Book the Second AKA Finding a calling.
I awoke shortly before the dawn in the area that I had falsely attributed to a forest. Yes there were trees but they were more spaced out than those in a forest would be. I made a quick decision to leave the area when my stomach growled and I had realized that hadn't eaten in hours. Looking around I couldn't find any food on the ground (I would've just wiped off the dust). I looked into the trees and saw apples. So I reached up and took a couple. I made sure to save the seeds in case I came across the owner of whoever owned this place. I had quickly made my way out of the orchard (for that was what I now perceived it), and made it to the top of a hill. Something made me stop and just watch the sunrise, which is a rare occurrence for me. I just sat and watched it. I immediately thought of home, even if half of me was happy to be away from them and wondered if I was being missed. I would have given anything to have gone home at that moment. After a few minutes of remorse that I may never get to see my family again. I got up and moved to the forest that I saw in the distance, something about the forest made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. I shouldn't have even bothered heading that way as a few steps towards the forest I heard a scream from my left. I immediately started running in that direction and saw a small village. I would have known the name if my mind wasn't on protection mode.
I ran without thinking into the town and immediately met up with a guy that was about my height but was more muscular than I was. I could see he was busy torturing a creature that resembled a small pony. My kind demeanor instantly disappeared as I said, “Why don't you pick on someone your own species.” He turned to look at me as the pony ran and said, “Another weakling, but I'm surprised I'm not the only person here. Why did you get involved in that. That didn't concern you.” With that last sentence he charged at me. I did what my instincts told me to, mainly get him away from something that can't defend itself. So I ran for the area that I had watched the sun rise. By now, the sun had risen to about what I would say is the 8 o'clock position when I had reached the hill. We were both pretty tired but I had one advantage over him, just like he had one over me. I was still thinking clearly while his adrenaline was pumping his body with a second wind. I turned back to face him when that girl I had met whenever I had awoken popped into my head. I looked down at my side and, sure enough, the blade was still there. I drew it when the guy I was facing reached behind him and to late noticed the zanbantou on his back. I just had to run into this without thinking didn't I, was my first thought while my second thought went back to my home world. I had remember what I had learned, well watched about swordsmanship. I settled into a one handed stance that I remembered seeing multiple times. He charged at me and swung his sword at my head planning to decapitate me. It would have worked if I hadn't ducked. I sliced at his leg as he shifted his blade to take another slice at me. I succeed slicing his leg and rolled out of the way as he took a step back and swung at me again. I felt pain shoot through my left arm. I forced myself not to cry out in pain as I got up. I looked at my hand and almost fainted. There was a lot of red, and my left arm was quickly becoming numb. The man laughed as I looked at my hand. “Playing hero wasn't all it was cracked up to be, was it,” he asked sarcastically. I put my sword in my mouth and gingerly put my hand to my shoulder. I bit down on my sword to avoid screaming in pain. I quickly let my left arm go and put my sword back in my right hand, my left hanging uselessly at my side in pain. “You don't know me very well. Pain is a just reason to defend others from you, ugly,” I replied with a smile, music popping into my head . That seemed to make him laugh louder, “There's the trash talk I've been waiting for. Picking on those ponies didn't provide the thrill I needed. Now, let's end this.” With that he charged at me again as I readied myself to attack him. It must have looked like a scene out of a movie or something. We both sliced at each other as we passed. I could feel him hit me. That combined with all the pain I had been pushing through forced me to my knees. Looking back at my opponent and saw him falling. Before he hit the ground, though, he burst into green flames. The man had disappeared before he hit the ground. I turned around and just sat in silence. I then started a relived laughing and put my sword down right next to me. I grasped my left arm up near the shoulder and found the arm didn't pain me as much. It would appear that I have improved regenerative properties here. Thats intresting, very, very interesting, were my thoughts at that time. Funny thing, time. I began to feel tired when I saw a grey pegasus land next to me, and in a few moments a brown pony with chestnut hair was beside it. "Well this is interesting. Let's get him back to the TARDIS quickly Ditzy," the brown pony said. From his voice I would have to say he was a male. The pegusus next to him nodded to him and they both lifted me up onto the pegasus's back as something hit me over the head.

Book the Third AKA Meeting The Doctor and Ditzy
I awoke in the middle of a big room filled with buttons and levers and slide-y things and whatnot. Tied up in a chair it gave me a chance to reflect on everything that happened. Wasn't easy with a throbbing pain in my head, but I did my best. 1. Landed in a strange world with more trees than a national park. 2. This world seemed to have more ponies than a farmhouse. 3. Some of the ponies could talk. . . wait shouldn't that be number one on the list? Ahhhh, never mind. 5. . . wait no 4, how did I forget 4? Oh well. 4. The apples here seemed sweeter than back home. . . HOW IS THIS HELPING THE SITUATION?! I'll just. . . stop going through the checklist then.
It was a few minutes before my savior/kidnapper walked through the door. The brown pony walked up a few steps, around a giant console, back down the few steps and over to me. “Oh, hello. Your awake. I told her there was nothing to worry about. . . for the most part.” I gawked at the pony as he stood smiling at me. I shook my head clear and smiled broadly, “Hello, great delusion of mine. At what time does the narwhal bacon?” The brown pony tilted his head and looked at me funny. “I hit you harder than I thought. Strange, the screwdriver didn't say anything about brain damage. . . Ah, I see what's going on. You think your crazy and in an attempt to escape your insanity you're trying to be insane to the objects of your insanity.” I gawked at him again. “That is the most sensible thing my insanity has ever said. . . I can't be insane can I. . .” I trailed off hoping that he would tell me who he was. I wasn't disappointed as he introduced himself. “I am The Doctor, other ponies call me Doctor Whooves, no idea why, bloody unimaginative if you ask me.” I tilted my head and could only ask, “Doctor Who?” The Doctor chuckled and answered, “Just, The Doctor. You are in the TARDIS, that stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. That darling gray pegasus that you saw earlier was my assistant Ditzy Doo. She's off delivering the mail right now. Really takes her job seriously. . .” I was beginning to become annoyed. “Doc, are you going to let me out of these chains. Why all the precautions anyway?” He seemed to have just realized I was still a 'captive audience', “Oh, right, sorry I had to make sure you weren’t a bad person. I didn't think you were after saving that pony but I couldn't be sure,” he gave me a knowing smile, “You know how humans are.” With that he used a weird device that seemed almost like a screwdriver and waved it at the lock that I had just noticed was next to my right hand and it unlocked. The chains fell to the floor as I stood up and stretched. I gave him a smile and looked around the TARDIS. “Quite the machine you've got here Doctor, why doesn't anyone notice how big it is?” I asked curiosity getting the better of me. The Doctor gave me another smile as he walked over to the door he had entered from and peeked out. “It's safe to see I guess. Come on outside but hurry, wouldn't want anyone to see you and cause a panic about a strange alien, now do we.” I hurried over to the Doctor and stood outside next to him. “Its bigger on the inside,” I muttered as a stared at the small blue police/pony box. He chuckled and proceeded to re-enter the TARDIS with me right behind him. He turned as soon as I got through the door and closed it behind us. “Now,” he declared (if he had hands, this is the part were he would clap them together, still did a good job of it with hooves), “Let's see if we can do something about that nasty little standing out problem that you have.” The Doctor pointed the screwdriver-like device at me and I instinctively stepped out of the way. He pointed it at me again and I heard a muffled, “Don't worry this shouldn't hurt one bit.” I realized that it was pointless because, well he was probably going to trap me anyways. A blue laser hit me in the face as I felt myself changing. I blacked out again. I shook my head clear as I saw another person in the TARDIS other than the Doctor and myself. The gray pegasus from earlier, “I assume that you're Ditzy Doo?” She nodded and smiled. “Want a muffin,” she asked holding a muffin in her hoof. I reached out for it and saw that my arm changed to a dull red hoof.
I probably freaked out a bit because I remember waking up a few minutes later with a throbbing pain in my head, The Doctor standing with a rock in his hoof. “I do wish that you weren't so excitable. I hate having to hit you with this rock.” I shook my head clear again and glared at him. “Then stop hitting me,” I muttered and looked over at Ditzy, who was looking at me with concern. I smiled and said, with a reassuring voice, “I can take a few knocks to the head. It's thick enough.” She smiled and offered me the muffin again which I took, without freaking out, and ate, rather clumsily (YOU try eating for the first time without fingers, but fully working arms). The Doctor cheered after I had taken the last bite and said, “That was bloody marvelous! Congratulations, you are now on your way to passing as a normal pony. Just one last thing you need to learn. Your cutie mark.” I looked with a disappointed stare. “Couldn't you call it something cooler than 'cutie mark',” I complained, to which the Doctor shook his head. “Nope, sorry, that's what it's called. We can't have everything that we want. Because then, I'd be a ginger.” I stared at him after the last part and mumbled, “I just meant tell me it under a different name.” I looked at myself in a mirror. I saw that not only was I a dull red, but covered in a brown cloak, as well as having somewhat more animated blue eyes. “Now a cutie mark is located on the flank, or rump as it were, of each pony once they find their special talent, which you already found. So let's get a look, shall we?” With his question still hanging in the air he walked over to a fan and turned it on. The cloak fluttered in the breeze like a cape and on my 'flank', as it were, I saw a lion and a tiger. I looked at The Doctor to give me some directions and he merely muttered to himself, “Never really seen any animal cutie marks other than that one pegasus, what was her name again. . . ah well, I'll remember it eventually. Now what to name you? Leon? Tyler? Stop me whenever I say something that really sticks your fancy.” I put a hoof up and shook my head. “Don't you think I should be the one to pick the name Doctor,” I asked and he thought about it for about 30 seconds and nodded. “I think I should go by Red-mane, or maybe Simba.” The Doctor, along with Ditzy looked at me and laughed to which I just sunk my head in defeat and muttered, “I'll, just, go with Tyler, then.” The Doctor and Ditzy's laughing subsided after a minute or two and Ditzy walked over to the door of the TARDIS and motioned for me to follow her. I went over to the door and heard the Doctor say to us, “Ditzy show him around the town and introduce him to those six, what were there names again? Midnight Twinkle. . . one had something to do with apples, one had something to do with dashing or something to that effect. . . Ah, well they'll introduce themselves. Have fun!” And with that Ditzy opened the doors and we exited the TARDIS and began walking into the town I had saved that pony from earlier.

Book the Fifth a.k.a Choices
We stared at the book. I shook my head saying, "Really? A prophecy about some savior that will rid the whole of Equestria of the chaos that may or may not exist. How much do you really trust this princess of yours. . . on second thought don't answer that, you trust her enough to believe the prophecy, ergo, you believe that this era of chaos is on your door step. I think your all just being very silly with this. I mean, how do you predict something that won't even happen in your lifetime?” Rainbow Dash seemed to think my observation about their believe in the prophecy was a direct insult to either the princess or her self, haven't bothered to ask her what she was mad about yet, anyway she flew up into my face and in a suspicious tone, “How do we know that your not one of these forces of chaos in disguise, huh. You seemed suspicious today. With the titles and everything.” I took a step back and sighed as she flew up to into my face again. “If I was one of these forces of chaos that was written about don't you think I would have offered to help you? Think about it hot-head, if I had wanted to enslave every-pony don't you think that I would have offered to help and fight these things,” I motioned to the book pretending not to have the words to describe the other humans that would come, and ultimately need to be destroyed, “and get you all to lower your guard around me then strike,” I countered making the point as simple as possible so that even someone has dim as an infuriated Rainbow Dash could connect the dots in my mind. I wasn't disappointed as Rainbow Dash backed off and looked kind of apologetic, “Alright, but I've got my eye on you. Put one hoof out of line and I'll flatten you.” I resisted the urge to laugh maniacally that was rising for some reason and merely said, “If it comes to that. . . make sure your quick enough to stop me before I notice you. You won't succeed then.” It appeared as though Rainbow Dash took this as a personal challenge as we shook hooves on it. We slowly meandered back into the party.
