"He said that we aren't good enough to play console games like him and Princess Luna, so I made a bet!" "Uh... what kinda bet we talkin' bout, sugarcube?" Applejack asked, unsure of why she had come in the first place. "An' what about that package?" Twilight levitated out a tall but thin package with a book tied to the top, "I bet him that at least four of us play through a set of twenty games all the way through. And since you three are the most adept at games, I have called you here to help." She pulled a string from a knot and undid it, causing the book to fall, but Twilight's magic kept the paper around the package. Rainbow Dash picked up the book and started to read the title aloud. "A Pony's Guide To Video Games?" She turned the book to read the back cover, which had a box of text set in a retro 16 bit pixel style and font, "For all the beginners or "Newbs" to video games and their accessories. Authored and Illustrated by-" She gulped before continuing, "-Eon Spirit... Well, at least he knew what he was talking about." "What's in that package Twilight?" Pinkie yelled, bouncing over to where the package still levitated. Twilight felt she could finally reveal what hid behind the thin strips and released her magical grip. As it fell, the paper seemed to disappear revealing a stack of at least fifty games, all neatly stacked. "Well, ah guess if it's ta prove somethin' ah could play...." Applejack muttered. Twilight didn't even need to ask Rainbow or Pinkie, as they had already set up the PonyBox, got out four controllers, and were on the couch. "What game should we play first Twi?" Rainbow wondered as Twilight read through the first chapter, "The book says that there are five basic genres of games: Platforming, Action, Horror, Simulation, and Puzzle. It then goes on to say that we should start out with an easy game from each genre. Which one do you guys wanna try first?" "I want a fighting game!" Rainbow roared. "I want a colorful game!" Pinkie declared. "Ah don't know, Ah'll play whatever game ya'll pick." Applejack grunted, ashamed that she was the one of the four that didn't know anything about games, other than how to use a controller. "I found one game that's colorful and is in the fighting sub-genre!" Twilight shouted as she stuck a disc into the small console. The screen blew up into an asortment of light as words appeared on screen. An announcer with a deep voice narrated, "SUPER SMASH PONIES" Before it sent them into a character select screen, showing eight very familiar ponies and a few characters from other games. Pinkie squeed at the sight, bouncing in excitement, "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Look I'm in there! And so are you guys and the... Princesses? Sweet!" Twilight picked up the game case and read through it again, "Super Smash Ponies: Harmony Edition. Now contains Elements of Harmony and Princesses." "Well, ah guess we should start now." Applejack hopped up as she picked Mario. "He looks like a good ol' fashioned worker!" "Oh oh, this person looks cute and cuddly!" Pinkie giggled as she picked Kirby, "And pink!" "And I've played this guy's games, he's so fast!" Rainbow said as she picked Sonic, "Almost as fast as me!" "I guess I'll play as her," Twilight gulped as she picked Zelda, "She is the closest match for me, after all." As soon as Twilight picked her character, the screen flashed and the map was randomly selected. Princess Peach's Castle. They all leaned forward as the countdown timer started. 3... 2... 1... GO! Twilight teleported Zelda next to Mario, but before she could do anything, Applejack grabbed her and sent her flying against Sonic, who was charging up a spin dash. Twilight retaliated by shooting out Din's Fire, setting both Mario and Sonic ablaze. "Ha, you guys are no match for my... strategy?" Twilight muttered just as Zelda was sucked up by the pink blob known as Kirby. "Wha-" "Hehe, I just ate you!" Pinkie giggled as Kirby swallowed Zelda, making a crown and long hair to appear on his head. "And now I look like you!" Pinkie flew over to Mario and Sonic who were currently fighting and decided to use her new power. After pressing B, a blue diamond surrounded her and bashed both Mario and Sonic(whose fighting had raised their damage percent way high) away and knocked them out of the arena. But she wasn't safe as Zelda had grabbed a hold of her and proceeded to throw her off the screen as well. "So, Pinkie has two and Twilight has one. I gotta step up my game!" Rainbow Dash yelled as her and Applejack made a silent pact to work together and respawned. Mario shot a fire ball at Zelda, whose flinch gave Sonic just enough time to charge a homing attack and hit her, sending the princess flying off screen. "Oh my Celestia!" Twilight grunted, already frustrated. "Calm