Okay, I know I am an idiot, but damn. Silver thought to himself as he awoke in a darkened room. Urgh my head. What the buck did I drink? And second, where the buck am I? Turning around, he came muzzle to muzzle with a sleeping DarkMint. “Oh buck, tell me I'm dreaming.” he said aloud, causing the mare to wake.

“No, you're not dreaming; and I'm sorry I didn’t realize that I had given you an alcoholic drink.”

“It's okay, but boy does my head hurt.” He said, rubbing his head with a hoof. “What happened after I drank it? Did I pass out?”

She nodded. “Yup. I've never seen someone do that before.”

“Well color me pink, because I'm shocked you stuck me in the bed.”

“Well, I wasn’t going to let you sleep on the floor or couch, so the bed was a better option.” she said, blushing.

“Well I thank you for that, and just so you know, I'm not mad at you so please don't be upset.” Silver said, snuggling close to her, causing her to blush an even deeper crimson.

“Can I say something?” Silver asked.

“Of course, what is it?” dark said in a whispered voice.

“I like you a lot. And when I say a lot, I really mean it.”

“I like you a lot too, Silver. “You've been on my mind since the party we went to, and after talking to you, it was the best feeling.”

“Well DarkMint, will you be my marefriend? I mean, you don't have to answer right away, just think on it and give me an answer tonight, okay?”

“That sounds fair, and how about I give you my answer over a proper dinner; without having you going unconscious?” She said with a giggle.

DarkMint(pov)

Did he really just ask me out? I'm in total shock! she thought to herself, as she and Silver started to work on the big parts of the tavern.

“So what are we going to be adding to the tavern?” Silver asked, waving a hoof in front of her face, trying to get her attention away from her day dream.

“I think we need to get the cable working, so we can set up the TV and make sure it doesn't go out.”

They both heard a knocking at the door, signaling that the cable stallions had arrived, and were ready to work. As Silver let them in, they tipped their hats, and got straight to work.

“So, what shall we do while they're busy working?” Dark asked, realizing that it was starting to get dark early.

“Shall we embark on our dinner date, and see where it leads from there?” Silver asked.

“Sure, lets go.” She replied.

Making their way to a new restaurant that opened a day ago, Silver noticed Applejack working the tables.

“Hey there AJ! How are you doing tonight?” He asked, surprised to see her.

“I'm doin' great! And let me welcome y'all to the Apple family diner!”

“So you and your family opened a diner? I'm truly impressed!” Dark said, as silver took his hoof into hers, smiling as they made it into the diner proper. The diner itself was Cowpony style; with a pool table, a bar, and many other accessories.

“Well color me impressed yet again!” Dark said to AJ, who simply nodded.

“What can I get y'all tonight?” The country mare asked.

“I'll take the dinner special, with some apple cider.” Dark said.

“And what about you Silver?” AJ asked.

“I'll have the special as well, but make my drink an apple moonshine, with just a hint of lemons. AJ nodded, making her way to Big Macintosh, who was busy cooking in the kitchen.

“So, about my question...” Silver said, grinning a bit at a giggling DarkMint.

“Yes, Silver I will be your marefriend, but only on one condition: you'll have to move in with me.” She said, a sly smile forming on her lips.

“Well, how could I refuse a condition like that! Of course I'll move in, if that's what you want.” He said, kissing her as she leaned into him, almost laying across the table, but stopping herself, pulling away after the kiss.

“Holy horsefeathers, you’re a great kisser Dark, and I mean it!” He said to the blushing mare, who realized she was laying across the table after their moment of passion.

“I feel like a school mare after that kiss!” Dark said with a smirk, as she kissed him once more, causing him to fall on his rump while she giggled.
“That isn’t fair Dark, it really isn’t. But just watch out; I'll get you back... Just you wait.”

“Oh really?” Dark asked, smirking once more, only to get a surprise from Pinkie Pie, who seemed to appear from the shadows like a ninja.

“HIYA!” She said, making both Dark and Silver Jump up in the air.

“What the buck Pinkie! Why do you keep scaring us like that?! And what’s with that cannon?” Silver asked, pointing to her party cannon which she seemed to pull out of nowhere.

“I'm a ninja, remember?” She said, bouncing around the couple, who just shook their heads thinking to themselves: Why us... but also giggling at the same time.

“Well, can we get back to our food now Pinkie? I'm hungry, and I'd very much like to eat in peace.” She nodded, bouncing her way out of the restaurant. “Finally!” Silver exclaimed in annoyance. “I thought she'd never leave!”

“I know what you mean.” Dark said. “And believe me, I'm just as hungry. It's been a long day, and the cable stallions should be done by now, so I'm eager to get back to work on the tavern.” Dark added in a hushed tone.

“After they left the restaurant, and made it to the tavern, they saw that the stallions were just finishing the last cables, and ensuring that all of the TV's were in working order. Nodding as they saw the couple, Dark signed the paperwork that was presented to her, allowing the stallions to finally leave.