The party slowly wound down (fun choice of words 'wound down') and everyone began going back to their respective houses The doctor was waiting by the door. “So. . . ,” the Doctor began, “I assume you've heard about the prophecy?” “Yeah,” I replied, slightly annoyed, “Don't tell me you think it's me that it's talking about?” He walked over to me to whisper the next part in my ear, “I don't think, I know.” He backed off and I stared at him, the sudden seriousness in his voice. He looked behind me and said, “I'll be waiting at the house. Key's under the mat, see you.” I turned to see where he was looking and saw Vinyl walking up to me with a rather sophisticated looking gray earth pony beside her. “Yo, Tyler,” Vinyl started, “How was your day of hanging around town?” I smiled and replied, “It was fine. I think I met some interesting ponies today. Much more interesting ponies than back home. Although that just might be the exotic travel talking.” I turned to the pony next to Vinyl, “And if I may be graced with your name miss. . .” The gray pony somewhat curtsied a bit and said, “Octavia, and you must be Tyler. Not as ill-mannered as I imagined when Vinyl was describing you.” I took the insult with a straight face and bowed my head, hopefully filling out courtesy. “Well now that introductions are out of the way think you can help me out,” Vinyl asked looking at the stage I could see that she had been able to pack most of her equipment and had been able to move most of it off. I nodded and walked over to the stage. I got a weird look from Vinyl and it forced me to ask, “I'm not helping with the stuff on the stage?” I seemed to tell a joke as Octavia started laughing and Vinyl covered her face with her hooves, probably trying to hide her own laughter. “No, I can get that, but I won't be able to carry all of that stuff to my house. I'll run out of energy,” she said calming down. I nodded somewhat stupidly, recalling that unicorns used up their stamina to use their magical abilities. I walked out and saw a cart there and hitched myself onto it while Vinyl loaded her equipment into the back. She tapped my shoulder and I turned to her. She nodded and we were off. We hadn't been walking far, (about 5 seconds), when Vinyl asked, “How do you know Dr. Whooves? You friends? He came here alone about a few months ago, he doesn't talk much unless it's to Derpy.” I thought about it for a moment and replied, “We were friends once, then we got into a fight over a girl. In the end it turned out she was only after us so we would fight. She broke up a good friendship and I always regretted fighting with him. I just hope that there is still a chance to make it up to him.” Octavia walked up on my other side and tried to comfort me, “That must have been hard. I hope he forgives you.” I shook my head, “It's not that. He will. He's always like that, always seeing the best in ponies, always giving every-pony a second chance. It's the fact that he will never ever forget it. He won't ever bring it up but he will always remember about how terribly I treated him.” I just then realized that he and I would have to make up a pony that we had 'fought' over and we reached Vinyl's house. I dropped off her stuff and said goodbye as we parted ways. I thought hard about a name but couldn't come up with one. I didn't realize it but I found myself in front of a familiar blue box. I hit my head against the door and sat down in surprise. The Doctor opened the door and looked at me. “What have you been thinking about,” the Doctor asked. I replied, “I told Vinyl and Octavia that we were old friends that got into a fight over a girl, and now I need to think of a name of a girl.” The Doctor thought about it for a moment and said, “Rose. Her name is Rose.” I looked at the Doctor and nodded, then asked, “Who's Rose? Was she an old friend?” The Doctor looked back into the TARDIS and sighed, “She was a friend and a good companion. Now she's gone.” I was about to ask him what he meant by 'gone' but after seeing him lost in thought I thought against it. I changed the subject, “So, where do I sleep?” The Doctor seemed to snap out of his thoughts for a moment as he replied, “Down that hall, last door on the right.” I nodded and went to the bedroom and fell into the bed almost instantly falling to sleep.

Book the Sixth a.k.a My Assistant
I awoke the next morning as light filtered through a window. I got out of bed and saw a mirror in the room and looked at it. I saw my black mane was strewn about like bed-head and just walked away from the mirror. I entered the main control room of the TARDIS as the Doctor was straightening his tie. I had to ask, “Why the tie? Do you think it's cool or something?” He turned to me and replied, “What's wrong with the tie, I like the tie. I always wear a tie. Better than that drab old thing your wearing.” I nodded in agreement and we exited the TARDIS. He locked it like a car and we entered Ponyville.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Things in Ponyville were, for once, normal which seemed to put the Doctor on edge. My curiosity got the better of me and forced me to ask, “Why so tense Doctor? The sky's clear,” and as if on cue some clouds started to move in. I looked at the clouds with a frown and continued, “It's not raining,” and again, as if on cue, a crash of thunder sounded in the distance. Frowning in the general direction the thunder and stopped talking. An explosion came from outside of the town and I screamed into the air, “OH COME ON! I DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING!” We turned towards the explosion and ran towards it.
We were halfway between the town and the large forest that I saw my first day here when we noticed a group of ponies behind us. The doctor looked at me with a smile on his face then turned to the growing group and pulled out a piece of paper and waved it at them, saying, “It would be best if you give me plenty of room. Tyler will provide assistance and when Ditzy finishes her mail run send her out, thanks,” as they backed off. He showed me the paper and it said “Canterlot Detective Agency Detective 'The Doctor'.” I smiled at him whispering, “Lucky you always carry around that psychic paper.” He looked at me and nodded as we continued off to the site of the explosion. When we reached the site of the explosion he asked, “How did you know about the psychic paper?” I replied, “I know all about you Doctor. Being a character that someone created in my universe.” He smiled as he responded with, “Ohhh. I see, do I look cool in his mind?” I nodded and he silently shouted, “Yes!” I sighed and thought, why must he be so easy to excite, and continued looking at the crater. I saw two sets of prints, one pony and one human. “Doctor, what exactly happened the night before you found me,” was the first thing out of my mouth. The Doctor smiled and replied, “Of course! The same exact thing happened that night. It was twice as strong though. I wonder why?” I thought for a second and realized something, “Doctor, can the TARDIS show events that happened at a certain part of time?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Back to the TARDIS! Quickly Doctor!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back at the TARDIS The Doctor still had no idea what I was thinking. “Pull up the screen and make it track my DNA or biometrics or whatever you need to track me. Time to find the truth.” He pressed a few buttons and the screen showed the place where I had awoken. The Doctor began the countdown, “5,4,3,2,1.” There was a flash and my suspicions where confirmed, that strange weather pattern was the sign that a human had just been transported to Equestria. The screen cut out and he started hitting it. He shrugged at me and shook his head, “Can't get anything else. Something must have been very powerful at that point near that place. By the way, THAT WAS BRILLIANT!” I nodded and pointed to the door of the blue box and we exited. Greeted almost immediately by Ditzy, who asked, “Hey, guys. What did you need me for?” The Doctor smiled and replied, “What kind of detective, or doctor for that matter, doesn't have an assistant? None, that's what kind.” I looked at both of them and said, “Doctor, you get her filled in on what happened. I'll start looking in the forest.” Ditzy cringed when I mentioned the forest, but I paid it no mind and took off for the forest.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I charged straight through the forest and hit a clearing after about a minute. Looking around at the ground I saw the human tracks where fresher and the pony tracks where older. I heard whimpering behind me and turned around and saw blond hair disappear behind a tree root. I walked over to her saying with a calming voice, “Don't worry, I won't hurt you. It's alright I'm helping the Doctor, he doesn't want you or anyone else hurt. Now come on, this way.” She slowly got out from behind the tree root and began moving towards me, a look of shock on her face. “How,” she stuttered, “H-h-h-how can you talking?” I looked at her with a smile and replied, “I can talk because I can, and I can do it much better than you apparently. Now come on, back to the police box.” And with that we were off.
We made it back to the police box with the last few rays of the sun shone down on Ponyville and we entered the police box. The Doctor and Ditzy were arguing over something. I cleared my throat and they stopped arguing and turned to look at me. The Doctor acknowledged my presence and turned back to argue with Ditzy while Ditzy seemed to be unable to turn away from the girl that I had rescued. The Doctor looked at Ditzy and back to the girl. “Ha, HA,” he laughed then he continued, “You've done it! Would you look at her. Pretty among girls most likely.” He pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver and pointed it at her. She sidestepped the screwdriver and looked at me for any kind of help. I looked at the Doctor and then back to her. I grinned sheepishly and shrugged, saying, “He has about 25% of knowing what he's doing, that's probably the closest to 100% he's ever going to be.” She nodded and stood looking worriedly at the Doctor as he pointed the screwdriver at her as the blue light appeared at the end of it. She turned almost instantly into a dark blue pegasus with indigo hair. A pair of violets appeared where the cutie mark would be. I smiled and held up my hoof at the Doctor who stopped, and approached the newly made pegasus. “Well, well, well,” I began, “Look who just turned up to make sure The Doctor and I don't get into another fight.” I turned back to the Doctor and finished, sweeping an 'arm' at, “Violet.” The Doctor smiled and stated, “That seems like a good idea. One little thing though. He walked up to the console of the TARDIS and pulled off another flip book with a blank piece of paper in it. “This is psychic paper, but you already know that, what you DON'T know is that the TARDIS only makes enough for me, like creating a Sonic Screwdriver if mine would ever break. Meaning that your supposed to have this, BUT your NOT supposed to have a screwdriver. Strange, huh,” he asked and I nodded. Being part Time-lord doesn't work out well, especially when you've been a human for most of your life (look up what happened to Donna). He continued, “I think you might need help so you'll need a companion, assistant, whatever you wish to call them. And I think when we have her airborne that Violet will be the perfect companion.” The dark blue pegasus stared at us and finally asked, “Who's Violet?” I smiled before stating, “Why you are. Look at yourself, but don't freak out,” I started rubbing the back of my head, “Or else.” She looked at the mirror that was in the control room and started breathing faster. I walked over to her and said, trying to calm her down, “It's not that bad, least you have wings. I've got nothing special. Your still you, nothing can change that.” She looked at me flabbergasted and finally stammered out, “How can you be so calm? This is something that has probably never happened before!” I nodded and stated, “I'm so calm because that man is the one man standing between these ponies and total destruction, if anyone can do it, he can. Not only that but this happened to me as well.” She calmed down after that and just looked from me to the Doctor, and finally asked, “Who is he.” I smiled and replied, “He's the Doctor. If you get on his bad side there is one thing you can do.” She stared at me for a second before I finished, “Run.” The Doctor groaned saying, “Your making me sound like some sort of fabled destroyer of worlds. I don't want that kind of reputation.” I looked and faked a sheepish smile, “But you are the most dangerous man in the universe. One that should never be made mad.” He shook his head and turned to Ditzy. “So Ditzy,” the Doctor started, “How soon can she be a fully fledged pegasus?” Ditzy waved at Violet and replied, “I can get her flying in a few weeks. She won't be a weather-pony anytime soon but she'll be able to fly.” The Doctor nodded saying to Violet, “We don't need another weather-pony in this town. We already have a few. I think they could always use help at the post office though.” Ditzy nodded, walked towards the door of the TARDIS and motioned for Violet to follow her which she did. The Doctor turned to me and asked, “Why was your impact so important? Was there any reason it was twice as strong?” I nodded and replied, “Yeah. There were actually two of us, my friend and I, that got transported here. The fact that the interference messed with your scanner has me worried about him.” He nodded and said, “Well, keep an eye out for him. Don't go looking for him until she's ready to help out.” I nodded and we both headed out of the TARDIS.
Book the Seventh a.k.a. True Guardians
The remaining week had gone by without much incident. Violet progressed in her flying lessons at an impressive rate. I passed the time by preforming odd jobs around town and soon got the nickname Jack. I thought it a good nickname and mostly hung out with Vinyl or, if spotted in town, Fluttershy. I learned to talk to the Doctor as if he were an old friend and even made up a fake name for him if asked. But promised that I would never say his name, real or fake, if I could avoid it.
The next week started on a good note, sun as far as the eye can see. Not a cloud in the sky, except for the home of pegasi, after all, everyone should have a house, and there was a light breeze coming from the direction of the forest. It unnerved some of the ponies but I found it enjoyable. The next two days were also without incident. However, Wednesday here some other day (If they have days.) for them, we had a problem, but they were able to resolve it on their own. It also seemed like there was another reason for the problem to occur. It seemed strange in nature, some random problem about something that one of the six ponies I had met at the party was involved in and it was worked out by her friends helping out, but also seemed a little sinister if someone was paying attention, and you can bet I wasn't the only one who noticed.
I was proven right when, the next day, a manticore attacked (A MANTICORE!). The Doctor and I rushed into town the moment we heard the screams of terror, and giggling from Pinky but that was normal, I told the Doctor, “Get every-pony out of here. I'll see if I can lead this thing back to where it came from,” I thought for a few more moments and sighed, “Where does it live?” The Doctor merely replied, “The forest,” and ran off to help everyone. I looked at the manticore again, it was twice my size, had a scorpion tail, body of a lion and wings of a bat. If the situation was different he would love to see what they ate, but decided against as it might be curious things like myself. It wasn't facing me and I had to get its attention so I did the stupidest I could imagine I bucked it(still plenty of ponies in the area, couldn't even try to transform) it turned to me as I put a bit of distance between me and it and calling over my shoulder, “Come on. Let's go silly manticore.” It started chasing me and was slowly gaining on me, but we were nearly at the forest when I noticed it so the effect of surprise was minimal.