down, Egghead, You only died once." Rainbow tried to console Twilight(Half-hoofedly) and Twilight responded with a groan. The second Zelda spawned, Kirby used Nayru's Love and sent her flying, right into a Spindash. Zelda was shot high in the air, but not off screen, to Twilight's delight. Soon Zelda had landed but, instead of attacking, Twilight held Down and B, Making the princess transform into her ninja form: Sheik. She teleported and appeared next to the other three, who had been fighting, but the explosion caused all three of them to go flying. "....Lucky shot." Rainbow muttered before making Sonic Spindash attack at Sheik, who dodged it, only for Mario to smash attack her, sending her flying off screen. "CELESTIA DAMMIT!" Twilight screamed. "WHAT AM I DAMNING?!" Roared a thunderous echo of Celestia. Twilight ignored the princess and continued to play, quickly being sucked by kirby. But, instead of being swallowed, Kirby waddled to the side, with Zelda still in his mouth, and jumped off the ledge, Killing them both. "If I was going down, I was taking you with me!" Pinkie yelled, mocking an action voice. Twilight looked away from the screen to see the three mares bundled together, laughing their tails off. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" She screamed, lunging at the three girls. ~~~ "Okay, that was a bad game to start off with." Twilight stated, breaking the game disc in half. She turned to see her friends on the couch, each with a bandage on their heads. "What should we play next, girls?"

"So I was thinking that, since I got a little competitive-" "A LITTLE? Twi, that was way more than a little." Rainbow scoffed, interrupting her friend. "-I concluded that we should play a different genre. And then I thought, "What makes friends bond more than being scared half to death?" So I found this." Twilight continued as she threw down the game case. It was riddled with cracks and rust, but upon closer inspection, that was apart of the artwork. Across the top, the title read: "Silent Ponyville 3" in terrifyingly rustic letters. "Um... this 'ere game looks kinda scary, sugarcube." Applejack gulped. "That's the point! Now sit down, shut up, and play!" Twilight demanded. "I will not lose this bet... too much is at stake..." ~~~~~~~ The game started in what looked to be a restaurant with the name "Happy Veggie" written on the wall. The room was completely empty save for a mare, sitting at a table with her head in her arms. The camera panned in quickly to show her waking up from an apparent nap, showing her quite young face. "She looks our age!" Pinkie giggled, before having a realization, "That means... oh I hope nothing bad happens to her!" The game cut to the mare talking on a phone to what appeared to be her dad, with a stallion in the background paying a little too much attention to her. She hung up after noticing him, started to walk away, only to be followed by the Stallion. She quickly turned around, obviously frustrated by the potential perv. "Why are you Following me?" The mare yelled. "I'm sorry, miss Feather Masonry. I have been hired to find you." The stallion replied. "My name is Cart Doug Wheeler, but most people call me Douglas." "Well good for you. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go." Feather said, turning away. She started walking away, but he was still following her. She started speed walking and, to her amazement, found a Mare's Restroom. ~~~~~~~ "So what do you think of the game so far, girls?" Twilight asked, shifting her gaze from the screen to her friends, who were heavily invested, even though they were only about three minutes into the game. "I like it! Although I can tell it's going to get complicated later!" Pinkie replied, still smiling. "Ah like 'er, she got some backbone!" Applejack complimented, and Rainbow agreed with a nod. "Yeah, Most games have the female always protected by a stallion, But not this game!" "Okay now lets see here..." Twilight muttered as she and her friends quickly went back to the game. She moved Feather over to the mirror where a circle with three smaller circles was painted on with a blood-like substance. A save point. She moved Feather over to a stall and clicked A. Knock, knock, knock. "Well that wasn't so bad." Rainbow muttered as she put her arms down, expecting a jumpscare. "Where am I supposed to go?" Twilight wondered as the game refused to let her leave through the door. "Try that window ther', Twi." Applejack instructed, pointing her hoof to the left side of the screen. She did as she was told and, to her surprise, went through the window. Feather appeared in a back alley of sorts that seemed to stretch forever. She walked as far as she could but, eventually, her path was blocked by a van. "Couldn't she just, y'know, jump over it?" Rainbow