A Bridge To A New World

As I awoke I could tell I wasn't on Earth, I heard animals off in the distance and opened my eyes to find myself in the middle of a forest in the middle of the night. 'Now that step one is taken care, time for step two finding out where we are. Let's see if the stars can help me find where to go.' As I looked up my jaw dropped, in the moon was "The Mare in the Moon" I was in Equestria! I fell and kept looking at the moon in disbelief but then shot up from where I was sitting down.

"If I'm in Equestria than that means I can meet Luna when she's reformed! But the question right now is when is the 1,000th Summer Sun Celebration?" As I looked back up at the night sky and searched for a bit I found the North star, at least I know which way is which now then I suppose I'm in the Everfree so time to get up higher and find a way to get out of here. I climbed the highest tree closest to me and got to the top with ease, climbing stuff since I was little always paid off.

"So by the looks of it Ponyville is in the West right now so lets just hope I can get there in one piece." I jumped out of the tree half way and landed while barely making a sound, and ran west. About two hours later I found a road, I was sidetracked by a pony shaped skeleton wearing a cloak I helped myself with the cloak and it somehow managed to fit and go down to my knees.

'Now then time to make a quick trip into town. Let's just hope I don't cause a stampede since the ponies appear to be frightened easily.' I continued down the pathway and stopping just short of Ponyville, I rushed over behind the nearest house and began sneaking my way around. The Town appeared to be mostly empty besides a couple of ponies walking around. 'Now then time to gather some info' I silently said to myself. I was hanging out in the alleyway when a stallion passed by.

"Excuse me sir, can I ask you something?" The stallion jumped when I spoke clearly not expecting a voice. He turned his head and noticed me a little since I was hiding behind a trash can.

"Why... um of course young stallion what is it?" I thought through it a bit, I would seem a bit suspicious if I asked the date so I asked him why the town was so empty since it doesn't seem so late.

"Pinkie Pie is throwing one of her parties for somepony who arrived in town earlier today. Why are you new here stranger?"

I answered with a yes and took off, 'so today is the 1,000th summer sun celebration, perfect I got to act fast. Now then step three find the library if it's one pony that won't run off at the sight of me it's probably Twilight.' Once again I traveled in the shadows and heard the noise of a party. After about five minutes of locating the source I saw the library, so I dashed off behind it and started to climb once again. It was a difficult because of the lack of branches but thankfully there were a few holes I could use to climb and reached the top floor window.

"Everypony in this town is crazy!" The sudden voice made me jump and nearly fell before I grabbed on to one of the holes, so Twilight is right there and Spike should be talking to her now but I felt as if something was missing. As I turned my head once again my jaw dropped, the stars were aiding Nightmare Moon in her escape. 'No more time to fool around time to get serous!'

As I knocked on the window I heard the sound of hooves beating against the floor and then suddenly Twilight opened the window with her magic and looked around and saw me hanging by the left side. The hood of my cloak kept my face a most of my body covered as I did a "hushing" movement. Somehow she understood and asked why I was there, I told her everything would be explained inside so she picked me up with her magic and put me inside while shutting the door. 'Step four not to change anything future related'

"All right who are you, and what were you doing outside the window?" Let the interrogation begin, I had her sit down and put down my hood.

"The name is Micah, and I'm here because Nightmare Moon is going to return. So we have to stop her!" Twilight had the look of determination and satisfactory on her face.

"Finally it seems somepony understands that she's going to return but how are we going to stop her without The Elements of Harmony?" Right as she finished there was a knock on the door and Spike came in telling Twilight it was time to watch the sun rise. Twilight turned her head and had a look of confusion as to why I wasn't there. Right as Spike knocked I dove to a hiding place and thankfully a book shelf was wide enough for me to hide behind and not be seen when you first enter the room. I saw Twilight's look of confusion and nodded to her to go on, she seemed to understand what I was planning so as Spike and Twilight left I climbed out the window and began to follow the group of ponies heading to Town Hall.

'Here we go, I'm about to meet Nightmare Moon but not on good terms. Don't worry princess I will help free you from the nightmares as you have helped me' Twilight was looking around and I waved to her, she notice me and went back to walking knowing I was still there. As we reached Town Hall I slipped in through a window in the back of the room in the shadows and hide behind a pillar. I could see Twilight near the edge so I pulled out a coin from my wallet and slide it so the coin was just tap her. She jumped and looked over to my direction and saw me and silently made her way over.

"I see you made it in okay but now what?" Just as I was about the speak the sound of horns overtook the room and then Mayor Mare began talking. 'Better speak fast it's almost time.'

