You're the beat to my heart

CHAPTER 2
A normal day

I woke to the sound of beating.
Not like you know fist to face or anything.
Like dubstep...
"Oh not again." I groaned as i rolled out of bed.
I forgot to mention she cleans the dishes everyday in thanks of me removing her rent so she stays here for free.
Well I did that for obvious reasons.
But you would think its nice, a roommate that cleans the dishes its just she cleans, * i facehoove, with wubs.
As i wobble down the stairs the dubstep started to shake the house and seemed to vibrate the sleepiness right out of me!
I was now fully awake!
I went downstairs and said good morning to my roommate.
"Morning Vinyl, do you mind turning that down just a bit please?" i asked
"Morning Octavia, but if i turn it down the dishes will clean slower." she said
"Its nice enough that you’re doing them." i stated
"Yea but you were the one who took away the rent i had to pay.” she said with a smirk
"Well ill be gone anyway ive got some shopping to do would you like anything?" i asked
"Nahh I’m good, later." she said as she waved goodbye
"Alright ill be back soon,” i said as i waved back and headed out the door
I got to the local market without a bother as most ponies tried not to disturb me because I always seemed in a bad mood.
Which of course was not it just seemed like it because of my well-dressed appearance.
I went to my first stand to get some carrots with a polite "Morning ma’am what can i get yah?" the stallion asked with a caring tone
"Just a bundle please."
"5 bits"
I handed him his pay took my carrots and continued onward.
I went from shop to shop.
From food to clothing to quills and paper to soap.
By the time I got back it was about a couple hours after midday and Vinyl was watching some TV.
"I’m back Vinyl." i called
She turned around and I literally immediately noticed the band aid just below her eye.
"Hey Octavia, what’s did you get I’m starved?"
I almost sprinting ran over to the table and set down the groceries and ran over to Vinyl.
"Vinyl what happened?!" I yelled, a little too over killing it
"I cut myself when pulling a knife out of the dishwasher, geez it’s not a big deal."
"You could have gotten hurt!" i yelled, again over killing it
"Why does it matter its just a little cut."
I realized how bad i over did it and tried to start over.
"Im sorry i don’t like seeing people in pain, are you okay?"
"Im not in pa-
I cut her off "again are you okay?"
"Im fine."
"Good now im gonna go cook us up some of your favorite." i said
Her eyes widened and beamed
"YESSS!" she yelled catching me off guard
I walked away and cooked us up some dinner which if I may add I did a rather well job at.
Afterwards i noticed it was dark out so i decided to clean up and head to bed.
"Im going to bed when are you coming" i called down to Vinyl after getting out of the shower
"Ehhh Later" she called back "Night"
"Goodnight"