I turned back to it and grabbed my cloak with my teeth waving it like a matador saying through clenched teeth, “Toro, Toro.” It charged at me and I sidestepped it like a normal sentient creature would do but swung the cloak in front of its eyes. It ran into a tree and I heard its skull and the tree trunk make a good connection. It looked back at me with surprise, like I had made the tree out of thin air. I looked at it and, doubting if it could understand me, asked, “Do you want to continue, or do you want to go home to your family and friends while you still remember them?” The choice seemed clear to the manticore as it backed away from me. “Good, now off with you,” and with that I started back towards town placing my cloak where it belonged. Halfway back to town I shot a glance back and the manticore started to return to the forest. I smiled contently my eyes closed when something landed hit me from my right side. I opened my eyes to find myself on my back and Rainbow Dash standing over me. “Can . . . can I help you Rainbow,” I asked nervously. She looked like she had seen the most amazing thing ever. “How did you do that, that manticore was strong enough that Big Macintosh couldn't hurt it.” I smiled saying, “Ahhh, you wish to learn of strategy do you? Well, can't really help you there. I was just running. But, I can give you a word of advice. When things are angry, they make mistakes. Capitalize on those mistakes and you can beat something that far outclasses you.”
“That's good advice, pony. Too bad it won't do you any good against me.”
Rainbow jumped off of me and turned around and I rolled myself onto my feet in almost the same space of time. There was the scariest looking woman I had ever seen standing there. I began to back away slowly as Rainbow started to advance. Seeing this I leapt next to her. “Another word of advice. Some things are too smart to fall for the 'taunt until angry' trick. When those times come, run ,” I emphasized the last word hoping she would get the message and she did as she took off back to the town. The woman snickered, “That was noble of you, pony. But now I know where there is an abundant source of horse power for my lady.” I nodded, and spoke, “That would be true if I were a normal pony, but I'm not. But before we do this, who do you work for? Why does she need the ponies of this town? Why pony power when magic is much more efficient?” She laughed at me, saying, “Not a normal pony? Not a normal pony?! You are one of the most unremarkable races on this planet, the only thing your race is good at is an almost superhuman amount of power you can generate before tiring. Now just surrender like a good stallion and don't do anything stupid.” I sighed mumbling, “I warned you,” and transformed. She looked shocked for a moment before drawing twin daggers, saying, “So that's what you meant by not a normal pony. HA, still worthless though. My lady is waiting for me to bring her any ponies that I can take back to her. You won't stop me,” and with that she leapt at me. I jumped back from her and drew my katana. It still looked generally the same but I noticed some small changes. I also noticed small changes to my attire but decided to put off looking at the changes until after the battle. I looked at her with, pity and sadness, pointed my katana at her and said, “Alright, then, I declare you to be a maverick. As guardian I hereby declare you an enemy. No regrets.” She laughed and leapt at me again, this time I side stepped her and brought my sword down on one of her hands. She screamed out and rolled away from me. I merely watched her intently. She got up and practically shouted, “Who's the maverick? The one that threatens the balance of chaos and harmony or one that would willingly destroy his entire race to maintain it.” I sighed and saw where she was heading with her logic. “Alright,” I answered her, “I would be considered the maverick in this case. But, I'll always be a maverick then, and the title of maverick doesn't suit someone guarding an area now does it?” I charged her as she snarled and threw her dagger at me. It cut into my left shoulder and I could feel pain there again. I ignored it and slashed at the woman. She collapsed and began to flame like the man before her did as I sheathed my blade. She began to laugh as she stood up, she started talking, “You can't defeat her. She'll destroy you before you even have a chance to feel her glorious presence.” She reached into a pocket and pulled out a small black device and tossed it at me. I caught it and looked at it. She continued, “See your destruction and the future of Equestria. Long live the true ruler of the night, and all of Equestria.” I looked at her and drew my blade. “Allow me,” I started, “to end your delusions.” I made a final strike and she finally disappeared. The small device began beeping and I dropped it on the ground. “Hey Ty!” I looked around for where the voice was coming from and saw a familiar violet-haired pegasus in the sky. She landed and transformed into her human form. She appeared more of a knight than I did but that didn't matter to me. Her weapon was a halberd , one of the few weapons I had come to fear after playing the life out of Dynasty Warriors. I took an involuntary step back and immediately realized what I had done. “Sorry V. Reaction to that specific weapon.” She nodded and gave me a sweet smile.
I turned back to the beeping device on the ground as it started flashing. I looked it over and noticed it was an advanced transmission device, a small black sphere with a small camera built in with flashing red lights around it. It began floating and I took a step back. The air around it simmered and a pony wearing a full red cloak stood. I cheerfully waved and said, “Hello, I'd like to speak to your boss, on account of someone who won't be able to report back in.” The hologram fizzled out and a creature as tall as I was, (Six foot two, can you believe that?), in an absolute black cloak appeared in front of me. “Hello,” I greeted, sounding more confident then I felt, “I assume that your this true ruler of the night.” The hood fell back and I noticed the unicorn horn on her head (I assumed it was a her, a majority of the residents here were girls). She scowled at me and replied, “You. Will you always be a nuisance to me, even after I gave you power?” I gave her a sideways look. Gave me power, what exactly does she mean? That is very, extremely not good. “So,” I continued, “The true ruler of the night are you? Looks like someone's going to be a nightmare by the time this fight is done, because I won't be the only one fighting you. I'll rescue other people from your agents. How fast can you run, because today's the day I kick you off the planet.” With that I sliced through the device but the blade was deflected off center by something in the interior of the device. I picked up the two pieces of the device and looked at the inside, a diamond, I pulled it out and looked at it, one flaw, a mark inside that looked like a lightning bolt. I smiled when I held it up to the light, because I remembered where I saw the flaw before. I looked over to the town and noticed the small group of ponies including the pony I needed to see, Twilight Sparkle. “V, get back to the blue box, I'll catch up as soon as I can, and whatever you do don't come back for me, you need to trust me,” I ordered. She looked at me with almost a confused look but followed my instructions. I sat as the six ponies and one dragon approached me.
Book the Eighth a.k.a. Answers
“Who are you,” was the immediate question that shot from Rainbow Dash, quite predictably. I refused to answer her but kept staring at Twilight, and it was creeping her out. Finally Rainbow Dash got in my face and repeated her question.
“I could tell you but what are the chances you would believe me,” I began, “Also, it's impolite to yell at someone who just saved your life.”
She backed up at this and muttered disbelievingly, “Tyler? Is that you?”
I smiled at her and said, “Congrats, you have taken your first steps into the multiverse. I am not a normal pony, and I know what you must be thinking, 'How can he be Tyler? Tyler would run from a fight he couldn't win.' Don't know why your thinking the second, but you are. Well, you'd normally be right; however, with me not being a pony originally I don't really have to follow your rules or logic, just like you don't have to follow mine. I come from another plane of existence one that you have probably seen out of the corner of your eye, but don't remember because brains aren't made to remember things out of the corner of your eyes. The moment you look away from me, you might forget me so to ensure that you won't forget me. Twilight you will write a letter to your princess saying that you would like to visit her at her castle and you will bring your friends, Tyler, and Doctor Whooves. Now look at this gem Rainbow Dash, but don't look away from me, does that mark look familiar.”
She stared at the diamond, as did the other ponies and the dragon. “Yeah. That looks like my cutie mark.” I nodded at this obvious statement.
“Of course,” I said, words almost dripping with sarcasm and lightly hitting the back of my head, “Why didn't I think of that? Oh, wait, I did. I meant what stone is this and what does it mean?”
She looked at me like I was stupid, finally answering, “It's a diamond and the mark means loyal.” I nodded and looked around at the others. “Look like a diamond to you girls as well,” I asked with a smile on my faces. They nodded and I muttered into my hand, “Great, that was completely and utterly pointless.” I turned away from them and started running towards the forest. They started yelling after me, but I ducked behind a tree and they quickly stopped, almost like I was never there. I looked at the diamond again, smiled and muttered, “That on the other hand, was very, very, helpful.” With that I switched back to my pony state and went back to the TARDIS. Along the way I was stopped by Twilight saying she was going to visit the princess and if I wanted to go with them, seeing how I had saved them or some other weak excuse. I pretended to consider it and reluctantly agreed.
A few days passed as the Doctor and I managed to get everything prepared for our visit to royalty. He had asked why he was visiting the castle to which I had replied truthfully, which earned me a couple of scans with the Sonic Screwdriver to confirm that while I looked like a human, I was memory-proof. The doctor muttered something about that being impossible, but started getting ready. We met the others at the train station and we finally began our journey to the capital.
*1 boring train-ride later and a quick jaunt around Canterlot*
“Wow! No matter what I see this place is always going to be huge,” I exclaimed in awe, and as an addendum muttered, “Especially for a bunch of ponies.” Only the Doctor heard me mutter and he gave me a slight glare. I smiled back at him sheepishly as the big ornate doors opened as we were greeted by Princess Celestia. We knelt in front of her to show our respect, and the visit began. I managed to keep from being asked questions by hiding behind the others, until I saw a statue. I just kept staring at it, a pegasus. “Are you alright,” A voice asked, probably Celestia's. I nodded and hurried back to the group, taking one look back at the statue. It was probably my imagination but it looked like it moved a bit. I shook my head and fell back into the group, and kept my eyes peeled for a way to explore the castle at my own pace. It soon showed itself and I took it.
I soon found myself looking around a long hallway, stained glass lining the walls showing the history of the Elements of Harmony. Showing from nightmare moon being sealed to Discord being resealed. I felt another presence as I looked and studied each of the windows. I turned quickly lowering my self to the floor, ready to spring, when a black (Well, dark navy blue) alicorn, her mane flowing looking like the sky at night. I quickly brought myself to a normal stance looking down at the ground. The alicorn smiled slightly as she asked, “What ist thou doing, slinking about like a thief?” I scuffed my hoof (I DID IT!) and muttered some curses under my breath before I answered, “I was looking for the princess of the night, I have a few questions for her.”
After I had spoken that I immediately apolgized to her and began running to try and find the group but the door magically closed. I chided myself for thinking that I could run and turned back to the alicorn, her horn glowing a blueish-purple. I looked at her for a few seconds before my brain made a connection. “You wouldn't happen to be the pony I was looking for, would you,” I asked sheepishly. “Indeed I am the princess of the night, Princess Luna. What dost thou wish to ask,” came the reply, her voice increasing in volume slightly.
I was becoming increasingly unnerved as her voice raised and it showed as my voice trembled as I replied, “I, a humble servant, have come asking a question,” I swallowed a lump in my throat and continued, “I would like to know about a unicorn with fur like yours and a kind of helmet. You wouldn't happen to know somepony like that, would you?” I saw her eyes shrink in what I would assume as fear as she began muttering, “No this cannot be. The elements destroyed her, what is she doing back, how is she back.” She shook her head, “You're lying, she cannot be back. I would feel it.” I sighed realizing that it would be almost impossible to convince her by arguing with her. I sighed and looked into her eyes, seeing fear in the depths.
I merely asked, “Why would I lie? I have no reason to lie, I don't even belong here, in more ways than one.” The last part was muttered but I think she understood what I implied as she backed away from me.
“What are you, speak truthfully, or else,” I could sense her fear as it mixed with anger, while she raised her speaking volume, I could feel the volume actually flatten my mane, which had been spiked before, and I became unnerved almost immediately.
I shrunk as I answered, “I. . . I'm from a far away place, and I defeated one of her minions. I managed to trick her into saying what she wanted, and it was, well. . . let's just say that it's going to be very bad if she succeeds.” She looked at me suspiciously, and I looked towards the door again. She nodded slowly and opened the door slowly. “If what thou say is true,” she began, “My sister and I, as well as the elements shall endeavor to defeat Nightmare Moon.” I nodded slowly and started trudging toward the door when I heard a far away crash of thunder. “Oh no,” I muttered and quickly started off to find the others.
