PrologueView OnlineThe New AdventurePrologueHello, My name is Nathan. I am an explorer, Or I try to be. I have spent most of my time in Lumbridge so far, But I have been to Edgeville and Varrock. Now you could say That the gear I have on now isn't the best, And I would agree with you, But a full set of steel gets the job done. What am I doing now? Oh, Just finishing a little job the Cook sent me to do, He needed some ingredients for the Dukes cake, And him being busy and all, I decided to go make the ingredients for him. Not as hard as it looks. I enter the castle kitchen and see the Cook has been waiting for me. "Do you have the top quality ingredients I have asked for?" I set the Milk, Egg, And flour in front of him and watched as he grew a big goofy smile on his face. "Thank you so much! Here, Have this for helping me." He tossed me a small bag of coins, It wasn't much but it would do. I waved at him as I exited the kitchen and walked into the castle hallway, I think I saw a rat in this part of the castle once but it was probably just my imagination. Its a sunny day as I step outside of the old Castle. I look around I see a few people selling armor and weapon's, Not as much as Varrock would have but I guess they got tired of how crowded it was. I look back down at my leather clad hands carrying the little amount of gold the Cook gave me for getting his ingredients to make a cake for the Duke, I start to wonder what I should spend it on. Don't really need new armor, Steel seems to be doing a great job. A new sword? Nah, I like my steel longsword. Maybe I should just put it in the bank? Seems like the best choice. As I make my decision I start to walk down the long dirt path that goes to the Edgeville bank. I wonder what the Dukes cake taste like, Wish I had some. It isn't long before I see a large group of people all standing around one spot, What could this be about? I make my way towards the front of the group and see something strange. A man in some weird looking red armor with spikes on the shoulders, I think that's Dragon armor but I'm not sure. He also has a green cape with a fist on it, I have seen these types of capes before with different symbols but I never knew what they stood for. He seems to be pulling on something stuck in a large rock, it looks like a... Sword? But it doesn't look like any kind of sword i have seen, The blade is pure White while the hilt is Midnight blue with a symbol of... A horse thing with a horn and wings... A unicorn with wings. What would they call that?. "Darnit! I cant get this thing out!" The man says in rage as he throws his hands in the air. " There ain't no one that could get this stubborn sword out if I cant!" Challenge accepted. I step out of the crowd and look at the man "How about you give me about 500 coins if I pull it out?" The man looks at me for a second before bursting into laughter "Pfft! Aha! Oh right, The big strong man in Steel armor is going to pull out the sword! Hahaha! I have the cape of ultimate strength and I couldn't get it out! Do you really think a weakling like you can!?" "Yes." The man erupted into laughter I was getting a little bit annoyed by the mans laughter, It was time to show him who was the strongest. "Be quiet! We will see who the weakling is after I pull the sword out!" I walked up to the sword and put my hands on the hilt and started pulling, The sword didn't budge. I started pulling harder and harder but it still didn't move. If only I was Zezima. I was thinking about giving up, But then I hear that laughter again... Hes going down. I started to pull with all my might, hoping that the sword would do something, anything. At last, I heard a *crack* as the crowd and the man went silent, I heard another *crack* I'm doing it! I am actually pulling the sword out! I smirked as a heard a few more cracks. Finally there was a *shing* as I pulled the sword out of the rock. I looked at the sword for a few seconds noticing there was an aura starting to form around it, cool. "Wh-What!? That's not possible! You cheated!" I looked back to the man as he had a look of pure rage on his face. "I demand you duel me, I will crush you!" The man unsheathed a long red sword, It was longer than most other swords I have seen, Hopefully longer does not mean deadlier. I started to realize that I didn't really have a choice in dueling him or not, So I raised my new sword hoping that it had some kind of magical force field or maby health regeneration. The man started running at me as I readied my new sword, He was about to strike when- *poof*
