Chapters The Fabulous Wonderbolts Part 2&3
"Come on guys! Princess Celestia wants us to go explore that cave right away! We can't keep her waiting!" Twilight said. The other ponies were gathering their stuff together and were ready to leave.
"All right, is everypony ready to go?" Asked twilight. They all nodded in agreement. All six of them were traveling to an ancient cave that Celestia wanted them to explore and bring back artifacts they find to the princess. For them, it was a simple mission, nothing hard at all.
"So um why do we have to go through a scary cave? I mean why can't you guys go in and I stay outside for a little bit?" Asked fluttershy.
"Because Celestia wants us to go and find older artifacts that could reveal more about ponyville" said twilight. "Plus, you don't want to fail the princess do you fluttershy?"
"Well um no but I still don't think it is smart to go into a-"
"We're here!" Yelled Pinkie, interrupting Fluttershy. There was a huge mountain and at its base, there was a huge cave. It was pitch black and the ponies could hear wind going through the cave. Fluttershy stared backing up, but was met by Rainbow Dash staring at her.
"Come on fluttershy, stop being such a baby and just go in." Rainbow said to Fluttershy. Fluttershy just walked back up to the rest slowly with her head down. One by one, they all went into the cave. They all had helmets on with lights to see where they were going. In the cave, all the ponies could see was rocks and dirt for a while.
"We aren't finding anything. This really doesn't make any sense." Twilight said. They were looking all around the cave, but it looked empty.
"Look whatever was in here, it was probably cleaned out years ago twilight." Said Applejack. The ponies kept looking around, going deeper into the cave, finding nothing but stalagmites and hearing wind run through the cave.
"Hey this actually might be an empty cave so why don't we just leave now." Said Fluttershy. She started backing up to leave, and ran into the wall of the cave and screamed. The other ponies looked at her and their lights showed that what she hit, wasn't a wall.
"What is that? It looks old." Said Rarity. They all looked at it and realized it was a door that had been forced shut.
"What could be in there?" Asked Pinkie.
"It might be what Celestia wants us to explore and find something in there." Twilight replied. She used her magic to move the door out of the way. When she did so, the door fell and there was a dark tunnel that lead to a huge cave room.
"Come on gang, lets find out what's in there. Nice work finding this cave Fluttershy." Said twilight. Fluttershy just sighed and slowly walked into the cave with the others. As they walked into the tunnel, torches on the walls lit and there was light throughout the tunnel leading to that room. Once they reached the room, torches lit up all around the room and the room was filled with artifacts. There were stone pillars all around the room and at the front of the room, there was a shrine with two candles and a statue of a pony sitting down.
"Woah, check this out. All this stuff is so old and...and that statue is amazing. It's in perfect condition." Said twilight. They all looked at the statue with amazement. The pillars had cracks, and in those cracks, there was an orange light coming from inside.
"This stuff is so old and ancient, we have to take some of this stuff to the princess." Said Rainbow Dash. They all agreed and started finding small artifacts that they could put in their saddle bags. Then, twilight stepped forward to get a better look at the statue. When she did this, she stepped on a tile and it pushed down. Twilight started floating unwillingly and her horn glowed with magic and she shot magic at the statue.
"Twilight, what are you doing?" Asked Applejack.
"I don't know! I can't control what I'm doing!" Twilight replied. As she said this, the statue started glowing orange and twilight fell on the floor.
"Wha...what's Happening?" Said Fluttershy. They statue then started cracking and in the cracks, there was an orange glow. Then, the statue exploded, sending rock fragments everywhere. Out of the clouds of dust and rock, stood one single stallion. He was a light orange and his mane was a darker orange. He was a unicorn and his horn glowed in orange and the rocks that blew off his body came back to him and started piecing together, but with space. He was making a type of rock armor.
"Who are you? And what were you doing in a cave?" Asked Rainbow Dash. As she said this, he was putting on his last part of his armor, a rock helmet and once he put that on, his eyes were fully enveloped with an orange glow, and every part of his body that wasn't in armor, was glowing orange.
"Ah it's good that you ask who I am, my dear." He said. His voice was low and there was some distortion to it. "For you are staring at your new leader, I am Doom and you will all be my eventual slaves! Now run while I give you he chance fools!" He said. The ponies looked at each other and back at him.
"No way are we leaving! We are here because the princess wants us to do something for her." Said twilight. All the ponies stood their ground and he just looked at them.
"Ah yes, you are working for Princess Celestia aren't you?" He asked. When he asked, he was smiling.
"Yeah, what's it to you?" Rainbow Dash said. She was flying and was looking at him angrily.
"No need to get violent, Rainbow Dash, is it?" He said. She jumped back a bit in shock that he knew her name.
"How...how do you know my name?" Rainbow asked. He turned and looked at her.
"Well I am one of the greatest wizards throughout all of this land, so know who you are right away. You are Rainbow Dash. An in your face Pegasus that wants to join the Wonderbolts and takes reputation as serious. Oh and you won't back down from a challenge. Is that good enough for you?" He said with a smile. She just was standing there is shock. "Now if you don't mind, I have a throne to get to that belongs to me." He said.
"You aren't going any-" just as twilight was going to finish what she was going to say, Doom's horn lit up and they all were teleported to the middle of a random field.
"Come on everypony! We must warn Celestia!" Said Applejack, and they all started running toward the train station to Canterlot.
"Wow last weeks performance was amazing." I had said as I jumped onto a couch in in house.
"Yeah it was, we did awesome! As we normally would." Said fleetfoot. I had a couple of Wonderbolts in my house to hang out with for the day.
"I say we could've done a better performance for the gala, but still, it was pretty perfect." Said Rapidfire. We were all sitting in the living room and talking about the performance.
"Yeah, but the actual gala was cool too, I had a good really good time." I had said. I was remembering back to how I had spent the night with Rainbow Dash.
"You know, where did you run off to in such a hurry after the performance all dressed up Soarin?" Asked fleetfoot in a sarcastic tone. I just looked up and started getting red.
"Uh none of your business fleetfoot." I said nervously.
"You know I saw you run off with some Rainbow looking mare." Said Rapidfire. He was smiling when I looked over at him.
"Ok I spent the night with a girl, what's the big deal?" I said. By this time, I was red and the other pegusai were laughing and I just looked down and smiled.
When the six arrived at Canterlot, they were all rushing to the Princess. They made it to the castle and ran into the main room and the princess was there.
"Princess Celestia, we have dire news to tell you!" Said twilight.
"Go ahead twilight." Celestia responded. Princess Luna was there as well. Twilight then began to explain what had happened when they went to the cave.
"Who is this stallion you speak of? What did he look like?" Asked Celestia.
"He was bright orange and his mane was a darker orange. He also had rock type armor on and was amazing with magic." Said twilight.
"Did he go by the name Doom?" Celestia asked. She was concerned when Twilight nodded her head in agreement. Celestia then walked over to a bookcase and took out a book with her magic and gave it twilight. "Doom was a wizard that was one of my original two students that I had. He was a very promising student at first. He was able to complete any magic or spell I gave him. He even created his own spells. He was actually able to use a type of mind control that let's him know everything about a certain pony just by looking at their cutie mark. His other spells include teleportation, magic bolts, levitation, offensive attacks, and worst of all, mind control. He could have used those for good, but he then was corrupted by evil. All his spells are original and cannot be replicated. He challenged me to fight for the throne and I had to turn him into stone with the help of my sister, but he has returned and he is stronger than ever before." Celestia said. She sounded disappointed when she said it.
"What do we do Princess?" Applejack asked.
"You must go with twilight and get the elements of harmony, beat him, and turn him to stone just as you did with Discord." She said. "I shall notify Shining Armor to come and defend with the Royal Guard. We will try to stall for time as much as we can so you can gather the elements and defeat Doom." She said. The six then bowed to Celestia and left to Ponyville to gather the elements before it was too late.
"Do you really think Shining Armor will be able to hold a pony like him off?" Princess Luna asked. Celestia looked out of the balcony of the castle.
"I don't know, and I hope the ponies can get the elements before he arrives. He cannot reach the throne before they get back. I will alert the Wonderbolts to come and assist the Royal Guard as much as they can." Celestia replied as she walked off into another room.
"Well cadets, the performance at the gala let people know the new generation of Wonderbolts means business but I haven't told you that the bolts not only preform, but also fight!" Spitfire said. We all looked around at each other confused. "Normally, Wonderbolts don't have combat experience or are involved in any type of combat, but there are times when the Princess needs us to protect her. This is one of those times. Our objective is to keep this pony named Doom away from the princess at all costs. We need to use all of our ability and flight skills to keep him away from the castle. The royal guard will be there to assist us in stopping this pony." We all just looked and were quite nervous because this was my, and other Wonderbolts, first time in actual combat and we didn't know what to do. "We are to leave right now, get in formation and fly over to Canterlot." Spitfire said.
"Captain, what do we do once we get there?" I asked. She looked back at me.
"Do anything in your power to stop Doom from reaching the Princess." She said, and we took off to the castle. When we got there, we were met by Shining Armor and the royal guard. Spitfire and Shining Armor were discussing what the battle plan should be and what the last resort will be. The royal guard was all around Canterlot searching for Doom.
"What do you think this guy will do when he is here?" Fleetfoot said. I looked over at him.
"I don't know, but if he we need this many ponies to protect the princess, then he probably will be a very worthy opponent. Come on, lets make a blockade around the city and block off the roads coming in." I said. Fleetfoot saluted me, called out seven Wonderbolt's names, and left to secure the city. It had been thirty minutes, and there was no sight of Doom. We were all on a sharp defense. We had pegusai in the air looking for him and all of us Wonderbolts were flying around the city.
"Pony coming into the city! South side!" Yelled a royal guard. We all converged to that area. We flew above the royal guard and all we could see was one single pony walking toward the castle. He was getting closer and closer. His mane was a dark orange, I had never seen a pony with that kind of mane. When he got close enough that we could see his face, I had never seen a pony as sinister as him. He had no pupils, only an orange glow from where his eyes should be.
"Stop right there! Don't go any further!" Shining Armor yelled. We all looked at Shining Armor, then back to Doom. He kept walking forward without hesitation. I looked over at Spitfire and she put down her goggles and nodded at me. I put down my goggles over my eyes and signaled the Wonderbolts to fan out across the sky and bring him down. We all flew up above the clouds and then when we were over him, shot straight down and tried to hit him one by one. Right as we got close enough to start the attack, he shot some sort of magic blast and hit about three pegusai in the air. I kept going and right as I was about to hit him, he teleported and we all hit the floor. I slowly got up and and was a little disoriented, but I shook my head and saw he was getting closer to the castle. The royal guard had already attacked doom and he was shrugging them off like they were nothing. He was stopping them and just kicking them down pony after pony.
"We need to get back in this fight!" I yelled. I then bolted off and targeted doom. He was busy attacking other royal guards, at the last moment, just as I was going to hit him he turned around and stopped me. I don't know how but he did. He just turned around, raised his hoof, and I was just stopped in mid air. The air between my body and his hoof was distorted. All the ponies stopped attacking him when they saw this.
"You sneaky fool!" He said he then raised his hoof and as he raised it, I flew up as well. I was trying my best to break through this spell, but I couldn't. I was just, stuck. "Now you see what I am truly capable of Soarin of the Wonderbolts." As he said this, he turned me around and looked at my cutie mark.
