looking completely terrified. "Hey, are you ok?" She snapped out of it and dropped the pot. She ran over to me and helped me up. "Are, are you ok?" "Yeah, I'm fine, thanks to you." I wiped off some blood from my face. "What's your name?" "I'm... Fluter%@#" "What? I didn't catch that." "Flu..." "Whatever. Are you going to come with me? We're going to Fort Armor." She remained quiet. I couldn't wait anymore. I looked at the unicorn body. "Friend?" "Mh-hm." "I'm sorry... Look, just think about the offer. We've set up camo near a crashed blimp. I'll see you if you come by." I picked up my knife and left the pegasus in the house and went back to the camp where Applebloom was probably awake now when a quiet yell came from behind me. The pegasus ran up to me. "I would like to come with you..." "Wise decision," I joked. When we got back, I realized that I never got anything for us to eat. But with no animal in sight, I had no choice but to tell Applebloom. Applebloom was cooking something when we came in sight of the camp. Well, I guess I don't need to tell Applebloom anymore. The pegasus' eyes lit up when she saw Applebloom. She practically trampled me just to get to her. "Applebloom!" "Fluttershy?" Fluttershy? That was her name? I think I remember hearing about her. I think she was the element of kindness. "Wow! Ah haven't seen ya in forever!" "I know! Are you ok?" "Ah'm fine! Where were ya?" "I was with a friend near here when those things showed up. They killed my friend, but I managed to hide. That soldier saved me." "Yeah, that's Mist." I nodded. "Fluttershy" came over and gave me a huge hug. I could barely breathe. I guess the expression "don't judge a book by it's cover" really comes into play here. Sgt. Mist 5th Battalion 10th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed
Day 0: Before The ApocalypseWe just heard that a SE cargo plane blew up. Sgt. Mist 5th Battalion 6th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed
Day 0.5: Destruction of CivilizationNightmare Base, Ibex Empire 2100 I could not have been more wrong. Sgt. Mist 5th Battalion 7th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed
Day 1: Camp OutUnknown Unknown I woke up to find myself looking at trees. "You." Sgt. Mist 5th Battalion 9th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed
Day 1.5: In HeatThe Fringe, Eastern Zavrios 21:46 I only got a second to rest, as Applebloom was still in heat. Sgt. Mist 5th Battallion 9th day of the 10th month, Dawn of the Seed
Day 2: A New CompanionThe Fringe, Eastern Zavrios 0800 My body was hurting all over.