asked, doubting the intelligence of the game's creators. "She is a pegasus after all." "I could care less. Oh hey, a door!" Twilight shouted, finding a door along the building. "I think this is a mall, because I've never seen any single store this big." She opened the door and was immediately greeted by a cutscene. It showed a closed view blocking off the store and focused on Feather. She ran forward and looked down to see an odd object: a gun. she moved her wing down and picked the weapon up, examining it. Suddenly, a loud noise filled the room as she turned and saw- "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" Pinkie, Rainbow, and Twilight screamed in unison at the creature that appeared on screen. The creature was a tall, menacing thing, with thick, all-encompassing arms. Some sections of the creature's arms seem to be stitched together and bandaged up. its face seemed to be completely taken over by amorphous lips and it bore a blood covered nurse gown. "Kill it! Kill it with fire!" Rainbow yelled, wings covering her face. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" Pinkie quickly said over and over. Applejack just looked at the screen indifferently as Twilight, extremely frightened, began firing as many bullets as possible at the creature. When it finally fell, the name "Closer" appeared on screen. "That was...." Twilight started, taking heavy breaths, "Awesome!" "I love this game, its so suspenseful!" Pinkie bounced. "Uh... Applejack?" Applejack's poker face was disrupted by a slowly growing grin and soon that grin stretched from ear to ear, "Ahahaha, Ya'll are a bunch a' pansies!" Applejack burst into laughter, "But, ah have ta' admit, that was pretty bucked up." "Wow Applejack..." The mares went through many more monster(and scream outbursts), got several items, and just solved a book puzzle and went through a door. As Feather came out, a cutscene started. A rather old looking mare stood at the end of the hall, watching Feather walk toward her. " Hay wait, what's going on? Where is everypony? Those weird monsters..." Feather asked, a little annoyed. " They've come to witness the Beginning. The rebirth of Paradise, despoiled by mankind." The mare exclaimed prominently. I am Claudia." "So?" ""Remember me, and your true self as well, also that which you must become. The one who will lead us to Paradise with bloodstained hooves." She demanded. "Claudia? Right? Did you do all this?" Feather yelled, even more annoyed, "And what about those monsters?" Claudia sighed and shook her head before looking back up at Feather, "It was the Hoof of God." "AAHH!" Feather screamed, clutching her stomach as her vision blurred. When she could finally see again, Claudia was gone and the elevator ahead of her was now open. "Do you guys hear that chanting? It's really creepy." Rainbow said, earning nods from the others. Twilight headed into the elevator, worried of the horrors that might be in there. ~~~~~~~ Feather stepped out of the elevator into a completely dark room. She turned on the flashlight, and was horrified by the area around her. The walls and floors were covered in blood and mold, gurneys with bodies filled the halls, and a single ladder leading down sat in front of them. "Uh guys, I don't think we're in Equestria anymore..." Pinkie gulped. They were surprised that she was actually frightened by this. It must have been REALLY creepy. Twilight moved Feather down the ladder, which seemed surprisingly long, and as soon as they reached the bottom, a cutscene played. She found herself in a small dirty room at the bottom of the mall. There were six holes on the sides, Some of them covered by grates. She turns around and a huge worm like creature smashes out of one of the grates. "HOLY LUNA!" All four screamed in unison. The worm opened a slit in it's head to reveal a very human like mouth. "KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!" ~Meanwhile~ "Goodnight, Celly!" Luna yelled after her yawning sister, who was on her way to bed, before marching back into the room. "So what movie should we watch now?" Eon Spirit, who just spent the day watching movies with his mom and aunt, shook his head before pulling out a laptop, "I need to check up on something." He smiled as the princess plopped down in front of the laptop. "What's this all about?" Eon's grin grew wider, "I made a bet with Twilight that within the next two months that I'm here, she has to prove that she and her friends are good gamers by beating at least twenty games. I even left her the beginners book I wrote." "Any stakes?" "Yes, If I win- "HOLY LUNA, KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!" The laptop speaker blared, causing Eon and Luna to nearly fall off the couch. "I bugged the library with cameras and mics." "Sneaky, I like it."