"Let me go you coward!" I yelled at him. I was trying to move but I couldn't. My body was frozen.
"It seems you have somepony you care about more then the others, is that correct?" He said it me. In my mind I only thought about Rainbow Dash when he said that.
"You'll eave her alone! Fight me instead!" I responded. He just laughed and as he did, Shining Armor sent out more royal guards to fight him. Doom then just threw me and I just skidded across the floor and he continued forward attacking the guards.
"Enough with this insolence! If you want to truly fight for a cause, then fight with me!" Just as doom said this, he sent out a huge red blast that hit all the royal guards and Wonderbolts, but the only ponies that didn't get hit back were me and Shining Armor.
"Ha! Was that supposed to hurt us?" I asked. He turned and looked at me with a smile. He pointed to spitfire and I turned to look at her. Her flight suit was slowly turning red and when I saw her face, her eyes were closed and she was shaking her head. When she stopped, her eyes opened and they were a blood red. I took a couple of steps back from her. By this time, her whole flight suit was red.
"What happened to you spitfire? Are you ok?" I asked her. I was afraid. I looked around at the other Wonderbolts, they were all the same. Red suits and blood red eyes. Spitfire looked at me with a weird gaze that was intimidating.
"I'm perfectly fine, why I am finally free." She said in an ominous tone and a smile on her face. I was about to leave when two other Wonderbolts from behind me jumped onto my back and help me down.
"No guys what are you doing? It's me, Soarin!" I said. They kept holding me down and one of them tied me up. I looked over at the royal guards and they were all in red armor with the same blood red eyes. Shining armor was trapped and taken prisoner too. I was being tied up when one of the Wonderbolts hit me on my head and I blacked out.
The Fabulous Wonderbolts Part 2&3
I slowly awoke to my head pounding and my vision was blurry. I could hear a dripping noise somewhere in the room. I slowly started shaking my head and finally my vision came back. I looked around and I noticed, I was in the Canterlot dungeon under the castle. I looked around for anypony, but couldn't find anypony around. I then slowly got up, my head was still hurting from that blow I took. I looked to my left and I saw Shining Armor a couple of cells down. He was up, but in a corner looking at the ground.
"Hey Shining Armor. Over here." I whispered to him. His ears perked up and he got on all four hooves and looked back at me.
"Soarin, what are we doing here?" He whispered back. As he asked this, two doors flew open and three royal guards came in and dagged Shining Armor and took him outside. Two more came in dragging Princess Luna in and threw her into a cell. She looked hurt and was worn down. It wasn't hard to notice that she was in a conflict with Doom, and clearly lost. The two guards came up to my cell. Their pupils were black and the outside was blood red. They obviously weren't themselves.
"You! Come with us, our king wants to see you!" One of them said. I looked confused when he said king. He reached in the cell and grabbed me. I was still too dazed to fight back. They then dragged me throughout the castle. There was a different feeling coming from the castle. It wasn't joyful anymore, it was a sense of the castle being devoid of something. The guards just stood at each doorway, starring aimlessly at the walls ahead of them. All with orange armor. All with those same blood red eyes. When we got to the main room of the castle, where Celestia usually is most of the time, we waited there for a little bit. Guards opened the door from the inside. When I looked to see what came out, it was Shining Armor, he walked out with the same orange armor, and the dreaded eyes.
"No, not you too!" I said to him. He just looked at me and walked away with some other guards. The guards shoved me into the main room, and closed the doors behind me. I landed on my face. I looked up and saw him, Doom was sitting at the throne and he looked down at me. I rose to all four hooves and looked at him angrily.
"Well it's just the pony I want to see. Soarin of the Wonderbolts." He said with a smile in his face. He looked sinister and I could tell he was thinking about something of pure evil. "I was wondering why you didn't become my slave when I shot out that magic boom and brainwashed your friends, but when I looked at your cutie mark, it all made sense." He said in an evil tone.
"What do you mean Doom?" I asked him. He slowly walked down the stairs of the throne and was slowly making his way toward me.
"Well of corse you don't know why it didn't effect you. It's because your beloved Princess kept a secret from you all these years. But I know what it is, and your so called amazing, wonderful princess has kept a secret from you all these years." Doom said. He walked right up to me. "Haven't you ever wondered who your mother really is?" He asked. I took three steps back and looked at him weirdly.
"Well, yes but nopony knows where she is, not even Celestia." I said. He laughed maniacally. After he was done laughing, he cleared his throat.
"Did you ACTUALLY believe that?!?!" He asked. He started laughing again. "She didn't tell you because she knew you had potential to be an amazing flyer for her! She kept it a secret, and you've known your mother this whole time. Sad part is, your mother doesn't know your her son either. I have to hand it to Celestia, she covered it up pretty good." He said in a laughing tone. I took a couple of minutes to think about what he had just said. It was sort of making sense. Every time I would ask Celestia who my mother was, she never really gave me a straight forward answer.
"Ok then Doom, if you know so much, who is she?" I asked him. I was almost afraid of asking him who my mother was. It was like I didn't want to know, but then again I did. He stopped and stared at me, and lifted his head up. That's when he said it.
"Your long lost mother is in this very castle. It is Princess Luna, princess of the night or whatever you ponies call her." He said. My eyes were wide open. I felt my lower jaw drop, and I was just stunned. I wanted to believe it, but something told me he was lying. I looked at him with suspicion about his accusation.
"I don't believe this! My dad was a commoner, he could never have known Luna personally, let alone bear a child with her." I said. He looked back at me in amazement.
"Don't believe me? Look for yourself fool!" He said. As he said this, his horn was enveloped in an orange aura and he touched my head with it and, something happened. Everything turned dark. Suddenly there was a light and I was in my house, the one I lived in when I was a child. I saw my dad walk in carrying in food from the store.
"Whew, looks like we are all stocked up for the coming weeks." He had said. I kept looking around the house. Then, I heard a crying noise coming from another room. My dad walked over to the other room. There was a crib in the other room along with some filly toys on the floor. "Aww there's daddy's little flyer! I know I was gone junior, but no need to cry. I'm here and we can play now!" He said smiling while looking in the crib. The crying stopped, and it turned into laughter. I walked over to the crib and looked in it. I saw....me as a child in the crib looking up at my dad. "Come on Soarin don't be sad, your mom promised she would visit her little royal flyer today." He said as he picked, well, me up. I jumped back in awe. My eyes were open again and I was speechless. I wasn't seen by the ponies because it was a spell that could only let you see the past. My dad carried me on his back and put me down on the floor next to some toys. I then heard some commotion outside and Luna walked in through the door. I was, again, speechless. I was just standing completely still. I honestly could not move a muscle. She then walked up to my dad, hugged him, and they kissed!
"Sorry I haven't been able to visit so often, Celestia has kept meat the castle doing much royal work. Where is Soarin?" She asked. My dad smiled and pointed at my room. She smiled and walked over to my room. I followed to see what she would do. "Hey there Soarin. It's me your mommy." She said. My younger self just looked at her and got excited as she walked up and sat down next to me and wrapped her wing around me. "Well haven't you grown, my child. You need to stop growing so fast little buddy, I can't keep up with you." She said then laughed softly as my younger self just laughed and hugged her. I started to feel sadness envelope me. I couldn't believe Doom was right. "You know, I still remember why I named you Soarin. It was because I knew that, one day, I would be there to see you achieve something great and I would be proud to call myself your mom and how much honor your name will mean when people say it." She said with a soft smile on her face. I started to feel a tears coming to my eyes.
"Luna, my dear, they need you outside." Said my dad. She got up, picked my younger self up, and snuggled with me.
"I'm sorry Soarin, but mommy has business she needs to attend to. Wait here with your daddy." She said. My dad and her went into the other room and started talking.
"What? What do you mean you can't come back?" Said my dad. Luna looked at the floor in sadness and looked back up.
"My sister needs me permanently at the castle. I just have far too much to do to be going back and forth." She said. My dad looked at the floor and his ears went down. Luna put her hoof under my dads chin and picked up his head. "I will be back to see my son my dear, I promise. Can I trust you to take care of our son until then my love?" She told me dad. He looked up in pride and hugged her.
"Yes I can my love, just as long as you come back." He replied. I saw a tear run down his face. Luna had one as well go down her face. She then kissed him one last time, and left out the door. Things went black again, and I saw Doom again. I was back in reality. He walked over to the balcony and looked out into the sky. I was full on crying by this time. I had tears running down my face.
"You see how cruel Celestia was? She deprived you of your mother. Your own mother." Doom said. I wanted to correct him, but I couldn't. He was........right. I then remembered what Luna looked like when the guards came down to get me. My sadness turned into rage. My wings rose up, and I bolted right at Doom. He turned around before I reached him, and he stopped me in air again by raising his hoof.
"You son of a bitch you hurt her! How dare you hurt her!" I yelled at him. He smiled and started laughing.
"Well I had to Soarin, she attacked me to defend her sister. Celestia is still here, but Luna was waiting for me in this room." Doom responded. He started laughing again. While he was laughing, I could see he had a missing piece of something on is chest. It was in the shape of a necklace.
"You will pay for this Doom. Mark my words! You will pay!" I said to him. He just looked at me like I was kidding.
"Guards, take this fool down to the dungeon so he can have his little family reunion with Luna, oh and by the way, she doesn't know your name is Soarin because Celestia never told her that you were recruited by the Wonderbolts and didn't want her or you to find out, so Celestia didn't tell her what the names of the Wonderbolts are." He said. He just started laughing again and the guards came and took me back to the dungeon. When I made it back to the dungeon, I felt weak and wanted to cry again. They threw me into a cell, locked the door, and left.
"Who is there? Who are you!" I heard a voice. I looked behind me and there she was. Princess Luna. My mother, and she didn't know I was her lost child.
"I am the lieutenant of the Wonderbolts. I was put here by Doom. Luna, I need to ask you something, if it's ok." I said, I felt sad remembering what Doom showed me.
"Go ahead pony, what is your question?" She asked. I walked up to her and took a deep breath.
"A long time ago, you lived in the Ponyville area, and you had a son, but Celestia needed you at the castle, so you left." I said. Luna looked at me in shock, probably because she wanted to know how I knew this. "I want to talk about that son, do you remember who he was?" I asked, I was looking at Luna. She got up in all four hooves and looked out of the cell.
"Yes it's true, I had a son, and I miss him everyday. I wish I hadn't gone to the castle that day. I will never forget my little Soarin." She said. Her head was down, and her eyes were closed.
"Well Luna, you are.....my....well I am your...son. Doom showed me a flashback of my life with you there. I am Soain and you are my long lost mother, because I grew up with my dad and he had a lighter blue coat and a dark blue mane, like mine." I had said. She looked up at me and started squinting her eyes at me in suspicion. She then walked around me looking at my coat and mane.
"Is it......really you? Are you my son, Soarin?" She said. I could see a tears forming around her eyes. I walked up closer to her, and I put my hoof near her neck.
"Yes mom, it's me. I finally get to see my mom." I said. I looked at her smiling, with a tear coming out of one of my eyes.
"I can't believe it's you, my little Soarin is almost a full grown stallion." She said with pride. She was crying, I hugged her and started to cry as well. "I'm so sorry I left you, I didn't mean to do that. I had to, you have to understand Soarin." She said.
"I don't care about that Lun-....mom, all I care about is being with you right now." I replied. She just smiled and continued to hug me.
