CHAPTER 3

The ride home was nerve racking. Not because of what happened at the daycare. I figured whatever it was it wouldn’t be a big deal. What was nerve racking was Miss Diane’s nonstop talking.

“Hey! Hey! Salem! When are we gonna get there! I want something to eat! Maybe some cupcakes! Oh! can I call you Sally?! No wait that’s a girl’s name hehehe.” This continued for a good twenty minutes in my packed car, which could only hold five people. It was now holding eight. Finally Miss Renae interrupted.

“Pink…er I mean Diane please, would you kindly be silent so Mr. Salem can concentrate on driving this puny moving box.” Pink? Was that a nickname? Wait, puny?!  How was I supposed to know I would have six strangers and a kid in my car at any time? I usually drive myself! This car is a luxury to me.

As we pulled into the driveway of my apartment building I could hear sighs of relief, one of them being my own. We filed out of my car and walked up to room 305 where I was staying temporarily until I could find a decent and affordable home. My apartment was small but it was good enough since I figured they wouldn’t be here for long. Then again I wasn’t looking forward to taking them anywhere else so I figured I would drag it out some to stretch myself out.

“Do any of you want anything to eat or drink?” I asked immediately heading towards the fridge. Offering food was always a good icebreaker so I usually started with that.

“I’d love some apple cider right now.” Said Rachel

“Sorry Rachel I only have cherry. Is that ok?”

“I guess.” She grumbled not seeming pleased.

“Anyone else?” I asked looking at the other five. They all looked at me with serious faces. All except Diane who was looking around in every corner. Probably for ingredients to make those cupcakes she was talking about. Which didn’t sound like a bad idea considering everyone was being so serious. Maybe it would lighten the mood some.

“Salem, I’m sorry but none of us are really in the mood for anything sweet. Well none of us except for Pinkie.”

“Who?” I asked, but immediately facehoofed myself mentally. Who else could it be except the girl in all Pink? “Never mind” I waved off the question. “Please continue.”

“Well you may want to sit down for this because you’re not going to believe me at first”

“Nah I trust you”

“Well that’s what you’re not going to believe me about”

“What do you mean by that?”

This time it was Renaes’ turn to speak.

“Well darling why don’t we start from the beginning?” she said

“And where would that be?” I returned

“Well we ain’t exactly from around here.” Alexandra answered my question

“Yeah I know most of the town and I knew I hadn’t recognized you. So where are you all from?” that’s when “pinkie” stuck her head up.

“Oh! I know! We’re from Equestria!!” she said with a giggle. I started laughing thinking she was joking; but as I looked around none of the other girls seemed to even try and attempt to correct her in any way.

“Wait you’re serious?” I asked confused for the umpteenth time today.

Rachel spoke up “What we meant when we said “we aren't from here” was that we are from a whole different world” she said with complete seriousness

“I believe you already recognize us at least our normal forms at least” Tina continued

“What are you talking about? I told you just now I've never seen any of you before in my life!” I yelled starting to become extremely nervous

“Well maybe this will jog your memory.” Tina answered as she pointed a finger towards me. Right before my eyes a picture popped up out of thin air. A picture of six ponies and a single dragon. I looked at the picture and then back at the girls and the boy. Realization had crept on me slowly and I smacked my head at the realization that I should have realized this sooner. All the people standing around me matched the look of the seven in the picture. All except for one important detail. The picture had ponies. The humans in front of me definitely weren't ponies. Even if they could make a picture appear out of nowhere I wasn't easily fooled. Apparently they knew what I was thinking because just as I was about to say something Rachel stepped in front of me and had removed her shirt.

Now normally any guy would be staring at a certain area of the female body. However I was distracted by the pair of cyan wings that were sticking out of her back! I don’t care who you are, if a girl has wings and starts flapping them like she has been doing it her whole life, you definitely aren't looking at her chest.

“Believe us now?” she said through a gloating grin. I just looked at her and the rest of the group Tina and Renae started floating all my glass wear. Spike proudly started spewing small bursts of green fire. Fiona summers whom had continued to stay quiet the whole time in the corner of the room finally decided to join in and simply lifted her shirt to reveal her wings and nothing more. Finally after taking all this in and making sure I wasn't hallucinating. I passed out.