Twilight had been traumatized by the hospital and Pinkie was scarred by the hellish amusement park. Twilight couldn't even play anymore and had to give up the controller to Rainbow Dash, the only volunteer. "Uh, Applejack? I don't think the others are gonna be much help." Rainbow muttered as she and the blond mare turned their heads to see both Pinkie and Twilight, huddled together in the corner, mumbling uncontrollably. Applejack sighed, "Ah thought ya'll would be brave enough t' sit through a game, but ah guess not." Rainbow moved Feather through the door, whose tarot puzzle they just solved, and ended up in a rather disturbing hallway; The walls were completely covered in blood and rust, the floors were primarily comprised of rusted grating, and the ceiling was so black that it seemed like an endless void. "Ugh. I bet that place smells disgusting." Rainbow gagged, pushing forward. Applejack sniffed, gagging before looking at her friend, "Just like you? Ya know you could use a bath, right?" She ignored her friend and moved Feather to the door. As she went through it, a cutscene started with Claudia Wolf and Mincemeat Smith. "What do I want?" He asked, voice raised, "Well for the two of you to die. That would be nice," He sighed as he paced around the demonic looking chapel, "Then I could relax." Claudia gasped, "When did you stop believing in God?" He stopped pacing and rushed to a spot in front of the mad mare, "But I do believe in Her. In my own way. Only I haven't lost my mind like you." He finished before turning around to see Feather slowly pushing the door closed, "And the guest of honor has arrived!" The camera then cut to show the side of Mincemeat, not allowing the viewers to see Claudia or Feather, "Come on Feather, Its time for you to finally kill this crazy-" The stallion was interrupted by a sudden gush sound. the camera panned to show that Claudia had just stabbed him with a rusty dagger, leaving Feather in awe. "Rainbow's wings flared as she watched the scene, "That double crossing pig! I actually liked Mincemeat's character!" Rainbow looked to her side to see that Pinkie Pie had seemingly recovered from her catatonic state, and was leaning forward in an anxious way, "Uh, Pinkie? You alright?" She responded with a furious nod. "If you won't birth god... then I will!" Claudia screamed as she swallowed the 'Divine' fetus that Feather had just thrown up, much to the girls' disgust. "I will birth an.... eternal.... PARADISE!" Claudia screamed as a monster rose from a mysterious hole behind her, and dragged her through. Feather rushed over to the now ravaged hole, seeing only darkness, "Well... I guess I have no choice..." She muttered before jumping in. Feather slowly rose up and looked around, only to find herself in a circular room. She looked forward to see... "AHHH" The mares screamed, including Twilight who had just recovered. they saw, what appeared to be, a giant, monstrous skeleton, with flesh burned on to the bones. Within seconds, Rainbow was thrusted into gameplay, and was not prepared. She stupidly ran around the arena, unsure of what to do. "Kill it!" Twilight yelled, sitting on the edge of her seat. "WITH FIRE!" Pinkie finished, as Rainbow pulled out her Flamethrower and unleashed on the God. Within seconds it died, forcing another cutscene. ~3 minutes later~ "So... what did you think girls?" Twilight asked, holding the game disc in her hand. "Was it good?" "Twilight." "Yes?" She responded, looking at Pinkie who kept giggling even though Rainbow was completely serious. "Break that disc... Right now." Twilight sighed, knowing it would come to this. She showed her friends horrible things, and those things needed to be gone. She shook her head before snapping it in two. "Hey, Applejack?" "Yeah, Twi?" "I'm surprised you were so brave, you deserve something." "Well... ya'll can congratulate me later, I need some sleep."