I found the Doctor surrounded by guards as I approached and the air had a strange taste to it. I slowed down as I heard another pair of hooves behind me. A quick glance showed it was Luna. I quickly pointed to the Doctor and demanded, a tad more forceful then I had intended, “You need to let him go.” She glanced at me, obviously unsure. I shook my head as I crouched and jumped at the group of guards when I saw a night-sky blue aura around me as I was set down next to Luna. I looked around and saw it was Luna's magic which had stopped me from possibly signing a lifetime trip to the dungeon. She nodded slowly and walked up to the guards ordering them, her voice forceful, “RELEASE THAT PONY AT ONCE!” The guards seemed confused as a blue and white sphere appeared, and quickly dissipated revealing the princess, the other six ponies that I had gone with, and another Luna. When the second Luna appeared I stepped between the group and the Luna that I had been with. “This is not a good sign,” I stated as I prepared to try anything to stop a battle from breaking out.
The six ponies stared at the two night princesses, even the white alicorn seemed unsure. I kept glaring at the princess that had appeared. Things had just gone from bad to worse, first the nightmare copy of Luna, now a fake Luna. After a brief moment of silence after my last words I asked the princess next to Celestia, “Who are you, and why are you here?” She stared at me like I was a crazy pony.
“I am Princess Luna, the one you are with is an imposter. If you intend to defend her we shall destroy you posthaste,” The newer Luna replied, staring daggers at me. I felt uneasy about what might happen if a fight broke out between the two navy-blue alicorns. I finally came up with an insane plan. “Ms. Sparkle,” I began, “I require that everypony heads towards the elements, no exceptions, that includes that pony right there.” I nodded over to The Doctor, and began walking over to him, looking at a couple of the guards that had surrounded the doctor and they moved aside. I nodded at him and said, “Well, let's go doctor.” He looked at me oddly, but started out after me. I looked back at every-pony else and sighed, “That every-pony includes you and your friends as well as the two, well three, princesses and one person that you can trust with you deepest and darkest secret. Know anyone like that?” They nodded and Twilight ran off, the others began following us.
In one of the many hallways we were walking through The Doctor whispered a question to me, “Do you have a plan? Because I don't.”
I nodded to The Doctor and whispered back, “Yeah,” I hesitated before the next part of my response, “for the most part.” He shot me an incredulous look, and quickly focused back on the problem at hand.
We reached the vault with the elements as Twilight with a white stallion with a guard uniform, who all of Twilight's friends greeted with respect. I merely nodded at him and turned back to the door. “Now then, any-pony have a key.” Celestia walked up to the door and opened it. While the process was happening I walked over to the stallion and asked, “So, who are you?”
“My name,” he began, “Is Shining Armor, captain of the royal guard and Twilight's brother, so don't try anything to her or her friends, as well as the princesses.” I nodded when he finished and turned to the now open door.
“Alright, now will the elements please grab their respective piece of jewelry and prepare to activate them.” Every-pony glanced at me like I was insane. I glimpsed each of their faces and they were clearly expecting me to continue. I sighed and did indeed continue, “I want to be blasted by the elements so that we can find out what happens when a soul of harmony is hit with it. Shining Armor, your here because if, in the off chance I go insane and try to attack them, I need you to stop me. If I altogether just disappear from existence, well, then the next step is relatively easy. Figure out which of the moon princesses is the real on, and get the fake out of here.” A smile appeared on my face as I finished, “See? Easy.” Every-pony's face fell when they saw me being so cheerful about what was apparently my certain doom. Some of the six refused to move over to the elements and Celestia even began closing the door. I stomped my hoof almost immediately as the doors began to close speaking sternly to Celestia, as if I was teaching a child a hard lesson in life, “You have a duty to the ponies of Equestria. The needs of the one will never outweigh the needs of the many. Allow me to chose my own way of my demise, or else I will have nothing to live for.” Some of the others probably gave me an angry glare, but I paid them no mind as Celestia gaze dropped to the ground. She re-opened the doors and the six, Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy giving me apologetic looks, Rainbow Dash and Applejack giving me a mixed look of anger and pity, and Pinkie Pie had a frown on her face that nearly made me lose my resolve. I shook my head and banished the traitorous feeling from my thoughts and stood in the middle of the room.
The door burst open the moment that the blast hit me and I felt strange, almost lightheaded. Looking at myself my cloak had dispersed(strange huh?) and in it's place where two dull red wings. I felt all the knowledge of flight and calculated in an instant how to get out of every-pony's sight in a fraction of a second(It helped that they were blinded by the effect of the elements). Right out side the door I just laid down and listened to some of the whimpers and cries of sadness. It hurt to hear them cry, but I heard what I had needed, a small chuckle. I could barely hear it over the other sounds, and another feeling had cropped up when I had focused, dread. It took a few seconds to pinpoint the source when I realized, I was sensing magic, and two objects in the room where giving off a similar pulse and frequency. “Alright, we have to do what he failed,” that would be Shining Armor, “Ace separate the princesses.” I stood up when I put two and two together. I stepped around the corner and I heard a collective gasp. Slowly I heard laughter from the Doctor. I flapped my wings, still getting used to the feeling. “That's new, need to get used to that,” I said oblivious to the shocked faces of every-pony else. Finally I glanced over at the shocked faces and addressed them, “Hello all of you. Didn't think you'd see me again did you? Well, that wasn't enough to kill me apparently, so after this frightening ordeal is over I'm going to try and do something much less nerve-racking, like jump off a cloud without opening my wings,” the wings disappeared and where replaced with my cloak, “Well, that was short lived.” Soon some of the others joined the Doctor in his laughing, more out of relief than anything. While the two Lunas looked worried. As the laughter died down one asked, “Can you tell them that she is the fake, so that we may get back to important business?” I shook my head and every-pony looked confused. I began to elaborate, “You saw when I had the wings? Yeah, that put me really in tune with magic in general and I made an important discovery. We have more than one fake on our hands. Two of you are fake. But, first let me pose a question Doctor, what does a changling feed off of? Cause if I remember the problem caused before. . .”
Twilight answered, “They take the place of a pony and feed off of the love that is shown to that pony. . . OH!” I nodded as she made the realization and her horn began to glow. I turned to Shining Armor saying, “Get ready to do your job. And I'll give you the order, but you must promise me that you will not do anything until I give you that signal. Do you understand?” He nodded and I heard Twilight's spell activate. Looking back at the group I saw Chrysalis lying one the ground groggy while Luna lie right on the other side of the carpet. I looked between both of them and began muttering, “If it wasn't her who else could it be?” I turned back to look at the seven creatures on the raised platform. They were all glaring at me while the Doctor looked at Luna with slight confusion. I shook my head and turned towards the door. I could feel every-pony's eyes on me as I began to walk towards the door. I called back to them, “Nobody move, except for John, you're coming with me.” With that I walked out the doors and turned the corner and leaned against the wall a good foot away from the door. I gave him about a good minute, turned back into the room and walked in. I stared at him and said to Twilight and Shining Armor, “Other fake, right in front of me. Blast him.” I turned back towards the door and as an addition turned to the golden pegasus that had gone into the room when I had hidden and said to him, “Come on Ace, we've got work to do.” He nodded and when we exited the room I heard The Doctor yelp in suprise as he was exposed for being a changeling and was repelled from Canterlot as the barrier expanded and surrounded Canterlot.
Book the Tenth a.k.a. Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Whimey and The Knight
Ace and I had finally discovered the caverns after wasting what was left of the afternoon and getting into the night trying to find it. Ace shook his head, “How did it take you this long to find this place? You said you knew where everything is.”
I gave him a funny look, and smiled, saying, “The first thing you need to know is that I am not that pony, not yet. Second, please refrain from telling me any more.”
We began into the caverns and after a few hours of searching found the Doctor and we began up. I turned to the Doctor and said, “Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Whimey stuff is happening, Doctor. Meet Ace. I'm going to meet him later, and by later I mean earlier. You know how it goes.” The Doctor Chuckled and we finally exited the caverns. Ace turned to us with a look of disbelief, saying, “Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Whimey stuff? What do you mean by that? You need to start making sense. I couldn't understand you when I was a foal.” He stepped in front of us and we stopped. He looked at us and continued, “I thought I would be able to understand you when I got older, but I still can't. Start explaining or else I'll tell them that you're a changeling. So start talking.”
I sighed as I began to answer him, “The first thing you need to know about me is that I never tell any-pony anything, or everything. But if I did, I would tell you that you shouldn't worry about the timey-whimey stuff unless you want to join us. We're recruiting outstanding ponies to help us out with problems that threaten the whole of Equestria. If you want to join you need to know something. You'll see things that you could never believe in a hundred thousand years, you'll also see ghosts of the past and the day Equestria burns in a ball of fire. . . assuming, of course, your sun works like the one I imagine it does. Never mind that, just a bit of dark thinking, back to what I saying, let's see. You said I met you in the past, so lets imagine for a second that time is like a line.” I drug my hoof through the ground and made a line. “Ok, now,” I drew an X through two points in the line, “The X on the far end of the line represents when we 'first meet', and the second line also indicates where we 'first meet'. This is mine and your personal time-lines crossing and melding together. And,” I carved a perpendicular line through the middle of the time-line, “Here is where we are now. Any questions?” He looked at me after a minute contemplating this and only had one question.
“If both X's represent our first meeting, why is one further along the time-line than the other?”
The Doctor chimed in finally, “You see, time is a funny thing. It hardly ever goes in order to people who really pay attention to it. You remember Leonardo? Famous inventor, artist, philosopher, to name a few of his advancements. His idea's seemed to be lifetimes ahead of every other advancement in the time period, right?” Ace nodded as The Doctor took a breath, “That's because they were lifetimes ahead because, well lets just say that he had some help for inspiration.”
Ace gave him a sideways look. But as he made connections he started to stare intently at The Doctor. Before he began to ask any questions I chimed in, “That's not getting answered until you give us an answer. Now, it won't be quiet, it won't be calm, and it won't be safe. What it will be is a role of a lifetime, Guardian of all Equestria. What do you say Ace. Join, or not, it won't matter to us. The difference between the two positions, Royal Guard of Canterlot and Guardian of Equestria, is the amount of time your going to spend with 2 mad ponies, and your looking at the two.” He stared at us after I had finished and thought about it. Before we entered the main gate Ace gave us his answer. “No, sorry you two. I feel like I'm needed here. Your needed elsewhere. Have fun, with your adventure, but I don't think I can put up with you two.” We nodded as he declined the offer. That was the reaction I had expected and was no real loss to me. But imagine it, a companion named Ace, it would be awesome. We were about to open the door to go back when I turned to The Doctor saying, “I feel like I've forgotten something, something that was important, but whatever it was it couldn't have been that important, if I forgot it, right?” The Doctor nodded and we entered the castle with Ace. We made it back to the throne room, and what we saw in there made my heart stop. A knight, in full armor,was kneeling in front of the celestial sisters. I caught the tail end of a vow of loyalty. He turned to us and put a hand on his sword. “Identify yourselves,” he ordered, “or face your destruction.” I merely turned, walked out the door, grabbed the nearest guard and made a request. The guard brought me the desired items and I walked back into the room.
“Miss Sparkle, I have to ask you for a favor,” I began placing a quill, parchment, and an ink well on the ground in front of her, “Please right down everything that is said in this room.” The knight began walking towards us and I held up a hoof, saying, “Hold up there Rusty, this is the lead pegasus guard, Ace, and I am Tyler, and this stallion is with us.” He stopped shortly as he accepted this explanation and turned to a more pressing matter, “You do not seemed too surprised to see a person. I am, as far as I know, the only human to exist here.” I nodded and answered the unspoken question, “No, I'm not going to tell you why I'm not surprised to see a human here. Besides, I know some-pony who would be quite excited to meet you. You're in history only no one can remember the influence, unless they pay very close attention. A sudden shift in policy during the dark ages from military power, to the arts. Why? No pony can say, for obvious reasons. If I were a betting stallion, which I'm not, but in the off chance I was, I would say that a human with a huge heart made a plea to the Empress and that was enough to stop meaning bloodshed. Now how can no one remember that day? Simple, because when you take your eyes off a human you forget they ever existed. But with all rules there are exception, this one being that if you believe that humans exist in the deepest part of your heart, you'll be remembered. And I know of at least one pony like that, one Miss Lyra Hearthstrings. A few more come to mind, but they are going to be a surprise.” I sat down and closed my eyes while explaining it to him, a smile on my face. I could imagine the stunned faces of the six mares in the room as well as Ace's. I opened my eyes and saw the stunned faces I excepted to see and one that I had not, The Doctor's. I was slightly puzzled by his confusion but didn't show it, projecting confidence you know. When I had finished what felt like a speech for me, my heart was pounding in my chest, I had only the faintest idea what I was talking about and if anything called me out on it, well that would be bad.
