Shas'O Log II

"I have recieved por'hui that someone with political power might be in a city far north of here. From what I can gather, she would be the highest ranking local official at the moment. I will be sending a Kor'Ui there in the morning. *Sigh* These creatures have been most helpful and willing to work with my Uash'o, for the most part. But why do I still feel they do not tell me the whole truth? What m'yen story do they hide from me? And why?"

Rainbow Dash bolted across the sky, scanning the ground with her sharp pegesus eyes for anypony that might need help between Twilight and the hospital. Thankfully, everypony seemed fine apart from being a little shaken up. She continued flying towards the hospital for another minute or two before she heard the cry of a mare in trouble.

"Sounds like it came from the Carousel Boutique. *sigh* Suppose I'd better see if Rarity needs any help too."

Rainbow Dash glided down infront of the Boutique, pauseing just outside the front door, trying to decide if she really wanted to deal with Rarity at the moment. After only a moment of thought, she took a deep breath and opened the door. As she entered, the little bell hanging above the door jingled to let Rarity know she had company. After a few moments Rainbow Dash heard the sound of hoof steps coming from the other room as somepony came to greet her at the door. However it wasn't the proud fashionista who entered the room, but Fluttershy, hair ruffled and looking rather exausted.

"I'm sorry, but Rarity isn' t seeing anyone at the moment, maybe you could come ba- oh, hello Rainbow Dash, I didn't know it was you, come on in. If it's Rarity you're looking for, you got here at a bad time. Opal went a little crazy after that awful earthquake. It took Rarity, Nurse Redheart and I, forever to get her to calm down."

Fluttershy wearily turned around, waved Rainbow Dash over and walked back into the other room.

"Rarity is right in here. Poor girl. Opal was quite panicked, and tore her up pretty badly when she tried to catch her. Oh, and sorry about the mess. I was just starting to clean up."

As Rainbow Dash entered the room her mouth fell agape at it's condition. Shredded fabrics were scattered across the floor, several mannequins were knocked over, curtains were torn and several important dresses Rarity had been working on for Sapphire Shores latest line of fall fashion layed in a shredded heap. Rainbow Dash had seen the Boutique in poor condition before, but this was a disaster.

"My life is ruined! My day at the spa with Fluttershy is ruined! There is nothing worth living for now! Waaah!" The fashionista was laying on a fancy red couch in the middle of the room with an annoyed Nurse Redheart standing by her side. Rarity had several small bandages covering her face, and Nurse Redheart was is the middle of wrapping another around Rarity's left forleg, all while trying to get her to hold still.

"Please Rarity, I'll be able to finish much quicker if you hold still, but you're really gonna need to co'operate, if you ever want this done." The nurse was struggling with the bandage as Rarity tossed back and fourth on the couch wallowing in misery.

"O, woe is me, The fall line was suppose to be delivered tomorrow! There simply is no time to start over now! I can see my career, my reputaion, both flashing before my very eyes. I just. Can't. Bare it!"

"We're lucky Nurse Redheart was getting dress measurements when the earthquake hit. I'm still not sure how she did it, but I don't think we wouldv'e ever caught Opal, if he wasn't here." Fluttershy walked across the room to Opal, who was sitting against the wall looking sympathetically over at her owner.

"Lets just say, I've delt with my fair share of uncooperative patents in my time." Redheart retorted, giving Rarity another look as she struggled to hold the patient down. "But I have to say, I've never dealt with a patient who had speed, claws, size, and agility going for them."

"Oh my, yes. she really can be the ball of energy. I know Rarity didn't aprove, but it was very clever using the fabric to tangle her up, and just long enough for me to safely use the stare to calm her down."

"And you just had to use the quality cashmere! Oh, why couldn't you have grabed the wholesale wool? WHY?"

Rainbow Dash walked over to Redheart, rolling her eyes at the way Rarity was acting over a few torn fabrics. Still, she was glad she stoped in because the Boutique was a lot closer to Pinkie than the Hospital and all the medically trained ponies in ponyville where earth ponies, simply no match for the speed of a flying Pegasus.

"Nurse Redheart, Pinkies hurt, or sick. I don't know what exactly. but it looked serious. Really I was ony my was to the hospital when I heard Rarity whining. I felt I needed to check."

"Alright, I was pretty much done here anyway." Redheart pulled a small pair of scissors from her satchel, snipped the end off the excessive wrapping and stuffed them back into her pouch. It was easier said than done, when you have hooves for hands. "Is somepony with Pinkie right now?"

