Never Lose Faith: Short One Shot [Slice Of Life]

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy walked alongside eachother, both frowning. "Fluttershy, I need you for tornado duty. Remember all those years ago at flight camp and what I said then?" The yellow pegasus nodded shyly, and repeated it. "Do not give up on yourself, and believe that you can do it. You lose faith and you lose the ability to do anything."

~~~Flashback~~~

Fluttershy flew through the cloud ring and landed. She smiled until she heard a mean voice. She turned and saw her tormentor. "Haha, Klutzershy! Nice job--NOT!" Fluttershy started crying. Why? Why does everybody hate me? Why not anypony else? "You're just a big bully, Hoops. Leave Fluttershy ALONE."

Hoops smirked. "Look, Dumb-bell! It's Rainbow Crash, here to stand up for the loser!" Rainbow flew up and grabbed Hoops. "You think you and your gang of mean ol' bullies are superior. But you aren't and in fact you are all inferior! You hurt everypony with all your mean talk and I am SICK OF IT!" the rainbow maned filly yelled. "What ya gonna do, Rainbow Crash?"

"Tell the flight coach about this little incident." The others looked a little scared, but Hoops didn't back off.  "Rainbow Crash, you haven't lost yet. Right, gang?" Hoops' followers exchanged glances and most of them walked away muttering the same thing: "Maybe she's right."

Hoops suddenly turned and flew away after his gang, yelling at them to come back. and Dash walked over to her friend. "Fluttershy, are you okay?" Tears streamed from Fluttershy's eyes. "N-no." Rainbow looked into her friend's eyes. "You'll always be okay. You aren't a klutz, that was a great job! Do not give up on yourself, and believe that you can do it. You lose faith and you lose the ability to do anything."

"You're right. You really can do anything if you have faith in yourself." Later that day, Fluttershy was flying faster than she ever had before, because she was flying not for something, not for the tornado duty, but for somepony. For her friend, Rainbow Dash.
