He stood in the crowd, moving his Chalice silver hair out of his eyes, so that he may better, gaze up at the princess of the Sun, and all Equestria. Princess Celestia herself. This year for the Summer Sun Celebration, she came to Manehatten. He felt his heart drop as she appeared, giving a smile, and walking past, then he finally spoke.
"Princess Celestia!" He yelled, trying to get her attention.
She turned, facing him. "Yes my young disciple?" She gave him a warm smile.
"My name is Silver Shine, and I wanted to ask if... IF I COULD BE A ROYAL KNIGHT!" He stood in the proudest stance that a boy of 7 could stand, awaiting her answer, with his eyes shut. Refraining from wiping the sweat off hi forehead.
"I don't see why not." She giggled slightly. He looked up, not believing the words he heard.
"R-Really!?!?" He smiled brightly.
She nodded. "After the Celebration, I will speak to your parents." She smiled one last time before departing towards the stage.
After the Celebration, the young boy approached Celestia. Her gaze met him, as he walked triumphantly.
"Well hello there Page Silver Shine." She smiled, then noticed his lack of parental figures. "Where are your parents young Page?"
"They... They aren't here..." He looked to the ground
"Well, I would like to meet my new Page's pare-"
"Y-You can't..." He cut her off. "They aren't here...."
She pieced it together. "Oh... I-I'm sorry..."
The silence between them grew, before he broke the silence.
"I guess I can't be a knight then..." She remains silent for a bit.
"I never said that." She kneels down, lifting his chin so that she could speak to him face to face.
"A knight is never without flaws, and is measured in how well he is able to deal with them, more than how he can leave them desolate." He remains silent as she continues."And if you don't have parents to take care of you, I will." She smiles sweetly at the young boy.
He tries to contain his enjoyment as he stands in front of his princess, almost fainting from the excitement of living with the princess of Equestria!
"But I have to ask," She stated, giving a pause and looking deep into is Rose Quart eyes. "Where are your parents?"
He remained silent, then looking to the ground. "I.... I don't know... I never knew them..." He continues to look at the ground, following the cracks in the cobblestone with his eyes, then she finally retorted. "I... I'm sorry to hear that...." She stayed kneeling, then stands.
He looks up at her, as she extends her arm, and smiles warmly. "It would be my pleasure to have you with me young knight." He smiles, as he runs and hugs her. "Thank you princess."
She is taken aback, but returns the hug. "No need to thank me Silver Shine, I am doing a service, for you." They hold the embrace for a couple of seconds, before entering the Golden plated chariot. pulled by pegusi, and towards Canterlot.
15 years later
"Silver?" She entered the room, wobbling a bit. 'My water just broke." He stood from his chair to help his his partner. "A-Are you sure?" She looked at him, her dress dripping from the fluid leaking from her. "I think I'm pretty damn sure!"
She breathed heavily as she began to go into labor, as they carted her into the maternity ward, Silver Shine holding her hand as he ran along side the gurney. "Just breath hun, breath." she looks at him, squeezing his hand. "What the fuck do you think I'm doing!?!?" She screamed, then going back to breathing heavily covering her eyes with the other hand.
As they reached the ward, a doctor pulled Silver away. "Are you the father?" He asked just for conformation.
"Yes, yes I am. May I ask why?" He raised a brow at him.
"Well, we need to know whether or not you will be with the princess while she is in labor is in labor?" He says, gesturing towards another entrance into the ward, "And if so, I'll need you to follow me."
He nods, and follows the doctor through the door, and into the ward.
Celestia continues to breath heavily as the enter one of the rooms, doctors waiting at the ready to deliver the baby "W-Where's Silver?" She demands, her eyes darting around the room.
"I'm right here." He stands next to her, holding her hand. He grasped it firmly, as the doctors got into place. "Alright princess, we're going to need you to push now." One of them says, sitting, waiting get the baby as it comes out. She nods, and gives out a slight grunt as she pushes, her heart rate racing. "It's crowning, BPM?" The doctor asks. "119." A nurse responds. "Good."