"Well, it looks like I have total control of Canterlot now. Next, is to let all of Equestria know there is a new leader in town, and I will make all the ponies my slaves under my eternal rule!" Doom said. "Now just to find that pesky Celestia and get rid of her for good." Doom said. He was just smiling. Suddenly, there was a crash, and the doors fell down in the room Doom was in. The six were back with the Elements of Harmony.
"Your evil plan stops here Doom!" Twilight said to him. She had a smile on her face. They all got in formation to activate the Elements of Harmony.
"Well, since you get your toys to play with, let me get mine." Doom said with a smirk on his face. He aimed his horn at a part of the wall. He shot a magic bolt at it and the part of the wall exploded. In the wall, there was an amulet there. He used his magic to pick it up.
"Oh no! That's the Alicorn Amulet!" Rainbow Dash said. They all looked at Doom. The amulet fit right where that hole in his chest armor was.
"You thought I was powerful then, watch me now! I will have god like powers now!" He said. As it went into the slot in his armor, there was a small boom, and the aura coming from the cracks in between his armor went from orange to all blood red. All the royal guards armor went from orange to a blood red.
"Come on girls, lets do this!" Twilight said. They all started powering up the Elements of Harmony.
"Your Elements of Harmony mean nothing to me you fools!" Doom yelled. He got ready for when they were going to shoot the beam from Twilight. They all started floating and Twilight's eyes were enveloped in white. Then, the shot was sent directly at Doom. His Alicorn Amulet lit up red and so did his horn. He shot a huge magic bolt to counter. They both clashed, and the Elements were slowly advancing towards Doom. He was still standing his ground. The beam of light got closer and closer when, Doom started laughing and his magic bolt turned into six separate shots while also maintaining the main bolt. They all shot at all the ponies. When it hit them, their element necklace turned red and the element blast got blasted back and twilight got hit by the bolt Doom had created. All of the ponies except Twilight had the blood red eyes.
"You see?!?!?! Nothing can beat Doom! My reign will last forever!" He said as he started laughing. He used his magic and teleported Twilight into the dungeon. The other ponies were just standing there, lifeless as if he had taken their soul, and in a way, he did.

Chapter 3
It had seemed that every last hope for Equestria was lost. The Royal guard was under Doom's control, The only Wonderbolt left was me, and the elements failed to stop him. The only hope left was Celestia and nopony could find her.
"This can't be right, how was he able to stop the elements?" Twilight asked. She was looking up at the ceiling confusingly.
"He isn't like most unicorns, being my sisters first student really payed off for him. He used magic to create weapons of mass destruction like this before. When we first stopped him, he created an army just out of rocks and a lot of magic. You saw his power with the Alicorn amulet on as well." Princess Luna replied. Twilight looked over at her concerned. I was just sitting next to my mother while she explained what was going on.
"But, how did you guys stop him last time? There had to be a way." Twilight asked. Luna stood up and walked over to Twilight.
"When my sister and I stopped him last time, we used an old device he had created to help him control over Equestria. It was a device you would put on your horn and it would intensify your magic triple the amount you could previously achieve. When we used this, he wasn't able to fight back against my sister and I under such magic. He was defeated and turned into stone." Luna replied. I could feel a cold shock go thought my spine when I heard her say this. I knew there could be no way to stop him now.
"Well that's it! All we have to do is find this device you were talking about." Twilight said. She hopped up when she had said this.
"Well that's the thing Twilight Sparkle, he used his magic to hide the device as we finished him off. If memory serves me right, I believe it was in the same cave you first saw him in." Twilight's face lit up as if she remembered something.
"So that's what that artifact was! I picked up an ancient looking artifact when I was in there and put it in my saddle bag, but when he teleported us, he left the bag there at the cave!" Twilight said. Luna's eyes had filled with some kind of hope that we could find it.
"So we need to find this device and bring it back to Celestia to stop him?" I asked. Both of them looked back at me. Luna nodded as a yes and Twilight was pacing back and forth, most likely becuase she was thinking of a way to get it.
"We need a way to get out of here. Somepony needs to destract Doom so someother pony can escape and get that device back." Twilight said. There was no way to get out of the dungeon unless a fight were to occur to distract Doom.
"Where is Celestia when you need her?" I asked. She had not been seen for this whole time while Doom was taking over Equestria.
"My sister is still here in the castle. We share the same type of magic and can sense each other and where we are. She is still in the castle and we need her help." Luna replied. Just as she said this, the doors to the dungeon bursted open and four guards came in.
"Come on! All of you get up! Doom wants you!" One of them said. The three of us were shoved out of the cell and all the way to the main room where Doom was. When we got inside, the room was different. It was a dark gray with red aura and he was on the throne with his eyes shut. The guards threw us in and slammed the two doors shut. The noise of the doors made Doom slowly open his eyes. When he did so, once again, his eyes were covered by the blood red aura he was emitting.
"Luna why don't you just cut to the chase and tell me where your sister is?" He said in a low, distorted voice. He was looking at her.
"Even if I knew Doom, I would never tell you." Luna replied. She was looking at him angrily. He extended his hoof out and picked Luna off the ground and brang her closer to him.
"I'm not going to ask again nicely, now where is your sister?" He said once again. She just looked at him angrily and refused to answer. I was watching on what was going to happen. "Very well, if that's the way you want to play." He said. As he said this, he looked away from her and threw her against a wall. Rage enveloped me as he did this. My wings extended and I bolted at him, but he stopped me and I felt a rush of air and I hit the wall on the other side of the wall. I looked at him and bolted at him once more. He did the same, stopped me and threw me against the other wall next to my mother. I was about to jump a third time, when Luna put her hoof infornt of me to stop me.
"Why don't you just stop with using all this cheap magic and fight like a real pony!" Twilight said. He turned and looked at her and broke out in laughter. As he was laughing he was hit with a magic bolt. It hit him and he fell back in the throne, it looked like it knocked the wind out of him.
"How dare you strike me!" He yelled. Twilight stood there with aura around her horn.
"I'll do it again if you hurt my friends again!" She said. He laughed again and he picked her up and brang her closer to him. When she was really close to him, he smiled in a evil way.
"The reason you aren't dead is because I find you amusing, now tell me where Celestia is before I end you!" He said. She was just trying to break his spell, not answering. "Fine, you have chosen your own fate Twilight." He said, just as he said that, her body enveloped in a red aura and he was staring at her with an intense look. She started to scream.
"Leave her alone you coward!" I yelled. He kept staring at her and she kept flinching from the pain and screaming. Then, out of nowhere, a magic bolt him him hard. So hard, it sent him off the throne. Twilight fell on the floor and was breathing hard. We all looked at the entrance and standing there, was Princess Celestia!
"That's enough Darkstar! You have hurt too many innocent ponies, including my sister! Now leave all of them alone! It's me you want!" Celestia said. He got up, shook his head and looked. When he saw her, he looked angry.
"I told you to never call me that again!!" He yelled. He was staring at her angrily. Celestia walked more into the room.
"What ever you want to call yourself is your choice, but if you want to hurt anypony, hurt me, if you can." She said this with a smirk on her face.
"Well looks like you finally decided to show up. It's been a long time since we last met Celestia. Although this time, the victor will be me!" He said as he ended with a laugh. As he said this to her, piece by piece, his helmet on his head broke off and the aura around his eyes disappeared. We could actually see his real face and mane. He had a scar that went down his left eye and his coat was orange. His mane was the same blood red as his eyes were.
"Well then, I guess words are out of the question. You must pay for your actions." She said to him. As she said this, she flew up and shot a beam of magic at him. He countered, but it was receding. Celestia was giving it her all. You could see it when you looked at her.
"Celestia doesn't have a chance does she?" I asked my mother as she was slowly getting up. She looked over at me and sadly agreed. I looked over at Twilight. She was on the floor, still exhausted. She wasn't able to get up. Celestia was trying her best to keep him back, but slowly his attack was getting closer. Luna was was looking at the battle with concern and she was in shock on how much power his magic had. By this time, the blast was about to hit Celestia's horn.
"Go Soarin! Leave! Get that device!" Celestia yelled. I looked at Luna and it all made sense. Celestia dropped a map under her. I bolted under her, took the map, and left out the balcony door. Doom looked at me leave, but he couldn't do anything to stop me. I looked back and all I could see was a red blast envelope the room they were in momentarily. I kept flying as fast as I could.
When I was far away from Canterlot, I stopped and started to regain my breath. Celestia had just risked her life so I could get that device. I could not think of anything more noble then that. I was breathing hard and I was shaking. I had never seen power as much as he had.
"Ok ok, I need to just calm down and use this map to save Equestria." I said to myself aloud. I looked around and I was in an open area with some scattered trees. I looked at the map, it said from Canterlot I had to go to mountains near the Everfree forest. I started walking toward the direction the map was telling me to go. I had hoped to get there as fast as I could. If what I saw was not his best, just imagine what he was doing now.
"Sir, we have her here for you." Shining Armor said. Doom looked over at him and smiled.
"Excellent, bring her in." He said. Shining Armor saluted him, then walked outside of the room and walked in with Rainbow Dash. She was still under his control. "You, your orders are to find the Pegasus under the name Soarin. Find him and bring him back to me ASAP. Is that clear?" He said.
"Yes my king, I will bring him back, no problem." She replied.
"Odds are, he went to that cave you explored two days ago, go around that area and look for him." Doom said. Dash saluted him and then left. He was laughing as he sat back into his throne.
I made it to the mountain, by this time it was getting dark and it was hard to find a cave, let alone look inside one. I kept looking around the mountain, flying around and looking for a hole of some sort. I decided to walk around the base of the mountain to see if I could find it there.
"At this rate, I'll never find it!" I said to myself. I kept going around and it got too dark to continue looking, so I decided to sleep next to the mountain under a tree. I was exhausted after what had happened. I felt my eyes get heavier and heavier then, I knocked out.
The next morning I got up, the sun was in my eyes, and I felt hungry, but I knew I had to push onward to look for a way to get find the device Twilight and Luna were talking about. I slowly got up and I remembered Rainbow Dash. I missed her a lot. I hadn't seen her in a long time and I felt bad that I couldn't see her right now as well.
"Where ever you are Rainbow, my dear. I'll be thinking about you and we will always be here for each other." I said to myself. Just as I finished that sentence, I felt something hit me on my back and I was sent flying up in the air. I stopped and looked back down to see what it was. It was Rainbow Dash! I was so excited, but when she got closer to me, I saw she had those blood red eyes. "No, not you too." I said to myself.
"You are required to come back with me to the castle. We can do this the easy way or hard way." She said. I turned to fly away, but she hit me and I flew down into a tree. I got up out of it and there she was again, she hit me and I hit the stump of a tree with my head.
"Why are you doing this? We love each other. What's wrong with you?" I asked her. She just stared at me with a blank face. I couldn't fight her because I was too hungry and I couldn't hurt the pony I loved. She is my special somepony and I would never hurt her. I had to get that device though. I tried to fly around her and go around, but she would keep intercepting me and I would always end up getting hurt again and again. I finally stopped and flew really fast at her. I grabbed her and we both hit the floor.
"Let me go!" She said as she struggled to get out of my hooves. I just kept her right there and I was breathing hard.