Twilight screamed into her mic after seeing Eon Spirit, her current roommate at the library, levitate and shake Spike, Whose expression was less than pleasant. "Put him down!" Luna flinched at the sudden outburst and was about to question it, but Twilight started to yell at the lunar protege, "Is everything okay, Twilight? What did Eon do?" Eon's ears perked after he heard his mentor's voice and ran into the bedroom, expecting to see her, "Luna? I know I heard you!" He looked around the room before meeting the glare of a certain purple unicorn, who was currently ignoring the Princess, "What?" He grunted, sending her a confused look. "Why were you torturing Spike?" "I found a few gems missing that I was going to use for enchantments," He replied flatly, walking over to the desk and seeing the HD monitor that sat before her, "Oh, What game are you playing?" "Minecraft, now please go, I'm trying to start." She turned back to see a red tinted screen with the words "You Died" written with her score, which was zero, "What the hay?" Luna giggled as she chopped at wood with her new, stolen ax. "I'm sorry, did you need that?" Twilight sighed and clicked "respawn" before appearing back at the hut. She had started the server a week earlier and gathered enough supplies, But the Princess decided she wanted some of that, even though this was her first time on the server. "Of course." Luna looked at her screen bitterly, disappointed that Twilight didn't get that she was mocking her. She about leaped out of her royal throne after seeing a black and green face flash on screen. "OH CELESTIA!" "Yes?" Said Celestia, peeking in to the game room. "Oh, what game are you playing?" "Minecraft. You wanna play? I've been trolling your student." Celestia shook her head, "No thank you, sister. I never liked these..." Celestia shuttered as she picked up a disc labeled "Silent Ponyville", "...Games." "You're so uptight, Tia." Luna sighed, turning around to see an empty room, "And of course you left... Rude." As she turned back, she was greeted by an all to familiar red tinted screen, "Celestia damned Creeper." "I don't damn anything that doesn't deserve it!" The sun goddess screamed from outside the room. 'Of course she heard that...' Luna heard a rather loud bang from Celestia's room and decided she needed a break from the game. She closed out PegaSkype and shut off Minecraft before getting up to find what her noisy sister was doing. "Uh... Tia?" Celestia's room across the hall usually had the door open since nobody but the sisters came this high in the castle, But oddly, her door was closed. As Luna slowly opened the door, she was greeted by almost complete darkness, save for the HD TV (that played a rather gory horror movie) and the Princess that sat in front of it. "What do we have here?" Celestia's head bolted to the right showing her face and the expression of fear that bestowed the usually graceful princess, "Oh, um, Luna!" "I thought you said horror movies and games were disgraceful." "I'm sorry, but this movie is just so good!" Celestia replied, not being able to look back at her sister. "I know. Mind if I watch it with you?" Luna asked getting Celestia to pat the space next to her on the couch, gesturing for her to come. Luna sat down and stared at the movie. Adamant Wong, the special agent pony in red dress, had just split the heads of two zombies and a guard. Twilight, who was still giggling from the princesses, had just fixed her hut, added in a bed, and was trying to set her spawn, only for a creeper to appear at the foot of the bed, "OH, COME ON!" She screamed before having a realization,"Wait a minute... This room was sealed off and fully lit, How did it spawn?" "Hehe, that was fun." Eon's voice echoed within the speakers, making Twilight a little frustrated. "How long have you been here?" Twilight muttered before noticing that Luna was no longer on the call, "And when did she leave?" "Well I came on right after Luna killed you and decided to have a little fun." He replied before hearing a faint explosion on Twilight's end of the line, "And since you don't have a house anymore..." "I'm gonna make you into pony stew..." The stallion fell out of the chair, bawling with laughter, after finally getting a hold of himself, he looked up to find a rather disappointed yellow mare, glaring at him. "Um... it's not nice to tease ponies..." Fluttershy whimpered. "Please don't look at me like that Flutters... It's really creepy." ~!0 minutes later~~ "Hey Fluttershy?" Eon asked. After Luna left for unknown reasons, Fluttershy decided to play and Twilight guessed she could be a good farmer. "Y-yes?" Fluttershy said as she looked over to Eon's character, who had encased her in a cube of ice. "You should chill out," He snorted before pulling out a bucket of lava, "Or maybe you should warm up!" "Hey Eon! You have an 'explosive' personality!" Eon turned to see Twilight had just set off a block of TNT and was already out of sight. He sighed, "I hate puns..."
