Yellow Sun: Part 1

Over 2000 years ago, there existed a planet known as Krypton. This planet was the highest form of intelligence in the Galaxy. Its science was so far more advanced than that of any other culture, that if they had ever used it against any other civilization, it would have meant total annihilation for the apposing side. But that wasn't the case, for Kryptonians never felt they needed to go beyond the boundaries of their world, though they were completely capable, they instead decided to keep to themselves and explore the realms of their own world than worlds beyond. That was say except for one scientist Jor-El. He realized that the cosmos was to large for them to simply ignore and he earned to explore it. However, he had recently created a family with his beautiful wife Lar-El and his son Kal-El. He loved his family, but his venture towards the stars was always there. Since he could never search the stars, he decided to look to other Universes in his time, In his searching through the advanced time and space telescopes he has created, he saw a distant universe however, that seemed very intriguing. It was a planet that civilization was beyond primitive in comparison, and who was constantly changed by a species he had never encountered before. A sort of 4 legged creature, with longish snouts and strange appendages such a Horns and Wings. these creatures were unheard of on Krypton, but other planets would have called them... Ponies. For years he yearned to discover more about this species, but he never got the chance. This discovery came 4 days before the Red Sun of Krypton exploded... 4 days before the end of his life and that of his wife... and 4 days before he sent his son to a distant planet of Earth, where he would become the greatest champion of Truth and Justice in the Universe.... Superman.

2000 YEARS LATER

Superman was chasing Brainiac out of the Earth for the 15,000th time, to him It was getting old. He always had to worry about stopping this criminal from destroying the Earth and doing what he did to Kandor to his new home. This time Brainiac had tried to shrink France for its culture in spices... but really it was a way to try to stay away from Superman and get SOME relative knowledge of Earth. It didn't go well.

"Its over Brainiac!" said Superman "I've defeated you pitiful excuse for a plan once again, despite all of your intelligence... you obviously don't seem to bright!"

Superman usually didn't like to brag, his moral values always taught him It was wrong, but for once he decided to rub it into Brainiac's face because of how easily he had dispatched him this time. "When even the FRENCH laugh at your pitiful excuse for conquest, its obvious that your losing your touch."

"Curse You Superman" the robot said in a metallic tone in his incredibly large moon-like 'War-World' craft. "You May Have Caused My Temporary Downfall, But Your Streak of Inherent Victory or "Luck" and The Superstitious Ones May Say, Have Given You This. But You Will Fail, and Earth Will Fall!!!"

Superman had heard enough out of him, not that he was scared, but because he realized that he would be back, and that not matter what, he'd be doing the same thing again, and nothing would ever change. Nothing ever changed for Superman really. It always was the same mundane and costly routine anyone could have, he saved Metropolis and the world a billion times, and people still died... people still hurt... people like his friends.

At the point, something snapped.

"No Brainiac, this time you aren't coming back!" Superman yelled towards the ship

"Question: What Does The Son Of Jor-El Inquire About That?" The android exclaimed

"It means... I'm taking you somewhere where you'll never hurt anyone AGAIN!!!" said the Blue Blur and he smashed in Brainiac's ship and accelerated to a distant Star System. Brainiac frantically tried to stop Superman with his several weapons stored on his ship, but to no avail. Superman finally reached his destination, a Wormhole recently created by a collapsing star.

"Its perfect", Superman thought "When I ram him into this newly collapsed star, it will rip his molecules across time and space, meaning they can never hope to reorganize and restructure themselves.. and Brainiac will die the same way Imperiex did"

As Superman rammed his ship near the Black Hole, Brainiac managed to get one more trick he had been saving... His last supply of Kryptonite. Firing the beam into Superman, he weakened and lost grip of the ship. The ship fell through the Black Hole, and Brainiac disappeared. Unfortunately for Superman, the Kryptonite had proven to much of a power drain and he fell in shortly after, though with much resistance. He eventually fell through.

A few minutes later, he finally regained consciousness and found himself hovering over a Blue and Green Planet.

"Huh" Superman thought. "I guess that Black Hole didn't throw me to far, probably didn't send Brainiac to far in the distance either"

Then sudden realization came to him "I almost... killed Brainiac? What is wrong with me? What right did I have to actually kill a sentient creature such as him, despite all of his evil intentions" Superman pleaded with himself. "I have to be an example for the people of Earth, being a killer is no the way to do that. I should know better... I AM better. How Stupid could I... be...?" Superman spoke until something caught his nigh omnipresent eyes

There was something wrong with Earth. It had the same Sun and the same Moon. But the continents, the oceans, the atmosphere. It was nothing like Earth was or ever would be. Superman then began to think he may have been thrown into the future, but a quick scan proved that this planet was in no way relaed to Earth... in fact NOTHING in the Solar System or Universe seemed all to similar to his own. Then he got a quick look at himself

"I look so... Cartoony?" He exclaimed "Physical makeup is the same, but completely different body structure." Supes began to ponder what was going on, but it didn't take that of a genius, let alone a Kryptonian Super Genius, to realize that he wasn't in Kansas anymore... or at least his Kansas.

"That hole in time and space, must of put me into another dimension beyond my own" Then it dawned on him "And I have no way back." Superman became worried, he didn't think of this scenario because of how compressed the Black Hole was, it definitely didn't seem like it could tear a whole into another Solar System, let alone Universe. "I need a way back, but I need to rest first. Ill survey that planet down below, and see what I can find"

It took less than a millisecond for the Blue Blur to finally reach his destination of the "Earths" surface. It was beautiful to say the least. As cartoony as it looked, its charm and elegance seemed to really shine. It was like Earth was before the pollution, before the industrial age. The leaves blistered in the wind and the plentiful rays of the Yellow Sun only proved to sharpen his powers and intellect even more. It was as if this new sun was even more powerful than the one back home. "It must be a newer star, formed only a couple billion years before."

But it also seemed... strange how a planet like this could be so similar in process to Earth. While '2-Dimensional' to say the least, it looked way to similar to that of earth, as he had noticed before, almost as if a carbon copy, manifested by someone or something trying to make it similar to Earth, but different enough not to be the same. Like a fantasy world off of a kid program... or its was just a huge coincidence, who knows.

He began to look around, and slowly began to take a nap under a tree. "At least they have these in this world" he said, as he ducked his head underneath the tree and began to sleep.

Then his super-hearing heard a rustle, he quickly jumped up to see what the noise was. Using his X-Ray vision he quickly found out what.

"Oh, its just and orange pony...Wait WHAT!?" Superman thought aloud. He quickly spun around to see what he was facing, a small equine like creature with Orange fur, Blonde Hair, and a... Cowboy hat. He also saw what seemed to be a Tattoo of sorts on her rump, which only succeeded in confusing the Kryptonian even further.

"What in tarnation' are ya suppose to beh" the small creature said. "You be'er not be on'e dose'creatures that work far 'Brainiac' or whatever'. I will defen my family fram y'all. I wont fall like mah other friends did"!!! The creature said with confidence, but of fear as well.

"...What?" said the startled Superman, but then he realized what was going on. Jumping towards the sky at breathtaking speeds, he could see more of this "beautiful world" had to offer, In the distance he could see metal constructs of foreign power, and electrical barriers made of science far more advanced than that of what this species could create. And then he saw the statues... of Brainiac.

"...no..." He said, Brainiac had arrived first to this new planet, and had made his mark on them.

Brainiac had taken over... and it was all his fault.

Author's Note

WHEW, now that was a tough writing. Well this is my first ever fanfic and I think its... decent. Im till getting used to the overall layout of my writing, and I do wish It could have turned out better.
