CMC Adventures: The Dance

Diamond Tiara sat in her room thinking “I can’t believe those blank flanks got dates already hmmph, I’m never going to live this down if I can’t find a date for this dance now who can I ask.” Diamond sat there looking over who is in her class.

“I’m sure anyone of these colts would be glad to go with me but, none of them will do hmmm, I think I know just the boy to ask” she walked out of her room and into Ponyville heading towards a particular library.

Silver Spoon sat in her room “who am I going to ask if I don’t find a good date then Diamond is going to lose it.” She got up and headed to her window “none of the colts in our class live up to Diamonds standards and the only colt I wanted to go with is going to the dance with Sweetie Belle.”

Silver Spoon walked back and forth racking her brain trying to think of somepony to ask until an idea sparked in her head she rushed out of her home before anyone could ask her where she was going.

Diamond Tiara walked up to the library and knocked on the door while she was waiting her friend Silver Spoon came up to the library too, “huh Silver Spoon what are you doing here?” before she could respond a purple unicorn opened the door.

“Um can I help you two?” she looked down at them

“Oh yes, can I talk to Spike please?” Silver Spoon asked before Diamond could,”Twilight raised an eyebrow “uh sure thing” Twilight walked back into the library to find Spike.

“Silver how did you know I wanted to talk to Spike?” Diamond looked at her friend wondering how she read her mind. “What? you’re looking for Spike too? I just wanted to see if he can go to the dance with me.” Diamonds eye’s widened at her friends statement,”Wait whaa…”

“Um Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon? you wanted to talk me.” The two of them turned to look at the purple dragon standing in front of them, Silver Spoon was quick to respond “Spike I was wondering…” she was interrupted by her friend “now hold on Spike I was going to ask you…” Silver spoke up, “hey this was my idea, Spike would you…”

They kept interrupting each other not letting each other finish “HEY!!!” the two turned to look at the dragon, “what is it you two wanted to ask, I need to get back to work.” The two fillies blushed at there arguing in front of someone, “Will you go to the dance with me?” they both asked in unison. “uh… sure…” Spike spoke slowly as he wasn't sure who he answered.

The two fillies spoke simultaneously, “Good pick me up about an hour before the dance starts on Saturday.” the two began walking away leaving Spike at the door confused.

Twilight came up behind Spike ”uh Spike? what did those two fillies want?”

“I think I just got a date for the dance this weekend.” Twilight smiled, “That's great Spike which one are you taking?” Twilight looked at Spike happy for him, Spike kept looking at where the two of them walked off to “Both.”

As they were walking they both came to a realization Silver was the first to speak up, “Wait, did he say yes to me or you?” Diamond scoffed at her friend “I can’t believe you would even ask him when I was obviously there for the same thing?” Silver was annoyed by her friends selfish answer “I only wanted to find a date that would meet your standards.”

“And why would you think Spike would meet my expectations.”

“The fact that you were there asking him the same thing.” the two stood there glaring at each other. Diamond broke the silence, “Well it looks like Spike said yes to the both of us, so it looks like we’ll both go with him that should make him happy and everyone else jealous."

Silver rolled her eyes at her friends statement and thought to herself “I'd better get to Spike before Diamond and prepare him for a night as her date.” Silver Spoon looked at her friend, “Well I better get back home, should we meet up tomorrow to find some clothes for Saturday?” Diamond rolled her eyes at her friend, “Of cause I'm not going to that dance without proper attire, come over early and we’ll find the perfect thing to wear.”

The two continued with Silver Spoon only nodding to everything Diamond said.
