On the night I met you

Chapter 6

One month later.

Tornado awakens from a deep slumber. “W-what time is it?” He mumbled to himself, he looked over to the clock. “Eleven am?!” He awoke suddenly and rushed out of bed. “Scion’s gonna kill me!” Tornado quickly washed himself and sorted his disheveled mane out to make it tidy. Tornado rushed down stairs and rushed out of his house, closing the door behind him. He took flight to find Scion.

Scion was waiting for Tornado on a bench near the Ponyville Park. “I wonder where he is.” Tornado was seen flying towards Scion.

“Scion, I’m here!” Tornado yelled while he was flying, Tornado then fell forward and landed face first into the ground, scraping across the ground.

“Tornado, are you okay?!” Scion ran to him, trying to yank him out the ground. When he eventually pulled him out, Tornado looked at him.

“Yeah I’m okay, now that you’re here.” Tornado hugged him gently.

“Slept in again?” Scion asked with a tone of concern.

“Yeah, I don’t know how though.” Tornado sighed, “I wake up from a nightmare every night and then suddenly get some sleep, I don’t know how it happens.”

“Maybe because of lack of sleep?” Scion raised an eyebrow.

“Maybe it is that, I don’t know.” Tornado looked up at the sky. “Anyway, let’s go to yours.”

“No, we will do that later.” Scion put a hoof on Tornadoes shoulder, “but first I have some place to show you Torny.”

“You do?” Tornado stared at him.

“Yes I do.” Scion nodded, “and I’m sure you will love it.”

They both took flight to find this location. The place they had in mind was a cave in the rocks that was filled with blue crystals that made their eyes sparkle with the most beautiful twinkle.

“W-wow, is this all real?” Tornado was blown away by the sight, he couldn’t help but look.

Scion giggled softly. “Yes it’s all real Torny, why do you think I brought you here?” Tornado seemed speechless and then started to wander around. “Don’t stray too far, for all we know these caves could go on forever.”

“I won’t, I promise.” Tornado couldn’t take his eyes off the crystals. They were coming out of the ceiling, the walls and the floors. They lit up the cave with a beautiful luminous blue. Tornado found one crystal, one crystal that was the right size for a necklace. He quickly looked around himself and gently removed it from the ground.

“Tornado?!” Boomed Scions voice, making it echo through the caves, “you’re still here right?!”

“Uh, yeah!” Tornado quickly placed it into his saddlebag that he grabbed on the way out of the house. “I’m coming!” Tornado quickly trotted towards Scion.

“I thought I lost you.” Scion said now looking really concerned.

“Me? Lost? Pfft! won’t even happen.” Tornado waved his hoof as he spoke.

“I bet it won’t.” Scion said chuckling with a tone or sarcasm, “and when you get lost in here the only thing that will find you is dragons.” Scion began trotting.

Tornado laughed to himself for a second but instantly stopped with a frightened look on his face, “dragons?” He then looked at Scion slowly trotting away and instantly caught up, “uh wait up!”

Scion smirked, “see I’d knew you’d say that.”

“Yeah there are two things I don’t like, manticores and dragons.” Tornado started shaking a little along with his voice.

“What about a mantigon?” Scion chuckled.

“Don’t even make me imagine that.” Tornado seemed to stick by Scion, checking his surroundings.

“What? Scared it’ll burn you and eat you with its big sharp teeth?” Scions chuckles turn into small doses of laughter.

“Seriously, this isn’t funny.” Tornado looked at him, “tell me what you are afraid of.”

“Me afraid? Get out of here.” Scion chuckled nervously as if he was hiding something.

“Right.” Tornado grinned and chuckled, “I’ll find out sooner or later.”

“Yeah right.” Scions voice was shaky and he seemed to want out quickly. Obviously the thought of fear didn’t mix well with them being in a cave. They slowly exited the exotic cave of crystals back out onto the green plains of Equestria.

“Well your house?” Tornado looked at Scion as he asked him.

“Well, I think now would be a good time, yes.” Scion responded with a nod. They began flying to Scions house. They soon arrived at his small, cozy house. Scion opened the door, revealing a rather small but very cozy house. It was like one of those places that are so small you feel right at home. No need to try and make yourself feel at home here, you already felt at home just standing there.

“Well do you mind if I just use the bathroom?” Tornado asked softly.

“No not at all, you do know where it is right?” Scion asked also having a soft tone.

“Yeah sure I do.” Tornado chuckled, “it’s just down the hall.”

“Correct.” Scion chuckled, “I’ll be in my room if you need me.”

“Okey dokey lokey.” Tornado went into the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind him. Tornado reached into his saddlebag, pulled out some small metal parts that could make a necklace and the blue crystal he found in the cave. “Right this shouldn’t be so hard.” Tornado said to himself as he started hooking the metal parts together.

“I wonder what Tornado is doing.” Scion said to himself while he looked through some of his unfinished story ideas.

“Almost finished.” Tornado said to himself as he hooked the last bit of metal round a small hole through the crystal. He dangled it before his eyes, “so beautiful, I hope he likes it.” The crystal was glowing a bright blue color in his eyes. He held it close to his chest and exhaled happily. He slowly left the bathroom and walked towards Scions room, “hey Scion.”

Scion looked up at Tornado, “hello Tornado all finished?” Scion hid the papers into one of the drawers in the desk.

“Yes, I am.” Tornado began thinking to himself that he should save the gift until later, but he wanted to give it him now. “Scion I have another surprise for you, should I give it you now or later?”

“Hmm, well if it’s okay, maybe later?” Scion talked softly towards Tornado.

“Of course Scion.” Tornado smiled and nodded. He then sat down next to his special pony, “you’re the most important thing to me in the whole world, do you know that?”

“Aww Tornado.” Scion kissed Tornadoes cheek and blushed at those words.

“What?” Tornado blushed, “just being my honest self.”

Scion continued kissing Tornadoes face lovingly, “I know, I love it when you’re like that.”

Tornado felt himself blush hotly; literally the blush was so powerful it began to glow off of the surface of his cheeks, “well thank you Scion.”

“Look, I’m gonna do some writing you wouldn’t mind giving me some time to myself to work would you?” Scion said looking into Tornadoes eyes.

“Not at all, just call me if you need anything.” Tornado smiled and left the room to go into the living room. Scion turned to his desk and began to write.

A letter dropped through the letterbox and landed on the doormat. Tornado didn’t take notice of it; he just pulled out the necklace and began looking at it again. The sun began setting and the stars started coming out. Tonight Scion would get the gift Tornado made him.