Luckily no one did call me out on the obvious bluff and we continued the conversation finding The Knight, a man who threw away his name after he failed to protect someone, I wasn't really paying attention, from the date of October 24, 1356 after he had found a strange stone, one with a set of three diamonds in it. I nodded as he continued his tale, not really caring after that point. After getting his entire life's story up to the point where he had been miraculously transported to a land with magical talking technicolor ponies, Luna turned to me. “You had said,” she spoke like any other thing here, and I could hear the fear in her voice, “that there was something about Nightmare Moon, attacking the ponies in Equestria. Would you care to explain, for every-pony else's sake.” At this every eye in the room turned to me, and I could feel the pressure. I swallowed a lump that had formed in my throat and I began. “Right, umm, I'm came from Trottingham,” there was a scoff there but I ignored it and continued, “after hearing that some ponies had gone missing. I set up a little trap for it and it worked much to my surprise. A unicorn had come along and tried to abduct the pony that I had used for bait and I confronted him. He dropped the pony and ran away but he didn't get far. I caught him in a net I had set up before hoof, and the mayor questioned her, and, well, I guess you know as much as I do now.” There was a collective gasp in the room which I ignored and was pondering two things. One, Nightmare Moon was pony-napping ponies for some reason, why? The second being that, Nightmare Moon was really her name. I mean yeah it was on the show, but I thought that was for simplicities sake. Now what was going to be the next move?
Book the Eleventh AKA Mission Time!
Plans were quickly made and we quickly returned to Ponyville. On the way back Twilight and the others reread the transcript of what went on in the throne room. The Knight, thus named by The Doctor and agreed upon by the others, would patrol as much of Equestria as possible and, in the off chance he found other humans, he would try and get them to join him in defending Earth (fancy that, and here I was expecting something pony-related). I had prepared a mental note for Violet when Luna had somewhat surprised me by offering me a position as an adviser. I refused, surprise creeping into my voice. The others glared at me after that, Dash probably made a snide comment about me. I ignored it because Celestia seemed to understand, and we had headed back soon after that. The only ones that didn't look at me in disgust were Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, who I swear doesn't have a mean bone in her body. They looked at me somewhat apologetic for their friends.
We arrived at the train station and they said their goodbyes to each other, getting a little nod from both Pinkie and Fluttershy as they headed of. Fluttershy and Rainbow went off together, Pinkie, Rarity, and Applejack went off in their respective homes, and Twilight went off by herself towards her home. The Doctor began walking back to the Police Box, and I began after him. After a few steps I turned around and said to The Doctor, “Leave the door unlocked will you? Thanks.” And with that I turned and galloped after Twilight. The Doctor gave a small acknowledgment and continued on his way.
Twilight turned to see who who was following her, and upon seeing who was following her, turned back in the direction she was walking and continued. I was slightly annoyed at her treatment of me, but I understood her reasoning, I had just refused a request from Luna, a princess. The annoying part was that she wasn't even going to listen to my reasons, or reason, in this case, as in one. “Oh come on Twilight, at least listen to what I have to say,” I whined. Great now I whine. She looked back and I could see the slight anger behind her eyes. I cringed a bit but stood firm. “Fine,” she replied, “If only to get you to stop following me.” I sighed at my success and began my explanation. “An old friend of mine said once that power corrupts. I just don't want anything about me to change. You must know what it's like to change.” She turned fully around and started walking back towards me. “What makes you think that I have changed. Maybe I've always been like this, huh? You just can't say things like that and just expect everything to turn out all-right. Luna asked for your help and you give a stupid reason like that? And to think you saved the town. Was there another motive for that as well? What about meeting us? What about meeting your old friend? Was that all planed?”
I sighed at the barrage of questions. It was going to be a long night. “Yes, that's the only reason I turned Luna's request down was that stupid reason. And I happen to know more about you than you know, from the short time I've known you. Discord isn't the only tricky one. You know full well what I said in the throne room was a lie. Why didn't you tell your friends? Did you just want your precious notes to be worth the writing you did? Your friends might not have noticed the memory spell but I did. No I didn't plan on meeting any of you, why because you are the most infuriating group I have ever had the misfortune to meet. The only ponies tolerable in your little save the world group are Pinkie and Fluttershy. You rely on books too much, Rainbow is too much of a braggert, AppleJack is too much of a “hoofs on” kind of girl, and Rarity, while her heart is in the right place, is too fashion oriented. I liked meeting my old friend here and,” I felt a sharp pain in my head, “Ahhhh. Stop it Twilight this isn't helping your case!” I managed to open my eyes against the pain and saw Twilight rush over to me with a concerned look, and that leaked into her voice, “Are you alright? Can I do anything?”
“Fine, I'm . . . fine,” I gritted through the pain putting a fake smile on. Another flash of pain and I felt cold.
I definitely passed out because I woke up in the hospital. Ditzy, The Doctor, and Violet were there as well as Fluttershy, which really kinda freaked me out to tell the truth. They were surprised when I awoke. Kinda the jump up out of bed in shock. I was partially glad that I hadn't shifted into my human form while unconscious. After the initial shock of discovering I was unconscious I thought back to what happened to me. Twilight hadn't done anything to me, but I felt a strong mark on my brain from whatever had caused my pain. After some initial tests from the doctors to determine that I was in my right mind, I exited the hospital still feeling a little weak. Thankfully, Violet was able to assist me. We talked a bit and the others told me that Pinkie would probably throw another party for me, which I then asked Fluttershy if she told Pinkie what I had said to her during the first party. She looked away and I heard a small noise that had confirmed what I had thought. We parted ways after agreeing not to tell Pinkie until the next day. We began the walk back to the TARDIS as we talked, about what I missed while I was asleep.
We entered the control room and The Doctor preformed a scan with both the Sonic Screwdriver and the TARDIS internal sensor array. Neither scan showed anything but I began to think. Something was different, that was obvious. But what it was I was beginning to find out. Some thing was different, a memory, something that wasn't there before. The memory was of a sky blue unicorn filly talking to me. The memory hadn't implanted itself into my head, probably because I was a human, but it was in my mind. I voiced my concern to The Doctor. “Well, I'm not a unicorn. I recommend we get one's help with this one,” was the reply, which figured. The one pony I was not looking forward to seeing and we had to see her. I sighed and nodded and moved to the door. Thankfully, my strength had returned by now. I looked back at The Doctor, and with a sigh said, “See ya.” With that I left the TARDIS. Not knowing what the future had in store for me.
I was outside the tree that served as both Twilight's home and the library, and with a deep breath, knocked on the door. I counted myself lucky when Spike opened the door. “Uh, hey Spike,” I started, “could I look at a book. And all this without alerting Twilight?” He stared at me like I was insane. I chuckled nervously, “I'm just kidding about the whole not alerting Twilight, I am probably going to need her.” He looked at me slightly less like I was insane. He nodded though and let me in. “What book do you need,” Spike asked. A fair question, and I answered, “A book about memory spells.” He stopped and looked at me like I spoke in another language, “What,” was all he was able to ask. I looked at him understandingly. “You heard right, I want to read up on the subject of memory spells.”
“Spike, who's here? YOU,” I was slightly startled to have been shouted at. I looked up and smiled sheepishly at her and waved. She walked down the stairs and stood in front of me. I scuffed my hoof on the floor and said, “I guess I should thank you for taking me to the hospital.” She blushed and said, “No problem.” A confused look crossed her face, “What do you need? I don't think you would go out of your way for just a thank you.” I smiled at that and said, “Your starting to get me. I need your help, I believe that someone added some memories to me. I know this because they were inserted but failed to connect.” Ok so I lied, I thought it would work, and work it did. “Alright. Who is the pony your remembering?” (Twilight, in case it wasn't obvious) I thought back to the only memory I had for her, and I began, “A mare, sky blue, The other parts are somewhat of a blur. And she had a fancy cape and hat lined with stars.”
Twilight immediately looked at me and said, “That would be Trixie. She's a performer. She stayed in the town a night a while ago. She made some pretty big boasts. And then a Ursa Minor attacked the town. I stopped it and she left town.” I nodded and thought for a moment. “Twilight,” I began, “do you think that you could find out where she's at.” She looked at me slightly worried, “Why would you want to help her?” She gave me a look that told me all I needed. My argument from the last heated argument. I nodded and said, “She might be in trouble, and I believe that it's my duty to help any-pony in need, regardless of what I think.” She nodded and focused and map flew from one of the shelves and landed on the table. Soon a pink blot showed up around a small city called trottingham. I nodded and stated, “Thanks Twilight, I'm going to borrow the map. If I'm wrong, and I hope I am, I will assist you in anything you might need an extra set of hooves for.” Twilight gave me a look that was a mix of amusment and concern and asked, “And if your right?” I thought for a moment, and finally declared, “If I'm right, we forget the whole conversation a few nights ago.” She thought for a moment and finally nodded. We shook hooves and I managed to buy some supplies off of her. And with that I set of for my next destination.
Book the Twelfth AKA Now what?
Trottingham. Town of beginnings. Town of traditions. Town of . . . God it's boring here. I kinda half expected an attack. But it's good that there wasn't one. My first thoughts when I saw the town. My second thought brought the map out and upon close inspection I had confirmed that I was in the right place. I had joined a another pony that I found on my way to the town. Lily her name was, weirdly human name. Anyway I had succeeded in scoring a place to stay while searching for 'my friend'. I asked around town and found out almost nothing. Only one pony seemed to know about Trixie and he was half-baked. Heh heh heh. Anyways, he wasn't telling the truth, or she had been moved. I sighed in disappointment, and went to Lily's house. (She was really house-sitting for a friend that took a trip to Manehatten. No real surprise to show there.) Trixie was at an unknown local and it was bugging me.
Lily was a nice girl, for someone I had just met and heard about me from someone. “So, you help out everypony around ponyville, right?” I was not totally lost when this question was asked and answered promptly. “Yeah, I do.” She continued her questions, “Why.” “I just feel like it is all. I don't feel comfortable if there is something to be done,” I answered. She asked another question, “So why do you have that marked map?” I almost choked on my drink. “I'm looking for a friend, and I had no idea where she was at, so I asked for help.” She smiled a little and asked another question, “Is she your marefriend?” This time I had to do a spit-take. “WH-WH-WHAT?” I felt I had to ask. She kind of smiled and said, “You heard me.” I shook my head and sighed. “N-no, she isn't. I just haven't seen her in a while. I'm kinda worried about her.” My shock was apparent in my voice. “Are, are you hitting on me?” I was nervous, with good reason, I hardly knew this mare and half of the questions asked were directly related to my personal life. She laughed at this and answered, “No, no, just wondering.” I glanced at her and finally put something together in my mind. “How did you know about the map?” She looked confused and said, “What marked map?”
After all that confusion was over with. I went to bed. Something disturbed me in my dream. A man wanted to tell my fortune. I opened my mouth to decline, but for some reason I found myself sitting across from him and he drew three cards. He shuffled them around for a bit and asked me to pick the three in any order. I picked and he moved the cards into the position indicated by my choosing. He flipped the first, and I saw what kind of cards they finally were, tarot cards. The card he had flipped, the fool. He moved over to the next card and flipped the tower. When I saw this card I immediately began to worry, for the tower meant great disaster. “Well, isn't that interesting. A major event is about to occur.” The man looked up at me and from behind his smiling mask came a small chuckle. Before I could respond he held up his hand and continued, “You will not be the only one effected by this event, you will also find others that share this intertwined event.” He flipped the last card, the magician. “Like the one you search for now. Now go forth and remember that you soon draw near to the crossroads of your destiny.”
I shot out of sleep and was surprised to see myself in a tree in my human form. I took another look at myself and realized that more shards of armor covered the duds I got when I entered the world and my weapon changed again. This time I stopped to take note of its change, the handle had grown and the blade was beginning to straighten. I move its position to on my back and continued off in the direction I was facing (I had been going that way for a reason). After about five minutes of swinging through trees I had debated to return back, but before I could make up my mind I noticed (I swear to god against all improbability) a small amount of light coming from a crack in the ground. Examining it closer I found out that it was the entrance to an underground passage.
I found a door leading into what seemed to be a few monitors showing multiple rooms and in on, it showed a room of a few people with black cloaks surrounding something. Getting a closer look at the monitor he saw the pony from the false memory. Running out the door I continued down the hall and found myself ending at a door. Opening the door I found myself in the room I had seen in the monitor. I smiled as the figures turned towards me, and seemed to put two and two together. I saw one's hand go to its waist and pull a sword out and charged me. Sidestepping the charge, I drew my weapon and struck with its hilt and the one collapsed. I pointed towards the pony. The words were simple but the effect was profound, “Let. Her. Go.”
