What You Wish For 3: The Book of Earth Pony

Kyle looked down upon the new military; they had been training for almost ten years now and were well prepared for the dangers they were going to face. As he stared down at them, he felt deep regret in his heart and he knew exactly why. Suddenly, a woman hissed from the shadows, “Its time you call your army forth to defeat the horrid Equestrians.”

Kyle took in a shaky breath; he straightened out the tie on his XXXXL suit before stepping forward. Once he stepped into the open, he could see the entire military lined up, tanks were ready, jeeps were being turned on, tanks were being lined up, and helicopters were being boarded. The troops looked up at Kyle as he stood next to their leader, Albrecht Freud, as the leader announced, “Around ten years ago, we lost our master commander as he tried to make peace with Equestria. But in a few hours, we will show those creatures that humans will not back down from a fight. I, as your leader, will guide you to victory in what will forever be known as The Universal War!”

As Albrecht took a step back, the two listened to the cheering of the soldiers. The low hum of a large metal disc was heard as the wind picked up; the giant portal that took ten years was finally being fired up for the first time. Kyle watched as the army slowly began to march towards the large wall of light that had formed, tanks were leading the way into the portal with soldiers on foot and in trucks soon followed. The soldiers were finally entering into Equestria to go to war.

Kyle turned around to see Albrecht and the mysterious lady; the two were looking at him as though they were staring at an alien. Kyle cleared his throat before saying, “Excuse me, I need to return to my office.”

Albrecht nodded his head, “We’ll contact you when we have entered completely, until then you are dismissed.”

Kyle nodded his head before walking off; he kept looking forward as he pushed the tears back in his eyes. He felt his heart sink as he realized he had just failed his own promise to keep the humans safe, he needed a new way to help stop the war. Kyle thought hard, his last attempt to communicate with Mike barely worked so a new way of stopping it was in order. Kyle then had an idea, he knew it was a risky idea but it would be worth a shot. Once Kyle had exited his building and into the field amongst the troops, he burst into a sprint. He began to zoom past the soldiers at superhuman speeds as he heard Albrecht shout, “What are you doing, Kyle?”

As Kyle began to approach the portal, he jumped into the air and turned around to shout, “I’m doing what’s right!”

ShadowThunder watched as Kyle passed through the portal, anger began to burn up inside her as she growled, “He betrayed us.”

Albrecht looked towards the woman as he asked, “What do you mean?”

Shadow slammed her hands to the desk as she shouted, “Kyle had a conscience attack, he thinks Equestria is the innocent side.”

Albrecht looked at the woman with a smirk on his face as he said, “He won’t be able to win their trust after betraying them. Let’s just move on with our attack on the capital, Ponyvillle.”

Meanwhile, in a small school house in Equestria, two Alicorns decided to come to the class as guest speakers. The fillies and colts looked up with mixed looks of shock, awe, and wonder as the two royal sisters demonstrated their lesson.

Celestia looked at the class proudly as she said, “After the first few dates, and on rare occasions after marriage, comes the fun part. So Luna helped me show you all how the kissing and cuddling worked,” Celestia looked over to see her poor sister shivering in the corner as she faced the wall before continuing, “the next part I am going to use some props.” Celestia began to use her magic to bring to her a collector’s edition Smarty Pants doll and a wooden horse’s head before announcing in a male voice, “Hello Smarty Pants.”

Celestia’s voice changed to a small feminine voice as she cooed, “Hello Woody.”

“I really like you, let us mate.” With that, the alicorn proceeded to slam the two objects together with force great enough to tear and break them apart. The foals looked on in horror as the two props died before their eyes, revealing the true brutality and violence of the moment they once thought was a sacred moment of true love at its finest.

Ms. Cherilee jumped from her desk as she said with a nervous tone, “Alright, princess, it was very nice of you to offer to teach these kids mating but that’s not really appropriate.”

Celestia paused, she looked down at the torn doll and broken model of a pony before mumbling, “You’re right; we need a volunteer from the audience. Anypony want to help demonstrate mating with me? Preferably a unicorn, that way we can show the foals what those horns are really made for.”