After 6 hours of child birth, Celestia now sits with a brand new baby boy in her arms. "What should we name him?" Silver asks. Celestia sits for a bit, contemplating a name.
"Nebula Gaze." She smiles at him, the faint line of his magicians mark, coming in. "Prince Nebula Gaze huh?" He smiles, kissing her on the cheek. "Sounds wonderful."
The fights between the two were unbearable, and shook the foundations of Canterlot itself for a full year, until one day. He left.
"Wake up Nebula." She smiled sweetly, whispering, not trying to disturb him too much. He yawns, opening his eyes slightly as she kissed him on his forehead, after moving his onyx black hair out of the way.
She leaned over him slightly, then picked him up. "Happy birthday Nebula." she said as she continued to smile with loving eyes, and protecting arms around him. "Is my little prince hungry?" She continued to smile, and he nods. "Well, what would you like for your birthday breakfast?" She begins walking out of the room, towards the kitchen. "Appwe Pancakes!" He declares.
"Well alright then." She giggles slightly, smiling, and humming melody to him as she sets him in his high chair, and begins making the pancakes. The aroma of the pancakes filled the air of the castle, the new sun shining through the stained glass windows, creating a kaleidescope of colors on the pure white marble floor.
She set the small plate of pancakes down in front of him, and began walking back to the stove to make more. As soon as the plate touched the table in front of him, he began to eat them vigorously, getting the syrup and bits of pancakes everywhere.
"Nebula, slow down, you're eating like there's no tomorrow." She giggled as she walked back towards him, picking up a rag and dabs his face, cleaning the syrup off. He squirms in the chair as she does, wanting to get back to his pancakes. "Quit squirming Nebula, you're making it harder than it has to be." She continues to dabs as he stops squirming around.
After he's cleaned up, she heads back to the stove. "Would you like some more?" she asked, turning on the burner again. "YES!" He exclaimed, pointing his fork into the air. "Yes what?" She looked back at him over her shoulder. "Yes please." He smiles at her, dangling his feet off the high-chair. She turns back around, and begins to make more pancakes.
After finishing a couple more pancakes, he was full. Celestia picked him up after cleaning up a bit, and brought him back to the room. As they got to the room, he yawned slightly. "I see my little prince is still tired, that's okay, you can sleep all you want." They enter the room, and she sits on the bed with him in her lap as she caresses his head.
She hums slightly as he sleeps. "Auntie?" A voice rings out from the corridor, a young girl with pink, purple, and blonde hair enters the room. "Auntie, are you in here?" She pauses, to see Celestia holding Nebula. "Um... Auntie, who's that." Realizing she's been caught, she gave a short sigh, then smiles. "Cadence. This is your cousin. Nebula." Cadence walks to the bed, to see the sleeping little boy. "A cousin!?!?" She smiles, overjoyed with the idea of a cousin. "Shhh. you must keep your voice down, I do not want this information to fall upon spying ears." Celestia quickly snapping at her.
Cadence covers her mouth and nods, then asks. "How old is he?" She sat on the bed next to the Princess. "He is two years old." She smiles, looking down at Nebula, who is still fast asleep. "Really? Just three years younger than me... Wow..." Celestia giggles slightly. "Mhm, and today is his birthday." Cadence looks up at her. "Really?" She smiles brightly, and Celestia nods, then looks up with a distressed face. "Oh no..." Celestia picks up Nebula, and hands him to Cadence as she gets off the bed.
"What is it?" Cadence asked as she watched her aunt scramble to get changed. "I completely forgot the high counsel is meeting today, could you please watch Nebula for me? I'll be back as soon as possible." Celestia walks towards the door, and looks at Cadence. "Of course." She smiles and nods. "Thank you." Celestia smiles, and leaves the room, leaving Nebula and Cadence alone.
