My new life... HAS PONIES?!

Hello, my name is Troy Newcomer. My day starts off as any other, but one thing is wrong. To explain what’s wrong let me start from the beginning. I woke up had breakfast same as usual; eggs, bacon, and toast you know the good stuff. After that I got dressed for school.

I slipped into a navy blue tee, blue jeans, and a black jacket. After that I walked to the bathroom grabbed a toothbrush and started scrubbing. Feeling a little drowsy I stepped into the kitchen and poured a cup of coffee. Being rejuvenated I saw the clock. It said 6:53 A.M.“Oh crap” I said with an annoyed expression on my face.

I grabbed my bags and headed out to my car. As I placed my bags in the back seat I noticed that I was standing in a puddle of some dark liquid. “Please don’t be what I think it is” I thought. As I raised my head I saw that the car had no more oil.

“Damn you god” I said aloud slamming my right fist down on the roof of my car.

Being very pissed I placed my bags on my back and started walking. Only half way there I decided to take a detour. This “detour” of mine leads to a forest that no one has ever taken. After walking for about twenty min I found what looked like a ruin of a once great castle. As my curiosity gets the best of me at times I stepped into the castle only to see a room with four windows and a large door.

“Well never thought I would see this before” I said while hearing my voice echo through the room. Because of my damned curiosity I walked toward the door, opened it and what I saw on the other side was strange to me. Why would anyone make two rooms that are alike next each other” I said. I entered the room but for some reason the door closed behind me.

I ran to it, turned the knob, and pulled, but nothing.

So I tried again and again but it would not open.  After multiple fails I gave up and looked around. “Man how old can this thing be” I said looking over every corner of the building. After a while of looking I found the same door that I came in from the first place. I walked to the hunk of wood, opened it, and ran out.

As I reached the outside of the castle I saw something strange. Everything was so colorful that it hurt my eyes. “AH!” I screamed while covering my eyes from the sun’s harmful rays of light. “Uh… what time is it” I said aloud lifting my watch eye level “8:33, crap what else could go wrong.” Not wanting to be anymore late than I already am, I ran through the forest only to make it out with a few branches smacking me in the nose.

I made it out of the forest to only a dirt road, small cottage with about twenty – thirty animals, and a sign in front of me that said Everfree Forest. Thinking that someone could help me I walked to the small animal infested cottage. I knocked on the door and heard a warm calming feminine voice say “just a minute.” I waited then saw the door open revealing a yellow coated, pink mean Pegasus.“AHHHH! Stay back, don’t hurt me” the creature said in the same calming voice as earlier.

“Holy shit a talking horse” I thought to myself. Granted I didn't seem like it but I was scared, but I did have to calm her down. “Whoa, whoa calm down I don’t want to hurt you” I said somehow actually calming her. “Well if you don’t want to hurt me than who are you?” she asked.“I’m Troy Newcomer, who are you?” I asked keeping a distance between the two of us.

“I’m Fluttershy” she said starting to warm up to me.“Well that’s a cute name” I said seeing her blush a little.“Oh thank you” she said.“You’re welcome but do you know where the nearest town is” I asked before thinking 'why would talking horses have a town.“Yes, Ponyville is right this way just follow me… if you don’t mind that is” Fluttershy said.

Ten minutes of walking and I can hear Fluttershy’s stomach growl. Remembering that I had an apple in my lunch bag I pulled it out. “Here you need it more than I do” I said placing the apple in her hooves.“Thank you” she said taking a bite out of the apple.  I could see the apple’s juices run down her chin. The sight of it made me chuckle on how cute that was.

Fifteen minutes later we reached Ponyville and knowing Fluttershy’s reaction to me I knew what everyone else's will be.

“M-m-m monster!” Three scared to death small ponies screamed alerting the rest of the town. Soon there was nothing but locked doors, sealed windows, and screaming ponies.

“Well that went better than I expected” I said to Fluttershy who was hiding behind me, scared of the screams that were given. At the center of the town a tan coated, gray maned pony knocked on a door attached to a tree house.

The door opened and a lavender unicorn with purple mane that had a strip of pink in it said “oh, hello Mayor Mare what seems to be the problem.” She asked with a hint of concern.

“Twilight you and your friends have to help, there’s a monster in town and it seems to have Fluttershy” said Mayor Mare. The information she just heard frightened her.Knowing Fluttershy for just the past hour I could tell she was an individual who didn't like to be seen outside of her home. There was a burning question that kept bothering me so I said “uh, Fluttershy, not to sound rude but, why there are three butterflies on your bot-AHHHH!”

I was interrupted by some force pushing me to the ground. I looked up to see five different ponies standing in between me and Fluttershy. “Hey what was that for?” I asked seeing surprised faces on their faces.

I guess they didn't expect a creature like me to talk.