DarkMint(pov)

The night went slowly after the cable stallions had left, so both she and Silver decided to swap stories of their pasts.

“So silver, what is the best drink you had and when did you have it,

“Well the best drink I've ever had, was a Phoenix martini, and that was about four years ago at my birthday party. How about you?

“Mine was an iced martini, with a pinch of raspberry juice, and that was about a year ago at a family reunion.”

“Aww, family reunions are always fun, aren’t they?” Silver chuckled, as Dark blushed a deep crimson, pushing him playfully.
“Well, my family is crazy and the parties they have are just... Wow. Trust me, you would feel completely out of place if you met my folks.” Dark said. He wrapped his hooves around her, kissing her softly.

“Well, I'll have to meet your family at some point, right? So I suppose it pays to be prepared.”

“You've got that right!” She replied. “Just wait until you meet my cousins; they are complete lunatics.”

A knock on the door signaled the tragic end of their cuddle time. I wonder who that could be? Silver thought to himself as he opened the door, and was greeted by Rarity, holding the tavern sign up for both to see.

“I've outdone myself, darling! I finished it in record time! She exclaimed with pride. “I do hope it brings out the best in the tavern.” She added with a starry-eyed smile.

“I love it!” Silver said, looking over his shoulder at Dark who nodded in agreement as rarity put the sign up at the door.

After Rarity had left, Dark sighed. “I'm tired as buck. Tonight was just ridiculous, but awesome. Spending time with my coltfriend, who I swear to Celestia is absolutely nuts.”

“Oh gee, thanks Dark, I feel so loved.” He said, crossing his forelegs, but couldn’t stay mad as he burst out into mirth at the faces Dark was giving him.

“Shall we head to your place?” Silver asked.

“Yes. I need a shower, and before you ask, you may join me, but only if you behave.” Dark said.

“Oh, now that's not fair!” He whined as she brushed past him, making their way back to her house.

As she unlocked the door, she noticed that someone was in the house. Before considering she had the door locked when she left this morning,

“Someone has been here Silver, and I think they're still here.” She noted. He nodded, following her into the house, where they were greeted by Silver's old boss.

“Well, look who dragged himself out of the dark, eh Silverhoof?” His old boss said in a menacing tone.

“What the buck are you doing here?!” Silver exclaimed in a harsh voice, causing Dark to flinch.

“I came here to get payback. After you left, some of your old friends came and beat me up for kicking you outta town. So I'm going to kick your sorry flank for making a fool outta me.”

“So, you want me to send you home crying? Well, I'd be more than happy to.” Silver said smiling, but it quickly turned to a frown, once he saw that he had two guards with him.

“Dark, get the mayor and the police. Now!” Silver yelled, as he charged the two Stallions who seemed unfazed at his charge, only to buck him into the wall. Dark left without hesitation, marching up to city hall and getting the mayor.

Back at the house

Silver tried to dodge the Stallions as much as possible, landing a few blows, only resulting in enraging them more. This is bucking ridiculous! He thought. These stallions must be made of steel! They just won't fall down!

After ten minutes of fighting, all Three of the stallions were out of breath and panting, as the police stallions came barging in to apprehend the two guards, and Silver's psychotic ex-boss, who was none too happy being hauled off to prison. Dark rushed in, wrapping her hooves around Silver's neck, holding him close.

“I'm glad your okay.” Dark said to him, kissing him tenderly.

“I love you, DarkMint. And thanks for getting the police; I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn't.

“I'm just glad that you aren’t hurt.” She said, nuzzling his cheek. “Now, lets go get that shower.”

Following her upstairs into the bathroom, he noticed that it was much bigger than the one in his old home.

“Well damn Dark, we've got a big enough bathroom for the both of us.” He said to the blushing mare.

“Yes. I imagine we'll be using it quite often.” She said, giving him a sultry wink as she turned on the hot water, letting the tub fill up. She teasingly flicked her tail, briefly exposing her more private anatomy, causing Silver to blush.

“That isn’t fair, you know.” He said to her as he slapped her flank, causing her to let out a sharp squeak. He whistled, backing away just as she tried to kick him. He helped her into the tub, and she came to him; nuzzling close to the stallion who had won her heart.

“I love you, Silver she said to him. I love you to Silver said kissing her as she and him stayed in the tub for awhile before heading to bed

The next morning

DarkMint(pov)

Waking up, she noticed that her cuddle buddy wasn’t in bed, so she got up and caught a whiff of cooking food. Is he cooking for me? She thought while giggling, as she made her way down stairs.

“Good morning love.” Silver said, as he continued to cook pancakes and eggs.

“Well this is a shock.” She said. “Normally I make food, but I'm not going to complain.” She added with a smile.

“Well, I hope you're hungry,” He stated. “Because this will be breakfast and lunch for today, so get it while its hot!”

The spread was great, and she ate without missing a beat.

“Well then, shall we get our day started my dear Silver? Because we need to get some taste testers for our drinks and food.”
“But of course, my love!” He chimed with a smile.

They made it to the tavern, only to find the mayor waiting for them...
