1: Art of the Dress...
Load Full StoryNext Chapter„Maybe a red ribbon around the neck down the sides?” Rarity nervously grabbed a roll of ribbon and let it float towards the unfinished dress. Stitcher looked at her in surprise as she put the ribbon on the dress. “Dear Miss Rarity, this blue ribbon doesn't match the color setting of the rest of the dress. I think we really should take the red on instead...” He held back a giggle as the white mares cheeks went slightly red. “Ohh! Rarity, where is your head today?!”, she groaned. “I once was told to gather some ideas, then draw a sketch and THEN start making the thing. To me it seems like the teacher forgot her own lessons.” He smiled at her to cool her down again. She gets angry quite easily. She went over to her sketch board and ripped of the cover sheet. It was the sketch of her last two dresses for the mares working at the spa. She then drew the basic shape of a pony. Unfortunately it was a colt-shaped one. “Erm, Ry? Let me do this, okay?” Stitcher tried hard not to laugh as he saw Raritys face getting red as a cherry, but he failed. “What exactly are you laughing at? It looks quite perfect!” - “Yeah, perfect!” He couldn't take it anymore and fell on his side. “I didn't know Octavia was such a stallion! Her workout really shows its results!” - “Oh, please! May we continue now?” - “I'm sorry, Ry. But where are your thoughts today?” He saw her blushing again, but couldn't think of a reason why, so he just ignored it. As he stood up Rarity began to speak with her serious, stiff voice: “Aaand there's another thing: I would appreciate it, if you would not call me 'Ry'. My name is Rarity. If you don not like it, just call me Miss.” - “Oh, I'm sorry, Rarity.” He looked at the sketch board again. “A tie? I thought we agreed that Octavia is no stallion?” - “Oh, don't be so pert! You know she always wears one. If we don't put it right on the dress, she's going to do so. It doesn't really fit, I know, but we better do it nicely before she does it... poor.” He didn't know that mare called Octavia, so he really couldn't tell. He just agreed to avoid further arguing. “Now, would you be so kind and get a tie from the store?”