Chapter 1View OnlineThe New AdventureChapter 1I was getting ready to block the strike when- *poof* I opened my eyes to see nothing but black, It felt like I was flying but I couldn't see anything. The Flying feeling slowly slows down but is replaced by the feeling of someone hitting me in the head with a hammer, It hurt allot. As the feeling of pain goes away it feels like i'm laying down now, just floating in space. I start to feel something form under me but i'm not sure what it is, I then start to hear some birds in the distance, I try to move my body but I start to feel VERY tired. I try to stay awake but i'm just to tired, The last thought it my head was what was to happen to me as I dazed off. It seems like I can move my body a bit now, I'm not sure how long I dazed off but there was only one question in my mind right now. What... Happened... It felt like I was laying on... Grass. Did that guy get me? Was I dead? I didn't really feel dead. I opened my eyes to see trees above me, They looked different from the ones back at Lumbridge... I got up and looked around, I found no sign of the sword, the man in red armor, or the crowd. Whats going on here? Where did everyone go? I guess there is only one way to find out. I unsheathe my sword and start walking through the forest hoping to find someone that can answer my questions. About a minute into walking I start to hear a snake, I start to look around to see where the noise is coming from when I hear the bushes move behind me, I quickly turn around with my sword at the ready to attack anything that wants to have me for dinner, But what I saw made me want to question my sanity. It was a ... Chicken? No, It was a snake with the head of a chicken. What kind of abomination is this? That's when I looked into it's eyes. It's blood red eyes. They are so... I-... I cant look away from them... What is this? I tried to take a step back but my legs wouldn't move, I looked down in horror to see that my boots were stone and my legs were slowly becoming stone! What. Was this Medusa's pet from hell? I looked back to the Chicken Snake to see that it was about to attack, I raised my sword to slice it in half but I was too slow as it jumped onto my chest and pushed me down onto the ground, With it still on me it same up to my helmet and started to glare into it. The Darn thing was trying to make me into stone. If only I had a spiked helmet... My body started to become cold, Oh no. How much of me is left that is not stone? I closed my eyes praying to Saradomin that this strike would hit. I raised my arm that was holding the sword and stabbed at the Chicken snake monster, I heard a "Squaak..." as the thing slowly fell off my body. I opened my eyes to see what had become of the monster, It was bleeding on the ground. My body was slowly becoming warm as I could feel my legs again.I moved them around a bit to make sure they were working. It felt so good to move my legs again. I got off the ground and slowly got to my feet, I looked down at myself to make sure everything was alright, when that was done I looked back at the monster that almost turned me into stone. "What the Zamorak was that thing?" Well, Whatever it was, It was gone now. I started to wonder where exactly I was. I have never heard of a Chicken with a snake body, Why was I sent here after the man struck me? Was it some wizard that sent me here? Maby his sword was magic and it caused me to teleport here. I sheathed my sword and started walking through the dark trees again, There has to be some kind of path near here... I sighed as I once again started to think about the Chicken. Was that the only kind of weird monster that was here? What was next? an evil monkey turtle that would battle me? And what about the sword I pulled out from the rock? Maby it was really expensive, That winged unicorn made it seem like it was from some rich family. Maby if I can find it again and give it back they will make me rich? I need to stop asking myself all these questions when I know they cant be answered. After about an hour of walking through these blasted trees I did not find any kind of path or way out, Only more trees. I need to sit down for a second. I sat against a tree and looked infront of me, Only more trees. Was this a place only filled with trees and Weird monsters? I need to get out of here soon, Not sure how good I would be against a pack of Chicken snakes. I was about to go deeper in thought when I heard a little girl crying and what sounded like a wolf. "I wonder what the wolf's here taste like."