There was laughter that I didn't know the reason, so I checked behind me. Nothing, absolutely nothing behind me. I turned back to them and saw one had stepped forward and spoke. Her voice had a certain sophistication and a hint of charm to it, but something was weird about it. “If we remove the device now she will die. I'm sure you don't want that. So give us an hour to finish the test.” I wanted to agree to her terms. I opened my mouth to agree. “No!” Then a massive headache began. My head was being pulled in two different directions. Then a third thought began to appear, Just destroy them all, no one will care about them. I immediately buried that thought. And a pain began at the back of my head while my initial headache disappeared as they turned towards a screen at the far end of the room. It was beeping at an alarming rate as one of the cloaked people stated this is impossible. I looked over at Trixie and saw something that made my heart stop. A black liquid was starting to pour from her eyes. Quickly putting a hand up to my own eye I felt liquid pouring from it I brought my own hand down and looked at it as I began to tire quickly. It was coated in the black liquid. I quickly lost consciousness after that.
When I awoke I was outside the lab. The sun had begun to rise and I was in my pony form. Looking around I saw Trixie lying a few yards from me. I got up and shook my head clear of all of the fog. I walked over to Trixie and nudged her. “Wake up sleeping beauty. Your prince is in another castle.” She stirred and slowly got up. “Where. . . Where am I,” she asked groggily. I looked around and answered, “A few minutes outside Trottingham.” She shook her head clear and quickly regained her composure, “The Great and Powerful Trixie thanks you for your assistance, and asks for another favor. Will you perhaps escort Trixie to her trailer?” I started laughing and she looked at me weird. I finally stopped laughing and looked back at her. She had an indignant stare on her face. “What is the joke that Trixie is not getting.” I shot her a toothy grin that creeped her out. I finally shook my head. “I've already saved you once and now you want me to take you to a trailer,” I asked. Her head tilted in confusion, “What do you mean? I was saved by one of those hairless primates. Not some poser pony with a chip on their shoulder.” I began laughing again as I shifted to my human form. I looked at Trixie again and she had a look of absolute terror which turned to shock and then to amazment, which turned quickly turned back to terror, and finally settling on shock. I bowed gracefully and and smiled saying, “Hello Trixie. My name is Brandon. Guardian of all I meet, follower of no set path, knight of the wind that blows free, and master of long-winded introduction. At least, according to one element of loyalty. Now shall we go?” After introducing myself I shifted back to my pony form. “And I am known as Tyler. A pleasure to meet you Great and Powerful Trixie.”
Book the Thirteenth A.K.A True measurements
I was busy dragging Trixie's god forsaken trailer, cart I don't care what it's called I just wanted it gone now, back to Ponyville. Trixie was busy getting ready as I took her to Manehatten (Forget that!). We had reached the outskirts of town when she poked her head out of the monstrosity I was dragging behind me. “Excuse me Tyler, The Great and Powerful Trixie demands to know where you are taking her.” I sighed as I began to think up an excuse, when one didn't come to mind I just hung my head. “To Ponyville oh great and name exhausting one,” I answered exasperated. I heard a slight fear creep into her voice, “Oh no, Trixie can not be seen here. They still haven't forgiven me about last time.” I sighed again, “You mean the Ursa Minor that two completely unrelated idiots brought? I would hardly call that your fault. Then again you did boast a bit. But, unless boasting is a crime punishable by banishment. . .” My voice trailed off as a pony glared at me, turned her nose up, and walked away from me. “Wow. That was harsh for a small amount of boasting.” “It might be worse,” was all she had to say.
I stopped by the TARDIS and informed The Doctor to see if anything had happened and found out that another human had appeared and had joined The Knight up at the castle and that he was currently visiting the elements to familiarize herself with the area, history, and the nuances of the pony society. I gave him a nod and transformed into my human form. I told The Doctor where I had left Trixie. Right before I left he warned me, “Don't go causing trouble unless you're prepared to handle the consequences.” I nodded and left to go to the one place I knew she's be, Twilight's home, the local library.
Upon reaching the tree I knocked on the door. There was a scurrying of hooves and the scrape of metal on wood. I looked back at my weapon and saw it had returned to it's original form so I placed it back to it's place on my side. The door opened and Twilight's eyes were closed as she rattled off, “I'm sorry, but the library is closed right. . .” it was then that she opened her eyes and saw me. I gave her a smile and small wave. “Hello, again, Twilight,” was the only thing I said to her. Her eyes went wide as some of the memories probably flooded back into her mind and she retreated back into the house. I stepped inside and said loudly, “I know your in here. Come out of hiding. Your the new human royal guard that crashed here and found the princesses. Which one do you follow? Sun or moon? Light or dark?” A door directly across from the entrance opened and she stood there with armor fitted for her that had the mark of the sun on it. “Well, that answered two question,” I said amused. “Surrender or perish from my blade,” came out of her mouth. I began to chuckle when the other elements began peeking from their hiding places. She growled at me as I held up a hand. I caught myself after a few more bursts of laughter and began to explain, “I'm sorry I just couldn't help but laugh at the sentence you just made, 'or die from my blade', sorry but the proper structure is 'die by my blade', and lets face it, I could probably beat you easily for no other reason than I have more experience here than you.” She charged me and I backed up through the door to the outside.
I had her chase me to the outskirts of town where I had left the zanbantou that my first opponent had left. I turned to here and lifted up the blade towards her and said, “Don't try to fight me. It will just end up tiring you out.” She charged at me again as I dropped the BFS that I had and dodged her thrust. I bopped her in the face with my right hand and she flew back almost to her original position. “Draw you weapon,” she exclaimed in anger. I shook my head and took a fighting stance similar to that of Guile. “Sorry lady, that's for a real fight. Not for this,” I retorted. She charged again and I mearly sidestepped her and tripped her. She fell flat on her face and I pinned sword arm and crouched. She tensed right before I patted her on the back of the head. “Try again in another few months,” I informed her as I got off her sword arm. She tuned to look up at me as I held my arm down to help her up. She smacked my hand away as she got up and readied herself. I heard a faint laugh come from nowhere(but nowhere is somewhere isn't it) and began looking around. She never dropped her stance as I was glancing around. I stopped and looked back at her. I sighed and held up my hands. “I surrender,” I spoke with my most bored voice. She was slightly taken aback by this but she recovered quickly.
The ride up to Canterlot was quiet. Not that I didn't try to initiate conversation. She just kept saying, “Be quite.”
We were outside the throne room with my 'captor', hands tied and her carrying my sword. The doors opened as we walked up to them and I took a seat in front of the princesses. I worked my wrists a bit to loosen the bond as they began to question me. “Who are you,” Celestia asked first. I replied, “No one. Well someone that is a no one.” They looked at me weird and I sighed, “My name is Brandon. Now kindly undo the rope. If I had wanted to kill you I'd of done it by now.” Celestia backed off a bit as Luna backed off behind her sister. Some of the guards pointed their spears at me. I smiled and remarked, “That'll do.” I swept the rope across the tip of the spear and grabbed it. I stood up to my full height and rolled my wrist. The door opened again as Shining Armor and The Knight rushed in. I bowed to them only speaking, “Hello, captain of the guards, Shining Armor. How's that wife of yours?” He immediately 'lit' his horn. “What did you do to Cadence,” He shouted as The Knight charged me. I deflected it with the spears haft and grabbed another spear. I deflected an attack coming from the lady knight from earlier. I heard the same laughter from before as I glanced around again. I noticed a small black mist coming off of one of the guards. I quickly repelled both of my combatants and jumped. I landed near the pony I thought had the aura and I looked at him.
A strike of lightning brought me out of my stare down with the guard and brought me over to the stain glass windows. I looked at Celestia and Luna and asked, “Any of these windows open?” I quickly followed up with, “Standard stupid question. Now let's see what that was.” I broke the stain glass window and looked out over the town. There was a big storm cloud swirling over the entire city. Everything in the room was shocked. The girl was the first to respond though, she charged me again. I turned and placed one of the spears across the window and at the last second stepped out of the way. She snapped the spear's shaft but it slowed her down enough to keep her from running off the edge, though she was teetering on the edge. I took this opportunity to take back my sword and pull her back in. She looked up at me as I looked back and said, “Now, don't say I never did anything for you.”
The pegasus guards agreed to check out the storm cloud as the rest of us waited. Well, they waited, I went out to investigate the area. Celestia gave me a charm that would allow me almost instantaneous communication with them. Three strikes of lightning stuck in three areas forming an equilateral triangle around the castle. The charm began to glow and vibrate. I stood out of sight from any passing pony and focused. Celestia and Luna appeared and began to question what that could be. I stopped them quickly. “Hey, you two,” I focused and the celestial sisters disappeared and the two armored humans appeared, “I want you to investigate two of those strikes. I'll take the one farthest from the castle.” And with that I stopped the conversation before they could respond and focused on the only other thing I could trust. “Hey, Shining, make sure nothing strange happens.” He begrudgingly nodded. I reached the area where the lightning strike and immediately readied myself. There was something in the air that reeked of trouble. I reached the scorched area, and found only a note. A card was attached to the note.
Hello, you may not know us, but we know you. We also know that the knight and the girl aren't with you. So be thankful that we're not after you. That stone you hold onto though, the Rainbow Moonstone, that emerald you found earlier, that interests us. We would ask that you hand it over, but we know your answer. So look up to your left after looking at the card.
I glanced at the card, another tarrot card, number XV The Devil. After crushing the card I glanced up and to the left. And noticed a man gliding down on jet black wings. He landed and I started making verbal observations, “Wings, seemingly the same type as a pegasus'. Jet black normally represents bad intent. Your here to get me to join that moron Nightmane or whatever her name is right?” He gawked at me before laughing. “Not quite,” came the reply, “Not her. The original ruler of Equestria. He has been imprisoned for long enough by those two power-hungry ponies. Over one thousand years, too long right?” He gave me a look that just ticked me off. A toothy smile, with no reservations. “I'll consider it on one condition,” I replied holding up the tarot card, “burn the card.” He pulled out a fan and swiped at the card and the card burst into flames. I laughed at this and responded, “That was amazing. I think. . .” I paused, “I'll stay where I am. I hope your dragon or whatever he is has a good rest. Now, where is the person that was here?” He sighed and swung the fan at me. I grabbed his arm and sighed. He started laughing and I instinctively let go and retreated a good distance as the area around him burst into flames.
“So, would you like to reconsider my proposition,” the man, named Issac, laughed, foot pushing down on the back of my head. “You know,” I said with a solemn smile, “I think you had a point there. I will join.” He put more weight on me as he appeared to bend down. “I was joking,” was all he said.
Book the Twentieth aka night of nightmares.
Nightmare night was essentially Halloween, and some kind of offering from church. I decided to keep my candy, considering she was my enemy any way. I let the others do what they wanted, and we had some fun at the games, and then the carnival, the carnival looked like the best part of the night, until I remembered that I hadn't seen any ponies working on it and I hadn't even heard anything about a carnival until I saw it, I could tell exactly where this night was going very quickly as Applejack asked where Applebloom and Mac was. I pointed to the carnival that she apparently hadn't noticed and said that we would try to run and get help. And help we did find (Namely ourselves if you couldn't guess by now). All of the sudden there was a ringing through the town that drew everything to in front of the carnival there was what looked like a strange patchwork pony with big yellow eyes. I had gotten a faint feeling of what it could be when Veronica From what I can gather that would be Violet gasped, I glanced and saw Vivi floating looking suitably frightened.
"Fillies and Gentlecolts," the strange pony began, "I must welcome you all to the Carnival of Chaos. I urge all of you to come in and spend what is the best night of any night to join in on the fright. Because if you don't." At this Vivi and several of the foals flew up and hovered beside her, "I'll just have to keep all of these lovely little ones for myself, oh and this one," She brought out Macintosh from inside the carnival, "Will be mine for all of eternity." She walked up beside Mac and nuzzled him. I tried to formulate a plan but was coming up with a blank. I sighed and stepped up, "How do we get them back," I asked. "Simple," she replied with a smile, "win." And with that she and all of the hostages were gone. All of the gathered looked at me as I clenched my fists with a smile, "Alright," I said quietly, "you want me to win your little game? I'll do it my way." And with that I charged into the carnival. A few brave souls joined me, including Ace, AJ, Dash, and Rarity, while the others that were about to enter were cut off by a barrier that only Veronica and Twilight got past.
