Celestia receives a strange message from the Zebrican Plains, asking for four amethysts to be sent to a remote village that is constructing a telescope. A simple task, especially for an alicorn. But when Twilight interrupts Celestia as she is sending the gemstones, her spell backfires, injuring her and summoning four strange people from four strange lands.

How strange.

A guardsman from a land of dragons and snow. A scruffy teddy bear with a somewhat naughty look. A short, proud fox with lots of neat gadgets. A spaceman with a queer voice and an unusual choice for words. With the only being strong enough to send them back injured, it looks like our heroes are going to be spending a few days in Equestria.
