I'd Give You My Wings

Princess Twilight Sparkle was studying peacefully in her library. It was still dark, but soon it would be dawn. Spike was fast asleep in his basket bed and snoring gently. Twilight used her magic and tucked him in, smiling at the baby dragon. She would have to get him a new bed soon. Since she became a Princess, she had noticed that Spike had grown slightly, much like she had grown herself.

Twilight assumed because she had hatched Spike using her magic, they where connected to one another and he was much more than just an assistant, they shared the same magic blood.

She was pondering this thought when she heard loud knocking at the door.

Twilight flinched and glanced over to Spike, who mumbled something about ice cream, rolled over and then continued snoring.

Sighing with relief,Twilight opened the door to Rainbow Dash who was jumping excitedly with Scootaloo on her back. Scootaloo's grin was even bigger than Rainbow's.

“Come on Princess! It's time to fly!”

Scootaloo screeched.

Rainbow snorted at Scootaloo's excitement and raised her eyebrows at twilight cheekily

“Yeah, Come on princess! Get your Royal flank ready and lets get going!”

Scootaloo shreaked with laughter and her screams became louder as Rainbow Dash pulled her off her back and started tickling the filly who squirmed desperately to get away.

Twilight sighed and smiled at the filly and her 'big sister. Rainbow Dash; true to her word and to her element had taken Scootaloo under her wing as a little sister and was soon going to legally adopt Scootaloo as her official sister, and so Scootaloo and Rainbow would finally have a family. Each other

.

Twilight trotted out of the library and Scootaloo quickly got up and looked up to Twilight and bowed her head, still shaking and giggling. The orange filly composed herself.

“Your highness”

Whispered Scootaloo, looking back up at Twilight and grinning.

Twilight grinned back at the filly.

“Fine”

Twilight laughed after the small staring competition with Scootaloo was over and Twilight blinked in defeat.

Scootaloo yelled with delight and jumped onto Twilights back. Rainbow grinned and began hovering in the air a few feet above and the trio set off.

A few ponies they passed bowed to Twilight who blushed, she wasn't used to being a Princess and felt a little awkward about the whole situation, but mostly she bowed her head back in recognition, but if ever given chance she would tell other ponies: “Please, just call me Twilight.” and also she would ask them not to bow.

Her friends soon realized she was the same Twilight a few hours after she had gotten her wings and started treating her normally once again: The way she liked it. Although in a public place, Pinkie took great delight in screaming:

"LOOK THE PRINCESSSS IS HEEEERE!!!!!" and suddenly flinging herself to the ground and kissing Twilight's hooves, as this made most ponies in ear shot bow to the group of friends, which Pinkie, of course found absolutely hysterical.

“Yo Twilight, what's the plan for today then!”

Rainbow asked the Alicorn, snapping her out of her thoughts.

“I've made a schedule!” Twilight exclaimed as if it was the most exiting thing in all of Equestria.

Rainbow dash chuckled and rolled her eyes.

“What are we going to do today!”

asked Scootaloo.

Twilight cleared her throat and began to list from memory, the plan she had made for the day.

“Well, first on the list; Flying! We'll spend three hours in the fields and hills just outside Ponyville....If you can manage that Scootaloo”

Twilight quickly added, looking anxiously towards Scootaloo.

“I can fly ten times that long!” boasted Scootaloo, puffing out her chest.

“You bet squirt!” Rainbow cheered, ruffling the foals mane. Scootaloo giggled and Rainbow shot a determined look at Twilight. Both where thinking the same thing:

This time, She'll fly.

Clearing her throat once again, Twilight recalled the plan for the day:

"Well after the flying, we'll head over to sugar cube corner, we'll meet pinkie there and Rarity, she is bringing Sweetie with her so we can all have lunch together.

After that I promised Apple Jack I would help her with a few chores over at Sweet Apple Acres, we can take Sweetie with us and then you two can go crusading together with Applebloom. Once the chores are done I'm meeting with Fluttershy and Rarity at the spa..... You guys can come too...if you like"

As soon as the word spa was mentioned Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash began to stick out their tongues and make retching noises.

Twilight took this as a declination of her offer for them to accompany her to the spa.

"Well then, I suppose that's the day. Although you and Scoot's can stay for a sleepover at the library! I have the new extended version of the first Daring Doo book! We can read it together."

"Awesome!"

Shouted Rainbow and Scootaloo in unison.

"It's settled then! Today is going to be a great day!"

Twilight declared.

"You bet!" shouted Rainbow, flying in a loop and punching her hoof in the air.

Scootaloo jumped from Twilights back, trying to copy Rainbow, but she fell and landed face first in the dirt. The filly jumped back up and shook the dust from her wings, she then trotted on as if falling was some part of plan for a trick.

"Nice moves kid"

Joked Rainbow.

Scootaloo answered this by sticking out her tongue...There was hurt in her eyes, but she laughed. As did Rainbow and Twilight.

Then Scootaloo turned to face the rising sun, closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then she turned back to face two of the ponies that she admired and loved (although she'd never say it) most in Equestria.

"Today, is gonna be a good day"

She said, with a determined, confidant nod of the head.
