When Shit Hits the Fan , Embrace It
Prologue : The Begining ..
War . No matter who it's between , may it be brother against brother , man against machine , or even man against alien , its still war . War is violent , stupid , and overall , usless . But no matter what happens , its needed to perserve a nation , or even an entire planet .
It happens anywere , at any time , for any reason . Even if its just a fairy tale used to scare childern in a world who has forgot all about it , it will happen .
People may not like it , or they might love it , but deep down inside everyone , they know that war could be a simple order away .
Many die fighting for what they belive in , or just to surivive .
War is destructive nd deadly . No matter if a simple scrimmish , or a full on world war .
Because War , War never changes ....
Hamburger Hill , to many , it was a vanlet attempt to retake a key position , to others it was a massacer the likes of that havenbeen seen since World War One . Two Divsions (I dont know if right ), made up of over 1,800 marines, charged up that god forsaken hill . 1,728 would retreat . Why am I telling you this ? Because , me , Tristan ' Charms ' Glenn , and my squad leader / best friend , Nick ' Rat ' Seymore , were part of the 72+ that died , went MIA , and were captured , in the worst lead charge . Now you ask how am I writing this on a computer when I died 43 years ago ? Well , thats the thing . I dont know , I am writing this on a scroll , yes a scroll , that is some how on the the internet . The thing is , instead of goin to hell like I should , I was took to a land were war is but a fairy tale to scare young one's . That place is called , Equestia .... Yea , a place ruled by horses ponys . Yes crazy , but after all is said and done , ya'll will think twice . Lets begin shall we ?
- Vietnam , 1969 . Location : Hill 937 - As we aproach from the south, I start to doupt the panning that went into this ,
' Hey , see that hill ? ' ,' Yea . ' ,' Lets throw 1000+ troops at it and see what happens ',' Okay ' .
" Rat ? " I say to my squad leader / best friend Nick .
" What do you want Tristan ? " Nick asks me annoyed . " Why the fuck did command think it nessacary to charge up a steep ass hill ?"
" Well you stupied grunt , this 'hill' is a important postion . If we take it , we have a chance to stop the zipperheads advance and perhaps win this war . "
" Really ? You think we can actually push back those cunt-eyed gooks ? " I say actually getting excited at a chance to make a diffrence .
" Yea , then we can finally go home " He says
" Oh look at these faggots ! I bet both of ya are slopey lovers " I hear a private say
" At least I wasn't caught fucking a dink ! " I yell
" At ease , both of ya ! " Nick yells , just then a rifle round hits the poor fuck beside me in the face , spraying my BDU with blood and brain matter.
" SQUINTYS ! " I hear another soldier yell before taking a 7.62 to the jugler spraying blood all over the poor guy to his left .
" GET TO COVER NOW " Nick yells , so I sprint to a downed tree right when a barrage of machine gun fire hits a poor medic .
" Tristan ! Set up the M60 and return fire ! " Nick yells at me after taking cover behind a rock not to far away .
" Alright . GET SOME YOU BASTEREDS !!! " I yell laying the LMG down and firing .
One after one , fall and fall to my gun , as I fire 100 rounds from my gun .
* CLICK *
" Fuuu .. " I am cut off by a grenade goin off , flinging me to the side , right in the line of fire .
Just then , a VC charges down their position , right towards me .
He gets half way to me before Nick peppers him with his M16 .
He runs outta cover toward me " Can ya walk ! " He yells holding a hand out towards me
" I think so man " I say taking his hand .
* Whoompt *
" SHI.." I am cut off by the mortar round striking right in the middle of me and Nick ...
' Oh god ... Am I dead ? ' I ask myself , questioning why everything is dark
' Head towards the light young man . All your questions will be answered soon . ' Says a distant sounding voice
Just then I see an unnarturaly bright light ' Ignorance is biss , eh ? ' I say to my self , while somehow moving toward the light .

As I start to wake , I notice that I aint on the wartorn hill I was . " The bloody fuck? Were am I ? " I say trying to stand up .
As I do , I notice that , at my feet , is a Browning Auto Rifle and a MI1919A4 .30 cal .
" What the fuck ? " I say first picking up the BAR and using the sling to put it on my shoulder , then lifting up the 40lb machine gun . As I look around , I see two duffle bag .
" What in the hell is goin' on ? If this is heaven , then why the fucking hell do I have two ..." I say trailing off
As I open the first one , I am shocked to see a S&W .44 mag revolver , a machete , and 12 MRE's .
" Okay , now I am kinda wierded out.. " I'v seen people hit by mine's , mortars , Maylasin Man-hunters, trap doors , and RPG's , but waking up in a unknown forest , with weapons and food , after being blown away by a mortar , I think it's safe to say , I aint in 'Nam anymore .
After putting the machete and revolver in a holster , and sheathe , I open the next bag . In it is 5 belts of .30 cal rounds , 12 Mags of 30-06 ( for the BAR ) and 10 .44 mag speed loaders ..
All I can say once more is " What the bloody fuck "
Just then , to the bushes to the right of me open up . Revaling a pony with a fucking Stenson a top its head .
" What the hay are ya " it says to me in a female , southern accent .
" What in the fucking hell ? "