"Look at yourself Rainbow! We love each other! Don't your remember anything we did?" I asked her. She didn't respond. I just looked into her eyes and they still reminded me of that magical night with her at the gala. That night forever changed my life and I needed to remind her on how much that meant to me and her as well. "We love each other and we work great as a team. We both need each other and I can't live without you Rainbow! You give me this feeling that I have never felt before I met you. You are simply the greatest mare I have ever met, and I need you right now." I said to her. I got closer to her and I felt her breathing. I got closer and out lips met. Kissing her like this had reminded me of that night. I could see it happening all over again and I was filled with happiness and a sort of ecstasy when I felt her lips on mine. I backed out and I looked at her. She had stopped struggling and her eyes were closed still. Her eyes slowly opened and they were back to normal. She had broken Dooms spell!
"Wha-what happened?" She asked in a confused way. I just looked at her and smiled. I knew she was back to normal. I knew Doom could not block memories like that from her for long.
"He was controlling you along with all your friends, now do you remember where that cave was?" I asked her. She was slowly getting up. Rainbow was still dazed from that spell.
"Yeah I remember where it is, we are near it actually." She replied. I smiled and I grabbed her and hugged her.
"Ok lead me to it, we need to find something to finish this fight." I told her. She nodded in agreement and we both left.
The Fabulous Wonderbolts Part 2&3
All the ponies in Canterlot were to gather and watch their "new leader" give a speech. The royal guard were rounding up the citizens and forcing them to listen to what Doom had to say. They were all there, awaiting Doom to come out of the castle and speak on the balcony. He then slowly walked out, with his helmet off, and was waving to his subjects.
"Citizens of Canterlot and all of Equestria. The rule of the twin sisters Princess Celestia and Luna has come to an end. You will henceforth worship me, Doom, king of Equestria. For too long have we been looked down upon by the master race, the Alicorn. Now, it is time for us to rise up above the oppressors and show them that we have a voice. Your peaceful nation will now become a dictatorship. As me as your leader, I will make sure that Equestria will become a strict, no mercy nation and we will emerge strong in the end." Doom said. He looked down at the ponies with an evil smile. The ponies were all terrified of him. Their was a loss of hope in their eyes. "I am now the leader of Equestria! Nopony can stop me! You ponies had the chance to stop me. Time was your ally, but it has now forsaken you, much like it had me. The time of frienship and kindness is over! Hard physical labor and determination is now what my regime will consist of! Now bow to your new leader!" Doom said. Without hesitating, all the ponies bowed, but were forced to bow. The guards were watching them ever so slightly. Doom just stood there in his prowess and smiled.
"Dammit, where could it be?" I said to Rainbow Dash as I kept searching though the room she had taken me to in the cavern. We were both frantically looking for the device Twilight and Luna talked about. We kept looking. There was no saddlebag around.
"Don't tell me Doom took it." Rainbow said. I looked at her in a concerned way. If he had taken it, then he has basically won. This was our only defense, we needed this device.
"I think I found it, yeah it's definitely old i'll tell ya that." I had said. Rainbow flew over and, sure enough, she confirmed that was the device they found. It was in the corner of the room, next to a saddlebag and behind a rock. I picked it up with my hoof and looked at it. It was small, but could fit around a unicorn's horn. It was in a spiral shape, and was a light blue. It had cracks in it, but wasn't too beat up.
"Ok we have to bring this back to Celestia and end this guy once and for all!" Rainbow said. I nodded in agreement and we both started flying to the castle. It was taking a long time to get to the castle. Canterlot was under heavy pertection, and couldn't be penetrated no matter how we looked at it. It was sundown when we decided to try to make a battle plan.
"Well, there is no way we can fly right though and just drop off the device, but there has to be a way to get in." I said to Rainbow. She was just looking up in deep thought. So was I, we both couldn't think of a way to get in. Doom was making no mistake with this whole ruling over Equestria thing.
"Maybe we could, make a destraction and get in that way?" Rainbow asked. I looked at her, and thought it was actually a good plan. But how do we make a destraction enough to make all the guards to get away from their posts? Then, I knew what to do.
"You go, I will make a destraction. But you have to be fast. I will make a destraction by trying to get into Canterlot and when you see me distracting them, you rush in and get that device to Celestia. Got it?" I said to Rainbow Dash. She looked at me, worried. I could tell she didn't want me to go, I could see it in her eyes.
"You can't.......just go off like that.......you would endanger yourself." She replied. She was worried for me, but this was the only way to get her a small window to get into the castle and save Equestria. She looked down at the floor for a bit, then back at me. I walked over to her and grabbed her hoof with mine, and looked her in the eyes.
"Don't worry about me, I will be alright. I will make sure to get out of there just fine, you'll see, plus Celestia will stop Doom so I will be ok anyways." I told her. I managed to work a smile onto my face to reassure her I would be fine. Did I know if I was going to be alright? I honestly couldn't tell. I was just trying to get Rainbow to not think about it. We both slept together that night, well, she did. I was just awake most of the night, thinking about what would happen the next day. When the sun was slowly coming up the next day, the sky was red. It was a deep red. I looked around and it was as far as the eye could see. I woke Rainbow Dash up and she was as surprised as I was with this change in the sky. We both knew Doom had to be the reason. His magic was intense, and you could see it in the, "bloody sky".
"Are...are you sure you want to go through wit this?" Rainbow asked me. She had the device in the saddlebag. I walked up to her and looked at her in her eyes to let her know I was going to be alright.
"I will be fine, don't worry. Just worry about getting that device to Celestia." I had replied to Rainbow. Just as I finished what I had said, she walked toward me and kissed me. To be honest, that shocked me. I wasn't expecting it. I had my eyes open for a moment, then they just shut naturally. When we kissed like that, it was bringing everything I was about to do in perspective, but I didn't want to scare her. After we finished, I took off first, and she was behind at a distance. I wanted to give her some time between me and her so when I bolt into the guards, she will have time to plan out where to go in and not let the guards see her as they chase me. As soon as I could see the guards, they were pointing to me, and other guards were coming to where I was flying toward. I looked back at Rainbow and nodded to her. When I looked forward, I put on my goggles over my eyes. "Let's make some noise!" I yelled. As I yelled this, I started to fly as fast as I could right toward the guards. I got past the first wave of the guards and they were trying to follow me around the city, but were failing to do so. I was darting from building to building.
"Get him! Bring him out of the sky!" One of the guards said as I passed by him. I was ducking and dodging the ones coming at me. I was flying around the city, getting all the guards attention and maneuvering around them as well. I could hear them yelling at me, but I wasn't listening to them. I kept flying around Canterlot. I was ruling the sky's of Canterlot. The guards couldn't keep up with my fast maneuvering I learned from the Wonderbolts.
"Come on guys, don't make this too easy for me." I said as I kept flying around the city. I saw Rainbow go into the castle, she was almost to Celestia. I had to keep them preoccupied for a little bit more. I kept flying and I looked behind me, and when I looked forward, to my surprise, Doom was there and he shot me out of the sky with a magic bolt. I went into a spiral and hit the floor. I was hurt badly. I tried moving, but the pain was too excruciating. Doom was slowly walking toward me laughing. I got up and flew toward him, ignoring the pain. He shot magic bolt at me. It struck me, but I kept going. I was on the floor by this time and was trying to slowly walk up to him but he kept hitting me with more and more magic bolts.
"Others just blindly follow me, you chose to deny your fate." He said to me as he kept hitting me with blow after blow. I was fatigued so much, that I hit the floor when he shot one last bolt at me. I was breathing hard and all I could think about was my mother and Rainbow Dash. I closed my eyes and I was flinching from the pain. I could hear his hooves getting closer and closer. He picked me up with his magic and he then stopped walking forward. "Your effort to give the device to your Princess has failed Soarin. Now how about you join me, and we could rule over this land with an iron hoof." He told me.
"Even...if I could....I would never join you........you aren going to perish for your crimes Doom." I replied in a weak tone. I was in so much pain, it would hurt just to talk. He just laughed and looked at me with an evil face.
"Well, I hope your mother and Rainbow aren't too sad of the fate you have chosen for yourself Soarin. Your little act ends here, my friend." He said to me. Just as he said this, his eyes turned red and I could feel pain on my body. I was flinching because of the pain and I couldn't stop him at all. I just started to scream and I could feel him still applying pain to my body. I was on the verge of passing out when he threw me against a building and I hit the wall, then slid to the floor. There was blood coming from my mouth and I was in pain. He was slowly walking up to me and my vision was getting blurry. Just as he got up to me, he looked in a different direction and took a couple of steps back. I looked over at what he was looking at, it was Celestia. I could see Rainbow Dash near her, and so was Princess Luna and Twilight. The look on Doom's face went from evil to worried for the first time.
"Doom you have done enough damage to this town, and all of Equestria. You will now pay for the price of what you have done. You will now perish because of the fate you have chosen for yourself, you fool!" Celestia had said. When she finished saying this, her horn lit up and she shot a bolt, but it stopped at the device and the device lit up brightly. When the bolt shot from the device, there was a shockwave that came from the device and a thin, white light shot at Doom, he didn't respond fast enough, so it had struck him in the Alicorn amulet. He slowly looked down, and as he looked down, he started dissipating into thin air. His body was slowly transforming into an orange aura and the aura was just disappearing in the wind. When it reached his head, all you could see was a bright light, and it wasn't vanishing like the rest of him. Celestia put a glass ball around that orange aura and enclosed it in the ball. Princess Luna came up to me and picked me up.
"We need to take my son to a hospital immediately." Luna said. I was trying to stay conscious, but I eventually knocked out before I got to the hospital.
I slowly awoke to a haze of white light and noises. I could hear hooves moving up and down the room. I was dazed when I woke up, probably from the drugs they had me on. I slowly looked to my left as my vision became more clearer and I saw Rainbow Dash sleeping with her head on my bed. She had been here all night with me. I slowly sat up in my bed and saw my Wonderbolt uniform on a table in the room along with the goggles. When I got up, I put my hoof on Rainbow's head and I was smiling. A doctor came in and saw me sitting up.
"Well, it seems you are recovering just fine, you had some internal bleeding issues, some bruises and injuries to mostly your inside, you can leave when the drugs wear off when if you'd like." The doctor said to me. I just slowly nodded, I could still tell the drugs were still working. The noise must've woke up Rainbow because I looked over at her and she slowly opened her eyes. Se was looking at me, and she then looked up and saw me smiling back at her. At that instant, she brang her head up and was looking at me in excitement.
"Your....your back and ok?" She said. She was overjoyed that I was conscious again. I looked at her and smiled. I layed back down, and she put her head on my chest. She was looking at me and we kept talking that whole morning about the whole thing that had happened and how good of a job she did. She told me that Celestia wanted to see me after I got better. I wondered what it was for. Rainbow had said it was for recognition of this whole thing I did by saving Equestria. When the drugs finally wore off, Rainbow and I went to the castle to see what she wanted me for. When we arrived, the royal guard was back to normal. Everypony was back to normal. When we made it to the main room, one of the guards said she wanted to see me alone in private.
"I'll be out in a little bit ok? I'll meet you outside the castle when we are done ok?" I told Rainbow. We both met in the middle of each other for a kiss, then she left and I walked into the main room where Celestia and Luna were.
"Ah yes, Soarin come in." Celestia said happily. I walked into the room more and the doors closed behind me. I bowed to the Princess and looked back up at her.
"So what did out need me for Princess?" I asked her. She looked at Luna, then back at me.