Chapter 2View OnlineThe New AdventureChapter 2I stand up as I hear howling again, It sounded like the crying and howling were nearby to the west, so I start sneaking toward the direction trying not to step on any leafs. As I slowly make my way towards the wolfs I start thinking about different ways to kill them. I will use my Rune's for this one, No need to get hurt when I can take them out from afar. It sounds like they are right in front of me now so I bunch up against a tree and slowly peer to the side, There is what look to be two wolf's made of wood slowly walking a... Young white unicorn with a Purple and Pink mane. Should I help it? One of the wolfs grabs one of the little unicorns hind legs and threw it against a tree, They are toying with the poor thing. I am not going to leave it here to die. I stick my hand inside of one of my pouches looking for the right runes I needed. There we go, One air rune and one fire rune, Just what I need. I put a rune in each hand as I remember what the magic instructor taught me. "Put a rune in each hand and then smash them together, Wait for the light to appear and then open them. With the element floating in between your hands, Throw it at your target as if you were throwing a ball at them, And make sure your not too close to the target or you might end up killing yourself." If I aim just right hopefully I'll be able to hit both of them with the ball of fire. I stood up from behind the tree. " Hey!" The wooden wolfs take their attention off the little unicorn and look at me. I push both of the rune's together, There is a orange light emitting from my hands as the wolfs begin to growl and walk towards me. I opened my hands and saw a floating ball of fire in the middle of them, The wolfs stop and look at the fireball with a look of curiosity in their eyes before it turns to one of fear, as if they know whats coming. I launch the fireball at both of the wolf's, One of them jumps out of the way just in time but the other gets directly hit in its side with the fireball, It lets out a howl as it instantly bursts into flames. The other wolf charges at me from the side, I try to reach for my sword but it turns out, that's exactly what it wanted me to do. The wolf latches its mouth onto my hand before I can grab the sword and starts shaking it like a rag doll, I try to force it out of it's mouth, but I learn it only causes more pain as the wolf did not let go. I start to loose the feeling in my hand so I kick the wolf in the side As it finally lets go, I look at my hand to see that blood is dripping out of the leather glove. I look back at the wolf to see its walking back and forth waiting for the perfect moment to strike. If I reach for my sword it will create an opening, But if I don't I will have to fight it with my bare hands. The wolf stops and lets out a growl as it gets ready to attack. Looks like I am going to fight a wolf with my bare hands. Oh Saradomin I'm going to die. It jumps at me as I manage to grab it by the throat before it forces me to the ground, It only causes me to loose more feeling in my hand as it's the only thing keeping the wolf from turning my neck into it's dinner. I use my other hand to punch the wolf to the side of it's face, The blow temporarily stuns it, which is just what I needed. I use both of my hands to throw the wolf off of me, Giving me time to get up and unsheathe my sword. The wolf jumps at me again, But this time I'm prepared. I jump out of the way as he tries to pounce on me, When he turns around he is met by my blade. The wolf lets out a slight whimper as I stab it between the eyes, It's ear twitches before closing it's eyes and goes limp. I use my foot to push it's head off my blade, I sheathe my sword and then turn my attention to the hand that wolf bit. Now that the adrenaline was wearing off it was hurting quite a bit, Nothing a lobster can't fix. I look through another one of my pouches to see what kind of food I have with me. Two lobsters, Three cods, And one Trout. I need to be more careful, wasting food would be the death of me out here. I grab one of the lobsters and start to eat it, I am relieved to feel it almost instantly start working as the pain in my left hand goes away. I look at my hand one more time before turning my attention to the unicorn. There was tears streaming down it's face and it's hind leg was still bleeding, It had a look of pure fear in it's eyes. With a hind leg like that it probably cant walk, And I didn't just kill two wolf's made of wood just so more can come and make the unicorn their food. When I took a step near it, The unicorn curled up into a ball and started trembling. Being as gentle as I can, I walked up to the small unicorn and picked it up, Maybe there is a path nearby that leads to a town that can fix it's leg so I can release it back into the wild. I start walking through the tree's again and it isn't long until I find a path, Finally, Now to see where the path leads to. I am walking down the path still carrying the unicorn when I see a strange hut, But I dont get long to inspect it before the unicorn starts... Barking? Didn't know unicorn's barked. It's not long before I hear another bark from inside the hut, A white unicorn with a purple mane comes out accompanied by a zebra, Both are a few feet larger than the unicorn I am carrying. The white unicorn looks a the Zebra and barks, It looks back to me with eyes filled with rage. It didn't take long to figure out that it was the mother of the injured unicorn, But if it attacks I will do whatever I have to do to survive. The Zebra uses it's mouth grabs a vial filled with green liquid and throws it at my feet, The liquid quickly spreads as gas rises from it. I try to move but the green liquid was acting as glue sticking my feet to the ground. The gas reaches my helmet and its not long before... Darkness fills my vision.
