Chapter 1 - Case 17486

Previous Chapter

Breezy Wisp was the son of Seesaw and Sincerity. It is said that opposites attract and this was surely the case. During Sincerity's studies in the everfree forest, an enchanted tree entangled her and left her to die. Seesaw was given a project to find a specific wood for a table such that it could become any size for any occasion. Seesaw searched deep into the everfree forest when he heard a mare's cry. Seesaw rushed into the direction of her voice and found the tree tightening it's grip on Sincerity. Seesaw sprung in with his axe and with one cleave felled the tree.

Sincerity was freed and rushed to thank Seesaw. In the following discussion of how they wound up in this situation Seesaw described his project to Sincerity and she immediately pointed at the tree she had been freed from. Believing that this fated encounter was much more they started a fork from Seesaw's original company and worked many exotic furnishings.

Their company grew quickly and with it their love. Seesaw and Sincerity was married and they soon had a filly which they named Breezy Wisp.

Trouble brewed on the horizon as the century turned and with it the trends. Marble was popular now and Seesaw and Sincerity had to follow. The family had to move and Seesaw and Sincerity found less and less time for each other. Seesaw became wrapped up in his coworkers mishaps and would leave weekly to take part in them. Sincerity was left alone with just Breezy who was barely 2.

Sincerity eventually found another other and would wind up divorcing Seesaw splitting their estate down the middle, all the way except for Breezy Wisp. Believing that their tough times would not be fit for a foal growing up they sent her to a private school where she dormed, promising to keep in touch.

Things started out fine, letters and visitations was frequent and Wisp was fine with that. But when Wisp got his cutie mark, Seesaw and Sincerity simply messaged that they were busy and missed her cute-ceaƱera. Things only went downhill as contact became rare, going from weekly to monthly to bimonthly and stopping all together. Letters would stop getting responses and what little was returned was very generic messages.

Breezy Wisp tried to move on, spending time in clubs and with friends yet she could truely put Seesaw and Sincerity out of mind. Graduation time neared and with the entire school was talking about who'd they bring, Breezy finally sent a message to Seesaw and Sincerity to come and cheer her on for the ceremony. Her spirits lifted as there was a reply and Seesaw and Sincerity would come soon.

When the day of celebration came Breezy put on her gown and biggest smile for her moment on the stage. Looking into the crowd she saw two empty seats, those given for her reservations. Breaking into tears Breezy charged off the front of the walkway and left the auditorium. She ran and ran and wound up at the park across the street from her school. There at the center Breezy saw Sincerity and Seesaw at opposite ends with their new other and two foals each, happy, obvious to the fact that their firstborn was standing right there.

When the schools ceremony ended, Breezy's friends went out to look for her but all they found was her graduation gown and hat on a patch of earth sown with salt. No one heard from Breezy Wisp ever again.