We had decided to split up with myself going to the obvious trap of the big top. Stepping inside another barrier set up preventing me from leaving. Just then spotlights shone upon the tight rope and three figures where lit up, two hanging and one standing over them. My heart sank as my brain processed the image before me, Vivi and Pip were hanging under the tight rope while above them, "Hello, my love," Hope said flirty, "Its been so long since we've seen each other." "Nowhere near long enough," I replied quietly as I gripped my head trying to get her voice out of my head from the last time. I heard her land near me as she picked up my head, "Is your head hurting you my love," she asked, a smile growing on her face, "Should I make it all better for you?" She brought one hand to her heart and it began to glow yellow. I quickly backed away from her before her hand could make contact with my head as she began to frown, "What's the matter my l-" "Quit calling me that," I loudly interrupted, "Not after what you tried to do to Vivi." She looked like I had just insulted her hair, which was the disgusting shade of grey. "But I was just trying to protect you from falling in love with another girl." "SHE'S TWELVE," I replied angrily, "AND YOU ALMOST THREW HER OFF A CLIFF!" She paused for a moment before smiling again, "Semantics," was all that was said as she charged me.
Fighting Hope is among my top two least favorite things to do in Equestria her fighting style involving those stupid gauntlents that I was barely able to dodge and counter. Not that countering did much as she blocked my own strikes. The only other trick I had up my sleeve was the Dark Gauntlet but without a clear strike it was likely to atomize the bones in my arm before I could hit her, besides she would just use it as an excuse to claim that I subconsciously loved her and I wasn't putting up with any of that. I could try to get Vivi and Pip down but she would just knock me back to the ground. I decided to try something crazy and summoned the power of the rainbow moonstone. "What are you doing darling," Hope asked, "Using the power of the stone? It won't work because you're not being loyal to the one you love." She was right, partially. I couldn't access its power, due to being in the carnival. I cursed as she charged me again and again I dodged. There was nothing for it. Pip and Vivi had overcome any sleeping enchantment placed on them and were struggling to free themselves.
I thought quickly and shouted up to Vivi, "Ride the wind." And with that I threw my sword at the ropes that were binding the two of them together. Success as Vivi and Pip fell and Vivi used her magic to slow their fall to stop them from suffering from gravity. Hope pointed to me and yelled, "THAT'S NOT FAIR! YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT!" I smiled and shrugged and she charged me, which Vivi countered by using fire to stop her. She turned to Vivi and said, "You little bi-" that was as far as she got when I made contact with my Dark Gauntlet and sent her flying until she was a twinkle in the sky. I looked after her and said, "There are children present." I dismissed the power of the Dark Gauntlet and gave Vivi a thumbs up which she returned with a smile. I thought about how I was going to get my sword back as something came flying back at me. My blade sunk into the ground behind me as a black cloaked figure appeared in front of me and placed his hands on my neck. I felt myself being picked up and tried to see inside the hood, and what I saw terrified me. Eyes full of malicious intent and a feel of pure evil made me stop struggling out of fear. The hooded man chuckled as he raised me higher as my vision began to blink out and I heard an explosion, a rush of wind, and the figure disappeared within a few seconds of each other. I held my neck as I gasped and looked at what had saved me, to be fair she might not have been much to look at but to me, at that moment, she was the most beautiful woman in the world to be fair he almost died . "Thanks," was all I could manage as the girl turned back to me. "Secondary objective complete, moving onto main objective," she stated in a dull monotone. I silently picked myself up as I went to my sword and returned it to were it belongs. Vivi and Pip ran up to me as the girl left. I told Pip and Vivi to leave, which she did reluctantly. I then exited the main tent and began to wonder what the rest of the night would bring.
I awoke, feeling weird as I didn't remember falling asleep. I was tied up with the girl who had saved me. My eyes adjusted to the dark area quickly as I saw a few blank eyed stares from the foals that had been kidnapped. I heard a mocking laugh come from somewhere to my left and, as I turned I saw the same yellow pony that had began the 'game'. "How quaint that you should fall right into my trap," she said, openly mocking me, "I was told that the knight with no armor was smarter than that." I chuckled back, "What makes you think I didn't plan for this?" She thought about it for a moment and replied, "Who plans to fail." I had shaken her, I was happy about it. I thought for a second as the girl awoke, and whispered to her, "Watch this." Then loudly to the pony, "You know, if you wanted to talk to me you could have just come to a psychiatrist's office, they have very comfy chairs there." She looked at me like I had a screw loose before saying, "I don't need comfy chairs." I looked back at the girl and said, quite contently, "I made her say comfy chair." She sighed and started to swing us. The pony laughed and stated, "You shouldn't do that. You wouldn't want to hurt them," at that point the curtain behind her rose and a few actual girls were struggling with their rope bonds, she looked back with puppy dog eyes, "Would you?"
I took a deep breath and smiled as both ropes were burned and wind launched me between the yellow pony and the girls, all of whom were complaining about something or other. I smiled as my sword landed in front of me and said, "Checkmate." The pony looked like I had cheated, then she disappeared in a puddle of darkness. I shrugged and looked back at the girls and asked, "Are you okay?" They all began answering and asking questions at once, "One at a time," I replied back annoyed. A blond girl piped up, "Who made you boss?" I smiled drawing my blade and swung it at her, stopping just before her neck. "That answer your question," I asked already knowing the answer. She nodded and backed away from me as I sheathed my blade. The next moment I was doubled over as a 'wand' smacked the back of my head. "What was that about," Vivi asked heatedly. "She," was all I could get out before I was hit again. "You're older onii-chan. Act like it," she scolded. I nodded fervently and apologized to the girls, and turned back to the woman about my age, and asked, "Your name?" She stood up and turned to me from the foals and replied, "What would you knowing my name accomplish?" I stood thinking about it for a moment and conceded, saying, "I guess it's just a gesture of good faith." She turned away from me and stated, "Make sure that everything gets out safely as I dismantle this facility."
I was utterly shocked, and a tad impressed but that thought was squashed quickly, as she moved over to the main pillar and started to punch it. I quickly ushered everyone thing? These characters are kinda similar. out, and not a moment too soon. Looking about I saw fog residing around the town as a group of ponies began cheering for me, then more, then still more. I realized something wrong was happening when I saw the fog outside the town, but the cheering ponies confirmed it, they were cheering my name, My Name , I had never told them my name! I smiled as I unsheathed my blade and swung it hoping, dreaming, that the blade would 'fly', and it did just that. A few ponies disappeared and a trembling happened, when it stopped I found myself in what looked like a rundown house. My mind already began to race as thumps and bumps happened around me and I heard a laugh. The frankin-pony I hazed a guess as she began to talk, "This is the true carnival of chaos, what is inside your own head, the tall, face-less man, the living statues, and the creature that walks in others skins. Your worst nightmares, come to life. Is it not terro-" I decided to interrupt her at this point, "Now look lady, props for the original idea, really, but nightmares also include dreams, so I'd just use my good thoughts against your bad ones and nothing would happen, so let's end this." I heard a voice echo around, something was familiar about it, but the discord in it was overwhelming and hard to pick which voice I recognized from the other thousand that said the same thing at the same time. It took me a second before I remembered where I had seen this kind of thing before, a world of subconscious thoughts, and for the second time that night, fear crept over me. The second voice laughed after I trembled for a bit and stated that I would have no where to run, cause I didn't HAVE any happy thoughts. A door opened and I ran through it.
The other side of the door was just like the place I had just run from and the doors closed behind me. The second voice laughed and asked, "If you continue further, can you face the truth?" I panted as my heart raced as my legs shook. I gathered what little courage I had at this point and took a meaningful step away from the door and into the fog-bound corridor.
Author's Note
Ok guys (and girls) gonna level with you. There are a good amount of pages torn from the diary, and I'm seeing incomplete equestrian characters. I'm also seeing things crammed into the margins, names and such, that I can't make heads or tails of. I do recognize some of the words from my psychology class.
A/N I don't hate Bronies.
Book the first, A.K.A How did we get here?
“So, that's it,” asked a voice.
“Yeah,” came the reply
“I can't believe that I let you talk me into watching that,” the first voice said with a sigh.
Whenever we went anywhere after I found out my friend was a brony, that's all that seemed to come up in conversations, along with my tiring sighs and empty threats. I guess I better introduce my self. My name is Brandon. I'm nineteen years old and in college. My friend is my ride up every other day we get along well despite the whole brony thing (not that there is anything wrong with that). He showed me a couple of episodes and all I could think of is how straightforward their thinking was and how oblivious they were. But all in all it didn't catch my interest. Now I know what your thinking, 'Why is this journal trashing the bronies,” well it's not, it's documenting my adventure as guardian of the area around Ponyville, so now let's start at the beginning.
It was like any Wednesday: almost slept through my classes, had lunch, and quickly finished up homework. When we found that thing. It looked like a skipping rock. Then he saw the design “just like Twilight Sparkle's cutie mark,” he said. Our next class went off without a hitch and we began to make our way back to his car when the dumb rock began to glow
The next thing I know I'm waking up in some dark area. I shook my head clear and heard a girl's voice ask, “Are you all right?” I quickly turned around and saw that there was indeed a girl standing behind me. “No. . . I'm . . fine,” I said, slowly getting up from what felt like a hard landing. She giggled and hugged me. Strange, I thought, Is she just really friendly or something? She looked at me and smiled, “I'm just glad your alright.” This took away any words or thoughts that could have helped me. Do . . .something, anything, but by answering my question, that nobody had heard, she had effectively told me she can read minds. She let go of me and took a step back. “Not everyone's, just yours,” She had effectively stopped anything going to my brain except for one question that burst out. “HOW?!”
She smiled again, “Because we're linked together. You're my chosen wielder and I am your weapon.” I blinked a few times in disbelief and decided to play along with whatever her game was. “Alright, how do I use you as a weapon when I can hardly swing you.” Her face became serious for the first time since I had met her, and I'll admit it scared me quite a bit, she picked up a stick about the size of my arm and threw it at me and I caught it near one end. Right before my eyes the stick changed into a katana. Taking this in stride with the other unusual things that had happened that day, for it was now night in the middle of this . . . 'forest? Yes defiantly a forest'. I thanked her and looked down at my sides for her sheath as I noticed another unusual thing, my clothes had changed into a combination of Auron's garb from Final Fantasy X and Shinigami Robes. The overload of information caused me to black out.
Book the Fourth AKA Getting to know the locals
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back at a certain blue box. . .
A brown earth pony sat under the console on a raised platform in the middle of a giant room. All of the sudden he rolled out and sat upright quick as a flash. With a look of worry slowly turning into one of amusement he said, “Oh, dear, I just let him go with the most navigationally challenged pony that I have ever met. Oh well if anything bad happens, it's just a quick jump with the TARDIS.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Ponyville. . .
Ditzy and I walked through the small town. Everyone was friendly to me and I was courteous to them. Ditzy even introduced me to a couple of friends of hers. My biggest surprise came in the form of a bubble gum pink pony that gasped and ran off almost immediately. I looked at Ditzy and she just smiled and replied, “That's just Pinkie Pie. She's definitely going to throw you a party later. She always throws parties.” I nodded and proceeded to continue walking around. There were so many ponies of every type. (EVEN UNICORNS!) I was so caught up in the moment that I didn't see that I had gotten separated from Ditzy and stopped paying attention to where I was going. I then bumped into a unicorn and we both fell. I got up quickly and offered a hand. . . er, hoof to help her up. She accepted my help with, “Thanks man.” I smiled and asked, “What's your name?” “Oh, it's Vinyl Scratch, but you might have heard of me by my stage name: DJ Pon3.” I shook my head and informed her, “Sorry, Vinyl I've never heard that before. My names Tyler by the way.” She looked slightly confused and voice her confusion, “Who hasn't heard of DJ Pon3? Even that Classical diva Octavia knows that name.” I looked away embarrassed and said, “Sorry I haven't heard much from news here. I just sort of stumbled into an old friend near here, um. . .” I paused, whether to build suspense or cover the fact that I was lying I can't remember now. At this point, Ditzy came up to us and said hello to Vinyl and started pulling me away to meet the other ponies of ponyville. Before I let her drag me away I finished my sentence, “I would like to see one of your shows, Ms. Scratch. My dad always told me to try something new every new place I went.”
