chapter 6 the invitation

Note to self never drink moonshine before going to bed . Silver thought to himself as he saw his ex-boss get out of the carriage he was in.

“Thought you could have gotten rid of me so soon didn’t you Silver? Well, I am back and don’t fret. I am here with a peace offering for you and Dark Mint.

“Okay. What is it?” Silver asked in a stern voice.

“I want to invite you and Dark Mint to dinner at the estate in Canterlot for a dinner party. That’s all really!” He said smirking.

“Dark what do you think love?” Silver asked her.

“Only under one condition. You do not try anything while we are at the dinner party and I may let you live.”

“Fair deal. Trust me, I won’t try anything; besides, this is my apology. So, I shall see you two tonight!” He said as he got into the carriage leaving tickets to Canterlot behind.

“I see a trap written all over this.” Dark said shaking her head. Silver nodding agreeing to the mutual thought.

As Silver and Dark made their way to the train station they stopped by the library to have Twilight dig info on Silver’s ex-boss . They told her to tell Berry that he is in charge until they return.

Arriving at the train station they gave the tickets to the booth admin then got on the train heading for Canterlot. “Well it has been ages since I was in Canterlot.” Dark said snuggling up to her stallion.

“Well, I did not want to go back there yet. Not for a while at least, but I am happy as long as your with me.” Silver said to her.

2 hours passed when they arrived in Canterlot. “Wow! This place is huge!” Dark said as she playfully shoved Silver making him giggle to calm his nerves.

“Thanks love I needed that.” He kissed her deeply.

They made it into the open area looking at the castle as well as the riche parts of Canterlot.

This place is amazing! I mean really amazing! I never knew the castle was this enormous! She said.

“Want to see the bar where I worked at? Silver asked.

“Oh can we! I want to see the sights before the party starts. It’ll gives me a chance to plot against him just in case he decides to play dumb and make a fool of you.”

“May I ask for you to be civil Dark?” Silver said. ” I know he made me look like a fool, but he is a nice guy. When he wants to be that is.”

“True! Besides, a party is what we need to start off our relationship, don’t you think?”

“Your right, plus I think Princess Luna will be in attendance. So he better not try anything at all!”

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking love?” Dark asked.

“Yup, I am! Let’s make a fool out of him so that Luna can see how much horse’s ass he really is.

“Holy horse feathers! This place is extravagant! Dark said as she trotted along side Silver Hoof whom seemed nervous and hyped at the same time,

“Yeah it is!” He replied as he saw some of the celebrities: Facy Pants, the Wonderbolts and DJ-Pon3with Octavia who is a regular in Ponyville.

“Welcome!” Mr. Shinners said as he came up to Silver giving him a hug.

“So, he invited you as well Mr. Shinners? Seeing as you’re a regular, I’, kind of shocked to say the least.”

“Well, he is the one who wanted me here for some announcement later.”

What kind of announcement I wonder. Silver thought to himself. “Well, we’ll find out soon I guess.”

“Fillies and gentlecolts ! Welcome! Please take a seat as I prepare the speech for tonight; and as always I want to give a thank you to Mr.shinners for helping me set up this event. IT is time to speak to a certain pony named Silver Hoof. In ten minutes I will speak again, until then: mingle!”

“That doesn’t sound too good.” Silver said to Dark. She growled in response before snapping to reality by a kiss from Silver’s lips.

“I am going to sit down and relax. Want to join me Silver? Dark asked winking to her colt friend.

Few minutes passed.

“Take a seat!” Said Silver’s former boss. “I am going to say this one thing Silver. You caused me a great deal and I plan on getting you back tonight.”

“What do you plan to do?” Silver asked quickly dismissing the threat.

“By killing your trusted friend: Mr. Shinners. Then, I’d be killing you as well. So, what do you got to say for yourself Silver?”

“Well, for one. I will not be tolerating this behavior.” Luna said in her royal Canterlot voice as hell broke loose with assassins everywhere.

“Kill Silver first!” One pony said pointing to both the couple who stood their ground bucking assassins as they came by.

“This is stupid!” Silver said bucking one pony in the head and then knocking some sense into another.

“I agree sugar cube!” AJ replied appearing from the trees whom landed on one ponies head. Dark laughed at the display.

“Thank the heavens for messenger birds, right?” AJ said winking to Mr. Shinners who was also trying to hold his ground against the assault.

THE AFTERMATH

“Well, this sucks!” Dark said to both stallions and the other mare who was locked in combat with the final assailant.

“So, how do you like that fact that you are going to die?” Silver’s ex-boss said laughing with a sword in his mouth.

“ You planned this all along? To kill Silver?” Dark yelled pulling out the hidden blade she kept near her at all times.

“No Dark! Let me handle him.” Silver said stepping in front of her taking the hit then falls onto his rump.

“So, Silver playing the hero for an ex of mine. How annoying! I should of killed you before her, but no. You insisted on living; though, this is perfect! The both of you will die and I will be free of the past from both my lives.

“This is how it ends!” Mr. Shinners said. “Spare these two and can take my life.”

“I don’t think so! They will die!” Silver’s former boss said. His blade came to a stop when he swung it at Mr. Shinners taking the blow intended for the couple.

“MR.SHIINERS! NO!” Silver yelled as his ex-boss ran towards the night as the police stallions raided the party.