Luna shouted loudly out of anger, “For the sake of our parents, Tia, keep this PG.”

Celestia looked back at the class before slowly dragging her hooves off to the side of the classroom as she murmured, “I can see where I got my nickname.”

Suddenly, out of the peaceful winds and the avian melodies came a siren. Ms. Cherilee felt her heart sink as she said, “That’s not the natural disaster siren is it?”

The schoolhouse sat silent, their listened to the tone, the round rings of the siren made Luna blurt with eyes widening with fear, “It’s the war sirens…”

Before the class could panic, a large explosion tore up the schoolyard, causing the ponies to scream in terror. Applebloom quickly dove for the underside of Scootaloo’s desk as she wimpered, “Ah sure wish mah sister, or mah brother, were here to protect us.”

Scootaloo swallowed her tears of fear back as she said, “I sure wish Rainbow Dash was here, she isn’t afraid of anything.”

Sweetie Belle sniffed as she looked out the window and said, “Nopony can stop these big monsters.”

The entire class slowly crawled to a spot where they could get a view of the outside, where they saw a large giant tortoise with a pipe on its back and flat wheels on its feel slowly crushing the swings with humans like Alex following it.

A soldier looked at the schoolhouse from inside the tank, he looked back up at his commanding officer as he gulped, “But there are children in there.”

The commanding officer said grimly, “Do as you’re ordered private, or I will have you court marshaled.”

The man closed his eyes, he brought a small cross to his lips and whispered, “Forgive me for killing the innocence of the children.” He then pressed the big satisfyingly large button that fired the shell at the school.

The soldiers outside the tank watched as a chunk of the schoolhouse was torn to shreds by the power of the tank, screaming of children could be heard inside as well as a few adult screams.

Cherilee looked up at the two princesses as she said, “Aren’t you going to stop them?”

Luna shook her head, “Jumping out to something with that much power will only kill us, we cant get a clear shot without exposing ourselves.”

Another blast from the beast caused the ponies to fall to the ground once more, tearing the rest of the schoolhouse down and exposing the foals. A good solid thirty three and a half soldiers surrounded the school with metal sticks pointed at them, one stood forth and said with a grumble, “Take the children as prisoners, kill the women.”

Scootaloo suddenly felt her mane get violently tugged, she screamed in pain and began to resist as best as she could, she watched as Sweetie tried to use her magic only to get a cloth around her mouth which put her to sleep quite fast. Applebloom watched as one of the humans pointed his metal stick at the apple on another humans head, and with the push of a button the apple exploded. Applebloom and Scoots immediately put two and two together as they watched the soldiers point their sticks at the princesses and Cherilee, whom were asleep as well. Applebloom shouted as loud as she could, “Leave them alone ya big bullies!” As a reward for her bravery, Applebloom watched as one of the humans smacked her across the face with the blunt end of the metal stick.

In a daze, Applebloom watched as they pointed the sticks back at the princesses and Cheerilee. Applebloom closed her eyes when she heard one of the humans shout, “Ready… Aim… Fi” Before the man could finish, screaming and smashing was heard. Something big and heavy jumped from the sky and began throwing things around, at least that’s what Applebloom assumed since she had her eyes closed. Once all the smashing was over, the loud man said in a shivering voice, “Please… don’t do this. I beg you please! No!” A loud crunch could be heard and the man’s voice was muffled, all that was heard was the sound of heavy breathing and silent crying.

When Applebloom opened her eyes again, all she saw was a larger human standing while all the others were asleep on the ground. The loud man Applebloom heard last was tucking his head into his clothes as he lied in front of the monster human. The monster slowly turned his head to the princesses as he said in his deep voice, “We need to get you to safety.”

As the man sat there, untying the dizzy princesses, Scootaloo whimpered, “Help us… please.”

The large man shook his head as he said, “No. I need to protect the princess.”

Sweetie Belle squirmed towards the man while still tied up as she squeaked, “Please… we need to find where our hero is.”