Ditzy then dragged me off to meet a strange pegasus that had a rainbow colored mane and tail. I mentally prepared myself for some pun on it and wasn't disappointed as she introduced herself, “I'm Rainbow Dash, the coolest, most awesome, greatest flier in all of Equestria.” I scoffed and was immediately shot a look from a small orange filly that I assumed was a pegasus, I looked around uncomfortably and replied, “Er, hello Rainbow Dash, the Great, I am Tyler, the one very concerned over his own well-being at the moment.” She laughed and said, “That is the longest title I've ever heard.” I looked down and scuffed the ground with my foot. . . hoof (darn vernacular) like I was getting praise and replied, “Thanks. I put absolutely no thought into that name. Glad I can think on my hooves here.” Ditzy's eyes lit up but Rainbow didn't notice it (due to the laughing). “Well see you later Tyler, the long-winded.” She turned to Ditzy and said, “Goodbye, Derpy.” With that she turned to the young pegasus that was next to her and ran off saying, “Let's go, Scoots.” The orange filly ran after her I shook my head and chuckled muttering, “Long-winded, I'll have to remember that one.” Then turned to Ditzy and asked, loud enough for her to hear, “Did she just call you Derpy? Is that some sort of nickname?” Ditzy looked down like she was ashamed and replied, “Yeah, it's not a very good one though.” I nodded in agreement to this and looked around. My eyes were drawn to two other unicorns one purple and the other white. The purple one had a small something on her back. I began to shy out of the way and asked Ditzy softly, “Is there anywhere that I can get information for this place.” She nodded and showed me to the library. “Here it is, Tyler. This is the library.” I nodded and stepped inside and pulled out a couple of books that looked like history books. “Ah, Ditzy you can do whatever you want to at the moment I have to read these books. You know, so I don't stand out.” She nodded and I noticed something about her eyes one was looking away from me and the other was looking straight at me. Unnerved by this I asked, “Um. This might be a bit personal but, way are your eyes like that.” She blushed and looked away, the one eye trying to stay focused on me. “I . . . don't want to talk about it,” she replied. I nodded and said, with a reasonable voice, “Of course. If you don't want to talk about it then there's a good reason. I guess I'll here it when your ready to tell me. Thank you for putting up with me Ditzy.” She smiled and replied brightly, “No problem, Tyler. Whenever you need me Just ask someone for Derpy.” I looked at her and said, “I most certainly will not, Ditzy. We're friends and I wouldn't use a nickname if I'm looking for you.” With a smile on her face Ditzy went out the doors leaving me to study in peace.
A Good bit later the pile of books on my left reduced to one, the door opened and I heard a girl ask, “Can I help you?” I looked up and saw the purple unicorn that I had seen earlier, and she had the weird small creature on her back. I looked around the room then back to her. “Um, no, thank you Miss, I think I'm doing alright.” I blinked a few times in sudden realization. “No-pony came in here during all of my studying. What are you doing here.” She examined the books I was and had been reading then turned to me and replied, “I live here. Why are you so interested in history?” I glanced around quickly and realized that no one was going to get me out of this jam and replied, “I've always been told that those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. So I'm learning everything I can so that I don't make mistakes like the first settlers of Equestria did.” She nodded, taking my excuse as the truth while I mentally jumped for joy at the fact that I had remembered that fact considering that I had just skimmed over it. She looked at the last book in my next to start pile. “You know if you want you can barrow this one.” I nodded and stated, “Thank you miss, and sorry for barging into your home. I didn't know that when I came in.” She nodded and said to the creature on her back, “Spike do we have any bags.” The creature slid off her back and looked around the house for a minute and came back with a small bag. The unicorn thanked it and placed the book in the bag and I was out the door. I walked back to the TARDIS. There was a note on the door,
Dear Tyler,
You should be seeing this note by the afternoon, more likely in the evening.
You should head over to the Sugercube Corner. Located right next to the Carousel Boutique, near the center of town.
See you there, The Doctor
P.S. Just leave the book in the Police box. It shouldn't go anywhere.
I looked at the note suspiciously. Mostly because the Doctor had said the Police box shouldn't go anywhere. Has it wandered off on him before? I sighed and entered the Police box, placed the book on a table that was inside and exited and closed the door. I looked at the note again and asked, “OK, how do I get to Sugercube Corner?” I heard a noise behind me. I whipped around and saw Spike standing there. “Hello Spike,” I said calmly sinking to be at his level, “Do you think you could show me to Sugercube Corner. I'm . . . supposed to meet a friend there.” He looked at me weirdly and asked, “How don't you know how to get there when your meeting your friend there?” I was awestruck, I didn't show it of course, but still. I gave him a nervous smile and replied, “He . . . always forgets to add the small details.” Spike seemed to believe me and we started off. We where about half-way to Sugercube Corner (using my current knowledge) when Spike burped up green flames and a small note. “Uh oh,” Spike muttered. I looked at him strangely and asked, “What's wrong Spike?” He turned and immediately jumped on my back replying, “Urgent message from the princess, we gotta hurry to Sugercube Corner. It's that way.” I replied by rearing up and took off as fast as my new legs could take me.
Sugercube Corner was dark when we entered. I stayed low to the ground ready for anything when the lights suddenly turned on and there where balloons and streamers everywhere. I jumped what must have been ten feet. The pink pony that I had seen earlier bounced up beside me and gave me a pat on the back, where Spike wasn't sitting, and said, “I'm Pinkie Pie. Why are you wearing the cloak? Are you celebrating Nightmare Night at this time at your old home? Don't you love parties? Wow mister, you must have really needed this party, if that's how you react to surprises.” I scowled at her and replied, “Well, where I'm from that could be the difference between life and death.” Spike cleared his throat and I calmed down quickly. “Sorry about that, I can get annoyed easily. My name is Tyler, and the little dragon is looking for some-pony.” The pink pony nodded and pointed to the purple unicorn that had been with him earlier. I nodded to him and he slid off my back. I turned back to see the pink pony bounce off to be with the unicorn. I shrugged as best I could and looked for the Doctor or Ditzy. I saw Vinyl on stage messing with a mixing board so I decided against trying to make conversation with her, when a sea blue unicorn came up to me and introduced herself excitedly, “My name is Lyra. Ditzy told me that you believe that humans exist.” I grinned as I thought how clever Ditzy really was, when she wanted to be, and replied, “Hello Ms. Lyra.” I bowed and continued, “I do believe that humans exist, but they live on a different universe than us. Which is why no-pony can find any proof on them.” I nodded as the pieces lined up in my head. Humans, Protheans of the Equestrian galaxy/universe. I smiled as the Mass Effect reference hit my full thought. “Maybe they lived on another planet and tales were whispered on solar wind.” She nodded furiously and I saw other ponies giggle. I smiled at the irony of the situation, here I was, a born human, able to blend in with the local population, with the Doctor's help but still. I mentally laughed at the fact that the 'nut' was the only one that was able to comprehend what might happen. A few more ponies walked up and we had a few conversations. (Bon-Bon, Berry Punch, and Colgate for those wondering.) When I bumped into a yellow pegasus with pink hair. . . (YOU KNOW WHAT? FORGET THE DANG VENCULAR!) She almost immediately started apologizing as I helped her up. I put my hoof in front of her and she 'epped' as I apologized for bumping into her. She stuttered as we continued talking, “M-m-m-m-my name's, um, Fluttershy.” The last part was so soft that I couldn't hear it over the other noises at the party. “I'm sorry, could you say that again? I couldn't quite hear you.” She mumbled again, “My name's Fluttershy.” I caught it the second time. “Hello Fluttershy. My name is Tyler.” I took a polite bow and she blushed as I continued. “Are enjoying Pinkie's party. Cause to tell you the truth it's a tad too noisy for my taste. But, she threw it for me. I can't complain. Oh, how uncivilized of me, due you need something?” She nodded and replied, “Twilight needs to see you right away. She said something about the precipice of disaster.” I nodded and motioned for her to lead on. We headed into a small room and noticed some of the other ponies I had seen earlier. The purple unicorn walked up to me and asked, “Tyler do you still have that book I lent you?” I was slightly confused, “Uh, yeah I do. Is there any particular reason?” She nodded and replied, “Yeah. The princess wanted us to see something about a prophecy.” I nodded and took off back to the TARDIS, grabbed the bag, ran back to the party, and handed the bag to Twilight. She levitated a the book out of the bag and opened to a page. “Here it is every-pony. It says here. . .”
Book the Fourteenth aka Those who help
Well, face down with a foot posed dangerously close to my head. Not exactly how I planned on going out, but when life gives you lemons , where my last thoughts when I felt my attacker pull his weight off of me and I heard a table crash nearby. I immediately scrambled away from Issac and looked for my savior, and my heart sunk, but it also rose. Two mares were high-fiving while retreating, the two mares in question were Vinyl and Octavia. I had to remember to thank them if, when, my secret got out. I turned back to them man who had given me a curb stomp battle. I smiled and said, “Looks like I won't need that deal after all.” He scowled and replied, “Lucky boy, your guardian angels saved you, but now their gone.” My grin grew wider as I rebuked him, “A good amount of skill is luck. And when it comes to harm, I think I'm the luckiest guy in the world cause I have better reflexes.” I was quite happy to see that his victory being pulled out from under him like a rug had a visible effect on him, shaking in anger. I saw the cafe were Vinyl and Octavia got the table and a bunch of ponies just standing there staring. I walked over, took a seat, and ordered a drink.
He charged me and I was able to counter and obstruct his view with the table and draw my sword. By the time he had removed the table from his face I placed a shallow cut on his stomach and placed the blade at his neck. "So," I stated, "about the person who was here." He was a little freaked out and said in a somewhat panicky voice that they had sent her to the castle. I thanked him and started to run back to the castle when a wall of fire appeared between me and my destination. I turned back and the man was nearly foaming at the mouth in rage. I smiled and charged him again, and everything slowed down around me. One quick slash and he was nothing but ashes to be blown away in the wind. I re-sheathed my blade and headed for the castle again.
Going further into the castle put me on edge, guards lined the sides of the halls, none killed thankfully but made me wonder what kind of weapon the person would use. I reached a door that I remembered from my first visit to the castle. I opened the door and Luna and Celestia were barely holding the girl back. I picked up a very small piece of wall and tossed it at her head. She turned and I guessed she would be about 11 or 12. I waved with a small smile as I spoke, "Well what do we have here," I asked rhetorically, "Where's your mother?" She pointed her staff at me as I threw myself out of the way. A fireball hit the spot where I was standing. I gave a whistle of awe as I got back on my feet and I turned back to the girl who was getting ready to attack me again. I ran at her and tackled her and knocked the staff from her hand. I picked her up and to stop her from squirming, headbutted her. My vision swam and I fell to the ground as blackness greeted me.
I got up groggily and shook my head to try and clear my head. I began looking around, not that there was much to see, and got up. Ripples appeared in the darkness that surrounded me and reminded me of something out of Kingdom Hearts. I then noticed dark vines holding the girl I had just fought, and I ran over to try and pull her out. The moment I touched her hand I heard someone behind me say, "Don't touch her, she is essential to my plan." I turned and saw a floating ball of light. I promptly turned around and pulled the girl free of the vines. I looked at the light and said, "Sorry, what was that," I asked smiling. The light flashed and I awoke back up in the element room. I looked over at the girl and she began to stir, Celestia and Luna preparing for another battle. I walked over to the girl and offered her a hand up, which she took reluctantly. I was almost beside myself with relief as I asked her if she was ok. She began asking a lot of questions, "Where am I? Who are you? Who are they?" I calmed her down with a hug, which she tearfully reciprocated. The hug stopped after a minute and I smiled at her. I pointed at Celestia and Luna and introduced them. The I pointed at myself and introduced myself and then told her the name of the land we were in.
The Knight and the Female Knight (Whom I shall refer to as Amber) came back soon after I explained almost everything. They wondered who the girl was and she informed us that she had, (Dun Dun DUN!) forgotten. I thought for almost a half minute before smiling and ruffling up her hair, and stated, "Your name is now Vivian, or Vivi for short." Then I was asked, "Why did you name her that?" I shrugged and went to the door. Before leaving I turned back to the Knight and Amber and said, "She's a mage, let Celestia and Luna handle helping her get stronger." Everyone stared at me incredulously for what could have been a few minutes as I left. When I had reached the train station I felt someone tug me and I looked. Vivi had followed me to the station. She looked at me and asked, "Why are you being so nice to me? Especially after," she began tearing up at the memories. I placed my hand on her head and said, "Because I know that people can be rescued from darkness." She began crying at that and held on to my hand. "Thank you," she began between sobs, "thank you so much." I replied, "No thanks necessary. We're the same after all. The only difference is that you needed a helping hand." She looked up at me and I gave her the biggest smile I could muster as I said, "Besides, we're family." And with that she began crying louder. I picked her up and brought her on the train so that I could help her out however I could.
Wow. So many things happened before I even got past the first paragraph. Well, here's to the future true believes!