"Well Soarin, I wanted to see you to not only tell you that you overcame an obstacle that no other pony could, but also that I want to offer you an opportunity." She said. I looked at her confusingly. What could she mean by offer?
"What opportunity would that be Princess?" I asked her. She walked down the throne, and stopped in front of me.
"Well, after seeing your ability in combat, and your dexterity, I think it would be appropriate to offer you a position as captain of the Royal Airforce faction of the Royal Guard." She said. I looked at her in surprise. The Royal Air Force faction was the ability to control the pegusai royal guard. Celestia wanted me to be the captain of the Royal Airforce!
"I don't know what to say Princess, that is shocking news to hear." I replied. She smiled and and walked back to the throne and sat down.
"Don't answer it now, take your time, think it though, then give me our answer." Celestia said. I looked at her and smiled. She then nodded, giving me the signal that I could leave. I got to the front of the castle and was just smiling because of the news she had told me. I looked down, and saw Rainbow Dash waiting for me. I just smiled and walked over to her, with every step, I had pride and I held my head up with no shame. I knew that I had achieved a goal unlike no other pony has.
The Fabulous Wonderbolts Part 2&3
Part 3 ch.1: The Solar Alliance
Celestia had called me again to meet with her once more to negotiate something that she said was urgent. I had heard that others were going to attend this meeting as well. I was still living at the wonderbolts academy because I had felt at home there. Celestia had offered me a house over in Canterlot but I declined. I felt better living there at the base with the bolts because I had already became friends with the bolts there. I walked outside of my house at the base and took off to Canterlot to go and meet up with Celestia. I told Rainbow to meet me there as well. After the meeting I wanted to spend the day with her at Canterlot. When I arrived at Canterlot, I had my armor on for the first time. It was a bright gold and had a star in the middle where my chest was. The helmet was gold as well and had a blue crest on the top. It matched the color of my mane. I walked through the city and, for the first time, received respect. I loved it to be honest. Everypony would watch me as I walked by and they just stared or stopped what they were doing when I did go by. One pony even saluted to me as I walked past him.
"Wow I get a lot of attention just for being a guard? This is amazing!" I said out loud as I continued toward the castle. When I arrived there, the guards in the front saluted me as I walked to the front of the castle. They opened the doors for me. Every guard I passed, they saluted me without hesitation. I kept just looking forward with a straight face and walked into Celestia's situation room. Four guards stood on the outside of the room. They all saluted and one of them opened the door for me. Inside it was slightly darker and there was a long table with three other ponies inside. Celestia was there and so was Luna, and Shining Armor was there as well in his armor and his helmet was in the table.
"Glad to see you made it buddy." Shining armor said to me. I looked at him and smiled as I walked to the table and took off my helmet and placed it on the table.
"So how is the guard treating you Soarin?" Luna asked. I looked up at her and cleared my throat.
"It's amazing mom, everypony gives me respect and salutes me. A stallion could get used to this." I replied with a smile. She just laughed and walked over to hug me. We both hugged eachother and walked back to our respective sides of the table.
"Now, the reason I called you all hear in such a private place and on such short notice was because I wanted to ask you all a question about forming an alliance. It is a very tricky procedure and we cannot let this information get in the hooves of the wrong ponies." Celestia said. We all looked at each other and wondered why Celestia wanted to create an alliance.
"May I ask why you are creating this alliance Princess?" Shining armor asked. She looked at him and smiled.
"The reason am proposing this alliance is because if some enemy like Doom comes up in the near future, we can prevent him from doing as much damage as Doom had did by retaliating in large numbers and putting together all of our minds. To exterminate any threats that may rise." Celestia replied. It made sense why she was doing this. We had to stop enemies like this from trying to take over Equestria again. This sounded like a pretty good solution to any threat. "Now you are all here for a reason. My sister luna is here because I need her to utilize her royal guard and use her magic and power of the night to help us in any situation. Shining Armor, you are here because you have strong defensive spells and you control the earth and unicorn royal guards and we could use that too. Soarin, you are here to utilize your knowledge of the skys and your fellow pegusai royal guards and, if you need, the wonderbolts as well. Your dexterity and ability to stay calm in situations of peril will come in handy." Celestia told us. We all nodded in agreement and we all could tell this alliance could actually make Equestria a more peaceful place.
"Ok so who here is in favor of this alliance?" Luna said. We all raised our hooves and laughed at each other.
"Then I guess that seals the deal." I said. I looked over at Shining armor and high fived his hoof.
"Good, if we could get all your hoof prints on this document, then we will all agree to be on the Solar Alliance." Celestia said with a smile. I looked over at Luna and she was disgusted by the name. She had an odd look on her face, but she shook it off and put her hoof prints on the document. She then passed the document to Shining armor and he did the same. He passed it to me and I looked at it for a moment. It had all of the ponies prints, except mine and I was reading part of it in my head. I then read to the bottom and put my hoof prints on it and slid it over to Celestia. "This is history, Fillies and Gentlecolts. We might have just prevented a future war or an uprise of ponies from completely tearing apart this great land." Celestia said. We all looked at each other with pride and happiness. I walked over to Luna and talked to her for a bit. We were just talking about my first day as a guard and she told me she was very proud. That made me feel happy that I was making my mother proud. I hugged her once more, and said goodbye to her. I grabbed my helmet, put it on, and left outside the castle. When I got outside, I was looking around for Rainbow Dash. She was sitting at a table near the castle. I could see her. I flew over to her, picked her up off the seat, and flew up and stopped in the air.
"Hey Soarin, you scared me there for a bit." She said happily. I kissed her on the cheek and looked into her eyes.
"What? Rainbow Dash, scared?" I said to her in a sarcastic tone. She just giggled as I was still carrying her. She lifted her head up to mine and kissed me back.
"Wow, you look amazing in that armor. How did you get it?" She asked me. I flew back down to the ground with her and set her down. I then did an epic pose in the air, so that my armor would be gleaming in the sun.
"Princess Celestia named me the captain of the RGAF!" I said to her in a prideful tone. She looked at me and started to blush.
"I can't believe my special somepony is the captain of the RGAF! That is amazing!" She yelled as she flew up to me, tackled me down, and hugged me. We were both laughing and decided to go eat and walk around Canterlot for a while. I had bought Rainbow a new dress and other small items, even though she told me not to waste my bits, I still did. We both flew to her house and we stayed outside for a bit and enjoyed each others company.
"Hey, Rainbow. I was thinking and well I was wondering if.....well......if you wanted to, you know, move in with me. We could live together and sleep together, and oh you could meet and talk with more of the wonderbolts because I still keep in touch with them." I asked her. She sat up and looked at me. I could tell I was blushing right away.
"Aww would you look at that? The top gun ace and commander of the RGAF and he is blushing hahahah." She said to me. That didn't help, in fact it made my blushing worse! "But my answer is yes, ill move in with you Soarin." She said to me. I lifted my head up and looked at her with excitement. My heart was pounding. It felt like it was going to pop out of me chest. I ran up to her and hugged her as we both hit the ground. We were both laughing and we both kissed each other again. I could feel excitement and relief rush through my body as I kissed her.
"Well, I guess ill go to my house tonight. Tomorrow I will come over and help you move your stuff to my house ok Rainbow?" I said to her. She shook her head in agreement and we both kissed one last time that night. When I flew back to my house, I felt amazing. I actually started flying all around the sky and doing stunts for no reason what so ever. I was just so damn happy she said yes.
The next morning I woke up and was happy to know that Rainbow was going to move in with me. I started to feel happy and anxious. I quickly got out of bed and walked over into my living room and anxiously awaited Rainbow to come to my house and tell me that she is ready to move in. I was literally just siting down and waiting for a knock on the door. I finally heard the knock on the door and I walked over to answer it. I didn't have my armor on this time. I didn't feel like wearing it. I walked up and answered the door. Sure enough, it was her. I hugged her and she had told me that she needed help getting stuff from her house over to mine. So I decided to help her out.
"I can't wait until you move in with me, it's gunna be awesome." I told her. She looked at me and laughed.
"Yes I am too Soarin. It's gunna be awesome to live with you, we won't have to go to separate houses anymore." She replied. I was honestly happy to have her in my life. She gave me something to fight for and something I cannot lose. I just looked at her and smiles because I knew she was my life now. I couldn't deny that. While I was taking her stuff to my house, I saw that a mail pony had left a letter in my mailbox that was from Princess Celestia. I had put the stuff down from Rainbow's house and read the letter. There was something that she needed to tell me. It was private, I could tell that it was because she kept it confidential. The letter said that Celestia was going to meet me at the Wonderbolts academy.
"Hey I have to go do something. The princess needs me ok. Ill be right back." I told Rainbow. She just smiled and nodded. I walked over near the front of the academy and I saw Celestia there, alone. I had put on my armor before I left. I saw her and bowed to her. "What is it you need Princess?" I asked her. She looked down at me. She was wearing a robe and had a hood covering her face.
"Soarin can I tell you a secret?" She said. I looked at her in a confused way. I couldn't tell what she meant as in secret.
"Ok what were you going to tell me Princess?" I asked her. In a way, I was afraid to ask.
"Well, I have legitament reason to believe that.....well Luna could be plotting against me." She said to me. I looked at her in shock. I couldn't believe this. My mother could never plot against her own sister. She just couldn't.
"How could you make such accusations Princess?" I asked her. I didn't know how she could say something like that about her sister. She looked away and had a serious face.
"Well....my guards tell me that she had been talking with Chrysalis and it troubles me that she keeps talking with her. They have been spotted near the changeling empire talking. They are forming what I believe is an alliance, and I don't like the sounds of what is going on." Celestia said to me. I couldn't believe that she was accusing her of counter intelligence acts. I looked at Celestia and I could tell she wasn't lying.
"I will look into this Princess. I will try to find out if she is working with Queen Chrysalis. Don't worry." I replied. I was scared for my mother and our Solar Alliance might collapse very soon.

The Fabulous Wonderbolts Part 2&3
Part 3 ch.2: Rising suspicions
I had arranged to meet with my mother for some tea at a small restaurant at Cloudsdale. I lived right near it so I didn't have to rush to make it there. I was still helping Rainbow Dash get set up in my house. We were both excited that she lived with me now. While I waited before I go meet my mother, I was talking with Rainbow. When the time came to meet my mother, I left my house and arrived at the restaurant before my mother had. I sat down and waited for her to come. She arrived on her chariot with two of her royal guards who flew her to the restaurant.
"Soarin! There you are. Sorry I was late son, I had to talk with my sister about some minor laws she wants to pass in Equestria." Luna said to me. I smiled and waited for her to come to the table. We both hugged and sat down. "Now what was it you needed Soarin?" She asked me. I looked down and sighed.
"Luna, I need to know. Do you not like the Solar Alliance Celestia had created?" I asked her. Her facial expression was serious right away.
"Well, I mean she could have at least told me she was making this new alliance. Personally I believe this will only lead to more conflict." She replied. She was hinting that she did not like it, I could tell. "I mean why make a new alliance? We were doing well before this." Luna said. She had a type of aggressive tone when she said this.
"Luna, you can stop with the excuses. I am your son, you can tell me something that you aren't telling me." I told her. Her ears went down and she looked a little sad.
"Soarin, my sister is becoming possessive again. She is giving me no say in the kingdom. She named it the Solar Alliance. The least she could've done was ask me if I or we liked the name. She told me we would rule Equestria together, but instead, she just does things without my say at all." She responded. She looked very sad. I looked at her and reached over the table and grabbed her hooves with mine.