"Well, yeah, of course. I wouldn't leave her alone. Twilights looking after her, but she looked rather exhausted herself after putting that shield up around ponyville. Heh, She looked sort of like you Fluttershy."

"Good heavens! Pinkie is hurt? Why didn't you say something sooner!" Rarity quickly hopped off the couch as fast as her wounds would let her and began barraging Rainbow Dash with a multitude of questions. "And what is Twilight putting shields around ponyville for? Was it because of the earthquake? What is going on out there?"

Before Rainbow Dash could respond she was interupted by the abrupt appearance of Spike, crashing through a nearby window, whizzing past their heads, and crashing into a grouping of mannequins on the opposite side of the room, and watching as several fell right onto him. Needless to say, Rarity and the others were quite shocked.

"Spike, what in heavens name are you-"

"The town is under attack!" Spike yelped, flailing his arms wildly and flying out from under the mannequins. Not realizing he'd somehow managed to slip into the most frilly, light blue dress one of the mannequins had been wearing. Rainbow Dash tried her best not to laugh like a fool as the little dragon tried to run, but instead ended up triping on the dress, crashing into a table.

*Snicker* "And the best way you could think to tell us was by crashing through Rarity's window, putting on that ridiculous dress and knocking over even more stuff? I mean, don't get me wrong, that was a wicked cool entrance up till the finale."

"What? No! I didn't do it on purpose! One of the jerks outside threw me!" Spike retorted while rolling around on the ground, fighting to get the dress off.

Nurse Redheart walked over too Spike, grabed the dress between her teeth and yanked the dress clean off him in one swift motion before spitting it out on the ground. "Just who the heck is bold enough to attack Ponyville, the very town the elements of harmony live in?"

"They call themselves Orks. Or at least I think they do. They keep saying Orks are better than everybody else, but they could just be talking about the nasty little animals they keep throwing at ponies."

"They're throwing ANIMALS?!" Fluttershy roared, startling everybody in the room. "What sort of sick monster throws helpless animals at somepony?! Why, i'm gonna go straighten this out, RIGHT NOW! Ohhh, I just hope I don't lose my temper, or somepony's going to be sorry they crossed me!"

Fluttershy marched out of the room with her friends following closely behind. she was headed straight for the Boutiques front door and was just about to open it, when spike zipped in front of her, arms outstretched, blocking her from leaving the Boutique.

"Woah, you really don't want to go out there Fluttershy. I mean, those guys are HUGE. Like, bigger than Big Mac huge! Some of them even as big as Celestia herself!"

"All the more reason to teach them that it's wrong to pick on creatures smaller than themselves. And not only could the animals get hurt, but they might hurt somepony in their frightened state just like Opal did to Rarity.

*Sigh* You're right as usual, Fluttershy. But Let me just warn you that those "critters" can probably take care of themselves just fine without you." After finishing his warning, Spike steped to the side of the door and opened it for Fluttershy.

"Oh, thank you Spike, thats very kind of you." Fluttershy gave Spike a little smile as she walked out onto the ponyville streets, followed by her friends. The mares could not believe their eyes, the town was being plundered by babarians. big, sweaty, smelly, loud, green babarians.

They were everywhere too. three of the them were running off with an old stallions cabbage stand.

"Get back here! You haven't payed for those!" He wheezed, trying to keep up.

"Yea we did. Stop trying ta rip us off!" One of the Orks called back.

"Teeth are not currency!"

The town mailmare was trying to get her pouch full of deliveries back from an Ork who had a rocket straped to his back.

"Those aren't for you mister! Give them back or my boss will fire me! I need this job!"

A couple of the smaller Orks were rooting for a Nob that was rolling in the dirt with a muscular white pegasus.

"AH come ON! Is dis all you got, featha back?" Roared the victor as he pinned the pegasus to the ground.

"NNNOOO!" The pegasus yelled back, bucking the giant off his back sending him flying into a nearby ally.

Several Gretchin, standing no bigger than a filly were chasing a screaming mare down the street. but after failing to keep up, they turned their attention to the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who watched in horror as one of the Gretchens knocked their icecreams right out of their hooves, letting them land with a splat on the cobblestone street.

"What is WRONG with you!" Apple Bloom screamed, as she and Scootaloo tackled the gretchens to the ground. After seeing the scenario unfold, Spike ran over to the three fillies, taking Sweetie Belle in his arms, doing everything he could to stop her from tearing up. While Applebloom and Scootaloo made the gretchens wish they were never spored. "Ugh, Oof. Please, n-no more kicking! We's sorry, we's sorry!