The man didn’t turn towards them, he simply continued to untie and tend to the princesses as he mumbled, “That hero would be me, I’m the one who saved your lives.”

Scootaloo squirmed closer as she struggled to say, “No… we’re talking about a human named Alex.” The Cutie Mark Crusaders watched as his head straightened up, meaning he knew who they were talking about. Scootaloo nudged closer as she said, “Come on… the least you could do is untie us.”

The man sighed, he slowly lifted Scoots with ease and began to untie her. She eventually dropped to the ground and went to help her friends, biting the ropes off with minimal struggle. Once everypony was untied, the large human stood up and said, “Where’s Alex?”

One of the princesses managed to come around and said, “We think Alex is halfway across the planet by now, he’s in search of the Book of Earth Pony.”

The large human brought his hand to his face as he grumbled, “Well then we’re on our own.” He then proceeded to kick one of the large squished metal machines like it was paper craft.

Celestia got to her hooves, she sprouted her wings majestically as she cooed, “Not exactly, we have Lyra.” Celestia inhaled deeply before shouting at an incredible volume, “LYRA!”

Kyle waited for a few seconds, he soon saw a large fleet of robotic vehicles descend from the sky, bullets and anti-aircraft missiles began to fire in the fleet’s direction only to be blocked by a turquoise force field. The fleet of ships hovered over top of the burning school house while a small vessel descended, revealing Lyra in a green military outfit. When she stepped out she said in a serious tone, “Okay everypony get on the shi… Kyle.” Lyra began to narrow her eyes at the large human, making him back up nervously.

Kyle looked up to see all of its cannons point towards him, the barrels began to light up with energy as he bleated, “I’m on your side! I just took out one of the commanders to save the school.”

Applebloom, Sweetie, and Scoots all jumped in front of Kyle as they said with serious looks, “The CMC will not let you hurt this hero!”

Lyra paused, she looked curiously at Kyle before cautiously saying, “I’m keeping my eyes on you, if you so much as think of hurting any of us, you’re in for serious trouble.”

Celestia finally managed to get to her hooves as she urged them, “This is no time for chit chatting, we have to get somewhere safe!”

Lyra hopped into her airship as she said, “Follow me, we’re going to round up as many ponies as possible and head to Zecora’s place.” With that, every school filly and colt hopped onto the airship along with Kyle and the two princesses before they all took off into the air again. As the ships began to fly away with all the ponies on board, Lyra slammed a giant piece of paper onto the conference desk as she said, “We need to get serious, for too long we have been gentle and peaceful towards enemies. But not this time, with this device we are going to fight back and hopefully win the war.”

As Lyra spread the blueprint across the table, Kyle looked over it as he said with widening eyes, “How are you going to get this into space?”

Lyra smiled as she said, “It’s going to be built in space, that way it’s already orbiting the planet when we’re done.”

Luna looked over the project in awe; she then turned to Lyra and asked, “When do you expect the project to be completed?”

Lyra gently laughed inside her throat before saying, “Considering this project is already underway right above us, I can assume that it will be done in a few weeks. Seeing as I alone can make a fleet of airships in an hour, a device like this the size of Canterlot will take a bit longer.”

Kyle looked out through the windshield to see fighter jets whiz by while firing missiles at the force fields, Ponyville was in flames as the soldiers set fire to the trees throughout the land. Kyle took a deep breath before saying, “I can’t believe I am saying this, but I am now fighting against the humans.”

Eventually the ships landed near a cave large enough to fit a thousand planes, ponies began to disembark and enter said cave. Slowly as ponies filled the caves with their belongings while they cried and mourned, Lyra turned to Kyle and said, “As much as I want to go and help Alex, Ponyville is in more need of my tech. I’m gonna stay and keep the force fields up to make sure we don’t lose any more lives.”

Bon-Bon trotted up next to Lyra as she said, “May the heavens above have mercy on us.”

Kyle slowly turned towards the exit of the cave as he said deeply, “Come on, Alex, you need to help us now that we need you the most.”