"Meet me back at the Library then there will be more time." Twilight was about to say something when Mayor Mare did the introduction for Princess Celestia and no luck she wasn't there. Then a laughed filled the room and their she was Nightmare Moon. Twilight let out a gasp as I jumped out the window and began dashing for the library. About half an hour later Twilight and the rest of The Mane 6 burst in the library where I placed Twilight's book out on the table.

"Hello Micah, are you here?" 'Well, here we go.' Out of the back of the room I stepped out from the shadows with the hood of my head. Everyone but Twilight jumped back when they saw me but Twilight calmed them down.

"There's no time to worry about me right now, I will explain everything about myself after Nightmare Moon is taken care of." Everyone but Twilight still seemed a bit hesitant around me, so we planned and took off into the Everfree. Everything was going as it was in the show but then something side tracked me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something small move all I caught of it was that it was pony with a magnifying glass as a cutie mark, I put it off as nothing at the time I would have to come back later and investigate. We made finally made it to The Castle of the Sisters and found the Elements. I told Twilight I would go ahead and investigate while she works with the elements. I made it to the thrown room but not one minute later there was a flash of blue and Twilight and Nightmare Moon showed up.

"Micah help don't let her get the elements!" I closed my eyes and slowly began walking toward Nightmare Moon.

"Oh what is this, a strange creature dares approach me. My you foolish being do you have a death wish? Because we can surely grant it."

"Princess, I know you don't want to do that you're not a Nightmare just corrupted but you have a chance of redemption. You we're corrupted by Envy because you didn't receive praise from the other ponies like your sister did. Now then let us help yo--- gaaaah." As I was sent across the other side of the room and started rolling I thankfully didn't hit the wall to hard and as I opened my eye there was a furious Nightmare Moon.

"YOU THINK WE WILL BE LECTURED BY A. UNKOWN CREATURE? WE WILL NOT STAND HERE AND LISTEN TO SOMETHING THAT HAS NO IDEA WHAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH!" In that moment Nightmare Moon smashed the Elements as I looked back at Twilight with a shocked look on her face. Then when it everything seemed lost Rarity, AppleJack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Pinkie all came in and got next to Twilight.

'There we are the moment for them to shine' Twilight began speaking about the new Element bearers as I got up but then all of a sudden a glow appeared around me but one that shown of both Light and Darkness. As The Mane 6 used the Elements I clenched up my right hand that was in the Light glow and shot a beam in the element blast causing it to glow even brighter. After the huge flash that overtook everything Luna was laying right in the middle of the armor of Nightmare Moon. Celestia then appeared and they had a touching  moment.

'Well at least we have the true ruler of the night back.' Celestia then went over to Twilight to talk but I wasn't expecting Luna to come over to me as my thoughts were interrupted by the tug of my cloak.

"Um we wanted to apologize for our actions and blasting you with our magic. We weren't ourself so we had no control over our actions. We ask for thy forgiveness?" As I knelt down I picked up her hoof and planted a kiss on it what a gentleman would do.

"You do not have to ask for forgiveness Princess. If you need anything just contact me." Luna then left with a nod and a huge before returning to Celestia who then proceeded to trot over to me. As I bowed she asked if we could outside and so we left the room.

"I watched you try and talk to my sister even as she was still Nightmare Moon. I must say you are a brave one and also kind, you seem willing to be able to help my sister. So I must ask why do you want to help her?" As I stood up from where I was sitting down I pointed to the moon and the stars.

"Because ever single night since I can remember I have always loved the night. When I was having a rough time all I had to do was look up and the stars and the moon would be there to put a smile on my face. Princess Luna has had it rough and I wish to help her because that's what I want to do. I want to help others so they don't have to suffer any longer. Those are my reasons Princess Celestia."  Celestia nodded and gave me this pendant of a star and told me it's a way to communicate with Luna that she would get something like that soon and walked off.

The next day was spent answering Twilight's questions about me. I told her where I'm from, what I am, I scared her a little by telling her I'm an omnivore when she saw my teeth, I told her about humans and told her we knew about the stories from there world as myths. Rainbow Dash seemed really interested in competing against me sometime, Fluttershy took some interest in me since I was a new species in there world, Rarity really wanted to try making some human clothes, Pinkie said that she would have to throw me a party, and AppleJack said if I need a job I could help out at their farm.

"I think I'm going to enjoy it here." Before I fell asleep under a tree in the park for a quick nap I thought about my friends and family back on Earth. I will try to find some way to communicate with them but right now I feel like I'm needed here.
