The world of Equestria, as the show depicts, is not quite as perfect as it seems. In fact, that is merely the outward appearance that those in power wish to be seen. The truth is a tragic past, and the Celestian Kingdom's people are living in the aftermath.

I am writing this because the show is too perfect. I love the show, don't get me wrong, but I can never help but wonder if the overly-happy, always perfect, always working out in the end, harmonious society and life is just what they want us to see? Is that show the equivalent of a propoganda film? What are their lives really like, behind that mask of harmony?

Do not read this if you are unaccustomed to depictions of cruelty and totalitarianism. It isn't nice. I sincerely hope it's interesting. Same shpeil about "feedback and comments and I'd love to hear from you blah de blah".