"If you feel left out, just tell her something. There is no need to go to a pony like Chrysalis for help." She looked back at me with an angry face. She got up off the table and stare at me.
"The time for words with her is over! I must do what I can to regain my say in this kingdom!" She told me. She stomped her hoof on the floor and left. I looked down in disappointment and couldn't believe what I had heard. My mother was betraying me, her own son. I knew I had nothing else to do, but to tell Celestia that she is unreliable in the alliance. I slowly got up off my seat and walked home in sadness.
That next morning I headed straight for Canterlot to tell Celestia about Luna and what she was going to do. I had a conflict within myself to not do this, but I had to. I felt that I had to let her know that Luna was endangering the whole Solar Alliance, but I couldn't didn't want to do something like this to my mother. I care about her immensely and I would never let Celestia punish my mother.
"Dammit! I don't know what to do! I want to help Celestia by letting her know that she was right, but then again, I don't want to hurt my mother in any way." I said to myself. I stopped outside if the castle and kept thinking about it. I forced myself to do what is best for the Alliance, not for myself personally. I took a deep breath before entering the castle. My heart was pounding and I felt a sense of guilt, but this had to be done. I opened the doors and walked through the castle to the main room where Celestia sat, alone. I bowed to her and raised back up.
"Yes Soarin, what is it you need?" She asked. I swallowed the feeling of guilt and took off my helmet.
"Celestia, what you said about my mother......is right. She is obviously doing something with Chrysalis. Now what it is, I don't know, but all I do know is that the way she replied to some of my questions was, odd and she definitely doesn't like the whole Solar Alliance idea." I said to Celestia. She was saddened by this information, and so was I for even saying this to her.
"Thank you Soarin. I know what you did wasn't easy, but you did what was best for the Alliance and Equestria, and I thank you for that. Now that I know this, I am calling an immediate meeting with the other ponies and you Soarin. I need to take care of this problem quickly." She said. I just looked down at my helmet and felt very sad inside. I didn't know how I could do that to my mother. But she caused this to happen to herself. I didn't even know what Celestia was going to do to her. Celestia walked out of the room and was trying to contact Shining Aromor. I just walked past her and went inside that situation room. It was deathly quiet in the room. I could hear hooves outside of the room, but I was just quietly waiting on what was going to happen. One of the doors opened and Shining Armor walked in followed by Princess Luna, and Celestia. They were all quiet when they came in. Celestia closed the door behind her and sat down at the head of the table.
"What is the meaning of this meeting, Princess?" Shining Armor asked.
"The reason I called you all here is because it has come to my attention that somepony isn't satisfied with what this alliance is trying to accomplish." Celestia said. At that moment, Luna gave Celestia a mean stare.
"Who, pray tell, is that sister?" Luna asked angrily. It wasn't really much of a question because they both knew what was happening.
"Well, Luna if you weren't satisfied, why didn't you tell me? You didn't have to run off to that coward Chrysalis and have her be the one you want to side with." Celestia responded. Luna fell back in her chair and looked at Celestia angrily.
"If you had actually kept your word, and given me some say in this Kingdom, then maybe I wouldn't have left and gone to Chrysalis in the first place!" She yelled at her sister. Celestia was shocked she said this. I felt awkward being here in the middle of this and you could tell Shining Armor was too.
"Well, since you chose to go and talk with Chrysalis, you can now spend all the time you have with her, because you are officially out of the Solar Alliance for acts of treason!" Celestia yelled at Luna. Luna just gasped and jumped back in her seat. She slowly got out of her seat and walked to the door. She then stopped at the door, and turned around to look at me.
"You did this didn't you? Are you happy?" She said to me. My eyes were wide open and I felt the guilt hit me like a spear piercing my heart.
"Stand down Luna!" Celestia replied to her. She wasn't paying attention to her. My mothers eyes were still locked on mine.
"Well, are you? Are you happy you did this!" She yelled at me. I was just sitting there, paralyzed by what she was saying to me.
"Dammit Luna stand down that is an order!!!" Celestia yelled. Luna finally stopped her death gaze with me and locked on a new target, her sister. Luna turned around and opened the door.
"You don't control me anymore. I know where you all stand. You are henceforth my enemies." Luna said as she slammed the door and left. I just sat there and stared blankly into the wall. I was still in total shock about what my own mother said to me.
"I'm sorry you had to witness that Soarin, I didn't know Luna would burst out like that." Celestia told me. I was still frozen by the guilt. Celestia just left the room and so did Shining Armor. I was just looking down at the ground and my hooves.
"What have I done?" I asked myself in a weak tone. I slowly put my helmet back on and just as I did, I felt a tear escape out of my eye and run down my face. I slowly walked out of the room, for there was no reason to stay there.
I flew home and saw Rainbow Dash outside practicing tricks outside our home. I didn't want to bother her, so I just walked inside and put down my helmet. I looked out of a window and sighed.
"It was for the best of the alliance Soarin, just remember that." I said weakly to myself. That night, I ate and went to bed right after. I had a long day, and I hoped Rainbow understood when she saw me asleep.
The next morning I slowly awoke to see Rainbow in bed, still asleep. I slowly got up and out of bed to not disturb her. I walked out to the main room and still felt the guilt, but I couldn't let that effect me mentally. I pushed it away and went to open my front door. In the mail slot on the door, there was a letter. I opened it up and it was from Celestia.
"Dear Soarin,
I was informed by Shining Armor that Luna has made an alliance with Chysalis. They have started militarizing ponies in Manehatten, Baltimare, Fillydelphia. This is, as you know, an act of war. Their intentions are clear. We must meet for one more time before we militarize against them. I am making a public announcement tomorrow. I need to see you and Shining Armor tomorrow for this battle plan for war. They will continue to push on if not stopped, so we must think of something. This is all I know for now. I will update you as soon as I get the chance.
Signed, Princess Celestia."
I didn't think you could ever militarize ponies that fast, but they found a way. I put my armor on and just as I opened my door, Spitfire was on the other side of the door.
"Spitfire? What are you doing here?" I asked her. She looked at me, then the floor for some weird reason, then back at me again.
"Oh, well I was here to see if you were all right. I had heard what happened to you yesterday so I came to check if you were alright." She replied. I looked at her weirdly. She never usually does stuff like that, but I wasn't going to ask why because I had to get to the castle.
"Yeah I was feeling bad, but I am a Royal Guard, so stuff like the doesn't effect me. Anyways, I have to get going, the Princess needs me. I'll see you around." I told her. She just nodded and moved out of the way. She was smiling as she left. It was odd, but I had urgent business to take care of, so I payed no attention to it. I flew off to the castle and ran inside when I made it there. I opened the doors to the situation room. Celestia and Shining Armor were already in there. I took off my helmet as I sat down.
"Good to see you made it Soarin. I have a couple of my generals in here as well as you two because I know war is inevitable right now." Celestia had said.
"Bring me up to speed Celestia." I said to her. She nodded at a general and he walked over one of the walls with a map of Equestria on it.
"As you can see, all of the East Coast region has been seized under Luna and Chrysalis. Now, our spys say that they have intentions of moving into the middle of Equestria and hitting major cities like Dodge city, Appleloosa, and eventually Ponyville. We cannot let that happen. That is where you two come in." The general said. He was pointing at me and Shining Armor.
"Well, we need heavy defensive lines in Appleloosa and Dodge city, that is for sure. We could also use Guards in Neighagra Falls. With ponies in those factions, we could hold them to only try to cut in though the Everfree forest. That would cause them to slow down and we could circle them in and shut them down. But for now, we need defensive blockades set up in the falls, Appleloosa, and Dodge city." I said. The generals looked over at Shining Armor and he nodded and agreed with what I had said.
"We also need defense here in Canterlot. Even though Fillydelphia is still a distance away, they can still try to make an offensive on Canterlot." Shining Armor said. The generals and I agreed. We all started marking up the map and decided as of today, we militarize Dodge City, Appleloosa, and Neighagra Falls. We started assembling our soldiers. Celestia had to make the public announcement so she wasn't there. Shining Armor was dividing up the ponies into squads when I left to Cloudsdale. I had the RGAF meet me there so we could go over what we were doing. When I arrived at Cloudsdale, I could see them all. They all had the gleaming gold suits of armor on. I flew down to them and landed. As soon as I landed, they all saluted me.
"Ok soldiers! We have high tensions in Equestria and we need to give Celestia some breathing room. Foxtrot company, you are to report to Neighagra Falls and keep that place on total lockdown. Don't be surprised if you get enemy opposition there. Your objective is to hold that area no matter what!" I said. I looked at Foxtrot company and they all saluted and flew off in a formation. Each squad had about 35 to 45 pegusai each. "Delta and Bravo company, same objective as Foxtrot. Make it to Neighagra falls and keep that place fortified!" I told them. They did the same, saluted and took off in formation. "Alpha and Charlie, you are to go to Dodge city! You see any of Luna's guard or changelings and you give em hell!" I said. They left and I looked at the last two companies left. "Echo and Crimson, you are to go to Appleloosa and keep that place fortified! Am I clear!" I said to them.
"Yes sir!" They yelled in unison as they took off and left for Appleloosa. As I watched them leave, I had a bad feeling about what was about to happen in the war. Things were about to get hot, it was just a matter of time until they do.
The Fabulous Wonderbolts Part 2&3
Part 3 ch3: All Quiet on the Eastern Front
Ponies by the thousands gathered around the Canterlot Castle. They were all yelling questions about what had happened over the past month. Guards were keeping them from entering the castle. They all wanted answers from the recent turn of events. Finally, Celestia slowly walked out onto the balcony of the castle. All the ponies started to become silent and all looked up at her. Awaiting for her to give them all some clarity on this situation.
"Citizens of Canterlot and all of Equestria. After militarizing and setting an initial border on the eastern seaboard, we had created a DMZ in which nopony could cross. Yesterday, at exactly 2:49 p.m., Princess Luna and Queen Chrysalis declared unconditional war and crossed the DMZ. They viciously and mercilessly attacked our own Royal Army at Appleloosa. Luckily, they were able to hold them to not gaining any ground. All ponies that are affiliated with the Lunar Guard and Changeling Army are now enemies of the state and, if captured, will be imprisoned for acts of treason. These are dark times for Equestria. The Solar Alliance is trying its best to stop their advance and reclaim the eastern cities. I am sad to say that ponies living in the Fillydelphia or Manehatten area are subjugated under Luna and Chrysalis. We will do our absolute best to free them from the iron like grip of my sister and Chrysalis. The only advice I have for ponies that live there is to keep up hope and don't endanger yourselves or the lives of other ponies. We will make it there to free your cities. Do not, I repeat, do not form any type of rebellion, these two are willing to use military aggression and any cheap trick to end those rebellions, so please, wait until the Royal Guard arrive and I wish you all the best of luck. That is all I know so far, I will keep the ponies of Western Equestria updated once I know more." Celestia said to the crowd. She said this in a saddening tone. Everypony was silent after she had walked back into the castle. Some ponies still tried to ask her questions, but were met by guards dispersing the crowd.
