Equestria has never really needed lawyers , Celestia and Luna have been such good rulers that ponies never needed a reason to commit a crime. Until now, the government is going out of wack, the once small taxes raising, more laws being put in place, and things generally going mad, while other political ponies are trying to stop it. While all this madness is going on in canterlot, rebel gangs are forming, committing crimes and causing more problems.

I love the Pheonix wright games, despite never played them, and I thought this would be a interesting concept to write on. This is not a 'human transported to equestria' story, It is written like they were always ponies, they don't even know what a human is. I have heard that the protagonist for some of the games is a girl, and I thought it would be a nice addition to the story for Pheonix to have a sister.