But the Ork that caught Fluttershys attention was a leather clad Ork standing a few feet away with his back to her, a whip in one hand and on the other, a thick leather glove he was using to safely grab up squigs to toss at fleeing civilians. Fluttershy wasn't going to stand for it any longer and marched up behind the Ork. Indeed, he was big, as Spike said they were. But she wasn't about to let it stand in her way. This bully needed to be put in his place. Gathering up all her courage in one deep breath.

"Now look here mister, I don't know who you are or where you came from. but around here we treat each other wi-"

"Eh, whot? Whos dat talkin?" He turned around to find who was making the racket only to find nobody there, as he looked straight over her head. Intellect was clearly a feature he was sorely lacking. He obviously made up for it with shear strength and brute force.

"Do you think you can go kicking and throwing creatures around just because they're smaller than you? Would you like it if somepony pushed you around just because you were smaller than them?"

After doing a bit of honing he found the annoyingly un-Orky voice was coming from below. Looking down he found himself staring face to face with one of planets strange inhabitants, as if it was not bad enough his Orky honor was under fire from a non-Ork, it was under fire from a creature that only stood as tall as his waist. She had somehow walked clean through his Squig heard without any of them so much as trying to taste her, let alone eat her.

"Ah, buzz off! Before I let me Squigs lose on ya!." The Ork flailed his whip through the air and stomped his foot on the ground, trying his best to run her off to no avail

"Now sir, I'm trying to teach you that you should treat others the way you, youself wish to be trea-"

"Dats it! Rip 'er apart mah pets!"

The Orks cracked his whip across the cobblestone street, grabed up one of the Squigs in his glove and threw it at Fluttershy. But instead of it getting agressive and eating her like it was suppose to, the thing only bounced off her head. making a little squeak in the process, rolling dazed across the ground.

"Oh dear, look what you've done!" Fluttershy cried, running to the Squig and putting a hoof on it to stop its rolling. "The poor thing. You should be ashamed of yourself!"

*Growl* "You broke my Squigs! Dey's not acting squigly like they should be!" The Ork raised his whip above his head, gripping it tightly in his hand as he prepaired to bring it down on the little pony. "It's just like da Boss said. If yah wunt anyfink done roit in this Waaagh!, you gots tah do it yerself!"

"Oh, m-my!" Fluttershy was to scared to move. All she could do was watch in horror as his arm started back down, straight towards her. Closing her eyes, she braced for the worst.

*CRACK*

*Whump*

Fluttershy opened her eyes a moment later to find Rainbow Dash hovering over the Ork. She had air-bucked him square in the jaw, knocking him on his back and sending several teeth flying in the process. Before he had a chance to recover, Rainbow Dash swooped down, grabing Fluttershy by the hoof and pulled her over to the other two mares.

"This is nuts, we need to get to Twilight! She will know how to fix this." Rainbow dash shreaked, still holding onto Fluttershy. she started looking around for a shortcut to Twilight. "This way, follow me!"

Rainbow Dash flew into the allyway, still dragging Fluttershy behind her. follow closely by Redheart and a few seconds later, a limping Rarity.

"Hnng, I wont be able to run such a distance with this leg." Rarity winced, accidentally putting preasure on her bandaged hoof. "Go on without me girls, I shall fend for myself!"

"We aren't leaving anypony behind. Nurse Redheart, could you maybe, carry her?"

"Sure thing, I've carried my fair share of injured ponies in my time. I even know a few shortcuts for getting through ponyville quicker. Where was Twilight last yuo saw her?"

"She and Pinkie were right outside Quills and Sofas befire I left. *Gasp* Rigth in the middle of the street if I remember correctly! They're bound to be noticed by these guys!"

"Then we shouldn't falter anymore." Redheart walked over to Rarity, lowering herself onto the ground to make it easier to climb on her back. "I think there's a few allys we can take to cut down on both time, and the chances of being caught. Follow me."

"Ugh, Dat runty little blue one kicked me!" The leather clad Ork mumbled to himself while rubbing his jaw. After a moment of laying on the ground he noticed his Squigs had surrounded him, they were giving each other looks as they glanced down at their master, still laying lazily on his back. The Ork knew what the look they were giving him ment. It said, "Master is without his whip. Master is vunerable. Master did not feed us this morning. And we...are...HUNGRY!"
