Heart of Shadows

An Alicorn with a black coat paced around nervously. Her black, spiky hair was flying in the wind, and the midnight purple highlights stood out. She has purple horse shoes, with elegant etchings. Her stormy grey eyes, the rim midnight purple, were filled with worry. Her unicorn horn and large wings stood out as well. It signified she was a Alicorn. Midnight purple armour with beautiful etchings was strapped onto her. Shadow Chaos was her name. Shadow originated from Cloudsdale, her father Pegasus, mother unicorn. She was waiting for her dearest friends, Lightning, Ice, Blaze and Star.

• Somewhere Else -

A mint blue Pegasus was trudging tiredly through the forest. It's mane was blonde with pink highlights. Her green eyes were focused in returning to the kingdom. A royal blue Pegasus was following her. He had sea green eyes and a brown mane. One of his wings was twisted in a weird angle. His eyes were full of pain, but he carried on following the mint blue Pegasus.

"How much longer do we have to walk, Sky Strike?" he asked

"Not longer Thunderstorm. Just a few more miles." Sky Strike replied

Thunderstorm sighed. His right wing was broken. While sending a message to Appleloosa, they found it destroyed. An army of griffons stood in all the chaos. The two of them alone couldn't beat the griffons, and they retreated. However one griffon saw Thunderstorm, and lunged for him. Sky Strike killed him, but he managed to break Thunder's right wing. For a member of Celestia's most trusted army of Pegasi, this was the worst thing that could happen next to death.... or two broken wings. Thunder had to get to the castle quickly. They arrived at Canterlot, and he sighed in relief. He didn't realise how far they went.

"Wait here. I'll alert the royal guards." Sky Strike said, and ran off into Canterlot hurriedly

Thunder sat down in relief. He sighed yet again, and twitched slightly. A sick feeling filled his stomach. Deciding to take the chances, he walked into the gates of Canterlot, where Sky was talking to guards. Two of them ran forward, and helped Thunder walk. One hoisted Thunder on his back, and ran to Celestia's castle, to the infirmary to Strawberry Sprinkle. She was a light pink horse with a red mane, and hot pink eyes. Hr cutie mark was a red plus with little strawberries and sprinkles. Celestia's most trusted nurse, she can heal almost anything.

• Ponyville -

Rainbow Dash cleared the skies, trying for a quicker score than ten seconds. Yet again, she couldn't beat it. She sighed, and relaxed on a cloud.

"Have to hurry!" she heard from above her

Looking up, she saw a grey pony with a blonde mane. She had yellow eyes, and her cutie mark was a yellow thunderbolt. Her grey wings were outstretched far. She was high in the clouds, but Rainbow Dash could still see her.

"Sonic Lightning!" she yelled

She bursted forward, lightning trailing her. She was surrounded by lightning, now as fast as lightning. Zooming past Rainbow, she hurried somewhere.

"Damn, why is Canterlot so far?" she muttered

"Hey! Who're you?" Rainbow asked

She stopped, lightning still around her. "You don't know me? I'm Lightning Dash!" Lightning introduced

"I'm Rainbow Dash." Rainbow replied

"I've heard of you. You're the element of loyalty!" Lightning recalled "And I saw you at the Wonderbolts academy. I quit that after I started to make the night with Shadow, Star and Luna."

"You make the night?" Rainbow was dumbfounded

"Yep. And day, and storms and other weather." Lightning added

"Woah." Rainbow thought about doing that

"You did the Sonic Rainboom as well!" Lightning remembered "I saw that at Cadence's wedding!"

"You were there?" Rainbow asked

"Yeah. I had to do the weather and stuff." Lightning said

"Cool." Rainbow said

"Oh yeah! I have to get to Canterlot. Now!" Lightning said, and took off "Bye Rainbow!"

"Bye Lightning!" Rainbow called

Still on the cloud, Rainbow decided to go into Ponyville. She hopped off her cloud, and descended to the ground. She walked into Ponyville, to be greeted by her best friends.