I was stationed at Dodge city. I was constantly keeping in touch with Shining Armor, who was in Appleloosa. We both have been at these stations for about two and a half months. I hadn't talked with anypony outside of Dodge city. Including Rainbow Dash. I missed her terribly. This damn war was keeping my from my love, and it was effecting me emotionally. I couldn't let that get in the way of the war, so I would push it away and think like a soldier would. It was getting harder to keep my feelings away, but I tried my best to keep war and emotions separate. I slowly walked outside of a partially destroyed house to talk with two lieutenants. When I got outside, it was extremely cloudy, yet it was warm. The city was quiet. I had a set of ponies on some of the highest buildings searching for any sighs of the Lunar or Changeling armies. I had been awake for about three to four days straight. I couldn't remember, it all felt like one long day.
"What's the report soldier?" I asked one of the lieutenants. All three of us were around a small table that had a map and some other supplies on it.
"Well sir, we haven't had any report of the enemies moving toward us. It has been a stalemate for now, but we have reason to believe that they might move to Neighagra Falls at any time." One of the lieutenants replied. I looked down at the map and was thinking about what to do next. It was hard to think straight. I tried my best to examine the map and find a way to make some sort of offensive.
"If we move straight, we would get caught up in this forest here, so we must move around the forest, but make them think we are moving in the forest." I said. The lieutenants were looking at me and thinking about how to do this. I looked up from the table and looked around the city. It was no longer a city. All civilian ponies were evacuated and this once humble city was now a desolate wasteland only inhabited by the guard. The shops were destroyed, houses ripped apart, trees burnt or literally pulled out of the ground. I walked away from the table and the lieutenants to see the rest of the city. I walked around, the railroads were parted and the tracks were cracked and purposely broken so that any train trying to get in the area would automatically derail. I walked a couple of streets down and saw houses. These once beautiful houses were now forcefully dragged in to this abyss the other ponies called war. I walked into one of the houses and went into a bedroom. It was clearly a filly's bedroom because it had toys and a little bed in it. I walked over to the bed and looked at it. There was a little stuffed pony, one of its hooves was ripped off. I slowly picked it up and looked at it. One little filly that was confused was forcefully evacuated without knowing why or even how long. It saddened me to see this. While I held the little stuffed pony, it felt like my heart was stabbed viciously.
"A little filly was forcefully moved out of his happy home and magnanimous town. We are the monsters that did this and forever intimidated him." I said out loud to myself. "What have I done?" I asked myself. As I said this, I dropped the little toy and fell to my knees crying. I just broke down, I couldn't take it anymore. I just started weeping on the floor of this random house in the middle of this blood thirsty war.
A week after that whole "incident" I had, I decided to retire from the battlefield. It was literally driving me insane. I hadn't slept for two weeks, and I needed to see Rainbow Dash badly. It was killing me that I wasn't around to see Dash at all. I was still broken by the memory of my mental breakdown.
"Ok lieutenant, you are to watch this post carefully and do not allow those bastards to get past this town. This is a key battle position and we need it. Understood?" I said to him. He shook his head and saluted me. I saluted back, then my ride to Canterlot arrived. I was going by chariot because Celestia wanted to see me about my requisitioned absence. I hoped up on it and the ponies started to fly. It was a long trip, and on the way there, I fell asleep. It was the first peaceful rest I had in weeks. When I woke up, we were in Canterlot and I walked into the castle and waited outside of the main room where Celestia was. She was talking with another pony. I saw the pony come out, it was Spitfire.
"Hey Soarin, long time, no see. What's up? Why are you here?" She asked me.
"I was about to ask you the same. I am here because I am retiring from the battlefield." I replied. She looked, happy for some reason.
"Wow really? That's awesome! I am happy for you! Now we can catch up on all the stuff that has happened here, although it isn't much." She said happily and finished her sentence with a small laugh. I just looked at her as she left.
"That was odd." I said to myself. I just forgot about it and went in to see the Princess. She was sitting inside with other guards around her and she was saying something war related.
"Ah Soarin good to see you made it back alright. Now why did you want to come back?"she asked. I walked forward and took a deep breath.
"Well, I was literally going insane out there Celestia. I was dying to see Rainbow again, I hadn't gotten any sleep for the past two and a half weeks, and I realized what we did with those poor civilian ponies that lived there. This war has to end Celestia!" I said to her. She looked shocked by what I had said about this. She took a couple of moments to think of something to say.
"Well Soarin, we are doing the best we can to end this war. We tried reopening negotiations, but they do not want to speak to us." Celestia replied. I just looked at her with sadness.
"Let me try negotiating with my mother, this war needs to be stopped soon. Ask her to meet us somewhere neutral with no weapons of any sort from both sides. Tell her I only want to talk with her. Get back to me when she gives you an answer, I am going to go home." I said to her. She just nodded her head and I flew out of the castle. I made it to the academy where my house was. It looked the same as when I left it. I still had my armor on, but I didn't want it on at all. I walked up to the door and knocked on it with my hoof. I waited for a bit, and the door opened. I saw Rainbow Dash. Once she saw me, she threw open the door and hugged me. I stayed there hugging her for a long time. We looked at each other and kissed. I hadn't kissed her in a long time so the feeling felt new again.
"I've missed you so much! I couldn't stand being away from you Soarin! I love you so much!" She told me. I just looked into her beautiful eyes and I felt a wave of happiness hit me and I just kissed her again and held her tight around my hooves. After I had settled in again and took of the dreaded armor, I decided to go out for a bit and see what the wonderbolts were doing. I saw them all flying around doing stunts and acrobatic moves. I saw Spitfire on a cloud instructing them what to do.
"Hey Spitfire, what's up?" I asked her. She turned around and was startled to see me.
"Oh hey Soarin, what are you doing here?" She asked.
"Just thought I would drop by and see how the wonderbolts are doing. Hey can we talk somewhere else?" I asked her. She just nodded her head in agreement. She told the wonderbolts to continue practice and walked over with me to her office.
"So what was it you needed?" She asked me. I looked at her and thought for a little bit.
"Well I was wondering if you could let me be in the wonderbolts again? This Royal Guard crap is too much for me." I asked her. She looked at me confused for a little bit.
"Well yeah I guess I could but why do you want to leave the guard? Isn't it amazing?" She asked me.
"It's a long story and no it isn't amazing, it's the opposite. But so can I join again?" I asked her. She just nodded, and I smiled.
"Although I need you to do something for me first before you join the wonderbolts again." She said to me. I was about to ask what it was, but then the door opened and Rainbow Dash came in. I looked at Rainbow as only her head was in the room. When I looked back a Spitfire, she was leaning over her desk and kissed me! I tried to back away from her, but it was too late. I felt her lips on mine. I pushed her away and looked at Rainbow Dash, she just slammed the door. I ran out of the door.
"Rainbow wait! It isn't what you think!" I yelled to her, she kept walking and flew away. "Rainbow........don't go........" I whispered to myself.

Part 3 ch4: Heart Breaking Happiness
"Rainbow please! It wasn't what you think! Spitfire kissed me and I didn't have enough time to push her away!" I yelled to her. She was flying as fast as she could and I was trying to catch up to her. I caught up to her and tried to grab her. She smacked me away. When she did, I could see her tears in her eyes. I stopped and watched her leave. "No.......please don't go my love......please." I said to myself. I was starting to tear up and I just slowly flew down to a cloud. I thought for a little bit and I flew to my house as fast as I could. Rainbow was inside and she was taking her stuff out of the house. I landed and ran inside. "Rainbow please my dear, I didn't do anything! You have to believe me!" I said to her. She stopped in a hallway.
"Why would you do this......to us? I thought what we had was perfect, but apparently you wanted more. I'm sorry I couldn't be that one to.......to make you happy." She weakly said. She was crying and I could see it when she turned around. I couldn't stand to see her crying. She just continued gathering her things. I just stood there, paralyzed by the saddening look on her face. Just as she was about to leave, I stopped her and grabbed her. By this time, I was crying.
"I didn't do this. Please don't leave. I didn't cause this pain to you, Spitfire did, please believe me." I said to her slowly. I was crying as I looked into her heart broken eyes. She just slowly took one of my hooves off of her and walked out of the house. I just slowly walked toward a window of my house. I looked out and started to have feelings of anger and sadness at the same time. I was pissed and sad. I ran up and threw my helmet on the floor. "Son of a bitch!" I yelled. I ran out of my house and flew directly to Spitfire's office. I ran and burst open the door. She was sitting in her seat and looked up because of the noise. I ran up and pinned her against the wall. "What the hell is your problem!" I said to her. I was practically yelling.
"What do you mean? I was just showing my actual feelings for you Soain, ever since we were fillys, I have felt this way about you." She replied. I let her go, but I was still staring daggers at her.
"You knew I was already happy with Rainbow Dash and you fucked it all up!" I yelled at her. She took a couple of steps back.
"She didn't love you like I do, come on Soarin, don't you remember all those fun times we had together as fillys?" She told me. It was true that me and her had dated around that time, but I had moved on. She apparently didn't.
"That was a long time ago, you knew I was in love with Rainbow Dash, if you really cared about me that much, then you would've left me alone with her because I was happy." I replied. I was still extremely angry with her. She just sadly looked at me.
"Soarin, I knew I could make you happier, I felt that I could treat you better. I wanted to be happy with you." She replied in a desperate tone. I just looked at her. I couldn't stand to believe she had done this to me.
"If you really want to see me happy, then you will do what is right and tell Rainbow that it wasn't me who caused this, but you." I said to her. When I said this to her, she just looked at me. "We have nothing more to discuss." I said to her. I heard her call my name, but I left. As I came back to my house, there was a letter on the welcome mat of my house. I picked it up and opened it to read it. It was from Celestia saying that Luna and Chrysalis had agreed to negotiations at Appleloosa. Celestia told me to meet her there as fast as I could today. I put on my armor, and told Fleetfoot to come with me just in case we needed backup. We both flew off to Appleloosa. I had wondered what Rainbow Dash thought about me. She now thinks I am an asshole all because of Spitfire's stupid crush. I just shook it off and tried to only think about the negotiating. When we had arrived, there were Royal Guards facing Lunar Guards and the Changeling Army. They were just blankly staring at each other. On one side, was Western Equestria, the other, Easter Equestria. They were all just waiting on their respective sides. There was a small house in between both lines of guards. That was where we were to meet. Fleetfoot and I walked to the house. The guards on our side saluted us and opened the door. Inside, was Celestia, Shining Armor, Luna, and Chrysalis. I walked in and Fleetfoot stayed in the corner of the room just in case. They had a pony on the other corner as well, the tension was intense, you could feel it in the air.
"So it seems we are all finally here to end this tragic war, are we not?" Celestia said. Everypony sitting at the table agreed.
"I want to speak with my son about the negotiations." Luna said. I looked over at her and she was staring at me.
"Proceed." Celestia replied.
"Hello mother, I hope we can both agree that this war is not worth endangering so many ponies lives." I said to her. She looked over at Chrysalis, then back at me.
"Well I do too, and it isn't worth all of this bloodshed. So let us start, if we end the war now, what will be the outcome?" Luna said. I looked at Shining Armor and Celestia. I took a deep breath and cleared my throat.
"I believe you two want some of Equestria under your leadership, but we cannot agree to that. Instead, we must think if another way to have everypony happy about this. For you, mom we will be willing to have you back in the castle and you will have a say in everything Celestia does. The power will be split 50/50 between you both." I said. After I finished talking, Princess Celestia looked at me in shock. Luna was considering this in her mind.
"What about me? I need to gain something out of this, or I will continue this war on my own." Queen Chrysalis said. I looked over at her and I started to think of what I could give her.
"As for you, you will get a section of Equestria all to yourself and your Changeling empire. It cannot be a very populated city though. I was thinking Vanhoover and the island off the coast." I told her. This was a daring negotiation tactic to use on Chrysalis, I was sweating hoping she would take the land. Luna looked like she had her answer. Chrysalis hadn't objected to what I said yet.
"I want more than fifty percent of say in the kingdom." Luna replied. I looked at her in shock.
"You know we can't do that mom. We have to keep it 50/50 so nopony feels left out here." I replied to her. She was looking at me with a straight face.
"We both agree to the terms our companion here has offered." Celestia said. Shining Armor shook his head as she said this.
"You are one good negotiator my son, that is why I am so proud of you." Luna replied with a smile on her face. She extended her hooves and I walked over and hugged her.
"It's good to have you back mom." I said to her. She just hugged me tighter.
"It's good to be back son." She replied. She was smiling and when we stopped hugging. I looked over at Chrysalis as Luna and I went over to our sides of the table.
"I will except on one condition." Chrysalis said. I looked at her suspiciously.
"What would that be?" I asked her.
"Well it's nothing much, I will take the land you offer me for me and my Changelings......with one exception......we take your life with us too!" She said. Just as she said this, I looked behind me and a Changeling soldier jumped at me with his horn aimed at my chest. I closed my eyes and heard him pierce something, but not me. I opened one eye, and Feetfoot stood in front of me, the horn hit him in his stomach. He fell off the horn and hit the floor. The Royal and Lunar Guards came in and surrounded Chrysalis.
"Fleetfoot!" I yelled. I bent down over him and he was bleeding intensively. "Fleetfoot buddy just relax, I'm gunna get you home buddy, don't you worry." I told him. He was shaking.
"I....I can't feel an-anything." He replied slowly. I looked at his wound. It was bleeding in copious amounts. I looked at him and put pressure on the wound. I took a can of water from one of the soldiers and used it to clean off the wound. It was still bleeding intensively.
"Give me some bandages dammit!" I yelled at one of the guards. He took them out and gave them to me. I took some and wrapped it around my hoof and applied pressure to the wound. He started coughing blood and I didn't think he was getting better.
"S-Soarin......I-I don't want to-to die. Please Soarin, I-I don't want to die." He weakly said to me. I looked at him and could see he was shaking a lot.
"You won't Fleetfoot, I'm gunna get you all fixed up and you'll be flying before you know it pal." I responded to him. I kept pressure on the wound. It was still bleeding heavily.
"I don't want to die. I-I'm n-not ready to d-d-die yet Soarin, p-please. D-don't let me die." He said to me. I looked at him and changed out the bandages around my hoof. As I did this, I used water to clean off the wound again. I was sweating and wasn't paying attention to the other ponies in the room, just Fleetfoot.
"Your not going to die buddy, just calm down and try to take deep breaths." I told him. I kept reassuring him that he wasn't going to die, but he was still shaking badly. I kept repeating the procedure of his wound. I would apply pressure with my hoof that had the bandages on it and remove it to only add water. "Don't give out on me you son of a bitch, I will bring you back to Cloudsdale on my back if I have to!" I yelled out. He kept shaking and more blood came out of his mouth.
"I-I don't want t-to........d-die." He kept repeating. I looked at him, he was crying by this time. I kept at it as much as I could. "Please S-Soarin please d-don't let m-me........" He stopped after that. I looked at him and took off his flight goggles. His eyes were still open and I heard him give out one last breath. I slowly raise my hoof from the wound. I ripped off the bandages and threw them on the floor.
"Son of a bitch! I could've saved him!" I yelled. I got up slowly and closed his eyes with my hoof. I slowly closed my eyes and and let out a deep breath. Luna came over and put her wing over me. I looked at her in disappointment.
"Take her to prison this instant." Celestia declared pointing at Chrysalis. The guards took her out of the room. I just took Fleetfoot's goggles and put them on his chest.
"I need to go back home. I need to see Rainbow Dash." I said to both princesses. They both just nodded their heads and I flew back to Cloudsdale. I flew as fast as I could, I still had blood on my right hoof. I went to my house first, cleaned my hoof, and went to Rainow Dash's house. I knocked on her door. When she opened it, she was about to close it, but I stopped the door from closing.
"Rainbow wait, I just need to say something to you. After that, you can close the door if you want." I Told her. She stopped and waited for what I had to say. "I love you Rainbow, and I need you here. I will go crazy without you. You are the love of my life forever and I need to be with you because you make me feel like I have never felt before. You are such an amazing mare, and I don't know any other pony I love more than you. You make me feel like I could do just about anything. I need you Rainbow Dash, and I finally worked up the courage to tell you how I actually feel about you Rainbow and how much you make me the stallion I am today. So what do to say? Can we have dinner at my house tonight?" I said to her. I can't believe I was doing this now out of all times. I mean, my loyal best friend just died and I was doing this? But I felt that if I didn't do this now, I would never be able to get another chance at this. She just looked at me weirdly for a while.
"Soarin, you have a way with words that I can't believe. But that is one reason why I need you so much too! We were both made for each other my knight in shining armor." She replied. As she said this, she opened her door and hugged me. I just held on to her and wanted nothing else, but her.
"I love you so much. Let us never part." I said to her. She just held on to me. I looked down at her and she looked back up to me. We both got closer and I felt her lips connect with mine. I was filled with joy and a rush of adrenaline hit me when she kissed me.
"Spitfire came over and told me what had happened. I know it wasn't your fault. I also have some news for you." She said to me. I couldn't believe Spitfire actually did that.
"What was it you were going to tell me my sweetheart?" I asked her. We both took a couple of steps back and she took a deep breath and looked at me with a smile.
"Well Soarin, I am pregnant." She told me. My eyes grew wide open. I was just overcome by this sense of joy when I heard this. I picked her up and flew up into the air, we were both laughing.
"I'm gunna be a father? I can't believe this!" I replied. She just laughed as I carried her in the air. We both kissed and I we both kept laughing. I have to admit, this was the happiest I had ever been, and I was glad I could share that happiness with Rainbow Dash.

The Fabulous Wonderbolts Part 2&3
Part 3 ch5: The Death of one; The birth of many
It took about three months for me to recover from the tragic loss of Fleetfoot. It didn't really hit me that he was dead until a week after he had actually died. I had told Rainbow about it and she tried her best to comfort me about it. Fleetfoot and I had known each other since we were fillys and we always got along. Having the memory of him dying at your own hooves was burned into my memory to the point that I couldn't let it go. The funeral was taking place at the wonderbolts academy. We all had special black uniforms on when friends and family started to gather for him. As his casket was carried through the main walkway, all the wonderbolts had their heads down. We all looked at the floor with out goggles off. As his casket reached the front of the room, we all looked up and saluted. As Spitfire talked about Fleetfoot, I sat down next to Rainbow and kept my head down. I felt her hoof on my back, but I was still looking down. One by one, the wonderbolts were walking up and saying their memories of him and all he had done. When I had to go up, I slowly rose, and I walked down the walkway with my head still looking down at the floor. I got to the podium and put my front hooves on it and cleared my throat.
"Fleetfoot was an amazing pony that I will never forget. He was the fastest pony on the wonderbolts and was a true friend. In that room, when he was...killed, he took the hit for me. I should have been the one that got hit, but instead, he made a noble act and saved me from certain death. For that, I thank him." I said. I turned and looked at his casket. "I miss you buddy. You really saved me and I could not be more grateful for what you have done for me, friend. You truly deserve the title of Wonderbolt and hero." I said as I looked at him. I could hear one pony in the crowd start crying. I walked up in front of his casket and saluted him for the last time. As I stood there saluting, four ponies flew over us and did the "pony down" ceremony. The four flew over us and when they came directly over the crowd, one of the four flew up, symbolizing that Fleetfoot had ascended from us. I walked down the walkway and sat back down. Rainbow looked at me and hugged me. I hugged her back and tried to hold back the tears from leaving my eyes. When we finished hugging, I kissed her. We stayed there for the rest of the ceremony and left soon after. It took me a couple of days just to recover from just the funeral.
"Hey Soarin, check this out." Rainbow told me. I was upstairs as I heard her say this.
"Yeah what's up?" I asked her. She had a newspaper in her hoof. She gave it to me and I looked at the main story. "Luna and Celestia come to agreement to end war, Equestria no longer split." I read to myself. I started to smile and I saw the picture of them both signing the document. I chuckled and hugged Rainbow Dash. "I'm so glad that war is over, now I can spend all my time with you, and our child of course." I said as I laughed. She giggled and smiled at me. We kissed again then, I walked over to the couch and she jumped on me and we both fell on the couch and started making out. I could tell that everything was finally the way it should be in Equestria. When we kissed again and again, she gave me assurance that things would be better. I was just filled with happiness and absolute joy and I could see just pure bliss when I looked into her eyes. "You know, you have the most beautiful eyes?" I told her, she just giggled and kissed me again. "I hope our baby has your eyes, he or she would look beautiful with them." I said to her. After I said this, I laughed and she just looked at me happily.
"Actually it is babies, Soarin." She corrected me. I stopped laughing and looked back at her. I slowly built up a smile and wrapped my hooves around her neck and continued making out with her again.
"I love you so much Rainbow, and I know we will make awesome parents. Especially you." I said to her as I smiled. She just blushed and I kissed her on the cheek. She got up and I got off the couch. "We should probably visit my mother and tell her you are going to have kids. She will flip out I just know it!" I said to Rainbow. She nodded and I put my wonderbolt uniform on. She put on a dress I had bought for her and we had a chariot take us to Canterlot. When we had arrived, Canterlot was back to normal. There was no extra security or feeling of discomfort at all. We both walked to the castle and went inside. When we got to the main room, only Celestia and Luna were there.
"Ah Soarin, what brings you to Canterlot?" She asked. Rainbow and I bowed to her.
"We are here to see my mother actually." I replied to Celestia. She just nodded and Luna walked forward and Luna and I hugged.
"Hello my son. What is it you need?" She asked me. I looked at Rainbow, then back at Luna.
"Well Luna, you already know my girlfriend, Rainbow." I said. Luna nodded and looked at Rainbow. "Well, she is pregnant and we are going to have twins! You will be a grandmother." I said to Luna. Her eyes opened wide and she just laughed and hugged me and Rainbow.
"You have made your mother very proud, Soarin. This time I will not leave their side. This is just so exciting." She said. Celestia walked up and congratulated us both. Luna and Rainbow were talking. This was the first time I saw my mom acting like a little filly because she was so excited. While I watched them talk. Celestia walked up next to me and smiled gently. I just looked at her, then back at Rainbow and Luna. I looked out of one of the windows. I walked toward it and proceeded outside though the balcony. I just looked out into Canterlot. I was proud of what I had done and all the accomplishments I had archived. I just chuckled to myself as I thought about it. I went from nothing, to the academy, to the Grand Galloping Gala, to assisting Celestia overthrow Doom, to helping prevent a war between the royal sisters from getting any worse than it had. I had to say, I exceeded my expectations for myself. After doing all that, and gaining massive respect from Celestia, and learning my mother was Luna. I knew that I had become what I had dreamed of since I was a filly. I was now considered not only a wonderbolt, but a "Fabulous Wonderbolt."
